Best RPG from a mechanical and/or technical stand point

Unlike any game ever played, while the fighting is not the most enjoyable experience and won’t be anything like most games today, what this app offers outside of combat is so strong that it has kept me hooked since the day I picked it up.

this app is a game for those that favor playing every character a game has to offer, being able to see how they operate, and utilizing them to help out your other available characters. On top this app has a great many ways to improve your characters and as you travel these start to stack crazy fast bringing you from the start dealing 1-5 damage to the end dealing 100mil damage and beyond!

If your the type that enjoys seeing progress and building a strong unit, this game is 100% for you! From a beginners stand point the game also doesn’t throw too much at you at one time. As you make your way through the worlds you unlock more parts of the game and can really learn them at that time, so you are never overloaded on info. On top there are no mistakes, everything you do can trickle down later and some things are even reversible.

Great game, horrible bugs

I love the game, don't get me wrong- I've played into World 2. It's great fun and probably my favorite idle game I've found. I'd give this a 5-star rating if I could keep playing it.

Unfortunately, I'm completely unable to make any further progress due to a game-breaking bug that's been there ever since the Idle Skilling NPC was added, and there aren't any signs of a fix yet. Tapping on quest NPCs to turn in a quest crashes the game with no progress made. I can't turn in quests to progress. I can't even unlock a subclass because I have to turn in a quest to do that. I can't make progress anymore. I reported the bug a month ago and noticed several other people have as well, so it's not a one-off. This is a real problem among several other game-breaking bugs. NPCs can be tapped through menus (which also crashes the game), for example.

The worst part is that because I signed up with an iOS account, I can't play in browser to get past the bug blockage, so I'm screwed. Nowhere did it mention that Apple accounts couldn't be used in browser. I'd have appreciated a warning about that. If you sign up, use email or a non-Apple method if you want to play in browser or on Steam!

TL;DR: great game, really wish I could keep playing it but I'm unable to progress whatsoever because of game-breaking bugs and Apple account lock-in.

Great but occasional issues

I’ve been playing for a few months now. I’ve been loving the game, but the past 2-3 updates have caused my game data to roll back. I’d update the game, then play for a few hours, then save and exit. Usually, that would be just fine and I’d collect my afk rewards. The past few updates, however, have given a different outcome. My data would be rolled back to prior to the last few hours of active gameplay. This has been a minor issue up until now. I finally beat the world 4 boss and unlocked world 5 this time. I learned about divinity sailing and gaming, set all my characters up, then put them back to their respective occupations. If you play, you know unlocking a new world takes time initially. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I missed out on so much work, only to be set back.

GG 😭

I cannot put this game down

I've been playing this app for over a year and a half now. Although a majority of my time is on the Steam version, I still have IdleOn for those long weekends where I still want to check in on daily claims. The game starts by benefitting idle play and character management, but as you unlock certain classes snd skills, active play becomes relevant again. I would only recommend playing this game on your phone as a complementary experience to playing via browser or Steam. Genuinely fair monetization where paying money feels more like donating to the developer than anything else.

Incredible game, just don’t start on IOS

The game itself is incredible, a little complex after a few hours of progress but other than that, super witty and very in depth, leagues above any other idle type game, but if you are going to start the game on your phone do NOT use “sign in with apple” if you do you will be unable to transfer your data out of IOS, there is (currently) no way to move account data or link an outside email to an account created using “sign in with apple” so if you lost your iCloud account your data is unrecoverable and if you would like to play the game on a different platform, maybe on PC through steam or on another phone that isn’t linked to your Apple ID you will be completely out of luck. It is an amazing game, but please don’t make the same mistake I did and be stuck only being able to play on one specific device for some reason.

(If the Developer sees this, please help, I really love your game and want to play it with more freedom)

AAA games should take notes

I am once again floored by the capability of an indie developer. I keep wanting to write an essay about how great it is, but I’ll try to keep this short. Pros -The multi-character system is compelling and surprisingly well balanced. -Maps are places you return to and have secrets to discover. -Bosses have defining features outside of health bars and art style. -Dungeons have their own stats and equipment so new players are equally welcome in raids. -The text and dialogue is entertaining while being suitable for a casual game. The humor is satyrical, self-aware, punny, and peppered with gamer jokes. -NPCs are memorable. -Purchasable upgrades are accessible through regular progress and feel like normal upgrades. -Quality of life features that I wish more developers used (some are earned through quests, but nothing has felt unreasonable) Cons -It’s easy to find a group for the first dungeon because it is incentivized, but the others feel like ghost towns. -While typical of the genre it is a little overburdened by mechanics. -Alchemy feels almost unnecessary. -The constellations were fun to find but would feel more worthwhile as a permanent bonus. -The pinballs could be a little more interactive. -The skill mini-games could use a practice mode so I can play them for kicks and not be limited to five times a day. -If I can only earn an achievement on steam, I don’t want to see it on IOS.

Most unique idle game you’ll ever play

This is easily the best idle game on the market. Smooth progression with actual quest lines, phenomenal music and graphics, lots of good humor and character dialogue, literal months of new content to do without getting stuck in a daily grind fest til you get the one item you need, and best of all is easily free to play. The developer is an awesome guy as well, always listens to the community, does streams on Twitch where he gives away in game items and currency, and is funny to boot. I’ve never played another idle game with as much content as this while constantly being updated for free, this was my favorite idle game prior to it being released on the Apple App Store, and now it’ll be even more so.

Pretty solid game 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not sure what some of the reviews are talking about. Essentially if you don't want to pay money there's a lot of opportunity to get ahold of items you may want. Game has way better mobile community than mapoostory (just an opinion), the creator is also pretty active and accessible. its pretty cool seeing him pop into the game randomly. There's not a lot of mobile games that have peaked my interest, and I'm not really open minded about sinking tons of hours into new ones. After committing a couple months I can tell there's a lot more love put into this game than a lot of others. It has been a pleasant experience overall and I have willingly put money into it. 👍🏻

Updating review: Still enjoying the game very much!

Back to update my review again since Lava’s major updates. Still enjoying the game very much! So many quality of life changes were added and it’s freshen up the game quite a bit. Keep up the great work, Lava! And regarding the recent follower addition, I understand part of the communities’ frustration and criticism. But taking a step back and looking at the big picture, this is mainly a single-player game with multiplayer features. I don’t think it’s wrong for some to progress faster through premium currency as it won’t affect anyone else. Just my 2 cents. Again, keep up the awesome work, Lava and trying to not let the negativity stop you from improving this app.

Constant Updates Keep This Game Fresh and Exciting!

Huge kudos to the developers for their dedication to keeping this game alive and thriving! The frequent updates not only bring new content but also improve gameplay, balance mechanics, and keep things interesting. It’s rare to see a game that actively listens to its player base and continues to evolve in meaningful ways.

Every update adds something fresh, making the game more engaging and fun to play. Whether it’s new features, QoL improvements, or just fixing bugs quickly, it’s clear that the devs truly care about the community.

If you’re looking for a game that doesn’t get stale and keeps you coming back for more, this is it! Amazing work, and I can’t wait to see what’s next! 🎉🔥👏

Haven’t been bored despite playing since April 2021

Played this game on Steam since April 2021, the month it was originally released and have been an active player for about 1.5 years, and have been loving the content.

I haven’t gotten bored of the gameplay and have always something to look forward to in the morning or at night. This is an Idle game so it is time based. It did start off slow in the beginning but trust me, you won’t regret it once you reach your triple digit damage. All the mini goals I’ve set for myself and completed have made this game that much more enjoyable.

A lot of games require a pay 2 win format otherwise the games are hardwalled from continuing in content. BUT NOT HERE, there’s no need to pay but you can! However you can gain gems relatively easily and be able to buy your own upgrades to improve your progress speed.

The community is really helpful if you want to share achievements or ask for help if something is confusing. The members are supportive and the developer often interacts with his players.

It’s an interactive game with, a involved community, improving gameplay, and so much to achieve with your characters

One of the funniest idle games I’ve played

I’ve been playing this game through Steam for maybe a year now and just love it. I love that there’s so many different ways to boost your characters’ stats: from the statues/stamps in worlds 1, alchemy and post office in world 2 etc. I’ve watched several streams that Lava has done on twitch, and you can tell that the guy genuinely cares about his work, but also the experience of the people that play.

The events game itself has a “pay-to-win” system, so to speak, but it is completely not needed by the average player. Gems, AFK Candies, and rare things like that can be gotten simply by playing the game and require almost no interaction with the store. Which in today’s environment is a breath of fresh air.

Overall there’s a ton to do in the game to keep you entertained, and a lot of satire that’ll have you laughing as you come across them.

Such a large amount of stuff to do!

The mobile version is exactly the same as the web browser and Steam versions (minus the Steam-exclusive achievements). You don’t have to start a new account! You can login to the email address you use and continue playing on the go!
I’ve been playing for about a month (Steam version) and there has been no shortage of things to do/improve/increase/level/etc. each world introduces new stuff that can help increase bonuses character and game-wide.
I tuned into LavaFlame2’s (the Dev) stream for this release, and it was quite enjoyable. Lots of little informational tidbits, a bunch of giveaways, and it was cool to see a little inside the mind that made this game.
Lava, if you somehow read this, I love the game you’ve made, so far, and hope you continue to make it even more awesome!

Best idle game

I've played a lot of idle games and this is by far one of my favorites because we can set up multiple characters. Just passed a year playing and there have been so many updates in the past year I never get bored! The game is free and admittedly I've bought every event pack in the game(and want more) but it's possible to get the important parts of what is purchaseable with enough hard work which is always a plus! Lava live streams a lot to give out stuff and is fun to watch plus he takes player feedback seriously which is definitely positive. Community on discord is involved enough that we managed to stay on r/place till the end(still remember Billjackpepper, hope to see him again soon) and is definitely worth it to interact with!

But I've already recommended it to everyone I know and have a couple others hooked so Id definitely recommend!

Amazing game on PC Amazing on IOS

I’ve been a whale in a hand full of idle games this one takes the cake cause you actually don’t have to spend a dime. Single dev making this game and actually listens to the community the community draw a map and the dev runs with it. It’s all voted on by the team if something needs work he works on it. He streams making the game for anyone that would like to learn how he is doing it and he gives out rewards and free gems for those free to play gamers out there looking for the edge. The discord is a great way to get information from your friendly this app community, also the wiki is well up to date. Can’t find a flaw whenever there is give it a week and he’s figured it out how to balance something or improve quality of life. Finally the game makes it to iOS so those hard core gamers on pc don’t always have to be at there pc to manage there team.

honestly

I’ve been waiting for this game to come out on ios for so long. i’ve been playing on my computer and my brothers phone. BUT finally i get to play on my phone. honestly i love this game when i was first introduced it was through an add honestly i was like “this game looks cool.” so i downloaded it and it lived up to its expectations except it wasn’t on ios. but overall the game is super fun, addictive, and creative. I mean everything in the game is creative the dev really did work hard i can tell. I hope one day this game becomes really big that i can look back and say, “i was an og, what if i check up on my account right now, it would probably be like 100,000 hours!” idk LOL. But this game is so cool, I literally play it during my classes haha. That’s all i have to say about this amazing game, it’s awesome but i know the dev is gonna keep improving the game making it even better.

The BEST Idle Indie MMO Phone Game

Stumbled upon this game about two or three months ago and I haven’t put it down since. I tend to play phone games to pass time at school and had been jumping from game to game; playing a few weeks then dropping the game because of a lack of love from the devs (and slightly because I have the attention span of a goldfish). That was, until I found this game, I’ve put countless hours into it and enjoyed every moment of it. From the artwork and animations, to the goofy quests, and the treasure hunts, there’s no way you’ll run out of things to do in this game. If you’re familiar with Steam, where this game originated, and you know of the awards they give out every year; this game hands down is most deserving of the Labor of Love award. Thank you Lava for your hard work, and continuing to provide as much effort as you have to pump out updates that ALWAYS add some sort of new feature whether it be quality of life or a completely new feature. 🖤

This is a must for F2P players

First of all. I only knew about this game because of a youtuber RealCivilEngineer. Thanks RCE. Secondly. This game doesn’t make you feel pressured into paying money to stay competitive. However… would be nice if the developer would add the option to watch an ad for time candy. Let’s say one ad is worth a 4 hour time candy. That way the developer gets some more income from the game. And hey. We will get 4 hours worth of loot in exchange for watching an ad…. I wouldn’t even be able to complain about the ads at that point since it would be worth watching em. Don’t think anyone would complain about ads if they were getting a boost like that from them. Thirdly. Because you have multiple characters on here. There is always something to do… at least most of the time….😅 As you get up in the levels it takes longer to gain EXP. So there will be points in the game where you are stuck waiting. Maybe the Dev should add something to help pass the time?

The best idle game I’ve ever played.

I usually HATE idle games. The hells the point of a game if you’re not meant to actually play it?? But I’ve been playing this app for over a year and it is fantastic. There’s a ton to do actively, but making progress while you’re offline just feels good with this game. I’ve played for several hours at one time and I’ve spent 5 minutes on it. No matter when I get on and what I do when I play, there’s always something to do so you’re not just sitting there waiting for whatever resources you’re trying to farm.
Another great thing is the premium currency, I’ve bought a couple packs to support LAVA but I’ve gotten almost as many gems just playing the game that I got from paying for them. I’d say the dev is super fair with his distribution of gems in the game and as such it really doesn’t have a super pay to win feel. There’s pay for convenience, but the only pay to win he has is time skip candy and you can only get so many in a day so even there your progress is slowed so you can’t just buy a ton of time on day one and rocket to end game.
All in all, a very enjoyable game. Oh, and thanks for bringing it to ios LAVA, Its been great being able to play it on the go.

IdleOn is mobile for me, finally!

I have played this app for the better part of the past 1.5 years on Steam, and I was eagerly awaiting the iOS release! Now I can play one of my favorite games on the go. Thank you so much for all the work that inevitably went into making this version possible. The only issue I’ve had with IdleOn is a technical one: the game is forced to be played in a certain orientation on the phone, but the phone does not recognize that it is in that orientation, making the buttons and presses slightly off (I have to press higher than usual to make things activate). For what seemed like a silly game at first to me to become so fun and involved, I just want to say thanks a bunch Lava!
