This app is terrible,

by HonestReviewsOnly100

Grammatical errors and residents don’t appreciate properties going to this which then adds additional increase of processing fees when paying rent. This is ridiculous. The app doesn’t appear to have been tested in dev environment prior to going into production. When attempting to pay through resident portal in the browser and selecting “payments & rewards” nothing opens, yet we have to download this poorly created app in order to pay rent. I would’ve gave 0 stars, but it’s not an option. This app is not building trust, but rather doing the complete opposite for residents/tenants that are being forced to use this. All property management that have onboarded this app for rent payments clearly didn’t test this out themselves before making residents use this and it shows. Poor decision making.

Another predatory change from Greystar

The moment that you click the payment access you are brought to a page essentially begging you to sign up for a “new Mastercard” just to make payments. The only way to add payment methods is to access your account details, you can NOT use Stripe to connect as the developers didn’t account for basic workflow (Software dev myself so..) consistent crashes on new hardware, and all the lack of security which comes with most apps. Likewise the forced switch requires you to pickup this new credit card to earn rewards which can “lower your rent”, but in no world is there ever a good reason to use a CC for rent. The entire process is a huge grey (not pun intended) legal area which seems to be normal for Greystar.

Why would I pay my rent through a third party to get “rewards”

2024-11-04

by IfIReviewItMeansitsBad

As the titles states. I would just like to pay my rent. Not give my Information to multiple third parties that don’t matter. I don’t care about rewards or “amenities” that the Property gets discount codes from. I don’t mind a convenient way to access Maintenance Requests or Resident Bulletins. But that defeats the purpose if I can’t even see what my monthly dues will be or when I last paid my cycle. UI is basically just a Glorified Web Browser. It’s a decent idea that’s questionably executed by forcing residents to download and install this app.

EDIT; THEY ARE NOW MAKING PAYMENT THROUGH A THIRD PARTY THAT CANT EVEN PROPERLY LINK YOUR ACCOUNT FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENT. STOP USING A WEB BROSWER DISGUISED AS AN APP. THIS IS INFURIATING

Have a Problem with Resident Experience? Report Issue

Why should I report an Issue with Resident Experience?

  1. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of Resident Experience to your problem using the strength of crowds. We have over 1,000,000 users and companies will listen to us.
  2. We have developed a system that will try to get in touch with a company once an issue is reported and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen.
  3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.
  4. If you are a Resident Experience customer and are running into a problem, Justuseapp might not be the fastest and most effective way for you to solve the problem but at least you can warn others off using Resident Experience.
