They just want your money - autorenewal with no reminders or way to easily see

I signed up for UpliftYou when it first came out because I was a fan of Leana but didn't really feel it was worth my money so I haven't used it the past few months. Then the charge comes out of my card that they renewed me for another year - I don't see on UpliftYou store that I was signed up for auto-renewal, on UpliftYou you can't see your subscription info, and the kicker is that they don't send ANY reminders of your subscription or that a renewal is coming up. I reached out to support and was told: "well, we tell you it's auto-renewing in our terms and conditions when you sign up. Not through UpliftYou store and you can't see it on UpliftYou but you can look it up on our website and we don't send reminders but it's in our terms and conditions."
What company does this? It feels very scummy and like they just want your money. Honestly, I would have expected better out of Leana - I'm very disappointed in UpliftYou and her now.

No new workouts

I feel really disappointed about UpliftYou and the content that Leana uploaded. I want to say she only uploaded a at home work out beginner and advanced and for at gym work out, and then she added the Ramadan, for a whole year. I was expecting to see new content every week or so. Don’t get me wrong the workouts that were there were good but I would have wished she had added more than 5 or 6 workouts for the whole year. I feel like this was a waste a money. She had also said she was going to upload meals and how to cook them but it was always the same meals never added a new one and if she did was probably like 3 more. I was so exited for UpliftYou when it first came out but I won’t be purchasing it again, because I’m afraid she won’t post more work outs and more frequently. I wish that the ones who purchased the anual subscription when UpliftYou first came out had another 2 months at least free to see how is UpliftYou really functioning, if there has been improvement.

Immediate regret

You won’t be able to explore UpliftYou before paying to subscribe for it. So I chose the $9.99 subscription, got into UpliftYou and immediately regretted it. There really isn’t much to UpliftYou, not enough variety to the workouts. Also the library only has videos for abs, glutes, and warm ups. There’s no library for back, biceps, chest, etc. Not worth the subscription and there are better apps out there for the same price or less.

App needs work!

Love Leana, Love UpliftYou , but definitely needs work. Progressive Overload is extremely important in order to obtain results. The fact that I can track my reps/weight during my workouts, but not being able to record/go back to the data, it’s very disappointing. How are we supposed to track our progress? :( I have faith that this will be fixed soon. I really like how convenient the workouts are.

Lacking

UpliftYou is seriously lacking in options. I love her and her fitness approach but UpliftYou should’ve come out a beta for a test run. There’s not much variety in the work outs and the recipe section is buggy. I suggest integrating more programs, more recipes, adding all macros to recipes, fixing the recipe section for all bugs, and adding a scheduling system just for it to feel a bit more complete

App needs improvement

Love the workouts & recipes. First point of feedback is more technical..switching between sections can take a while to load. UpliftYou feels pretty choppy and could be smoother.
Next, it would be great if they could fix tracking our workout. For example, when we track our progress there should an option to view our previous logs so that as we progress we can see what we did the last workout. Since I can’t see those things imo it’s pretty pointless and I should just keep tracking on my notes app.
Also, it’d be great if when switching out a workout we had some more variety (it’s a lot of the same exercise but changes from dumbbell to barbell etc) or even an option to write a workout in if for some reason we can’t do the exercise in the program. Then lastly for the food portion yes there’s calories, but please please please provide macros/nutrition 😭 for someone trying to track protein it’d be super helpful.
I love Leana and her content & was so so excited to join the challenge/support her app. Although, honestly the gym rat part of me was a lil disappointed with it lacking these things. These changes would easily change my rating to 5 stars and make the membership feel like it’s worth the price.

It’s okay

Love leanna and the workouts.
I think it’s fair to say UpliftYou needs some work.
I do not like how you can’t see your progress after it’s tracked. I’m not sure what the pointing of tracking is if you can’t go back to reference.
You cannot pause the video without pausing the stop watch. The video should be an option.
It would be nice to view the workouts in a list instead of having to go through by tapping. Once you’ve started working out and you complete the workout, you can’t go back and forth without having to re enter your data.
On supersets you aren’t able to click A or B you just have to finish A first then B will pop up. I think this goes along with having it listed out. I like to look ahead to prepare myself.
The clock out picture is a great idea however not sure where it goes when you’re done. Again it would be nice to be able to view all progress on your profile.
If you’re wanting to get more info on how to do a specific exercise, she does have a question mark you can click on but it’s not very detailed. There are some workouts I couldn’t do based on what is available at the gym. I am advanced so I made do however for some maybe listing an alternative would be helpful.

App is great but could use some work

I loved UpliftYou at first because I was making my way back to the gym and didn’t know where to start. As I started using it, I realized it was slightly confusing and not as beginner friendly. One issue I faced was when I’d accidentally close the work out it wouldn’t automatically save my progress, I would have to manually re-enter every set and weights I used (which I probably didn’t remember)—it was getting frustrating. I would just submit whatever was already there, which was not what I actually did. Another thing that was frustrating about it was the fact that I could not see my lifting progress. During the 8 weeks I would have liked to see my progression of weights, but sadly I couldn’t, which resulted with me tracking it manually in my notes. Other than that, I was able to learn new work outs. I wish it could specially tell me what muscle I was working instead of it being generalized.

“Track Reps” but it doesn’t

Everything is great about UpliftYou . Very easy to follow. When you start your workout there is a button to click that says “track reps.” If it tracks reps then you should be able to view your weight that was used previously to make sure you’re doing progressive overload. But there is no where it actually tracks. Not even sure why the button is there at all then. What is the point of the button?

Needs improvement & more workouts/ recipes

UpliftYou hasn’t had anything new added in a really long time(workouts or recipes). UpliftYou also doesn’t help you as the user understand how to properly do a calorie deficit or let you know on whether or not your eating the right types of meals. For example you can add all sorts of recipes into your meal list and it will only tell you how many calories, carbs, fat & protein did you consume in a day. I feel like UpliftYou should be a bit more personalized with the user in order for them to see more results and to understand what they can eat. When working out UpliftYou glitches and freezes to the point where you need to close UpliftYou but when you reopen UpliftYou all the reps & sets that you have inputted before UpliftYou freezing has been erased.

Needs Improvement but well constructed programs.

By far since getting the membership when it first launched it has been a overall pleasant workout app. Love that you can modify workouts to your preference to what you can work with to basically fitting it in the week on whatever days you want. Keeps track of the days you’ve done weekly plans. I can’t express how much I’m satisfied with UpliftYou you get with a program stick with it you’ll make it work. Just a very important and I believe it’s very important that we could have a section where we track weight by week on where we left off maxed out weight. To keep track of that to try and surpass that if hypertrophy is the goal that’s the one and only part I’m missing on UpliftYou just a general area where we can keep notes about the weight, how our form was, to how we felt during the workout. Just a tip if, if ever hopefully they add a feature in it to keep track of weights and notes that would be awesome. That’s my only issue but if you’re looking for an app that has good well thought out constructed programs this one is it!!

Learned so much!

I love that you can record your sets and that there’s an option to opt out on that too. I know some of the workouts, so it was not hard to follow. I learned so many new ones as well! I also like that there’s an option to switch out of a specific workout, but wish there were more options when it came to finding an alternative workout, it is a litttle limited. It would also be helpful to have some tips on there regarding weights and choosing the right amount of lbs, especially for beginners. I love the recipes too, but also wish there were more options/ideas for protein intake. I’m regards to it being user friendly: It’s easy to follow, click through etc, I would recommend having the option of seeing the list of workouts and not needing to click through each one to see all of them (but isn’t a must). It tends to glitch when I’m at the gym and kick me out sometimes, but could be the wifi too not sure.

makes working out so much more attainable

i have an insane schedule and sticking to a routine was always hard for me bc it took me forever to build a workout. i felt like i didn’t know where to start. UpliftYou makes this so easy — i know i can open it and the routine is right there for me. best part is IT WORKS. i saw improvements in my health (less shortness of breath, strength, increased stamina) as i stayed consistent. i felt more disciplined bc i knew everything was already laid out for me on UpliftYou . for folks working in medicine with crazy schedules, UpliftYou truly made my life easier for my wellness. i’m hooked. the only thing i would say that’s a con is: -i can modify a workout in the set prior to starting it but not during. sometimes i realize i really can’t do one of the movements i thought i could in the beginning, but it’s already too late once i started bc you can’t modify it once you begin -i can’t remove workouts in the set once i’ve started it that day. so if you run out of time, you just have to put 0 reps in instead of removing it from your set entirely honestly, UpliftYou changed the game for me. so grateful to leana and the team for putting this together.

Love the app but could you use some work

Overall UpliftYou is amazing! I love the workouts and how much they challenge me. However I have noticed that UpliftYou kicks me out erases all my progress. It’s really annoying that I have to enter all my reps again because sometimes I don’t remember what they were. Also for timed workouts I wish UpliftYou gave me a few seconds to set up the before starting the clock. I would also like the option to go back at look at my reps. Other then that UpliftYou is great and I highly recommend

Love this app! - minor suggestions

I think UpliftYou is fantastic! I have been following Leana and her workouts on TikTok/ Instagram for quite some time now and was so excited when I saw she had an app! I love UpliftYou and use it almost every day! That being said I do have a few suggestions:
- right now there’s only the option for guides and glutes or abs workouts. It would be nice if arm, back, full body, and maybe some HIIT sections were added!
- I would like to see some alternate workout provided. For example: I’m currently doing the beginner 1.0 workout, but some workouts I can’t do, like the band assisted pull-ups, so it would be nice to see an easier alternative for those of us who are still building up our strength.

Everything you’d ever need in one app

I love that it literally has all the functions you would need to get started at the gym. It’s great for beginners all the way to more experienced gym people. I also love the details such as timing the breaks between workouts for you, recording your rep weights , and including cooking recipes!! It has everything you’d ever want and need to have a continuous and successful workout. It’s also really user friendly and has the perfect amount of functions before becoming too overwhelming to manage and track. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because when trying to record meals, there seemed to be a glitch and wouldn’t let me track my nutrition. Other than that it’s a great app!

Love this app!

I really love UpliftYou! I have been following Leana’s workouts on instagram for about a year now and UpliftYou was perfect for me since it has an actual 8-week plan. There are a few things I think UpliftYou can improve. As far as tracking your reps and weights I wish we were able to go back and see what our weights and reps were the week before or just be able to look back at it. I also have noticed a glitch on some of the days once I finish it will kick me out of UpliftYou and I have to go back and click through and put back in all the information for it to give me a check for that day. Another thing I wish there was like a form library for all of her workouts that show you the correct form to get into these workouts. Other than that UpliftYou is great and I love it!

Great App- lots of potential!

For starters, Leana has been such an inspiration to me forEVER! Was so stoked when she released her app— as I’d been following her online workouts for years. I started on the intermediate/advanced version challenge on UpliftYou . Great variety of exercises involving both weight lifting, gym equipment, and body weight exercises. But, one of things I’d like to see some changes in are in the “tracking” and “history” options. While you can track reps on UpliftYou , I’d love to be able to track my weight to see how I’ve progressed in strength. Also in the workout library, I noticed there are only glute and ab workouts. I would love to see upper body movements and full body movements added. Overall— UpliftYou LOOKS amazing and the user interface is really user friendly. Would just love to see some simple additions to make it a one stop shop. <3333

Such an amazing app with even more potential!

I went to preface this review by saying UpliftYou has completely changed my relationship with the Gym. I’m not nervous to go anymore, my workouts are so successful, and I see differences physically and mentally. the structure of UpliftYou makes it so easy to go into the gym as a beginner and learn.

The few critiques I do have are all very small, and don’t impact my success overall at the gym. there are a few times where I accidentally close out UpliftYou as a whole and lose my timed progress on the out that I’m on. I would love to see a pause workout, continue workout, and complete workout option. this way we would not have to re-open UpliftYou and start the timer and workout over again and buzz through to where we were at in the workout.

Also, I love the food tracker. It is very helpful to see my portions, what I’m eating, and what foods I can eat to get my daily protein intake. My only critique for this is that I would love to see individual ingredient items. An option for two hard boiled eggs, avocado alone, a single grilled chicken breast, etc. It would make it a lot easier to be as accurate as possible on the food tracking portion.

I love this all and Leana and what she stands for, and truthfully will continue to use UpliftYou for as long as i can.

Great Workout App!

Love UpliftYou ! Im a newbie to the gym and exercising that isn’t just cardio tbh. So I love that I have these videos and meals to refer to and help me. I do believe as time goes on and Leana gets more feedback it’ll only continue to get better and I look forward to all improvements! For me I do wish that you could look at the workouts in a list form as well to look ahead and see what I’m going to need equipment wise, also I would love to see an inclusion of videos that show how to have proper form since I want to make sure I’m doing the workouts correctly so I don’t harm myself or end up not working the proper muscle. In addition I’d love to see kind of like a log or journal where you can reference your previous workout completed pictures/data in order so you can see the difference you’ve achieved. Great job Leana! Proud of your achievements & look forward to what’s to come! ❤️

Amazing and almost perfect!!!

I absolutely love love LOVE UpliftYou. It allows me to go into the gym with a plan, and not feel lost about “what to do”. The food section of UpliftYou is the cherry on top that i want to and should take more advantage of. The only reason this is a 4 out of 5 stars is due to 2 reasons: 1) if you accidentally click out of your active workout you have to start it over and 2) i wish the workouts library ranged more.

The workout timer resets, the workouts rep/KG tracker resets - everything resets. So, if I've been at the gym for an hour already and i accidentally click out of my active workout, i have to click “start the workout” to get back to where i was and it starts everything from scratch. This has happened to me a couple times. My own fault for clicking out, but would be super happy if the tracker saved everything and I didn’t have to start fresh.

As for the workouts library, i think it’s super nice especially when i go into the gym more then my workout schedule in UpliftYou tells me to. Although, it would be so dope if there was more then just ab workouts, glute workouts and dynamic workouts. Those are the only 3 categories that show on my app to choose from, which is totally ok!! Just a sprinkle of more variety would be cool.

Aside from those two things I absolutely love UpliftYou, and loooooove how you can customize your daily workouts before starting them!!! Such a great tool, and definitely going to keep using it.

Guides are not opening for me

I was enjoying UpliftYou for about a week, but now anytime I try to open my guide, it glitches and closes me out of UpliftYou . It is also unhelpful that there is no support option in UpliftYou so you will have to resort to writing a review if you encounter any flaws. The workouts were going great, my major complaints are just about UpliftYou itself. I’m still waiting on support to fix the glitch.

Amazing app!

UpliftYou is great and easy to use! I would like to be able to move the exercises around because, sometimes, I can’t perform the supersets as a superset because I need to move from one end of the gym to the other to do the exercises included in the superset. So I would like to be able to come back to an exercise and track my reps/weight when I get the chance to perform them. I get it takes away the fun of the supersets but it’s just not always feasible for a crowded gym where I will lose the machine if I leave for a minute.

Wonderful app but could use some fixes

I downloaded UpliftYou because I felt very disorganized in the gym and was looking for a new routine. The workouts are very good, and I feel extremely sore after I finish, however, UpliftYou itself has some bugs that could use refinement. To start I do like how you can input how much weight you’re using on each workout however, that same weight tends to carry to the next work out and you have to delete it and add your new weight. Also, I wish you were able to move the exercises around in a different order because sometimes in a public gym you are not able to do it in the order it says, and that leaves you stuck waiting for a machine or just skip the exercise so you can get to the next one. One other thing I wish I could be different is that you were able to change the exercise after you start the workout. This can be helpful because sometimes machines can be taken up and you want an alternative exercise. Overall UpliftYou is really good though and Leana’s workouts are amazing and I would highly recommend!

I wish the content could be downloaded

This is a great app, I love all the workouts Ive tried so far. My issue is that the guides are not downloadable and I have no signal in my gum and their wi-fi is trash.

I personally loved how simple UpliftYou is to use.
It has great workouts to follow, nutrition and playlists!

The one thing I love but is not working to the fullest is the fact that you can track your reps and weights but it disappears as soon as the exercise is done. Therefore you can’t go back to see the weights you used or the reps, it just gets harder to track your progress.

It would be wonderful if that feature was adjusted.

I also love the selfie at the end of the workout, it’s a nice accountability feature, but again, not sure where it went after it was taken 😭

As I mentioned, love it so far but it does need some improvement and I hope it gets fixed soon.

I love it!

UpliftYou is amazing! The workouts and meal preps are awesome. I love how you can choose workouts and how it’s tracked. My only issue is that I wish there were options for people that didn’t want to get a subscription. I recommended UpliftYou to a lot of people are tight on money and can’t afford it. But, with that said, I love what you’ve done with UpliftYou Leana and I can’t wait to see updates!

Excited

Love UpliftYou so far but I agree with another reviewer that weights used need to be kept track of and automatically pulled up when doing the same workout! and it would be nice to have a place where all our pictures are. Also I don’t know if it’s just my app but my workout library only has abs and glutes loaded so far!

Getting back into Fitness!

Love UpliftYou! It has made the transition to working out much easier. I love that there is a warm up but I think if there was cool down options that would be greatly appreciated as I know the importance of stretching. As well as possible alternative exercises if your gym doesn’t offer specific equipment / or an injury that prevents you from doing an exercise.

Mostly good

Love all the workouts. I just don’t understand a point in tracking reps if we can’t go back and see them. I’d like to be able to see my progress and know what to move my weights up to. I also noticed one of the an workouts said 15 reps of planks but didn’t specify how long to hold them.

I really love this app

Just in two weeks i noticed a difference! I love the different options offered. Sometimes UpliftYou will force close in the middle of a workout and i have to go back and start over. other than that i love love love it

LOVING IT

I just want to say how proud I am of Leana coming out with UpliftYou. I used to workout years ago in high school but never had any workouts set like this so it really helps me. I am seeing a difference in my body going in on the 3rd week. I saw some reviews that UpliftYou could be better and I agree BUT I follow her on ig and I already know she’s the type of person to not get satisfied until everything is perfect and there is also more stuffs coming today so I’m excited !! Love you leana thanks for making my fitness journey easier.

BEST OF THE BEST!

Leana really took her time to create the best fitness app on the market. UpliftYou is beginner friendly, easy to navigate through, and has lots of workout guides ranging from 4 to 16 weeks. In her Pain & Sweat Challenge earlier this year, she challenged her users to complete a vigorous 4 week workout training guide to encourage consistency and creating discipline inside & outside of the gym. She also joined in in completing the challenge!
Leana has also created beginner and advanced workout guides designed to push your body to its absolute limit! If you have a busy work/life schedule, she has also created challenging at home workout routines to keep you in shape!
She genuinely takes suggestions into consideration when improving her app.

LOVE THIS APP

I really love UpliftYou, it has so many options of food recipes as well as how to make them which is very helpful especially when you want something super quick and easy. It comes with a variety of different workouts including different challenges and the different times you can workout for. I love this option because it goes off of your preferences and what your gym goals are. The main challenge I have is clicking through the different workouts because i’m unsure of what the workouts are, I feel like it would be so much easier if the option of exercise you choose came with a list of the different workouts it comes with just to save some time. overall, I love UpliftYou so much and look up to Leana, she’s a big inspiration to me and I couldn’t have found my motivation and self-love if it wasn’t for her.

The perfect app for a busy schedule

I been using UpliftYou since it came out! And I already see improvements everytime it updates. I personally don’t use the food part of this only the workout.

I wish there is an easier way to see the weights I used the workout before instead of going into history. And I wish I can customize the rest 2 min for me sometimes is too much when I’m trying to workout in 30 mins. I can’t wait for you to add more programs.

I had an issue with UpliftYou and the developer team was super responsive and fixed the bug that made me know they really are trying their best to help us make a better version of ourselves!

Love this app!

Absolutely love UpliftYou! I first discovered it through Leana's TikTok, and I couldn't resist giving it a try. My initial expectations were modest, I was pleasantly surprised! What I really love about UpliftYou is its fantastic feature that provides workout plans, especially for beginners at the gym. It's incredibly helpful because it tailors the plans based on how often you're planning to hit the gym. Perfect for those just starting their fitness journey! It's a game-changer, especially on those days when I'm not sure what to do at the gym or if I should switch things up. I’ve also been following the meal plans, which helps a lot with meal prepping, most of them have become my go to’s!

Although I do my fair share of online research, UpliftYou has become my go-to when I just want to follow a straightforward plan without overthinking it. It has truly enhanced my gym experience, and I'm thrilled with the results. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

App Review

LEANA I love you!!! I’ve been following you for as long as I can remember and you were my motivation to get back in the gym! Cliche but TRUE
Your app is amazing and I love the quality of it, I’ve been reading through and noticed some opinions were pretty similar to mine as far as counting macros and protein, btw chicken chipotle is bussin MY GO TO. 🖤
It would also be awesome if we could swipe back and forth through workouts during the workout as sometimes I’m not able to use certain equipment at the time necessary, and I don’t want to lose my reps and time. ALTHOUGH I really like that you have supersets included so I wonder how that would process. I hope this helps 🖤

Definitely recommend!!!

I’ve used UpliftYou since it first launched and I have to say as I continue to use it it has become a well thought out app for beginners and advanced people to use! I love how customizable it is when setting up the workouts for the program you use! I’m not always comfortable with using the default exercises for each week but I have the choice of picking out what I can do! Leana has taken the feedback we provided and improved UpliftYou as it goes! So proud of her and all her success!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

HABIT TRACKER IS ABSOLUTE GOLD!!! 😍

LEANA!!! I have been tracking my habits in my notes for years and you have created something I can now incorporate into my daily life in a way that's far less overwhelming and scattered. I am an absolute perfectionist and I am so satisfied with the layout it is just perfect. I also love that you limit the habits to 10 because it makes it so realistic & practical.

Habit tracking takes so much mental stress off us as humans. It can be discouraging only basing our progress off of memory with how busy and overwhelming life can be. UpliftYou is going to completely simplify my daily goals and allow me to literally create the vision I have for myself and what God has called me towards. Down to a T!!!!!! Everything is in one place. I don't care if I'm being dramatic!!!! I'm so in love idc! I have a feeling I will represent and recommend UpliftYou for life. You deserve all the blessings to come.

Loving it!

So far I’m in love with workouts, the meals, and UpliftYou .
It’s clear UpliftYou is new and going through a development stage. That being said where it’s at right now it is easy to follow, provides me with an excellent workout, the meals have been insanely helpful, and the price for what you get is a steal.
As time goes on I’m looking forward to watching UpliftYou grow and improve.

gr8 app so far

Been recently using UpliftYou and I have to say, I enjoy it! UpliftYou is easy and not a heavy load, which is what I like. The recipes, the different exercises, and how organized UpliftYou is makes using it enjoyable. My only thing is that at times, it does glitch, but that can also be caused bc of low data storage or not upgrading my phone. Also, it doesn’t save my work at times. I would to keep it in UpliftYou , but I have been keeping track of my work by writing it down, so it’s not really a big issue. If there are any improvements I would suggest, I think it will be to have the ability to be apart of groups with other users. At times, I need help and perhaps those on UpliftYou may help me with my concerns or questions. After all, we are a whole “family” :). Other suggestions I would like to be considered is adding more programs, perhaps adding exercises with different options, and more variety of food options for those who have a specific diet. Maybe this is where users can hope in and post some suggestions?
