Won’t connect to wifi on apple will only work with android

It has been one of the most frustrating experiences in a long time trying to use Sainlogic. Quite simply, it does not work. It will not connect to my 2.4 network no matter what I try. Not worth the time and effort.

I am not okay with putting in all of my credit card info just to set up an account on Sainlogic. What other choices do I have? This Stellar page you sign in on is a scam to charge your credit card. What other app can I use ?

Sainlogic makes no sense. It’s synced to my weather station but has no refresh feature. As far as I can tell, the only way to refresh is to clear Sainlogic and restart. Just a poorly/strangely developed app. Am I missing something?

Sainlogic will not connect to my WiFi network no matter what is do. 2.4GHZ only, cell data off, everything is up to date. It’s a pain and the forums are full of the same problem.

Read the February reviews, someone breaks down the instructions perfectly. 2 days of trying on an iPhone…took me less than a minute on my laptop.

Sainlogic is unworkable. During the set up it tells me that the password for my WiFi is wrong, but I can hook anything else to my router using the same password. There is No support for this either!

Worst product I have ever purchased. Deceptive app has adds that look like you are registering your device. It ends up being a workout app. It says it won’t charge you but it does. Then the weather station product doesn’t work well either. Returning it all. Waste of time horrible product

After 20+ hours and countless rereading poorly-written instructions and outdated videos, we are not able to connect the this app weather stations to any Wi-Fi whatsoever. Appears to be no support or intelligent thought regarding the this app devices or Apps

Terrible. Been trying to connect to WiFi for 2 hours. Shows Sainlogic is connected to the console, but it isn’t. Blows my mind

Will not connect to my Wi-Fi. Same problem everyone else is having. I should have read the ap reviews before getting the weather station, because the weather station won’t work without the ap. Sending it back.

It’s nice being able to pull the data off of my weather station, but it really needs the option to automatically refresh the current station instead of having to manually refresh all the time.

Like others have said, cannot connect via Sainlogic . There are detailed instructions below on how to connect, I’ll add that I used the chrome app on my iphone with an incognito tab rather than a laptop. I put the user’s name and the date of the review as my title to lead others to it. App is quite primitive but the weather station seems fairly solid so we’ll see how it goes

After reading the other comments I was worried but the station did successfully connect to our WiFi even though Sainlogic never confirmed it. Data started showing up at wonderground soon after.

Now working on mounting the sensor unit…

Sainlogic isn’t terrible. My main problem with it is when you open it, you have to wait like 30-60 seconds for the data to refresh/update. It’s quicker to just kill Sainlogic , reload it, then it pulls in the newest data immediately. PLEASE add a REFRESH button that pulls the latest data, or allow the screen to be pulled down to refresh the data (like almost all other apps on earth)

Do not, under any circumstances, try to set up your this app device for Wunderground wifi usage using Sainlogic. It will never connect. Instead, do the following.
1. Set up an account on Wunderground as the instruction manual says and add a new device once your account is created. Be sure to write down the station ID and station key that is generated by Wunderground for your device.
2. Open up your browser and key in 192.168.5.1 and hit enter. This will pull up your this app device’s programming window.
3. Select your wifi network and key in the password for it if you have one.
4. Key in the aforementioned station ID and station key you got from Wunderground and hit “Save.”
5. Your station should now be connected. Check your Wunderground account to make sure it shows your station as being online and transmitting data.
I’m deducting two stars from this review because Sainlogic is useless in setting up the connection above. But it works in displaying all data from the station AFTER you’ve set it all up.

1) Make sure your console is plugged in and the wifi symbol is blinking

2) Make a wunderground account online.

3) After making an account go to your profile and push ‘my devices’

4) Push add new device

5) When it wants you to select a device hardware select ‘other’ and then push next

6) Enter your address and then push next

7) Enter a name for your weather station, but don’t change the elevation or hardware. Then answer the ones about where you put your Weather Station (height above ground and what surface it is on). Then push ‘I accept’ and then move on to the next page.

8) On this page it will show you your Station ID and Station Key, YOU WILL NEED TO REMEMBER THIS.

9) Now make sure you are on a laptop. On that laptop connect to your console’s wifi. (it should be called this app with numbers after it)

10) Open up an ICONGITO browser on the laptop. And search http://192.168.5.1.

11) That will bring you to your FINAL STEP. Now you should fill out information about your wifi at your house (network’s name and password). And then, you need to enter the ID and KEY from from before. ***YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FILL OUT THE LAST THING ON THERE ABOUT THE OTHER WEBSITE WEATHERCLOUD

12) Push save and it should all connect. And on your console you should see the correct time and date. Now instead of using Sainlogic this app to track the your data. You need to use wundeground.

A previous reviewer wrote out step by step instructions and follow those exactly. Don’t read any manual or anything else about connecting to wifi and Wunderground. Just read that review and it worked perfectly the first time for me.
Been up and running for 2 months without issue and I have a mesh wifi platform at home, so I know this will work with those.

This application isn’t the most sophisticated I’ve seen by a long shot. But it does do what it’s supposed to IF you follow the instructions. You will need to set up a WU account in order to get the required device id. It’s not going to work without it. There are a lot of steps which makes setup a pain, but now that it’s done I like the station. Much better than my old one!

I spent about an hour and a half trying to get the this app weather station to connect to WiFi. To make things easier, do create a account with wunderground. After an account is created, then add your device to get a station ID and Key. Do copy the credentials.
One time I did get a WiFi connection with my iPhone but no internet connection. I tried everything and Sainlogic instructions get confusing. I tried maybe five times. iPhone 11, iOS 16.1.2. Sainlogic may not be up to date with recent iOS updates that may prevented WiFi connection.

Reading the three setup guides and manuals, it finally worked when using my laptop to connect the console to the WiFi On the laptop, connect to the weather station on the WiFi list, type in http://192.165.5.1. Then fill in the information. Once entered the weather station connected. On Sainlogic need to add the device using the device credentials info from wunderground, all things worked.

Seriously, forget the this app app to setup your device. A reviewer on February 28 gives great instructions, but basically, connect to your devices WiFi with your phone and then go to 192.168.5.1. It will pull up the same menu and actually work, then you can see all the info on Wunderground instead of Sainlogic.
