You can’t leave a review without a star, so I wrote it in. Updated won’t open, even going into settings to try and “force” it open. When it did work, penalized for speeding when it higher speed zones. Sudden braking. Sharp turning (?) so, zero stars.

I have not been able to use Routely for a couple of weeks now. Routely itself won’t open to show any data.

Routely is supposed to record your habits while driving. It’s horrible. Shows I used my phone when I receive a text or message even though I don’t touch it. If you’re a passenger on a trip and it rates your score before you can edit the trip you’re stuck with that score. We rode in a side by side vehicle with someone else and it recorded several events I couldn’t edit. It records those “events” and effects your score the insurance company uses to “rate” your driving habits. It’s completely inaccurate. Horrible way to “rate” a driver.

There have been a handful of times that Routely will track the exact same trip twice. This has happened when I was a passenger and was on my phone during the trip. When I go to Routely to change the trip from driver to passenger it will only let me change it on one of the trips. The other is stuck on driver and that causes my streak to go back to zero and my score to drop. This is very aggregating and needs to be fixed ASAP!

I’ve been trying to keep track of my trips but I haven’t been able to open Routely for weeks now. It also doesn’t seem to be fair to be penalized for “speeding” when there are roads in Texas with speed limits of 85mph - should be adjusted per the state that is being travelled in maybe. Also have to spend a ton of time going through trips adjusting whether I was a passenger or not. App definitely needs a lot of work, only using it for my insurance.

The (this app) app seems in need of an update. Apple just updated iPhone to iOS 17.1.2 and now Routely isn’t working. (Please Update App)

Since the latest IOS update Routely has stopped working.
Only using for insurance discounts.

Ridiculous; sounds good to drive safe but doing 55mph while other fly by at 65 is not safe for anyone. I guess the insurance company’s need to get sue’d when people get rear ended while using Routely to make you look like a safe driver to them. Don’t sell your data, you’ll never get the big discount they promise.

Frustrated driver! My score has dropped because using my phone for maps, etc.
I can’t edit my drives either.

It seems to make sense until you find your rating dip over driving at night and phone use on your own land. There’s no roads or laws on my farm, so I get frustrated when I’m taking a hit on points for driving late or using my phone as I’m rolling the mile of dirt roads and picking music, loading the maps or answering texts. This should only apply to public roads and highways. Can’t even go 3mph and unlock my phone on my land without point deductions.

This morning I was driving with low power mode and Routely made my phone get hot and drained my battery. I think there is a bug that needs fixing.

App has quit tracking all trips

I didn’t have much problems with it before the update, but now I can’t even open Routely after I updated it.

The only reason I’m giving this three stars is because it’s getting me ten percent off my auto insurance. Depending on my score, it could save me more. Now to address several flaws. First is the sudden braking. If you stop at a stoplight, stop sign, or are yielding in a left turn lane to enter a business. It registers as sudden braking and lowers your score. Next is speeding. No matter what the speed limit, as long as you stay under eighty miles per hour, you are not penalized for speeding. I drive on a highway where speed limit is seventy five, so it’s pretty touchy. Next is time of day driving. I work rotating shifts at a paper mill. I do a lot of evening and early morning driving. Get deducted for that also. My current score is a 5.2 out of ten. Nowhere near enough to get a bigger discount. Fix these issues, and I’ll give a better score.

Routely quit tracking my trips and I have all the permissions on.

I can not figure out how I have no events in my app and my score does not reflect that. My husbands score is higher only because he drives more and that does not make sense to me. My app also shows that I have speeding and phone use which is impossible since the town that I live in is so small that I barely can get over on the 40 miles and I never use my phone while I am driving due to the fact everything is within a 5min drive.

Routely it self feels slow including, the at fact that I have never gone over 80mph speeding and yet my score is lowered and it doesn’t show me when it happened.

App just quite working. All settings say it’s good but hasn’t tracked a single trip in nearly a month.

Very good feedback that helps make me a better driver. It does not know when I am a passenger in someone else’s car. It is easily forgotten and then it looks like I was the one making the driving error.

I like Routely . I don’t like the fact that it takes away from you for using your hands free phone. Having a phone that is connected to your car isn’t a distraction. I can do everything with my voice and I am still focused on driving!

Overall l do not have a problem with Routely other than getting a next to zero score for the driving time of day. I work a 7p to 5a shift four days a week which pretty much makes it impossible to avoid driving during the later hours.

So far , it’s nice.
