I used to love this game, and before about a week ago I would have given this game a five out of five. About a week ago in the mornings I would notice items I had produced the night before completely gone. I had made extra sure that I had NOT put them in other orders, and in the morning, really hard to produce items were gone, like kebabs, a hot dog, and granola bowls, this game is really great and a lot of fun for me, yet not addictive, I highly recommend it even though I only gave it one star, other than the glitching, it’s a really fun game that I really used to enjoy. I would highly appreciate a developer response, and even an attempt to fix the game. Thank you! This is a really fun game, really well done, but I won’t continue to play if this is an ongoing problem.

this is my first time playing a merge game but I’ve played several other types of mobile games and I find it extremely disappointing how you can really only play for like 10 minutes at a time without spending money on energy when I first download the game I was able to play for about an hour before running out of energy, but you would think if you go to sleep and wake up the next day you will have your energy full and be able to have a decent amount of gameplay without making an IAP. i’m probably going to delete it already because it’s just impossible to play it for any length of time without spending money. I don’t mind spending a little, but I know that if I spend five bucks it’s only gonna keep me playing for like 10 more minutes. What a waste. millions of people play this game, there’s no reason to be greedy, you probably make millions of dollars a day on this game. makes me think that all merge games are probably terrible like this. you shouldn’t punish active players by making it so the more we play the less we can do.

A week ago this game would get a 4/5. I have been playing it for about 2 years. It’s is far superior to any other merge game out there. But the developers of the game decided to make a huge change because they are greedy to try and make you spend even more money in a very very expensive game.
There are events that can be played. (Some new ones would be nice) but they are fun. And our team is usually first. We do a really good job. To earn producer parts! For your breakfast counter, and your drink trolley and bread oven and they took that away! We are not happy and there isn’t really a point to continue playing! You take the prizes away and what’s the point!? The levels take WEEKS to get through and the prizes aren’t worth it. The entire team is not happy and are considering other merge games now instead of this one. You can’t expect us to spend money every single day considering you only give us 10 minutes of game play and take away the prizes! BAD MOVE.

This game used to be one of my all-time favorites. But it seems that they’re doing a lot of stuff on the backend and I can’t upgrade any of my producers anymore. They have special games (pizza and ice cream) that you can play and I spend time playing those only to realize that they don’t generate producer parts anymore. Once I spend all of my diamonds I’m deleting the game. I thought they were bringing better upgrades but after the last upgrade was no improvement I’m realizing that this is the future of the game. I would not download it. It just leads to disappointment.

The pizza parlor is by far the best part of this game. In fact, it could be its on stand alone game. PLEASE make it a permanent feature, not just for special events.

I have never written a game review, but that is how much I like Cook and Merge (ESPECIALLY the pizza parlor!!).

After playing Cook and Merge for a few months I had to take away 3 stars. This game is a time thief. 1) the wait time for item generators or reward chests to refresh is far too long. Who waits 16 mins, 46 minutes, even 3 hours for a main component to refresh? I found myself putting the game down or playing something else with the intention of coming back after the refresh period ends but after having to do that so often it’s not worth it. 2) when awarded free moves for a limited time, the pop ups take over the screen and rob you of needed seconds, as you are then unable to access the board while the graphics cycle 3) never-ending build ups in the ice cream side game. For some of the objects, once you merge to create the item, you are then prompted to begin another set of merges to top what should have been the end, and again and again. It’s never-ending. In other words there is no max level which is a waste of moves.

I like that players are given lots of opportunities for rewards. However, I play this game far less now than I did initially, as the aforementioned issues are a huge drawback.

You can’t get out—it wants you to set up a team on social media in the beginning and there is no way out of the screen. You must set up a team name for social media so I just put NO as a team name. I could then finally exit, although it wanted me to put myself on social media. PLUS, as I’ve seen even from reviews from TWO YEARS AGO, the aggravating suggestion hand is so aggressive that it’s taken a lot of enjoyment away and I only play the game intermittently now. I would think that defeats the whole purpose to make money, doesn’t it? When are the developers going to listen?

I don’t like the “suggesting hand”. It shows up too often, and is too aggressive. It will keep telling me to combine two lower level items to make a higher level item, even if those are the only two I have, and I need one of them to complete an order. The hand shouldn’t be able to see the green items (the ones the game automatically marks as order items).
Also, I put all my kitchen appliances that make items in one spot on the board (the pizza oven, refrigerator, deli box, pasta press, and pot that makes ravioli are all close together). I will be trying to read what items I may have on the board that I need to put in the pizza oven — for example — and the hand will tell me to tap on the fridge (I’m guessing to make items for an order) but I won’t even have any energy to tap on the fridge. When the hand shows up to do that, it will block my view of what I need to put in the pizza oven. As far as I’ve seen, there’s no way to turn the hand off. After a certain amount of time, the players get it. They don’t need the hand the entire time they’re playing the game.
The hand should stop showing up after a certain amount of time, or players should be able to turn it off.

It’s a super fun game. However, it’s extremely frustrating to continually have to spend more than 100 energy points in order to get pastry. The first couple of times I was okay with it. Now, not so much. Items to make sandwiches drop 8-12 times more than pastry. The game should be more intuitive with the needs of the player to reinforce and motivate the player to want to continue playing.

I really like this game, but mostly because I have others to play. This game is SLOW. You rarely get the opportunity to upgrade the generators and when you do they have similar productivity to the previous level. I love being able to build the different stores etc but you rarely get an order that has a star. You’d think only needing 7 stars would be quick to get but it takes forever. It’s actually pretty weird how slow paced the developers have made the game. It could be so much better. I agree with so many of the other reviews here.

I love this game, but we need more variety in the orders. I am on level 31, and I keep getting orders for the same items, over and over, and my board is getting clogged with max level items they never ask for. I have more chocolate lava cakes than I will ever be able to unload. And that’s after selling some off.

We also desperately need the options expand our storage, because that too is full of max level items and varying levels of garden plots, drink carts, etc, that can’t be merged yet.

Those two improvements would make this a solid five-star for me.

I really do like this game, but I have deleted the same reason I delete many merging games, it’s hard to give the people what they order. For example, someone wants a jug of lemonade. The tray is upgraded and it still gives me water, the first product. The issue is that it takes forever to get to that one product, I run out of energy, and I can barely get gems so I practically run through gems trying to use the item again. This game would be perfect if you guys could please upgrade the product along with the item that drops it. Rather than dropping them at random. If you guys do go off my suggestion and make the update, I’d totally play this game again. Amazing game, just needs to upgrade the products along with the items. I only said this because the more you play and level up, it’ll get to the point where no one will order simple products like the water or water with lemon. So I don’t see much point in the dropping the item when the merging item is already maxed/ upgraded. 4.5/5

I quickly chose this game over similar merge games because it constantly offers new challenges so you don’t get into a slump. You have your main board, and a second board for competitions. If you buy things in the game, MOST is reasonable. One problem! NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: Please give us a settings option to turn off hints! The flashing items are distracting and maybe I want, or need more of one item. Keep up the good work. 😁

The developer made some improvements since my last review which made the events more playable and enjoyable. I’m seeing more balance in the variety of objects you receive to complete orders so you don’t fill up the board with things you don’t need. It would be nice to have more of a variety of events other than the Italian and ice cream event. And more boards with different themes in the non-event screen.

I’ve been playing this game for about two months now almost every day and with how often I play I do think it progresses pretty fast. even during a slower week if I’m more busy with work, I can still finish most if not all the card sets for an event series. ads help out a lot when i’m low on energy but want to complete an order, however sometimes the game sound cut out after an ad plays, so i will have to force close CookMerge . My other complaint comes , say I finish a card set and I get 150 energy from it I don’t always get to use it immediately afterwards because of the cool downs on my producers and I won’t always have an egg timer to speed them up.

I really like the game for reason I gave it a four is because it’s not a really good game but I like it. It’s really fun to play. Yay but I’m by is helping me play the game. I wanna figure out myself like when you match things when when you merge them but it’s still a really really really really good game and this is why I give it four stars

This game is SO much fun, but I worry that you will lose all your players because of programming changes that shut the game down. This has happened several times. Today I got a pop-up encouraging me to invite new players. It froze my game. Agh. Sadly, can't invite anyone until you improve your testing of updates.

Two things. 1) I don’t get the point of the “packets” constantly needing to be opened. What is that? It’s weird. 2)I play on my IPad and would love if it played horizontal.
I love the games within the game, the ice cream shop, Italian cafe and granny’s tea party. I spend way too much money on this!

2nd Update: latest game update crashes the game when you try to open a card pack (the purple one) & the other items waiting to be put on the board get stuck behind it because the card pack won't open. (This fixes itself if you close CookMerge before it crashes and wait 2ish minutes before re-opening CookMerge ). Original Update: I wish the ability to play offline was still an option like when the game was first launched, but that's my only complaint. This game is so fun!! So I download this after travel towns new update. I’m really enjoying it. I don’t mind the ads because it makes them money and keeps thing cheap for me. As longs as they don’t get greedy like moon active I’m here to stay.

This really is the best merging game to play hands-down I have played a ton of them not no more. This is the number one merging game there is you will not be disappointed. do yourself a favor. Download it now and have lots of fun.
