I have had this app! since the iPhone SE. Reinstalled it earlier after getting my interest back in it. Then I saw this new updated version and decided to reinstall that, but it crashes so I uninstalled everything, but it still crashes.I am using the iPhone XS Max now.
I found a temporary fix when you see a flash and your screen freezes: you touch the screen at the bottom and bring your finger halfway up to show running apps. Then select this app! and remove it. Then go to your main screen and select the game to bring you back to where you left off. Slight hassle, but it works for the meantime.
Once in a blue moon you will get an unsolvable screen instead of where you left off so you have to remove that screen as well.
Hope you guys are having fun solving the bug. I wish that I was a programmer so that I could help!

I love this game. Super fun and addicting. I had this game a while ago, deleted it because I didn’t play it for a while. I got it back a couple days ago, and noticed a weird glitch that would happen when I do an especially good move. For example if I get a couple merges in one move (if you have played you know what I mean) this weird flash goes across my screen and it freezes or something. It does that flash and then it doesn’t give me another pair of blocks and it is so weird. The first time this happened I thought my phone was the problem, so I did the double click home button and cleared it and then go back into Merged and it would leave me back where I was. Then it happened again the next time I did a good move! 5 stars would be given if this bug was fixed. Very frustrating and annoying glitch.

Like many free to play games, this app has always relied on ads. The game itself is a relatively relaxing and fun game to play. However, since I reinstalled it, I have realized it is really “Ads the game.”
As I played, every time I went up a level, I would have to exit to the Home Screen where I got to watch 1-2 ads. What was really fun is that several of them were the kind where there is no exiting them without opening Merged Store...which ALWAYS makes me want to get THAT app. Then you click to go in, and you have a banner ad at the top blocking most of your controls. Oh, and you had to watch an ad to go back into the level. Then you go up another level and another 2-4 ads, probably for Garden Scape. So it used to be fun, now not so much unless you want to see annoying Garden Scape ads over and over and over again.

I’ve enjoyed playing this game however the maddening thing is there is no way to know what numbers are coming in order to help strategize as you move along. At the beginning the numbers that come create easy merges. Then it starts offering numbers that won’t combine and there’s no way to know if what is coming will be a single or a double toss. So it’s very hard to progress… it’s like the game gets to control outcome not you as there is no way to influence the toss. Also The beginning throw is always the same and the increase level doesn’t change anything just shows you how long you’ve been playing. Can’t undo a move either and no game explanations with it or timer all of which would be an easy and fun addition. So It’s fun for a while but limited engagement with no real way to progress beyond getting better at seeing how the merges can be maximized.

this app is a simple, fun and addictive game. Excellent UI and sound effects.
But the first thing you notice are the incessant ads, even during the game play. You can pay a dollar to remove the ads, but only on one device. If you switch phones or own an iPad, you have to plunk down another $.
Next, you notice that the levels don’t present any new challenges. The game grows boring quickly.
Because the game chooses the next tiles pseudo-randomly, you can’t really improve your score either. The algorithm limits your game play deliberately. You can buy coins to offer more choices, but you quickly run through all of your coins.
Ultimately, you reach a wall where you can’t get ahead and you wind up spending more and more money to play longer or better your score.

I love the concept and play of this game, but it isn’t a good enough game for the annoyance of the ads.

1. They know we don’t like this, and there’s no way to leave a review through the game.
2. Ads — so many issues. After every game you have at least 10 seconds of video ads to watch.
3. Video ads all play sound by default and sometimes the mute button doesn’t work.
4. After your video ad, you are required to sit on a pop up ad for an additional 5 seconds.
5. Once you click the x on the ad, it takes you to the page to download it, not back to the game.
6. Sometimes you have to hit the x 15+ times to even be sent to the ad’s download page so you can go back and ACTUALLY PLAY THEIR GAME.

I understand making the ads annoying enough for us to want to buy to have them removed, but all this practice has encouraged me to do is uninstall. Your game is not developed or intense enough to make it worth it.

I had this downloaded a long time ago, and uninstalled because of the ads. When I got my new phone, I downloaded it, remembering that I enjoyed the game. Unfortunately, the ads have actually GOTTEN WORSE, not better.

Not only would I never download any ap advertised through this game on principle alone, but I’ve actually refused to even try games that do look interesting just because of the abusive ad tactics of this game.

Uninstalled.

I used to love this game and I still like it. However, there are so many glitches, bugs, crashes, and freezes that happen when you play the game. It will flash sometimes after you make a move, which then doesn’t give you dice to put on the board (it’s just blank). It also doesn’t merge all the tiles if you have more than three... which I’m pretty sure is a glitch but maybe not, I think it’s a glitch. Sometimes when I merge 3 M’s together it flashes to get rid of the stuff around it (like it’s supposed to) but then it doesn’t get rid of everything around it. Next thing, sometimes it won’t let you place a dice on the board in a specific spot, almost like there’s already a piece there (but there isn’t, it’s empty). Sometimes it will give you two dice when you only have one spot left on the board. I can go on an on about different problems, but I’m sure you get the point. PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!

TL;DR:
-Gameplay thing I’m pretty sure is a bug
-Sometimes your piece disappears
-Softlock occasionally when the piece never comes back after disappearing.

I remembered liking this game when I played it a year or two ago so I recently installed it again but this version is incredibly buggy. One thing I noticed is that when I have an arrangement like this:

Does not work, it animates the 3s first, but then leaves the new 4 in the corner so the animation looks like

This may be intentional but it looks bad.

Also sometimes when I place a piece the screen blinks and the next piece is never loaded. Sometimes this can be fixed by exiting to the home menu and hitting play, though sometimes this changes the board for no reason by adding a block in a random position, so you may need to back out more than once to get the board in the correct state.

Additionally, I was once experiencing the bug detailed above, and the next piece refused to load even after exiting to the menu multiple times. The game softlocked and I had to relaunch Merged to fix this.

I’ve been playing your game since I got my first iPhone and love it! However, the most recent update has an annoying glitch. After playing a game for awhile, when the tiles merge, there while be a flash across the screen and the next tile (to be played) does not appear. The only way to reset it is to exit Merged & scroll it off the iPhone screen so it is closed. When you re-enter, the screen before the merge comes up and you can repeat your play without the glitch happening again. However, this error happens at least once every game...seems more frequent with merges of 4 or more tiles and with the “M” tiles. Please fix this, so I can enjoy your game again! Thanks!

My favorite part of this app used to be merging 4+ blocks of the same kind together but now it only merges three at a time even if it ends up connecting 4 or more which is kind of annoying because instinctively it should just merge all of them. (Only happens sometimes like when there are four 2s- it’ll merge only three of them and leave one)

Ads are kind of annoying because even when I just go into the settings for a hot sec an ad comes up.

Also weird touch response on iPhone XR when picking up the blocks, not sure if it’s intentional or not. But I would probably rather have block jump up right as I pick it up rather when I’m hovering it over the board because it’s faster that way.

I used to play this game on a frequent basis, and loved it. But some update must have gone horribly wrong, because it’s become almost unplayable.

The screen will periodically flash for a split-second as you play (this usually happens after multiple merges occur from one move), and break the game. You won’t be given a new block to put down, and continuing becomes impossible. Another reviewer provided a useful tip, that closing the game and reopening it can temporarily fix this bug. But eventually even that failed, and I was left in an endless loop of rebooting the game only to run into the same glitch.

The aesthetics and sound design of this game are fun and soothing. It’s a shame the gameplay had to be marred by this. I’m uninstalling Merged until this bug is fixed.

Fun game. Requires thinking, planning and strategy so NOT a mindless game, which is great. But, it’s way to difficult to get higher scores on this game. If the algorithm allowed for fewer doubles-especially once the board fills up-to give you a chance to actually achieve a high score it would be so much more fun to play. Unfortunately the way it is now, the less space available on the board it seems like the more doubles you get so you are basically screwed once the board is over half full. Also, could be user error but I have played for a while now and have not been able to improve my score over time. That ends up making the game a bit boring after a while.

This has been a favorite for several years. Even got my adult sons hooked. For 3 days now something has changed. I’ll see a quick flash of light & then the next tiles to place do not appear. Have to go to another game. Also, I was on 24 & now find I’m on 7. Someone explain this to me. My high score is still shown, but I’m at a loss as to why the game has changed so.
I’m revising my previous 5 stars to a 3. Just reinstalled game, starting at zero, still have same problem, flash of light & then next tiles dont appear. Had a real high score, for me, previously. Find this issue to be a non starter. Goodbye this app.

This game is so addicting but it CONSTANTLY has glitches! Sometimes the “blast” doesn’t happen when I get 3 M’s. A lot of times the game will flash and then there’s no die to pick up, so I have to close Merged and go back in. That literally happens every 5 moves. Tried deleting Merged and reinstalling- no luck. It also freezes when I win “extra coins” and then I don’t get the extra coins. And the most FRUSTRATING is there have been a couple times where the game thinks a tile is occupied when it’s really empty, so then it doesn’t let me put anything in that spot for the remainder of the game. It’s the worst! Extremely disappointed bc this game could be awesome. I’ve never experienced this many problems in a game before. Time to DELETE it because I’ve lost all my patience for this app!

I had to read the reviews to see if this was only happening on my phone but come to find out there are many reviews talking about the “glitch”. Same as the other reviews state, I’ll be playing along, doing pretty well and then the flash of light and the game freezes. I’ll close out Merged and restart it and it will take me back to where I left off, most of the time. The reason for the not so good review is that I was just playing the game, it glitched a few times but the last time I reopened Merged , the board was not where I left off. I was getting ready to merge three of the “M’s” and it froze. When I brought it back up it was different and I lost the opportunity to merge the “M’s. I am going to just delete Merged , it’s too aggravating.

I love this game and I’ve been playing it for years, though lately there’s a bug where the game glitches after you make a move and it freezes the whole thing and you have to close it and try that move again. I made a move with a color that this app four times, ending with the merging of 3 Ms, and the game is completely bricked. I closed it and tried the same thing 3 times and each time I had the same result. I ended up switching my moves and lost the game when I could have gotten further had this glitch not happened. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Love this game. Started playing it years ago. I had it on my phone for a couple years than stopped playing and deleted Merged . You have to restart from the beginning if you download it again, which is fine, but ever since I got it back, there have been way more ads and Merged has been crashing a ton. Especially with the most recent update. Every few turns, the blocks disappear than I have to go to the home screen for the ad to pop up and skip it and go back into the level but I’m back a turn?

Anyway, 3/5 love the game but the ads and menu crashes are really frustrating

It seems like Merged crashes when you have 2 or 3 merges in a row. You have to force-quit and then it’ll take you back to the place where you started the merge sequence. Doing the same merge sequence yields the same crash. I love this game and before this update would have given it a 5; as it is, I’ve just uninstalled it, because what’s the point? Looks like complaints of crashes have been coming in since July, with no dev response. Help is not coming. Time to free up space on my phone, I guess.

I’m so incredibly confused by the high ratings. Granted, it’s probably user error, but still the grade is so misleading. Nearly every review I’ve read has the same negative comments as me. But then has a four or five star rating.

1. Too many adds (which I could handle if the following didn’t happen).
2. Laggy, to the point of freezing and force restarting my phone.
3. Overheating of the internal operating system.
4. Super sketchy, virus infected, pop ups. (Which alone is completely unforgivable).
5. It’s become impossible to get above a couple of thousand points. I understand the concept of trying to make it challenging, but the computer is not randomly generating numbers. It’s purposely giving you numbers you can’t use. Thus meaning you have to toss them and buy more.

Anyways, point being. For over a year now. People have been making the same complaints and nothing has been done. The rating of your game is completely misleading. Your inability to fix any one of the problems shows that you truly do not care about your customers. So like many, many others. I’m saying goodbye to merge. Get it together. Or delete your program completely.

If Tetris and dominos had a baby it would be this game. I love it.
I totally would have given this game a 5 except for the fact that it frequently slows down so much during play I have to close out and go back in or it freezes completely usually on ads. So I was looking for a paid version to hopefully avoid at least the freezing up on ads. I have had to shut down my phone completely a few times. I got a friend playing this also and they have the same problem.
Please fix the glitches!
