already a mess

i am so tired of the experimentation. bring us a complete concept without errors. ive already found a typo in WeverseAlbums. “Cancle” instead of cancel. i dont need a 4th service for music. stop being greedy. give us physical jack in the box albums. this is not what we want. we dont want nfts either just to cover all bases.

Give us Jack In The Box Physical CDs

Hybe is using j-hope’s solo album ‘Jack In The Box’ to advertise their nft fake digital player app, Weverse Albums (which streams don’t count towards ANY music charts). As fans all we want is a physical album with a physical cd and physical photocards and a physical photobook. Hybe stop experimenting with things no one asked for!! GIVE US THE VERSION OF ‘JACK IK THE BOX’ WITH PHYSICAL CDS AND STOP TRYING TO SABOTAGE J-HOPE.

Requesting j-hope’s Jack in the box Physical CD

A proper solo debut should have physical CDs, his art deserves more than two photo cards.

let’s not normalize digital albums.

i don’t understand why we’re moving albums to this platform and eliminating the aspect of a full album. that’s what every music platform is for, such as spotify. i want a silly little photobook to go with my silly little photocards. WeverseAlbums seems silly.

Interesting Idea

I like the idea of giving another option for fans to purchase the album, but keep the bulk of what a typical album has digital. Digital photo book, listen to the tracks, read the lyrics, etc. Then you get a couple photocards sent to you physically. A lot of K-pop stans collect photocards, it’s a very big part of the K-pop culture. In the past you’ve had to buy them through a third party individually or you had to buy albums upon albums and then you end up with a bunch of excess physical albums you have to sell, donate, or what have you. This way you cut out the cost of the physical album creation which is reflected in the cost of these digital albums. The only downside is sadly since everything comes from Korea and shipping is outrageous due to post pandemic price increases you may find yourself paying crazy prices for 2-3 photocards which is the only con that I personally see. If only the albums $10 (average) price point was accompanied by a $5 shipping fee. Sadly this isn’t the case since even if bought in the US at a more expensive start price point $15 it can’t be shipped as Media Mail through USPS (the cheapest shipping rate) since it doesn’t fall under the requirements of media mail (since it isn’t physical media, it’s digital media and photocards) but nevertheless I still really like the idea. Bravo to HYBE/Weverse’s marketing teams for continuing to find more ways to provide for every type of fan.

Disappointed Fan

I wanted to like WeverseAlbums because even though I was disappointed that there was no physical album for Jack in the Box it was substituted for a physical album. I don’t like WeverseAlbums at all. I wish I could download the music to my phone. Since WeverseAlbums doesn’t count as streaming it doesn’t make since that I can’t just download the music to my phone or device. The photos are okay but I’d rather have physical photos because the images I can just save from online. The video that came with this album in WeverseAlbums was glitching so I couldn’t get through it. I don’t like how I have to scroll to find the JITB album. There should be a separate page for albums that I’ve bought.

I’m disappointed that I payed so much for 3 piece of paper essentially (with crazy shipping that was more expensive than the cd itself). Beyond that I like having a physical CD that I can play in my CD player. Also I like having a physical photo book with lyrics that I can flip through time to time. I enjoy when there is a nice case that the cd and phonebook come in that’s designed by the artist. I like having physical photo cards that I can look at.

Please think about how fans of the artist feel before creating an unnecessary app.

Great audio quality

I finally listened to one of the albums I purchased - j-hope’s JITB. The audio quality is superb! Much better than some of the other streaming services. The only problem is I have to scroll in order to find the album I purchased. It would be great if the purchased albums are in the top or in the menu for easier find.

Also, the problem some have about counting towards charts is irrelevant since WeverseAlbums is designed to listen to music. If you want to listen for charting, there are many other apps in the market for that purpose. As a new-to-the-market music app, this fulfills it’s purpose with excellent audio - better than some charting-friendly apps.

Feel like I got conned

I bought Jhope’s Jack in the Box album physically and I knew the album itself was going to be digital but WeverseAlbums is so restricting. I wanted to at least download the music so i can play it elsewhere but you can’t do that with WeverseAlbums. It’s completely proprietary, forcing you to have yet another music app to play your music. They even put photos and such in WeverseAlbums , which couldve been a nice physical addition to the physical album I bought, but they just give me my photocards in a flimsy piece of plastic and tell me to download WeverseAlbums for the rest of the stuff i payed for.

If i want to buy an actual download of the album id need to spend 12 more bucks on hybe’s website….. so so stupid. WeverseAlbums is just plain anti consumer and I wont be supporting any products that use this pointless app. Jhope deserved a full physical release, not whatever this is.

I honestly like it

The only reason people don’t like it is because it’s new, but this will soon become a trend with all artists and everyone will be fine. The music and app run just fine for me with and without internet/ cellular data and I’ve encountered no problems yet! You guys knew what you were buying when you bought the album so if you don’t like it it’s more up to personal taste imo. I think it’s an amazing idea and honestly so much better for the environment and albums are cheaper too!! I like it personally <3

Great digital album option

There is a lot of ignorant misinformation being spread about WeverseAlbums. My opinion, is that this no different than iTunes, just another way to digitally purchase an album and a platform to listen to it. Also I hope everyone who reads reviews does their own research and not blindly follow what is being said and that includes my own opinion. Again I think this a good option to help support your favorite artist.

Armys are immature and should be ashamed

JACK IN THE BOX ON HERE SOUNDS GREAT WAS CHEAP AND THE PACKAGING WAS CUTE! Would have paid more with a physical photobook but ya win some you lose some. Gonna start by saying that and shame on the ppl that came and review b0mbed WeverseAlbums out of spite. Lost a stars bc at the very least PLEASE put my albums at the top or on make a home page for them when WeverseAlbums starts. I don’t mind being advertised other ppl’s stuff sometimes but don’t shove it down my throat in front of the things I actually purchased

Minus star! Duped once but not again

Another fool who purchased J Hope’s Jack in the Box only to discover I cannot download it to my IPod. I do not have a cell phone and am not about to tote an iPad around just to use the Weverse app. I wrote to customer support and got no reply. That is telling in itself!! This no cd option seems like a greedy money grab thought up by some bean counter. Even the later-to-be-released vinyl is limited in use as far as portability. For those who do not mind this setup, what happens when your device dies or gets replaced? The lot of those at Weverse should make this right and cowtow while doing so.

New to this

I think this is really cool being able to see exclusive photos and media! This is also pretty similar to iTunes Store where we would buy the music and could listen to it offline even though streams won’t count just like a regular music app like Apple Music without the streaming service! A really nice way to save music!

Why has my review disappeared?

There were more than 100 critical reviews a while ago - where did they go? The marketing team needs to stop hiding reviews and face the fact that customers do not want yet another Weverse app, especially one that limits or seeks to replace the physical cd distribution of a beloved artist. Maybe it has benefits to Korean fans, but this is frustrating for global fans who already have good music platforms for digital music.

J to the Hope, Jack in the Box!

J-Hope decided that his album would be available on WeverseAlbums so I am excited to try out all the new features and content included with the album here. So far WeverseAlbums is working well.

Ridiculous

A wannabe iTunes and unlike apple music, your streams wouldn’t help out the artist in any way on WeverseAlbums. It’s ridiculous because I would’ve loved supporting Hoseok as a soloist but I refuse to purchase and album without the actual album part. Not all of us purchase albums for the pcs. Spare me the “environmental” reasoning behind this decision because you do not care Hybe. And I refuse to let you use my love for the boys do jumpstart yet ANOTHER app.

Limiting artists’ and fans’ options

Having just a digital option not only takes away the choice of us choosing whether we want a physical copy or not, but it also limits the artist from expanding his audience. Any outsider will most likely not know these methods of listening to music.
Please reconsider and give us physical copies as well for j-hope’s album.

Some of y’all armies are delusional

I don’t get what the bad reviews are for at all. I LOVE WeverseAlbums. The concept of the digital photo cards and photo book is so cool!

By

Digitial albums today nfts tomorrow

A digital album is something you get WITH a PHYSICAL album. It’s not the preference of anyone who wants to support their artist. A jewel case is better than using WeverseAlbums in which neither streams or sales count for Billboard. Instead of pushing useless apps onto customers, please focus on artist’s getting proper industry credit for their work.

A great way to listen to Albums in one place!

I love that I can now listen to most of my favorite albums in one place!

Misspellings

The options on WeverseAlbums had misspellings. It made my phone go illiterate from cancel to “cancle” after clicking the add/buy albums. Whoever launched this did not check things thoroughly and now my phone is broken, help. So please fix the errors! :)

when you pay money for something you want real deal not some peace of paper with a code to some unknow site to down load and it is there temporary yours until the site disappears and there goes all your purchases this is so irritated that I did not realized this was not an actual product I would of not wasted my hard earned cash on this nonsenses that I can't even access due to the way it is set up but I guarantee you it won't happen ever again this mistake of purchasing a nonphysical product this is the very reason why I stopped buy music here in the united states I want to own my music physical copy out right just the creators want to get paid out right for their craft
