Katapult Shop Lease to Own Reviews

I have used Katapult a few times and I have always been pleased with the actual service they offer. HOWEVER, I have never had a pleasant experience using their website and KatapultShopLeasetoOwn is even worse. First of all there’s no way to update your address. And so if you are trying to check out somewhere using your correct address, you can’t, you have to put in the address that Katapult has on file for you. But even when I try doing that, KatapultShopLeasetoOwn doesn’t recognize when changes are made and continues to give an error message. What makes this whole process even worse is that you have no idea that it is going to produce an error until you go through the entire process again and then submit it again before it tells you. They should just be able to tell you that as you’re updating it. But that would be much to have an expectation. in trying to contact customer service outside of just calling them is a waste of time. Because their chat feature on their website is useless. The text feature does not work at all.

Everytime I try to make a purchase i get a message saying something went wrong unable to continue and sends me right back.

The closer i got to my 90 day pay off KatapultShopLeasetoOwn tells me 1 day "no internet", the next day "billing must match debit card please email us" but my billing never matched my address on file and katapult has no issue processing my payment every week. I email twice to have my address changed and still no update. I call and get to half of the phone prompts and before i can even get to say what it is i want the options change so fast and then the automatic prompter goes "goodbye " and the call drops. The chat box also gets -1000 stars. I sign on the nxt day and get an "update app" message. My app is updated and they have not updated my billing address either. Now i have missed my payoff date. This feels so scammy KatapultShopLeasetoOwn works literally any day i log into it but to pay my payoff KatapultShopLeasetoOwn does not work the last 4 days. This is a scam

KatapultShopLeasetoOwn is the knitted condom of shopping/leasing apps. It’s beyond useless, you cannot use it to check out because it’s either stuck “Validating” or gives you some bogus error - like the items aren’t leasable when in fact they are on the list of allowed items. If you reach out to the equally useless customer service they avoid your actual questions and just tell me that I don’t have a current approval but when I log in it says I’m approved for like $2400. But NO per customer service the error I’m getting is because I need to get an updated approval. I ALREADY HAVE THE SAME APPROVAL! Like for real I’ve used Katapult several times on Wayfair and it works great. Try to use it anywhere else via their stupid app and it doesn’t work. LITERALLY KATAPULT WHY DO YOU EVEN LIST OTHER STORES WHEN YOU GUYS ONLY WORK WITH WAYFAIR??? I am so angry at KatapultShopLeasetoOwn I could write sonnets about how much I hate it and how complete and utterly useless it is. Save your sanity use a different service if possible, or just use it on Wayfair? I have to go do karate on the lawn now to calm down. Ugh!

I have had horrible support experience with support falsifying communication, for some reason my autopay continues to be turned off on Katapult and not one support rep can explain the reason.

I was assured the problem would be corrected , the problem was not corrected.

I am never late with my payment on either account I have had with Katapult, I sometimes pay ahead of due date.

This has been the worst experience ever with this company but the falsifying of comments the reps are notating on my account assures me that my doing business with Katapult has reached the end of its journey.

I do not do business with individuals of negative morals and ethics.

If you represent a company and you assure me that you are correcting an issue and you do not and it causes me more of an headache, than we do not need to do business.

I will pay my account out as always and complete business with Katapult.

Oh yes, the training of reps to over speak your customers is very rude and you accomplish nothing.

If you use this service through Wayfair it’s actually a good service and works relatively smoothly. However, if you try to use KatapultShopLeasetoOwn to purchase from any of their in app stores then it doesn’t work. You have to go through a verification. KatapultShopLeasetoOwn scans the check out page for your name, address and email however, because there is no where to add your email address on most check out pages when KatapultShopLeasetoOwn scans for it, you get a prompt saying “email is incorrect” although there is no where to put a email address in it. This seems trivial and like a very easy fix however they have neglected to fix this. I have tried their Google chrome extension as well as KatapultShopLeasetoOwn and nothing has worked.

Applied and was approved for $1000. Tried to use it at Wayfair to get my daughter a bed for $500 and they denied it. I tried to use it for $200 and they denied it. I called and spoke to someone that could hardly speak English and she said she didn’t know why it denied. That is have to wait 30 days to try it again. I asked why I was told I was approved for $1000 and then deny me using it, they said they didn’t know. This is a useless scam. Use Afterpay or Sezzle. Much more reliable.

I tried to do a lease with Katapult through Home Depot and it would not go through tried to get it with tech that very evening and granite now I’ve already paid off two full leases with them in the 90 day. And this is my third one with them never missed a payment nothing well it was too late for the person I got in contact with so they told me to try again the next day after going through all of it again they told me the reason it wouldn’t go through because my payment was due that day so I asked Will why did it not go through yesterday my payment wasn’t due till today and what does that have to do with this lease and they were quite rude and ugly so very very very Disappointing

I used this company to purchase a purple mattress and they never sent my order to purple! I called the company to get it resolved since they did take a upfront payment and I’m not receiving anything, we’ll the first person I talked to told me she would refund my money because “ there was a glitch or something “ which is crazy that they can’t just forward it on instead of having me refund and purchase again. Well couple days later I call again because I still have not received my refund or an email to confirm the refund,… to get told that they never submitted a refund. So now I have to wait even longer…. We’ll fast forward it has now been 3 days and still no refund!! But they are continuing to try and charge my account for something that I will not be receiving since it was a “ glitch “ this is a completely ridiculous process for such a small issue to fix. !!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

My payment method has always been with the same card automatically paid. Then my bank info changes all of a sudden and they can’t answer why. Stay clear from this company cause your bank info could be at risk since they can’t figure out their security.

For a few months now they have been doubling my payments. There take one Thursday and one on Friday. They refuse to respond to email and chat/text is a joke (except it’s not funny). This week they took $34. Which is fine that’s my regular payment. But then the next day they took $37 & $137. I filed a bbb complaint emailed and texted. Tried to call. No response. As a single mother this has really messed me up. BEWARE.

I entered my bank info for my payments to be taken directly out of my account. I also made this my default method and deleted all others. They told me is takes 10-15 days for a payment to go through from the bank. Even though they could see that this payment was pending, the kept trying to charge my old cards that I had deleted for two months worth of payments, even though I wasn’t behind. Luckily I didn’t have any money on that card. They keep any payment method you have used and will charge it without notifying you.
Would not recommend! If you want a leasing option I would try Progressive Leasing. They are much better!

KatapultShopLeasetoOwn is extremely buggy — doesn’t detect when I’m in a shopping cart. Can’t get a single purchase to go through. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve been using KatapultShopLeasetoOwn for more then a year. Getting new things I’ve needed after a bad stint of luck leaving my credit in the whole. Kept paying everything off before my 90 days to pay it off without the crazy interest. Everything I’ve purchased which has been a lot of stuff maybe 10 larger purchases in the last 15 months paid ON TIME PAID OFF NO PROBLEM! All while getting a larger and larger line of credit….. Until today I go to make a purchase, says I’m approved for 1200 (which I’ve used 2 times now to the fullest and paid in a timely and early manner) only wanted to use 400 of it. It says I’ve been denied ( no reasons why) and can’t apply to use at all for 30 days! I’m assuming bc I’ve paid everything EARLY to avoid the extra interest (that mind you IT OFFERS AND ENCOURAGED) they aren’t making lick off me so they don’t want my business! Gosh that just PeeD Me Off and after speaking so highly and send so much business this way! Shame. Thought I found a great needed service. But it’s another illusion

Exact same thing is happening with me as the other reviewer. Not to mention the merchant that I’d like to place an order with states they are unable to process anything from the merchant said as well. Pretty much useless at this point.

Every time I switch over to Katapult to finish purchasing I get hit with “something went wrong”. No matter what website I try to use it gives me the same error this is not the first you guys have had this problem. 1 star can’t even purchase anything

Keep asking me to enter my phone number after I already did!! Can’t checkout and glitches like crazy trying to shop through their app. Never have had such issues with apps similar to this one.

If you choose to buyout double check the next day! I chose to buy out so I paid the full buyout amount the next day it said I still owed $90 and had 23 payments of 26 left! Customer support was no help and requested a screenshot of that being the buyout amount (which I didn’t have because this is the first time I had an issue) they insisted I didn’t choose the buyout amount -knowing full well I did because I bought out two leases. Be very careful with the company-they’re all about money and will not help if you have an issue on your end

This application is horrible. Nothing but force closures. when trying to use and doing the application/lease it will only send 2fa then kick back to main screen. So you are unable to even completed an transaction. Hope this gets fixed.

First they claim no credit is required and that’s not true! First thing they ask for is you SS # and the limit is based on that. Second, I had the auto payment option on since day 1 and they still claimed my payments did not go through so the charged me an extra $100 for that. Third of toy don’t pay in full by 90 days they automatically add another 12 months of lease and double the amount you owed. And lastly, they increased my limit by a thousand dollars and I was ever able to use that because of all the glitches and how bad the process is. I was trying to get headphones for my kids on prime day and it clearly states you Can lease electronics but my cart kept getting rejected and I was never able to purchase anything through them on prime day and CS told me that having an available balance doesn’t mean I can use it. What a joke. I won’t be using them again!

The overall experience of helping on doing payments is always a win on big purchases. The main complaint I have with KatapultShopLeasetoOwn is when you make additional payments. KatapultShopLeasetoOwn doesn’t say hey now your next is good till the next month or so. It shows like even tho you paid extra you still owe me money on that date specified. So your balance will go down but no matter how much u pay extra it’s doesn’t account for it like u paid on the due date it asked for. Just something to keep in mind if your planning on using KatapultShopLeasetoOwn . Other then that everything else worked fine and as intended

Seems like they only respond when you say something positive…so, here goes….I POSITIVELY am tired of KatapultShopLeasetoOwn not working. I’ve used Katapult since it was Zibby, and only had minor issues. Called yesterday and was told I needed to send in proof of my identity and address!!! Then told me I could only change my address once in the system(been at the same house for years)….App is still not working!

I feel like you should be able to add anything from any store to one lease for all of them. That way you can use that total credit limit for anything and your not paying a huge fee for a new agreement everytime you buy something. It seems wrong and if agreed to pay for things in one lease I don’t even see it necessary to open a new one I think it’s just a money scam that’ll leave you turned upside down on a loan

they took two payments when I gave them permission to process one, I have been on the phone with them to refund one of those payments three times and they STILL haven't processed it. They seem pretty incompetent.

I made a purchase to finance headers for my brz on vivid racing, my down payment went through but it ended up saying error. So now I’m I have contract and payments to make for headers but I haven’t gotten no emails about when it’s going to be delivered or anything about confirmation for the headers. I look on order history through vivid racing website and the order is incomplete. Why do I have a contract still and the order didn’t even go through? This is ridiculous, Katapult fix your system please.

When I try to make a purchase it just says “validating cart” forever then “something went wrong” and repeat, why can’t KatapultShopLeasetoOwn work, all my info is verified

I enjoy the multiple retailers available on the platform , and the opportunity provided to finance, but some have 0 impact on your credit score for reporting back to creditors. It would be nice to be able to build credit on my purchases. Another problem I deal with is the autopay feature. It will attempt to pull every week , even if you have a suspense account balance. And continue to attempt to pull and post charges on your financial account provided until the money is received. It states in the description for the suspense account balance that it will be used to pay the next payment periods until it is drained which is a lie.

This isn’t a bad company I haven’t had many issues with them other then I didn’t realize if you didn’t pay it off before the 90 days early pay off passed. It would go back up to full amount. I only had about $100 left to pay off but the 90 days passed and it went back up to full amount as if I never paid anything that was really disappointing and very frustrating.

When others say "Decline", Katapult says "Absolutely!" This alone is great, but their customer service is almost always top-notch. Yes, making a Wayfair purchase is a pain, but if you put down the phone, and get on a computer (phone browser won't work), the transaction is a breeze. Just pay it off in 90 days and you won't incur interest. I'm a fan.

Well it’s an easy process very simple. Will be using to boost credit more. Item I ordered was out of stock though wish I would have know it would be shipped three months later before starting payments it’s for my car (suspension) but i guess it will ship sooner who knows

I wish that when you made a payment before it’s due date, that it would take it off as a payment when you are looking at everything overall. I made several purchase agreements and it makes it really hard to keep track. I also had to call to get autopay turned off cause there’s no feature on KatapultShopLeasetoOwn . And yet it still says autopay on all my agreements. I just wish it wasn’t so confusing. I don’t want to miss any payments and lose my spending power so KatapultShopLeasetoOwn makes me nervous. Or maybe that’s what they want? So they ultimately make more money off of you!

I had to change my phone number and the only way to log in is with your phone . Not even a way to login with email . Can’t email the company either to get this resolved . Tried submitting a ticket but it just says make sure all fields are filled out . They are . I don’t have access to my old number as it’s deactivated

I just recently filed bankruptcy not too long ago (give or take 3-4 months finalized) and they’ve been one of the only financing companies to give me a chance with financing options. If you budget right for what you order the 90 days pay off is great because it’s interest free. BUT if you don’t pay off the money loaned in time, even with 1 dollar left, you will get hit with the interest rate for said loan. Its nearly double of your product you purchased. It could be less given your credit score but that’s how it was with me. One other thing, if you miss a couple payments they hit you a “late fee” but they do tack it back onto your existing line of credit (not the product itself in which you have your 90 day payoff option). It’s not a horrible deal but until you payoff that extra money from missing a payment or two, you can’t reapply for another loan. All in all I’d give this financing company a 4.5/5. If you understand what you’re getting yourself into with the high interest rates and your interest hitting after your 90 payoff option, I’d recommend this to someone trying to build their credit back up with a company that’s willing to take a chance with you.

Great service easy process definitely 4 stars. Only reason not five stars is it is impossible to change your information on file without going through 1 million different steps so if you have an address change telephone number change etc. they require utility bills, photo ID etc. etc. and you have to email it all to them.

Easy payment opinions and my tent is so nice my kids and I love it so much the 90 day payment plan made it so much easier to go ahead and get it and pay 45 down and 15 every two weeks and as long as it’s paid off in the 90 day period I am only paying 17 dollars more that if I bought it cash upfront at one time ! Y’all should definitely trying it out they are way nicer and easier than Acima

My credit hit a wall with life’s up’s and downs. But using this payment plan a got what I needed and paid it off in less than 60 days. Also I love my bar stools. 4Hairy

I don’t really like that they include your payment due and the next payment together makes it look like you’re always a payment behind so for a while I was paying twice the amount than what was required. Why don’t we just put up the weekly payment due not the next two weeks?? Other than that if you have auto pay like I do but ran into some issues cause I got a new card theee guys aren’t bad,,,, it’s auto pay it pays for itself so,,,,,,

They will give you a few months “pay off in full” & my only complaints are the glitches in their software. It doesn’t sync well with the apps they’re claim to be partners with. I have to log in multiple times to get the correct calibration with “approved vendors” usually through my internet browser. I also don’t like logging in with part of my social security number every time I want to access the account information.

I got a call saying my auto payment was rejected. They couldn't te me why and I couldn't imagine. So after trying 2 more cards .. still would not go thru. Finally after talking to my credit card issuer's, they said that they had Katpult blocked! Not just one but THREE completely different cards .. they said it could be for many different reasons . now how to i make my payment ? 🤬

Katapult isn’t the best for expensive items as you need to pay off the balance within three months otherwise you’re paying double what the item actually costs. For example if you buy some that’s $1000 if you don’t pay that within three months then the balance owed is $2000 and stretched out in weekly payments over the course of a year. If you’re planning on using this for smaller purchases than this is great because it gives you three months to pay off the entire balance without having to pay that outrageous lease amount that they offer you. Customer service reps are nice and helpful. I just wish that they would either give us the power to use Katapult anywhere we’d like via Apple Pay/Samsung pay/Google pay etc or add more practical stores to their website for us to use.

I really don’t write reviews, due too time and not really on my phone, but I had too express my gratitude. My old friend wanted to apply, but he was denied. They’re fair with me because I’m dependable. For instance, I paid two installments just now because I was a tiny bit behind. I didn’t like that you failed to show my balance. I’ve already done several payments; and the balance is something I ought to be privy to as well as my interest. My other old friend said “don’t do payments, just straight up buy the stuff”. Her daughter makes triple digits but my son doesn’t …so there’s that! I’d highly recommend this if you’re just an average family living in a HORRIBLE economy.

Katapult made it easy to shop many, many stores for just about anything you want or need. I needed a dryer fast and I easily applied for and received my acceptance in minutes. It was awesome because I found and was able to compare other stores for the best price. You also have a small fee so keep that in mind after you make your purchase otherwise if you’re trying to increase your credit score Katapult is the best!!

My daughters both moved at the same time for college and another to start her career. This left us without our living room furniture. At the time Katapult was a great option for us to buy new living room items to replace what our daughters had to take for their new apts. thanks to Katapult our whole family was able to get what we needed and pay off in time to help our credit.

So far this has probably been the easiest app ive used for anything, very simple and easy to find your way around. The very specific details makes it easier to understand the payment methods and even breaks them down for you week by week which I think is a great help knowing what I’ll be paying each week is just a sign of relief, 10/10 would recommend.

I am so glad I found Katapult! I purchased a recliner I wanted from Wayfair that I would otherwise not have been able to afford. I choose to pay it off within the 90 days so I didn’t pay any interest whatsoever! You can choose to pay over time though is you need to make smaller payments. I highly recommend this company! I will definitely use them again.

I’m so glad I lucked up on KatapultShopLeasetoOwn! They offered an amount that I wasn’t expecting but I played it smart and only used what I needed. The only thing is if you don’t pay it off within the 90 days then you’ll have to pay more. Otherwise, it’s awesome to have a layaway plan where you’re already enjoying the merchandise while you’re paying it off 🤗

Please don’t forget to pay your bill these people will call you 25 times in a day for $17 otherwise they’re pretty good to work with to be honest. I needed to get to my card because I was @ work & they call almost every hour and as soon as 8am hits they’re calling 🤦🏽‍♀️ I know I could do better but darn that will drive people crazy just imagine if a person don’t have the money @ that time you guys would drive them crazy.

Like anyone else we have our days when we need something but don’t have the means right then and there. This is a good way to get things you need when you fall short. If you pay the purchase off within 90 days the fees are reasonable. The weekly payments are also reasonable. Have used this service 3 times and each time no issues at all.

Katapult made it easy for me to purchase what I needed for my car a $900 exhaust system. It was extremely easy. My first purchase was unable to ship to CA because CA has stupid CARB emission laws, but my refund from Katapult was almost immediate. My second purchase was quick and simple, shipped to my house in a matter of a few weeks. Now I just make a 62 dollar payment every time I get paid and something I couldn’t afford all at once is now something I own.

I would recommend Katapult to anyone and everyone out there looking to make a more than normal size purchase but just don’t have the extra cash laying around to pay it all at once. Whatever it may be, these guys can help you, they work with so many company’s to get you what you need. My favorite part is the 90-day early pay off option which saves you a ton of interest charges. Just make ur payments on time and they will be there every time you get in a pinch need a helping hand. This is my second time using this company and I am of many satisfied customers I’m sure. I use Katapult to purchase things that Ive always wanted but couldn’t afford all at once. The secret to using Katapult is get it paid of in 90 days that way you don’t pay very much more than what the product would normally cost. I’ve bought the newest Apple laptop,a Inmotion V11 EUC, and two Apple I-watches for Christmas! I love using Katapult to get the things that I want and work hard for! Thank you Katapult!

I don’t use credit or loans, this leasing option is easy and neat. But be aware if you don’t do the 90 days early payout your going to pay crazy numbers. If you can do the 90 days, this is a great option.

This company helped me when I was in a pinch and needed a new helmet. If there was a way to give them a higher rating it would be a 10+. Will definitely use them again

App works as it needs to but does have some kinks that could be worked out. Worth it as I had ordered tires and they came within 4 days of ordering. Paid off in 3mo.
