The description for Transkriptor says that you can transcribe for free, but you really can’t. I put in my file and it transcribed part of it, in a way I couldn’t access and said downloading it or exporting it is a “premium feature” sure, I guess you can sort of transcribe for free but you can’t use or access the transcription, it’s misleading and wasted my time, so 1 star sorry, don’t claim to be free when your not.

There is a limit of the trial version of only about 5 minutes. It transcribed 2 words. Dumping it from my phone and laptop. Don’t waste your time.

Says free subscription to start but won’t give you the option to ever cancel. I tried to cancel on Transkriptor and on my laptop. Their directions never got you to a cancel button. I translated audio to text using Microsoft word.
I deleted my account, but because they billed me three weeks prior to the trial period end, the title on this review says it all.

I was using this to transcribe Spanish audio for practice. When u first started using it the transcriptions were pretty good. But then they changed from general “Spanish” transcriptions to regional/dialect variants and it’s been awful ever since. I’m guessing they switched whatever LLM they were using to something more affordable and to try and make it better they train it by region? I don’t know but in any case I’ll be ending my subscription.

Misses a lot of rarely used words that X Spaces' automated subtitles can pick up just fine. (A word like “Proteinaceous”).. $30/mo is outrageous. Never. Free trial limits to 5 minutes a clip so they make users waste time clipping the file for no reason other than to push a greedy subscription when there are free services there. I guess customers are paying back the top tier UI developers.. it looks good.

This AI transcription app impresses with remarkable accuracy, offering a cost-effective solution per minute in comparison to alternatives. However, there’s room for improvement in editing features. Integrating a function to link transcribed words with their corresponding timestamps in the video or audio would elevate the user experience significantly.

It’s a great app for multilingual transcription. It is amazingly accurate and simple to use

Compared to similar apps this app provides more minutes for the subscription cost. I’m very impressed with how Transkriptor adds punctuation in the right spots. you can shout, whisper, or talk like Yogi Bear. Transkriptor seems to understand everything.
