Remote is NOT FREE! It is a minimum of one payment of $20 for “life.” But it does NOT do what it says it does… and it does exactly what the FREE Roku app does. That’s right, this is NOT an official ROKU Application!
The only reason that I even looked at Remote is because it indicates, in two (separate) locations: First, Remote is entitled a “The Roku Mobile App.” Second, in the description, it states:
“We support every channels you need, allow you to access & watch them using your phone.” This is the EXACT verbiage, typos and all… hummmm.
Roku has a 100% free app that does exactly the what Remote does!
I came sooo close! And I am soooo sorry for those that were scammed!

I installed Remote so could set a photo stream and as expected it doesn’t work.

When you download Remote and try to use it, it asks you for money. This is not the real Roku this app app. Look for “official” in the title and be sure that Roku is the developer. I don’t know how this guy gets away with impersonating Roku, even to the point of using its name and using a this app control image that is basically identical to Roku’s. Seems like Roku and Apple should take action against this guy so he doesn’t continue to rip people off!

I try to use it on my Roku TV and it still wouldn’t work every time every time I press the down button at least two or three times it would take me to the life Time thingy and make me try to pay and then when I exited out of there there was no there was no thing of never see this again or nothing like that so I press the down button again and it still wouldn’t go down and it tried to make me pay every three buttons

Scam. Don’t waste you time or money!!!!!

I should have checked the developer website link. When it’s only an email address and nothing about the developer, that is a huge red flag. Are all the other reviews on here fake from people they paid to post them???

Unless you plan on spending money on Remote don’t download it. It give you limits and it won’t let you use certain controls until you pay. Over priced when I could just go to the dollar store to get more batteries.

Doesn’t read touches, try’s to charge.

I keep trying to use the this app, but asking me if I like it, or to write a review pops up every two seconds while trying to use the this app.

I’ve literally only gotten to use it for a totally of .2 seconds before the first one popped up and then while you’re hitting arrows not looking down at your phone, but at the TV instead, it stops moving because they want a review or something.

So, here ya go.

Why no on/off or volume control for tv?? This should be a given otherwise what’s the point you have to get up if the this app is not next to you might as well use the regular this app I did not know this, and couldn’t find it when I looked at Remote

So I have to pay for full access for the this app and I need a this app that has a power button to turn off my tv without getting up late at night and that sort of wakes me up

Like but the online support is coming up short

I bought a weekly subscription to see if it worked and it does. Now I want to upgrade but can’t figure out how. Your support email doesn’t work either.

Without a real this app, it would be nice to have volume control on an app you PAY for

Great working tv this app app for Roku tv I recently lost my Roku tv this app and Remote has worked wonders for me!! It’s good and works and it’s cheaper so I’m gonna rate this 4 out of 5 stars just cause of the stupid annoying ads that pops up when I’m trying to find a movie or searching for one

I personally did not like that I had to pay but now that I did I feel that it feels smoother and faster than the Roku tv this app

Keep misplacing my this app and Remote was the perfect answer. I’m able to control every television in the house.

Says it all $20 for a phone app, but it works on my M1 Pro and thats what I needed, 5 stars if it was 9.99,

Between myself and toddlers I can’t find my this app. This Roku this app app has the best features and can be used by the week (if your confident you’ll find it!), by the month especially if you’re in the middle of move or have misplaced it before or for the year. This makes subscription easy and reasonably priced. I really like how streamlined it is to use on my phone.

Remote is a bit tricky when it comes to typing and navigating within a channel but overall this is great. Our kids lose their remotes often sadly and this is so handy for my husband and I.

It’s great. I have my phone with me all the time but am constantly looking for the this app. It’s so easy , and fun!

Remote allows me to control my TV without having the actual TV this app.

I don’t know why it took so long for my phone to recognize the TV, but it works. I’m happy!
