Where is the original app

I purchased this for my first son as a training tool. Metrics are great. But you could see bat and hand path which to me as a coach was more important. Now I want to use it to help my 12u travel team. And the current app version looks like it’s geared towards kids and games. Not for coaches.

Horrible experience

The whole experience has been bad. Trying to connect and get setup during the holidays was bad, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it was just the holiday rush. But the issues with DiamondKinetics dropping connection in the middle of a workout persist. Now DiamondKinetics is so bad it won’t even load. Website promises chat, and then no response. Save yourself the frustration and money and don’t use this product and company.

I wish zero stars was a option

I saw DiamondKinetics on a coach rac video and thought it might be cool but DiamondKinetics wouldn’t even open

Marketing vs Development

I wish this company had spent half as much time and money developed DiamondKinetics as they have marketing it. Everywhere I looked this ad followed me and m son. He was pumped to get it for his birthday. Long story short- it’s got bugs, not intuitive user interface, and frustrated us both.

Unable to setup account

I am trying to get the account set up while I am waiting on the tracker. I keep receiving an error.

Terrible App!

I could barely get DiamondKinetics to work. Majority of the time it wouldn’t load so my son couldn’t even use the device we purchased!

Awful

It’s the worst product ever super inconsistent on everything thing and measurements are way off

Stuck at choosing avatar

It won't let me pay trying to choose an avatar

No 3D SwingTracker

They removed or not added 3D Swing tracker .
3D tracking was a good feature
Now they just show number

terrible

worst thing ever

It did not let me turn it on

In is only showing the main screen and not letting me play

Doesn’t work

So little works correctly support can’t even understand the problem let alone fix it. Terrible application. I regret having paid for a year subscription.

Poor Experience Out of the Box

App is super slow and glitchy. Spent two hours on Christmas trying unsuccessfully to add a bat and even register a swing despite it saying the sensor is connect (fully charged and “awake”). Extremely disappointing gift.

Bug

I have made an account and signed up online because the subscription came with my sensor and it was fine, but when I downladed DiamondKinetics it wouldn't let me sign in.

training device or cartoon game

the prev versionn of DiamondKinetics worked and looked like a training aide. Now I come back and see it's all been updated and looks like Disneyland! I guess if that's your target market then good on ya! Beyond the cartoon look, the nav isn't anywehre close to what it once was. For me, It's garbage. For kids pre-k to 6th grade I'm sure it would be fun!

DK is a toy

I read reviews. I read magazines articles about DK. I read comparisons between DK and Blast Motion. All I have to say is, DK must spend a ton of money to have these articles written. DK is a toy. Had it for a month now and I can honestly say I got duped. If your goal is to motivate you kid to swing at home and not just at baseball practice it might help. But if you’re looking for good data to base real improvement on or to track how a change to your swing affects speed, power, or any other metric, DK is definitely not the solution. It’s just not accurate enough. We did the home run derby at the field to compare real distance to the sensors determined distance. DK says 98’ hit when real distance cleared the fence (200’) off the tee. On top of the inaccuracy, they keep taking features away instead of adding them over time. DiamondKinetics is not very good either. It locks up in the middle of BP and you have to close it out and restart it. So if you’re trying to capture live BP data at practice, once you get DiamondKinetics working again, it starts trying to collect data right away while you’re trying to get the sensor set up for the correct player and correct bat which locks it up again…..using an iPhone 13 Pro with not much storage used. Been a disappointment.

Wish you make it ALSO for serious players

As a coach, I really saw the potential for your product and I respect that you are making a bunch of games for beginner younger players so they swing the bat having fun.
But any player above 11U or so may need a different interface or more metrics that are helpful for real development.
Otherwise as other reviewers pointed out, it is an expensive toy that doesn’t necessarily help baseball skills much.

Even with the currently available metrics, while doing a simple non-game swing mode, I wish we get to choose to display multiple metrics at once, without toggling through. Seems like a simple thing to change.
And please please have the easy spreadsheet or graph of the history of your metrics so it easier to keep track of the layers development. That must be easy to do.

I have a few months of subscription left and hoping to see some simple easy changes before we switch to another one.

Diamond kinetics

Seems like a great concept however DiamondKinetics has very poor technical support. The need for a device with newest iOS platform limits use on devices yiu bay already own. The compatability listed on their website is not up to date. The difficultly with pairing sensor to apple device also leaves much to be desired.

It was almost there

DiamondKinetics and the sensor had a great concept, but as I see it you could have made a section in DiamondKinetics where it displayed the stats of your swing every time and there was really no point for a sensor. If everything you do in DiamondKinetics is either a lesson or you don’t need a sensor for

Bad

Glitches all over the place I would swing and it would not count it. I took 100 swings but it only counted 10

app always has extreme latency

activities don’t load quite often. hard to use for obvious reasons. freezes often.

Wouldn’t open

DiamondKinetics would open for a second and then kick me out

Sensor Type

I have one of the original diamond kinetic sensors for the old app. I am not sure why, but it is saying that my sensor is not compatible with the new app. This seems to be a great app, but I would not know because of these technical difficulties.

Fun till it doesn’t work

I was using it then one day I go on it and DiamondKinetics ain’t opening up

Can’t get my boys off the app… loving it!!

Downloaded today and my boys have been on it for 2 hours. Watching Coach Ian and the home run derby. Very engaging and great tips that have kept highly engaged by earning badges! Keep the updates coming! Let’s go Mets!

fun app!

i really like DiamondKinetics, especially the games!

Great Hitting App!

I have learned so much from these coaches!

Very good technology

Works very well helps with batting

Love it!

My kid likes all the new games and content from MLB!

Great content for home training

My kids love the new instructors! This is what we’ve been looking for with our at home instruction. They loved playing this weekend!
