Creators Abandoned Game

There has not been anything new for almost a year. Creators do not interact on discord either. The game has been abandoned. I do believe this is not being said in their discord or anywhere else because they still have people wanting to play and charging absurd amounts for in game content. There will be a copy paste reply under my review, I’m nearly positive of that fact. Last update says two weeks ago, however, there has not been any actual updates since late last year / early this year. The creators last spoke in discord in February 2023. This was about a major update, then the creators disappeared. I suggest this game be investigated for misleading practices by the Apple Store. It’s disappointing that so many new players are spending money thinking they will have new content soon, when that is obviously not happening. There is not even an option to restart the game with prestige. Once you complete the short list of achievements that’s it. There is nothing else to do. I do not suggest wasting time spending money for in game content. Disappointed with the creators.

Buyer beware! Changes from offline wishing well to offline money vault is upsetting

This recent update was pretty upsetting -- especially for those who had purchased the wishing well offline feature. I originally purchased the offline wishing well feature to allow up to 8 hours of offline passive income and with this recent change to the offline money vault system I lose 6 hours of offline passive income! This is definitely not what I expected and does not equate to what I had originally purchased. I would caution those who put money into this game as the devs appear to remove features and upcharge for similar but lower tiered options. I was content dropping a couple of bucks every now and then but now I am hesitant of purchasing any other upgrades. I am unsure how this company can get away with pulling a bait-and-switch like this. I would have hoped that they had grandfathered those who had purchased these options prior to the changes to equate to what is being offered now; however, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Fun idea, terrible execution

The rewards promised for inviting friends to the game don’t work. The process is overcomplicated and didn’t give me my reward, even when carefully following all their instructions. Customer service was no help, only responding at 2am and ultimately told me there was nothing they could do after talking to them for 4 days. Their advice was that I just invite even more people to play their game, and hope it works next time.

The game itself was fun at first, but quickly becomes watching constant ads or buying premium money. While it’s technically possible to advance without either, it requires hours of waiting for build times after 5 minutes of gameplay. To make any quick progress, it requires watching dozens of ads every day, which often don’t give the rewards offered. Multiple times after watching an ad, the game screen went black and wouldn’t respond to anything. Restarting the game put me back at the point before I watched it, and required me to watch the ad over again to get the reward I should have earned.

Good at first

This game has a lot going for it. The pace is nice. The main park feels pretty good. Lots of ways to optimize park flow and income by placing rides and mascots strategically around and then using food and redirection with other objects. Where things start going downhill is the level of monetization and heavy lean on ads to further gameplay. Without the ad content, this game slows to a crawl. There are also ride spaces locked behind a paywall and that’s just no good. You have these holes in your park that you can’t do anything about unless you spend money.

Additionally, the 2-day events look like they have a live leaderboard, but comparing my game on my phone to another game on another phone the leaderboards don’t match. So either they’re lumping different players together or the leaderboard is just arbitrary computer generated players with a slow, but steady increasing score. There’s no way I’m the only person getting as many points as I got. Takes the competitive fun out of that mode. And the fact that after the event completion it just starts over again is not helping perpetuate the grind of that event.

Also, the 2-day park and the main park don’t earn income correctly when Overcrowded backgrounds. It’ll just resume the game and your income hasn’t changed (main park will sometimes work correctly). You need to force-quit Overcrowded for it to register you’ve been gone.

money

This is a really fun game. My only complaint is money in game and out of game. You have to spend money to get nearly everything in this game to make it playable. And the issue with the in game money is, the upgrades and evolves don’t even go with your steady income they just get more and more expensive as you evolve. I have make about 1m per hour in this game, and somehow it costs 500,000 to upgrade a table. Makes the game nearly impossible to enjoy or play. I expanded and got a piggy bank that earns diamonds and I have to spend $2 to break it open to get my diamonds. You can’t upgrade 2 things at once unless you purchase it, and the upgrades take 2-5 hours each. Theres certain slots for rides in the game that you can’t get unless you spend $5 EACH. Everything in this game costs too much money it’s kind of ridiculous. I understand wanting to make money but you should be able to earn some of the stuff in the game by completing tasks instead of making people pay 4.99 and up for them.

Pretty good - kinda cash grabby

The game itself isn’t something that you could play for longer than 10-15 minutes at a time. Personally I played it for about 10 every other day or morning and night. It’s not bad, the concept is good but there are some pay walls that make it significantly more difficult to progress in the game. The first one is rides: in order to get rides you need “cards” these cards are only obtainable through opening chests (opening chests that give you cards require you to watch an ad or playing and doing well enough on a separate park only open for 2 days -theme parks- with extreme disadvantages to most likely push you to spend actual money on perks) at your park or paying real currency at about 5 dollars. (You need rides it’s non-negotiable it’s the whole point of the game).

The ads aren’t that bad and there aren’t random ones that just pop up mid game like some other tycoons. Its mostly your choice whether or not you watch the ads but it’s also kinda impossible to get anywhere if you don’t?

Oh it also seems like a lot of creative effort went into making this one. There are some interesting rides, the graphics are nice, and the overall gameplay is pretty good.

Good, but…

So I downloaded this game a few months ago and it have definitely kept me occupied, that being said here are a few things I can’t seem to get around: the empty spaces where a ride should be they all cost $5 or $6 for a SUNGLE RIDE!
The space reserved for inviting friends to join, I’ve been inviting friends and making sure they cross all the Ts and I still won’t get the reward, after contacting support multiple times they tell me that every person that downloaded the game because of me “didn’t meet the requirements” (allow all tracking, cookies, no VPN when downloading, and of course, complete the tutorial)
Also, there’s a secondary park that appears temporarily as a sort of promotion, but it never gives you enough time to actually make any progress in that park, they are always set to a day or two, and you can’t earn enough money in that amount of time to make any real progress. Not t mention, your “thanks for participating reward” NEVER actually makes it to my account. It will pop up and say thanks for playing here’s your rewards and when I press okay, there’s no money to be seen for it. Just seems like a pretty effective time wasting scam to me :/

Spent $100 on this

As the title says, I’ve spent $100 in game and it’s disappointing to say the least. At first I was having fun, but then it quickly shows how the devs abandoned this game. First, the bugs. Where to begin? Maybe with the daily quests asking you to build rides you’ve already built.. What a quick fix to add different challenges if the ride has already been built.. I had to find out from a Reddit post that this has been an issue FOR YEARS! Why?! Because devs stopped caring. As long as money is coming in, ef updates am I right?.. Next, the “tournaments”. They’re just bots. And take it from someone who’s already unlocked all the rides AND maxed them out.. to reach max tournament level you need to practically have 8 rides maxed out or you’ll never get to the last prize. ESPECIALLY if you don’t BUY the x3 boost for $5 more.. Third, the “updates”. If you check their version history, they copy and paste the same “updates” they did YEARS ago. There’s no new update. Nothing that says what was changed or fixed. I’m officially done with this game until they start showing care to it. No reason to spend more when devs don’t gaf anymore, so why should I?

Great potential, needs work

Its a fun game for newcomers but it lacks good scaling. I am several expansions in and am running into some issues raising funds. The attractions no longer make enough to steadily expand the park and build new attractions, this slow down makes it less exciting to play. There are also not enough attraction for spots available in the park anymore. There also seems to be a hidden cap for how many total guests are allowed to spawn which cause my park is because less productive because of how large it's become. The passive fund raising is also very very slow, no where near what I think would be a reasonable rate compared to when Overcrowded is open. It also takes several minutes of having Overcrowded open before enough visitors spawn from the busses to fully saturate my park because very few visitors are spawned throughout the park upon start up. More attention should be paid to smoothing out late game scaling.

Great game to spend time

This is actually a good game with a stable idea; at first most people may find it annoying to watch ads to progress faster but after advancing there’s mostly no reason to watch them unless it’s for a chest or a good prize. I like this game and I’d love to see how far it goes but there’s one issue the AI path finding is driving me crazy and probably other people have the same issue. The developers need to fix the AI as of now the new event with ghosts is really stressful due to people in the event park going straight to the graveyards or finding a way to get in and get stuck; I have to deal with the scare costumers even in the main park I see how some of them get stuck in one grid cubes. Other than the AI the game seems to go in a good direction and also please don’t be charging people for one amusement park it’s hard enough to get chests to get more attractions.

This game could use some quality of life fixes

There should be a way to delete, sell, or store my decorations. I have many many fans and it’s quite the issue having to move everything around one by one and drag them across the entire map.
It would be nice if there was a way to go-to or locate certain mascots or rides in your park. My park isn’t the most massive thing but I’m at the point where I play most of the game fully zoomed out and it’s so easy to lost track of mascots when trying to move them around.

Overall this is a great game. I love how I don’t feel bombarded by ads like other games. The adds are optional and the game was so fun I played for several hours straight. It doesn't feel like you have to wait hours and hours and hours to get upgrade and rides and stuff. The events are fun if you really like park building from scratch. This is one of the best theme park tycoons out there. I highly recommend!!

I loooooove!

I love this game so much, probably in an extremely unhealthy way as well. i feel like i’m always on this. I would absolutely give it 5 stars if there was just one thing that they’d fix!
I don’t want the rides that you have to pay for the be $5! I can understand $2 maybe $3 but i feel like it’s excessive to spend $15 on 3 rides that you can buy especially when i know they’re making bank on that ad revenue. It’s definitely bugging me that i don’t have them and my park has those few gaps!
Other than that no ads pop up you choose to watch them which i suggest because they can help! You get gems like candy so you’re never short really, and the rides are actually really cute and make me want to go to an amusement park!! i loooove this game i just feel empty without those paid for rides!! please make them a lil less!!! 😭❤️

Has potential

I like that you can one-time purchase the no-ads package and get all the ad benefits. That’s a prerequisite for me to play any tycoon game for more than a few days. I like the graphics. The mascot/photo mechanic makes attraction placement an interesting optimization problem. I gave only 4 stars because there is disappointingly little content.

This game was fun for ~1 month. Now I have nearly maxed everything in the main game and the “events” are just the same few worlds that go in a loop. There’s just not much more to do. 3 of the 5 parks are unavailable (“coming soon”). This hasn’t changed since I first got the game a long time ago. I hope that they add more worlds eventually. Ideally much larger worlds.

Growth feels very linear compared to other tycoon games. The worlds are almost completely independent, and the upgrades are all constant boosts, so there isn’t any of the compound growth I get addicted to in other games.

SO FUN + Some Tips for Players ;)

I gave this 4 stars but i’d really give it 4.5! It’s super fun and addicting and you don’t really need to spend money. The only thing is the events: they’re a bit annoying because you don’t make offline money so you just have to kind of sit in Overcrowded … waiting to make money (it’s not the same money as ur regular park).

You are NOT forced to watch ads but you can for rewards which i am 100% willing to do when there aren’t forced ads. I find it really useful in the game! Overall, if you’re into idle tycoons this is something you would enjoy.

Here are some tips:
1. Watch the reward ads: the money and gems it gives you are perfect for getting certain things on your attractions.
2. Don’t upgrade your queue capacity too much— the longer the queue, the more likely your patrons will get angry
3. Use your gems mainly on the “pre-ride show”— it makes the likelihood of patrons getting mad lower and is overall super helpful
4. place the jack-in-the-box near your exit— if there’s more than one, just choose one of them— even on level one it will make up to 4 patrons not angry! super useful as a last-resort effort to keep them for asking for a refund.
5. Be patient. Don’t spend your money to rush things unless you have money to spare. If you’re looking to play for free just put the game away for a while and come back later, you (and you’d bank account) will be better off for it.

Super solid game, definitely recommend!!!

This is a good idle game, but…

So first of all, the game is a fairly fun idle game. I can read for an hour or so while my phone’s open to it and then upgrade a ride or build a new one (I’m in the late stage of the game so money doesn’t go as far anymore). That said, it can be money hungry at times with the abundance of available in-app purchases; I can ignore those if I don’t want them though. There are 2 things holding me back from giving 5 stars. Firstly, the AI of the park visitors needs to be improved. Visitors often become stuck behind objects in smaller areas which doesn’t allow me to maximize space, they sometimes drift away from paths or near the exit they stray far away from the park proper, and hungry or nauseous visitors sometimes ignore food stands, rest areas, or bathrooms. Secondly, since the newest update, individual attractions and shops don’t display income properly when I’m viewing them. The park report contains accurate information, but individual rides and shops say they’re making far less than would account for the 3M/m the park makes. The park gate and gift shop wouldn’t account for the remainder either.

Great game

I was worried about this game being click-baity, but it is exactly as advertised and a genuinely fun game! I really enjoy how you have to control the traffic flow and not just click through levels!

The one thing I will say is that while I think that offering ads or diamonds for certain things is a fair way the devs make some money, it would be nice to be able to buy the chests with in game money and not just cash. I’ve gotten to points throughout the game where I had too much in game money but no diamonds and was kinda stuck. The special events seem to help with this too.

On a technical note, I find that as my park has grown in size/the number of guest grows Overcrowded has more guests to track and has started to drain the battery/overheat the phone/run slow. Seems the phone (iPhone 12 mini) is getting overloaded trying to keep up.

Super fun. A couple downsides.

This game is super fun. Of course it’s an idle type game, but you have a lot more control of your theme park than i think you know when you first start. Utilizing the decorations, mascots and services, you can minimize the amount of angry customers and maximize profits.

Downsides are on paar for phone games…. While i get they’re trying to get you to spend money as much as possible, it’s gotten to the point where I’ve expanded my park well beyond the amount of rides i have to fill it just because waiting time is so long. I have millions and millions of dollars and i could buy as many attractions and restaurants as i wanted without going broke. That needs a little bit of balancing i think.

Devs: Saving up money and having to choose between rides strategically would be so much more fun than just sitting around waiting for upgrade time IMO.

It might interest you, im not at all tempted to buy the VIP guest thing cause i already the money to buy everything in the game. Turn that into a VIP who gives you diamonds, or cards or something and im sold. Money in this game is just a non issue

Great app, some small issues

Overcrowded is really fun and you can play the game for hours, but there are some small things I’d like to mention. First off, at the special parks, the exit gate is for some reason a little too wide so that some visitors get out with out paying at the gift shop and then just walk past the exit until they eventually despawn. Another thing is the event parks only last a day or two, and there are only two of them! That means that in order to actually do anything, you have to play for hours on end and get super far, all for it to disappear, and have to start over again two days later. I think that having a rotation for the events is good so that we can get some of the things we missed, but there needs to be a lot more than just the space park and the spooky park. That’s all. Either way, this is a really fun game, and I really recommend it :)

Awesome game - TECH PLEASE READ

Super fun and love the new update! I’m so glad it’s here. First, there are some bugs, such as sometimes no visitors come off my bus and I have to close and reopen Overcrowded to get it to unload them again. Then it may get two full cycles before it glitches and just sits there, and stops unloading. But past that, overall, the game is really fun! I’ve been playing for a little while, it’s so creative and allows you to build your park just as you want! You can even move your attractions, control the crowds with fans and decorations, and much more. I spent money, I couldn’t help it, I was invested. (Lol) But you can definitely get by playing completely for free. The ads are never overwhelming or interrupting your game play, and it’s more than reasonable for them to support your gameplay as it actually rewards you with park benefits. I’m sure the bug will be fixed soon, and until then, I’ll be patiently waiting to revise my review. 😁

Mobile Devs, TAKE NOTES!

This game is amazing, and I mean that in the “Not annoying advertisements popping way.” Mobile developers if you are reading this, take notes on this game’s execution of bringing in advertisement income. In the manner that it is presented, I actually don’t mind and enjoy watching ads. They aren’t forced down my screen, or pop up every 15 seconds, but is purely a choice! And more often times than not I choose it because I want the reward. That being said, I’m not annoyed 2-3 clicks in to playing and it actually keeps me coming back for more. Longevity should be the goal of your player base, not how many players you target with ads in the first few seconds. I’m sure a lot of others feel the same way. What a relief it is to play a game for once because it’s fun and not a hassle. The gaming industry is being destroyed by such greedy concepts and I barely keep mobile games on my phone anymore because of it. But this has earned its stay for over a good few days, and that’s actually a record in my book. Good job devs and keep up the good work and updates, you have a fan here, simply out of the good execution of your product.
