Plant Identifier, Care: Planty Reviews

As a tentative and frequently unsuccessful plant owner, I wanted to be able to identify, catalogue and set a watering/plant food schedule to hopefully help my plants thrive.
I thought PlantIdentifierCare sounded perfect— free, user-friendly and informative. It is only useful for plants with which I’m already familiar though. The Planty photo identifier feature did not recognize/identify any of my plants. I tried taking a photo of each plant directly through PlantIdentifierCare and I tried uploading photos to PlantIdentifierCare . NOPE! Message received: “Hmmm, looks like we’ll have to get our plant detectives on this” and then just searching, searching, searching and never identifying. Then it offers me the chance to scan through its long list of catalogued plants many that look similar due to the tiny pictures. That’s not helpful because the whole point is I need assistance figuring out what some of the plants are and the best way to care for them. Le sigh. . . 🥺

I’ve just downloaded PlantIdentifierCare and started adding my plants using plant identification feature and so far it’s seems pretty user friendly and it’s completely free 😍 (yep, hard to believe:) it provides all the plant care info and also lets you set up a reminder for plant water tracking which is enough for my need. Would be better if they can improve the speed of plant identifier but at least it’s free, so can’t complain much ☺️I can see myself using PlantIdentifierCare for my house plants 🪴 so wouldnt kill another one 🙈

I have absolutely loved using this zen app. The interface is lovely, the experience is relaxing and makes me look forward even more each day. It helps me keep track of watering schedules and has a space for naming plants, along with other features that enhance the experience. The only thing is that I wish they had a larger database (especially for succulents) because I can’t add some of my plants, as they are not in the database.

I was never really into plant care until recently. I moved into a beautiful home surrounded by all different kinds of interesting plants. I tried basic care, but, I felt out of my element. I had no idea the names of the plants I was caring for and trying to keep alive. PlantIdentifierCare has been the biggest help in correctly identifying the plants and tips on care. The plants around my home are thriving and I get compliments daily by anyone who walks by.

I love PlantIdentifierCare way more than any of the others I’ve tried! It’s cute and I can have ALL my plants identified and on a watering schedule for free, not just a couple. It’s also been wonderful to have the identification feature to check if my outdoor plants have a chance of being harmful and how to take care of them if I want to keep the native species going in my yard.

I love everything about PlantIdentifierCare! It has helped me to keep up the care of my plants! I wish I could add notes about my plants under their sections such as specific care instructions like a special fertilizer they may need or something like that. But I have recommended PlantIdentifierCare to others!

This is a free app, so my comments are not necessarily complaints LOL
I LOVE the interface and design, it’s super cute, and I love the watering reminders
BUT I do not see where you can identify diseases or check for lighting. This might be something they are working on, but it shouldn’t be in the description if it’s not actually on PlantIdentifierCare .
Please let me know if this is in the works or if I am just missing it.
Also look forward to there being a larger plant inventory, which I know takes time.

I’m delighted with PlantIdentifierCare . I’ve tried several others and I haven’t been able to really like and enjoy as much as this one. But sometimes, when I take a pic in PlantIdentifierCare , it gives me a different plant identification. Maybe the database it’s not vast. I would say please work on that for accuracy. Otherwise, I’m enjoy it! Thank you! ❤️✌🏽☀️

This has been my go to app. They are not asking for money to help keep your plant happy. They are very knowledgeable and I have enjoy PlantIdentifierCare. I can keep pictures of my plant and I can select which one I want to water. PlantIdentifierCare name ever plant in my house correctly. PlantIdentifierCare is simple to work and very user friendly.

so far my only complaint with PlantIdentifierCare is that there isn't a way to delete plants from your garden. if there is a way, it's not easy to find. also the plant identification list doesn't always have the exact name I'm looking for. Took me over 20 mins to put in my fig bonsai. other than that, PlantIdentifierCare is totally free and the tips on caring for your plants are nice.

PlantIdentifierCare is so useful and easy to use, plus there’s no annoying ads like on other plant ID apps. Definitely a must have on your phone if your an amateur gardener like me, PlantIdentifierCare will tell you everything you never knew about your plants. 5 stars from me!

It’s an awesome app for keeping track of all your plants individual needs. But it does sometimes identify certain plants wrong; when I took a picture of one of my plants it chose a totally different one. But that’s only happened once and otherwise PlantIdentifierCare is great so I would recommend it.

I have always had trouble growing plants and staying on track with them. But since I downloaded Planty, I have been to care for my indoor plants like never before. I have even been getting new plants and growing 🌱😊♥️🪴

I have used lots of plant identification apps so far. Planty provides the best user experience for free. I usually use PlantIdentifierCare as a tree identifier and plant identifier while trekking etc. I am also considering using it for plant care recently. Its water tracker feature is very efficient and effortless.

Probably the best plant app I used so far. It helps you schedule you watering the plants. It also helps you identify a plant any plant around you which is awesome for outdoor enthusiasts. Looking forward to new updates and features!!!

I wish that when you scanned the plant it would also have its description like the light needed and how much water it should have. I also hope that in the future they will add a custom watering schedule instead of just the week and day

I downloaded PlantIdentifierCare because I am addicted to plant babies and I want to be a good plant mom. Thankfully, PlantIdentifierCare alerted me that my favorite Dracaena needs distilled water and indirect sunlight. I was not doing that, so it is so good to know this! I was very surprised and happy I downloaded PlantIdentifierCare. It did not identify it correctly, but thankfully my plant came with an identification card.

Absolutely love being able to identify our plants. So cool. Hope PlantIdentifierCare will help us care for our beautiful green family. And it will be fun making believe I’m an expert when I secretly use this tool to help friends ID their plants…

So far 100% accurate for my houseplants. Helpful watering and care info. Still haven’t figured out how to get alerts, but that’s on me. Clever, fun little app and free with no email info needed. Thank you.

I saw these beautiful flowers while I was hiking, so I pulled out my phone and went on Planty. Turns out it was an apalachicol toadfax (nuttallamthus floridanus) it was beautiful! And I diagnosed my cinnamon roses with abiotic diseas and my snake plant with fungi disease. It showed me how to heal it and voila! I had a happy healthy plant!

My favorite app since the day I downloaded PlantIdentifierCare !! Sometimes, I forget to water my plants but thanks to Planty my plants aren’t thirsty anymore 😍😍 It’s a great app to keep track of my plants and it’s free!!! Having a user friendly interface makes it easy to use✌️I think it will be my favorite app for a long time ❤️

I can’t say that I’m very experienced in plant care, I’m trying to learn. Planty helped me a lot. I learned the needs of my monstera, golden phatos and orchids . Free plant identification app is hard to find. Planty identification service is completely free, this is great❤️. Its design is amazing cute… 🌸🌿🌱🪴

I love it I like how it's set up how it looks and works but... It doesn’t know what all of my plans are and knows a lot of them but some of them they don’t know and PlantIdentifierCare doesn’t know a lot of different succulents which is the majority of my plants. Once it can identify a lot more plants I will definitely a good five star app.

Love all the different ideas PlantIdentifierCare implemented to become an active plant parent. I, an experienced gardener still do appreciate the fun PlantIdentifierCare add to plants/gardens. Plus their photo ID is also well presented and also very accurate.

Before this application, I always forgot when to water my plants and I was not sure how the soil structure should be . I no longer have any issue with this 🥳. Thanks plant care!!!

I just downloaded PlantIdentifierCare yesterday and am really liking it! However, I’m wondering where the Intelligent Light Scan feature and the Disease Diagnosis features are??
Also, I’d like to add plants to my wishlist, but it won’t let me?

If you are a junior gardener like me you will definitely need this amazing app which handles the plant care and reminds the watering for you.

I tried to identify my plants and it worked great. I won’t kill my plants anymore 😊

PlantIdentifierCare could not detect any of my houseplants, and when I looked it up and added them myself, it still did not recommend watering by plant. You have to select the frequency of reminder yourself. I need something already tailored to each species.

I like PlantIdentifierCare very much. It helps me to remind water of my plant. It itenfy it quickly. It is the best :))

I have my plants indentified, named and watering schedules, but I can’t figure out how to troubleshoot a sick plant…. PlantIdentifierCare description says it does it but I can’t seem to find where in PlantIdentifierCare it does it.

I had high hopes for PlantIdentifierCare. It did not recognize any of my houseplants, despite how hard I tried to photograph them appropriately. Hopefully some fine tuning and it’ll be a great app 🤞🏼
