Stemz: AI Tool for Musicians Reviews

If you are 1) a producer or copyrighted material; 2) A consumer of copyrighted material with permissions for some usage; or 3) Someone using Apple Music et al without copyright permissions to make derivatives then read on.
The agreement you sign says you grant MWM the rights to modify your content world wide. People in 2) and 3) cannot grant that. Most people in 1) have a copyright holder that wouldn't agree to that. Suggest you read section 5.1 in the terms of use -- part of it enclosed below.

LoL. this app is actually a great tool for just jamming, learning parts or even backing tracks for a vocalist or single instrument playing an “acoustic” gig. As a Pro, I’m always looking for how I can improve my skills and with this app’ versatility, I see endless opportunities.

Stemz is not useful at all. You literally can’t use it without paying honestly. You only get a second to hear the song you picked before something pops up on the screen saying, “you reached your limit” “go pro” or whatever…and you can’t export anything without having a subscription either so it’s all just stupid. Don’t download this, it’s really a waste of your time🤦🏾‍♀️.

There are so many bass lines I’ve wanted to sample. This makes it soooooo easy. You can remix any vocals you want. I love this.

It'll only let you listen to ONE SECOND of a song before forcing you to pay for a monthly subscription. I understand having limits but how they do this makes it literally impossible to use without paying. All I wanted was to edit a short 15 second audio and I can't even do that. Useless, stay away.

It would be really nice to have the subscription information in an easy-to-find place so people can decide whether they want to pay it BEFORE downloading. Its so incredibly frustrating. Stemz seems like it could be a useful tool, but I can’t really say based on the nanosecond I had to listen to the song without subscribing.

I was shocked at how well this worked. The name is appropriate and they just opened up a world of remix potential for anyone with an iphone. Im genuinely impressed!!!

It opened fine until I purchased the monthly plan and suddenly it will no longer open. I’ve had a spinning loading wheel for over 2 full minutes.
Tried restarting Stemz , force quit, restarted my phone, checked my internet connection. Nothing works.

Can you just make a button so you can search up songs and I don’t have enough money to purchase songs this is hard to use

It’s not a functional working app, for example, when opening Stemz it takes for ever too load. And you can’t get into Stemz . So I suggest not installing this piece of crap. Please don’t waste your time installing Stemz. It doesn’t work at all.

I Used To Be Able To Play The Full Track For Free. But This Update Has Changed Alot Of Things. Now I Have To Pay Money To Just Listen To The Full Track Of The Song. ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS. I Used To Be Able To Listen To The Full Track For Free Before The Update. NOT COOL.

App will not load. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and have not been able to open Stemz. I have restarted the phone and force quit but no luck.

I download the free trial after 5 min deleted. App does not play any tracks downloaded from the internet. Reinstalled Stemz still the same problem.

I don’t really like how you can’t search a song and it pops up beacause Apple Music cost money and I can’t do it on I cloud

Ok, it’s not free but you can try it for free. Once you try it you can decide if it’s worth the money to you. I am still deciding that for myself having just installed Stemz . What I can say however is that it works extremely well and you aren’t getting a cheap product so if this is an app that interests you I highly recommend downloading Stemz to try out the free trial because you won’t be disappointed with the quality. This is light years better than any free options out there like audacity and it’s presets lol.

I put five stars so this is at the top. The AI itself works great but then it hides EVERYTHING behind a paywall or a premium membership. I was testing it and it let me play about 5 seconds of a 12 second video before it said “well you can’t listen to anymore cause I’m greedy for cash🥺 but you can get premium for $10 a month or pay $2 for a 12 second clip”. It’s a free app for all this just make it a paid app rather than baiting people in with a free app just to make them pay to do anything

Is there something that happens with copyright laws or something after you play the songs a few times on Stemz because after paying and listening to a few songs , Stemz is telling me that I can’t play them and I can’t even find them when I go and try to add them again after purchasing on iTunes…I thought this is what the premium was for?????

Put this as 5 stars so it can be at the top. The AI works well and though it can be confusing I wouldn’t complain. Stemz is great except for the one thing that you need to pay to export? You can screen record to bypass this but that’s too complex. I recommend moises if you don’t want to pay for something that can be easily accessed and used easier for free. Should’ve just made Stemz cost $5 and make the in app stuff free.

Love Stemz , use it on a daily basis to study other artists music and how I can improve my sound as well but Stemz would be perfect if it didn’t lose quality of other instruments. music is hard to separate if you’re not the original composer you don’t have all the parts separately. I’m sure in the future Stemz will separate everything like it is in the recording studio and will get smarter. Other than that I love Stemz

Stemz is ok, It functions how it was displayed in the add that caught my attention since I’m a person who is trying to make sampled beats. When you make your first audio then when you are going to make a 2nd one It asks you too unlock this audio by purchasing it normally or purchasing this app Premium and that is really a issue because obviously people want to make more then one audio/sample since they have a reliable app that they can trust. I think you should limit the number of audio’s at 30 since thats pretty much enough audio’s.

Boy oh boy Stemz is money huungryyy like seriously although Stemz is not that bad when it comes to actually doing what it’s supposed to do but what I really hate is that it has a limit to how long you can play the song to play your full song it’s locked behind a paywall and most of the things are actually locked behind a paywall so basically just don’t get Stemz, it’s not worth your time

You’d get way better reception from people if added ad support. Have people watch an ad to unlock a full song or something dude. Don’t lock the whole app behind a paywall after the first use. You’ve already lost a lot of users that way. I’m keeping Stemz installed for now because it works really well, but if something isn’t changed, I’m deleting Stemz and searching for other sources. Because I’m not paying ten dollars a month for the rest of my life just to isolate some vocals

Stemz is absolute BULL CRAP. Stemz itself is free, but as soon as you try to use anything in Stemz it will not allow you to because the creator/creators are greed dirt bags! They try to make you pay for nearly everything. Stemz would be great if it weren’t that part. Stemz also glitches a lot with the audio. I would like to say that I put five stars so this would be at the top

I’m really happy with Stemz so far- Im loving the ability to take a look at any of the songs I have always admired, pull back all the layers, study what kind of
techniques they used in their arrangements- for their sounds-
Then try & apply some of their recording/editing techniques while mixing ur own music m

*BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY… it’s extremely user-friendly!

I’m a musician so this tool is very valuable software to this cost Hundreds of dollars. It’s not the price that counts it’s the value. Great for learning parts and only your part if you choose to. I have the capability to eliminate all instruments and vocals just to hear the bass line which I play. Awesome. Not playing the right note or can’t hear that change completely just us Stemz .

All these people complaining cause you have to pay a fee for this service- a monthly subscription, your moronic. Of course they want to make money, what do you think developers do? Just create something for free? People need to eat. Stemz does what it says it does, and does it well. Cough up a couple bucks sponges.

I love Stemz . I understand not everything you can get right especially the voices, but at least give us a minute to record. 30 seconds is fine but i don’t understand why we have to paid to have a sound be made. Other than that W

I am still testing Stemz on my iPhone. While it does separate the vocals as described, some of the other instruments sound “muddied” while playing the song. With some improvements by the developer on the software to remedy this problem, it can become a great app for musicians.

OK this thing is just horrible. It is kind of cool yes but everything is locked behind a pay wall. I’m not paying 48 year or nine of the month. It’s just so stupid and I’m not paying two dollars for one track. This is honestly the most stupidest thing I ever seen.

You can’t do this to your favorite song, no matter what you try, on top of that if you miraculously get a song of your favorite artist through, it’s only about 12 seconds you can hear and you have to pay to hear the rest. Not worth it at all

If you want to take your favorite song and EASILY edit it (maybe you love the song to the core) now you can, Stemz is actually really amazing. I would suggest support Stemz so the technology can get more specific, maybe the AI can differentiate between guitar and keyboards someday!

This allows you to take out, or quiet the vocal of songs. You could also do the same to the guitar, drums, keyboard, etc., for you to play along with it without the recording instr. or vocal sound interrupting your personal/custom tone

Years ago this did not exist, it was very difficult to make these effects and you could only do it if you had a computer, this application brought this incredible tool that makes life easier for all of us, it is simply beautiful, thank you creators 🙏❤️🙏

I understand as more learning is done it should eventually function as advertised but it currently does not. I figured a good test would be something recorded pretty bare bones but in a drop tuning with heavy distortion and some slap base - wanted to see if Stemz could determine which instrument was doing what. I settled on “Dig” from Mudvayne. It could not make any distinctions at all, didn’t classify the bass as bass and considered the guitar part to be a keyboard and a guitar, I’m assuming because it didn’t know what to make of the distorted tone.

I only tested one song because I’m on IOS and refuse to use iTunes.

This is an awesome tool for playing along with your favorite music tracks. It allows you to customize any song with your own personal touches and practice playing your favorite music when you are by yourself. I would recommend it especially for new musicians to get the feel of playing with a band before making any commitments.

Works great! Only problem is some songs I use, once I turn off the music it randomly cuts at times but other than that it really good and definitely recommend using it.

Have been learning guitar for four years and finding lots of joy. The this app app is great for practicing my set list of songs and playing with daughter for family music sessions. I play lead while she sings. Also great for general practice and jamming.

Tech support is very helpful for any needed support. You know what they say, “if you have the right music you either forget everything or you remember everything”.

I love Stemz I love how you can make it only voices especially now that the new trolls movie has come out and they end up singing, sweet dreams making it just so that I can hear their voices is so cool and also fun to mess around with definitely recommend five star review is kind of annoying that you have to pay to have full access but also that is just business overall 10 out of 10 app definitely recommend

This is so fun to sing with my daughters, we can turn down the original singing and do a Kereoke with each other. I love it because the youngest daughter is on the drums, and your program allows us to all do music together while we turn down the volume of the drums and vocals.

Stemz in general is the best thing to use when you want to remove sound the only 2 things I don’t like about this you have to pay for all the good advance things so all you can do is remove the vocals bass drums and the guitar which in my opinion is very good the second the thing is that when you remove the voice fully you can still hear it a bit in the background.

Sending in the same review I used months ago because it’s happening again…
Always used Stemz for practicing guitar, I’ve had a membership with the pro version for a while now and all of a sudden I can’t use with pro version unlocked now. Tells me I can’t renew because I already have a paid membership for the premium version yet it will not let me use it. Resort lice chases does not work. Uninstalling then reinstalling and signing back in does not work. Please get me to change my stars back to what they would have been…

I fall for those ads on IG or anywhere, and they end up being fake lol. But not this. There was free trials and subscriptions but you can still use its main feature for free and quality is really good and straight easy to use. You don’t have to know about music to move any controls. Impressive, and genius. This will make making instruments so easy.. game changer…

Now don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Stemz but please why is it the limit five songs to make AI stuff? like bro, can you at least bump it up to 10? If you were at least bump it up to 10 I bet you’ll get a lot and a lot more people to use your app for instrumental and other stuff, I mean, if you were make the maximum without paying for premium then Stemz will be like genius. I hope you the developers see this comment and fix Stemz
