If you’re having trouble logging in with your Canvas Workspace account, there’s a really BAD reason for this - Brother decided to make you use a Brother account (which you may not have, but if you do, try that).

But wait, it gets MUCH WORSE. You need to create an ID (not an email, but your nickname) to use Artspira - but don’t worry, Brother messed this up SO BADLY that your Canvas Workspace ID is ALREADY TAKEN in Artspira.

That’s right, the ID you CAN’T login with is ALSO blocking you from creating that ID in Artspira.

This is so unbelievably broken that it boggles the mind that this was allowed to be released. Absolutely terrible user experience and massive failure all around.

As a professional who builds apps for a living, I’m embarrassed for the team that signed off on this disaster.

It didn't work!!!

Can’t even log in and I’ve reset my brother password 3 times so I know it is the correct password. What’s going on?

To devs:
If developed for an iPad BrotherArtspira would be better if covered both landscape and portrait modes so users could keep using their folios and keyboard covers. Thank you.

I was initially please with the amazing outcome of some pins I made using the sublimation printer. I got excited over all the possibilities. Now, I’m trying to upload images I’ve created elsewhere to use and either I’m dumb or it’s not possible. I believe the latter. Prove me wrong please.

I have a SE1900 sewing/embroider machine it does not have wifi so app can only be used for my dx125 in which is. If a usb wifi dongle was created to make non wifi machines use wifi that would be great.

I got BrotherArtspira and at first I loved it. I decided to pay for the plus subscription so I could have access to more designs and that was great until the free trial ended and I was charged for the subscription which I wanted and did sign up for. However, every time I log into BrotherArtspira it says that my subscription is inactive. I contacted brother for support and they said it was an apple issue. I contacted apple and they said it’s BrotherArtspira ’s (brother’s) issue. If you allow users to sign up and subscribe through the Apple App Store then make sure your app is compatible with Apple Pay or any other way that my payment comes thru from Apple. Because I was still charged the monthly fee for my subscription but I cannot use it and I’m extremely frustrated because I cannot get this problem resolved.

Artspira stopped working after I completed my latest update on my iPad! It will no longer loads with OS 17.3.1! My subscription comes due in a couple of days if it’s not fixed I guess I’ll be canceling it! Yes, I checked on my phone and it loads, but I don’t like using it on my phone. My phone is scheduled for the same update tonight, so it most likely won’t work tomorrow!

There is no reason this should be held hostage with a subscription. If they want to have in app purchases for specific art, fine. You don’t need to have a subscription.

So it doesn’t matter what PES file I use ones I made or ones I bought they all go off pattern design at some point at first I thought it was a material issue and the material was moving but then I went into BrotherArtspira and looked the stitch preview and always around 3200 stitches BrotherArtspira will mess up the file and start going over track please fix this issue not sure if anyone else is having the same issue

Is the only way to connect to the skitch but it won’t do it or is the brand new machine that I bought last night’s? That will mean that the machine is junk. Bisides the fact that brother is forcing to pay 13$ a month for BrotherArtspira ir order to use the machine that will only work with artpira which doesn’t do as supposed to. So disappointing of brother.

Has a lot of problems in the program and it takes 45 minutes to get past the help people in the machine dept to get to Artspira help

No real instructions. Can’t get anything to load from IPhone to machine.

I have a new SE725; downloaded BrotherArtspira and thought "this is pretty cool... photo converter to embroidery". Well, not as cool as one would think. I did a simple 10-color 2 x 2 inch conversion of a flower. 29,207 total stitches! Nope, not a typo... 29,207 stitches crammed into a 2" x 2" space. The stitches are not the expected embroidery as one would see on professional clothing... not even close. BrotherArtspira configures a "stipple" design where each dot of color results as a poke in the fabric similar to pixels on a TV screen. The needle repeatedly restitches the same spots over and over causing tears within the threads that were just deposited. If you use synthetic threads, the rapid stitches in a single spot abrades prior stitches and they break apart into little tufts. Think about it... 29,207 individual stitches within a 2" x 2" area. This renders your fabric to be unusable when you're done.

The sizing is incorrect half the time when I put it in. I could set it for 2.5in and it will print out the entire page.

Not intuitive. Resizing to print on moda was awful.

I’m trying to upload my logo into BrotherArtspira , but every time I click on the album that contains the logo BrotherArtspira closes.

Terrible app. Signs you out all the time, limited features even in pic. Nit worth the price

I’ve had BrotherArtspira for awhile now. With the most recent update it logged me out. Now every time I try to log back in it takes me to the screen to create a new account even though I start with trying to log in using my brother account. And because I already have one I can’t actually get into BrotherArtspira then and I can’t get my previous projects that I haven’t transferred yet.

App requires a new account for Scan N Cut. Everything l tried to convert for embroidery was too complicated for it to do. The free designs have been disappointing. Don’t waste your time.

You do not need to see my search history nor my browsing history. It is seriously making me reconsider your brand. Please also consider adding in a landscape mode for Apple users who are disabled.

Unfortunately, cannot use BrotherArtspira. The developers seem to have no interest in making it compatible with the wifi dongle that is used for the Innovis VM5200 which was still being marketed and sold by Brother! This machine is about $5k when on sale. So why will Brother not make BrotherArtspira compatible?

As with all Brother embroidery apps, it does not operate properly with IPAD. Please fix to use landscaped with IPAD!

Very frustrating that I can log into Workspace Canvas for desktop and online, yet I cannot log into Canvas Workspace via BrotherArtspira using the same credentials.

Also, BrotherArtspira won’t connect to my SDX230DX. I may be wrong, but I have read that it is supposed to work with ALL DX models. And if this is not the case, why not?

I can’t log in with my Brother account, the same one that works just fine on my computer. Therefore, BrotherArtspira is worthless.

It will not connect with my machine I’m using a Apple phone and Apple IPad

I have the stitch monitor and design snap connected. No problem with them.

Changed my password three times to try to login and no luck.

I hope this is not replacing Canvas workspace since my SNC 350 is not a Scan And Cut supported on BrotherArtspira

I was so excited to use this to sketch with— but I soon found it will *only* allow exporting directly to a WLAN sewing machine. BrotherArtspira prevents you from download the design any other way, intentionally limiting the usefulness of BrotherArtspira . There’s no reason to limit exporting to, say, iCloud files for transfer to USB… Except as an “incentive” to buy the $22k Luminaire xp3? So here’s a basic, simple app that creates quick .PES files for export, with decent compatibility on iPad with Apple Pencil— but be ready for the usable design to be trapped needlessly in BrotherArtspira .

Brother, I would have given BrotherArtspira 4 stars if you would allow file downloading for usb embroidery users.

- why only single color sketching? Needs multi-color options.
- slider to straight line vs curve is confusing
- eraser size should be variable
- enable fills within lines like MS Paint
- allow more hoop sizes— at least the ones brother makes
- it’s unclear which stitch the “line” is using. Single run?
- enable grid overlay for spacing
- Is BrotherArtspira going to optimize the sequence? If not, this jumpless design idea is going to get SUPER messy.

++ It would be VERY cool if you would allow the pressure sensitivity of the Apple Pencil to feature into the width of the vector stroke, such as when handwriting lettering in BrotherArtspira
- model art capacity off app like Procreate Light for iOS. Inexpensive but powerful.
- would be cool to have a variety of stitch selections like # of runs, satin vs 3d satin, Tajmina fill vs Satin fill. Like a mini version of my Wilcom stitch options
- IF this is supposed to complement machines that cut jump threads, BrotherArtspira should offer the option to program jump points and color changes
- toggle realistic stitch view to design view

How is this $12/month? BrotherArtspira crashes all the time and is so limited. The draw embroider function cannot add preloaded text or images, you can’t transfer the files that you make to your friend/family, the image to embroidery has zero options to edit fill direction or line weight. Above all, why is there no computer application??? For a family event I made a custom logo and wanted text at the bottom. I had to load 2 designs for each item and align the text. It made something that could have been quick take double the amount of time.

I’ve been trying for three weeks to login. Keep getting error. I even emailed brother support and they emailed me back and said your using the wrong password. Even though I can login on brother website and canvas workspace with the same password. Ok brother came back with no help. Per my review I contacted support before I wrote this review..three weeks and still can’t log in

Ever since this most recent update, the embroidery software quality has significantly gone down. Now the program does not recognize the correct colors, and the digitized quality of the images has gone way down. Please fix. I wish I could go back to the previous version because it produced way higher quality embroidery files. How can I go back to the old version?

The lack of ability to local save your designs is a huge downside. It means you don’t own the content you create, and if you have a machine that does not have a wireless feature, you’re out of luck. This software could truly be groundbreaking with its ease of use, but it’s unusable for my se600.
Any other app I use with a subscription has the ability to save to your device.

I downloaded and registered this machine…it was a nightmare because I could the. Use my canvas workspace and all my saved projects…you can use one or the other, but not both…not worth the hassle. I ended up having to reregister my machine with canvas workspace. Even the tech support person I talked to said she didn’t understand it. I don’t recommend it unless they can integrate directly to canvas workspace. Not worth it.

The amount of restrictions in the software make creating a print job complicated and difficult. Too many restrictions for a pro. Cannot upload a file other than a JPEG, in order to adjust size you have to continuously click the plus button, several times my image transferred crooked

I was really excited to have a Brother embroidery app for my iPad. But it’s just another lousy Brother app. I consider it useless for iPad in portrait mode. It’s uncomfortable to use an iPad in portrait mode. Do any Brother employees or developers actually use BrotherArtspira? Please make landscape mode available on the iPad because I won’t even try it in portrait. Disappointed yet again by Brother.

After using BrotherArtspira for over a month, all of a sudden I was unable to log on. I have spoken to Brother several times over the past month. Each time the rep was unable to determine why I was unable to access BrotherArtspira but was promised that this problem had been escalated to programmers. Still no answers.

Try to sing in and stays preparing but not goes in BrotherArtspira . Tried with all sign in methods and didn’t work. Useless

Brother, you sure bold for charging 1299 a month for some of the most elementary, basic useless, pre-set or available embroidery patterns… honestly, I might pay 399 a month for what it has to offer, and if it wasn’t for the freehand lettering design and layout (that is a challenge to fit on a 4”x4” space), I would have no use for this. The preset options on my embroidery machine are better than what Artspira has to offer. It has the potential to be great, but whoever is in charge of choosing the designs that you have to pick from, for lack of better words, it’s an outdated and a very lame selection. i’ve never used one design from the Artspira app. I will be looking for something better. In the three months, I’ve had BrotherArtspira, nothing has been updated, there are no new fonts or really anything to choose from, I don’t really know what I’m paying for. Tighten up brother! That’s a steep price to pay for what it’s supposed to be used for.

Artspira’s digitizing options are incredibly basic. You can only use one type of stitching, and there’s no option to modify previously digitized files. It can’t even recognize the same colors, so you’re forced to manually switch colors constantly. Instead of processing color layers, it processes the order in which the design was drawn. It’s clear that the developers don’t understand how digitizing should work.

I’m amazed that they missed the mark so badly on what seemed like a great idea. I was hoping for more, but it feels like toy software. The decision to add AI-generated images instead of focusing on improving color layering and processing is baffling. Worst of all, BrotherArtspira crashes the first time you try to draw or edit—every single time.

Does not allow you to create labels to size with your own fabric picture. Waste fabric on the roll. Only friendly with Brother Scan and Cut and Brother embroidery machines. Very limited on printing templates even if you purchase the monthly plan.

Okay so I used it a lot with my brother sublimation printer it was great I could make the design the size I needed awesome. Now some update won’t let you see the measurements of the item you have! Wants you to eye ball it with your camera! This is absurd. I’ll probably sell. My printer cause of this cause you can’t really use anything else that prints for this printer well

As soon as I downloaded BrotherArtspira and opened it, I was immediately disappointed because you have to use it in portrait mode. Big negative for me. I use my ipad with current software and my Smart Keyboard. I prefer to use my ipad with the keyboard since it’s easier to type text quicker than the keyboard on the ipad. When I first bought my 3 1/2 year old Scan N Cut, I could use my ipad. Please get with the program, Brother! Update the system so we Apple users can use working software. Otherwise, I get I’ll just sell mine.

Finally am able to log in. It would not make it past the login screen for 2 days, but it is now working. I haven’t used it beyond looking through, but it seems promising. Was super easy to add my cutting machine. Just logged into my canvas account via the artspira account information area. (I almost missed it, but there is a blurb of instructions at the bottom of a pop-up screen when you hit the little machine button in the top right corner of BrotherArtspira .) First impressions: portrait mode only?!?! Needs landscape ASAP!!! Also, needs more patterns. I know it’s a launch, but there is very little, seemingly basic things as well. Nothing complex remotely like in canvas workspace. Canvas workspace has very little compared to other cutting machine stores. Brother needs to get the same type of market area like silhouette and cricut to be a complete (and supreme) competitor. BrotherArtspira would be a perfect area for it. Grab, go, and design really easily. I also don’t see an area to create cutting designs from scratch. It seems to me like if you go to the drawing tool, it’s only for embroidery because it asks for hoop size. So BrotherArtspira only allows for free draw to embroider and pick and scale pre-made designs when embroidering or cutting? I know I can go to canvas workspace to do my own designs, but I guess I was reading BrotherArtspira differently as was advertised. I’m going to play around with it and hopefully get a better picture. It would be nice to create in the artspira app for cutting as well. I use iPad to design, not a laptop, so I was hoping for an easier way to do so. The iPad isn’t the greatest tool for canvas workspace, but it’s all I have at the moment.

I’ll echo everyone else here, BrotherArtspira is so disappointing with no landscape mode for those of us using iPads with keyboards. Please fix it!

I agree with the post about transfer of designs. I have wireless capability but many of my friends who have Brother machines do not and they are not going to upgrade at this time. It would be nice if they could use the designs highlighted in Artspira! It would truly be outstanding customer service on Brothers part!

BrotherArtspira works very well for transferring designs to my embroidery machine. The technology works perfectly. What is badly lacking is the actual design interface. You need to know that it is extremely rudimental. It’s missing many features you would expect to see in a basic design editor. One is that there is no way to copy and paste or duplicate an element in your design. If you add an image and want more than one you will have to go look for it in the catalog again instead of easily duplicating what is already on your screen. Another shocking omission is that there is no way to draw a straight line in the drawing feature. There are many shapes to choose from but no straight line.

I signed up for the paid subscription to unlock the additional features but will not be continuing with it unless some improvements are made.

I'm hopeful that BrotherArtspira will improve in many aspects one big one is that it will be computer-compatible not just for use on mobile devices and l would like to see more free options for the free subscription. Other than that the machine is great.

It’s too difficult to use BrotherArtspira to actually draw anything. I didn’t realize to do almost anything with this machine you have to pay a subscription. It’s way too expensive. It’s alright for navigating or doing simple stuff.

This has been very hard to figure out, how to get started. I’m glad to find out that it is doable on windows, on my laptop.

Overall this is a very useful app, but it needs to be upgraded. What I mean is that there needs to be more options in the embroidery part of BrotherArtspira . For the “Design Editor” you should be able to edit your own files. For the "Drawing Tools” you should be able to zoom in closer to your image. And last for the "Image to Embroidery” there should be an option for a single stitch for digitizing conversion. Also for the "Image to Embroidery” it won’t convert to whole image into an embroidery file for some reason. It leaves out some parts of the image as well as colors too.

Recently, I have bought myself the se700 home Sewing and Embroidery machine as well as an Artspira Premium account. I’m a professional artist who creates and sells art as a living, and have been trying to expand into fiber art products. So far, I have been enjoying my investment quite a bit and have been seeing exponential support for the embroidered designs I have either created myself or invented in BrotherArtspira . But due to the way BrotherArtspira currently functions, I have severe issues with it that are staggering my creative process First of all, within the Design Editor section, there is no ability to utilize simple shapes within the design. The only designs you have access to are the ones within the Artspira Library. Meaning that if I would like to create a design that has a simple circle in the background, I either have to create a circle option within the Drawing Tools sections and embroider it on my machine before manually overlaying the rest of my design; or I need to hand draw my design in a separate program and import into BrotherArtspira . Either option creates much more work for myself, as well as plays into my second issue with BrotherArtspira . Whenever importing an image into BrotherArtspira , it has a very large problem trying to recognize and differentiate different colors. I ran into this issue when importing one of my designs and the program couldn’t tell the difference between two separate blue colors despite the two colors being quite contrasting in brightness. This is something that could be solved via using different hues and just changing each hue within BrotherArtspira once imported, but at the same time can create limitations on how many colors an imported design is able to utilize On an app that was free or had a much cheaper subscription service, these would be limitations and issues I would just accept. But I am paying $13 a month indefinitely, and considering most people barely even like to pay $10 a month for a streaming service; having such severe limitations is infuriating. Especially since the first one could be easily solved either by adding onto the Artspira library or by adding the shape tool from the Drawing Tools into the Design Editor. Sincerely, Alistair

While this application has many positive aspects, it also poses some challenges that have consumed a considerable amount of my time. Specifically, I've encountered difficulties with duplicating designs and resizing images. Currently, I'm unable to duplicate images; instead, I must upload them multiple times and manually resize each one using the plus and minus symbols. Unfortunately, there's no option to enter the precise size needed. I'm hopeful that an update addressing these issues will be released soon.

Artspira doesn’t seem to offer much in the line of creativity.

This program needs to allow you to “browse for files” since saving to “camera roll” or “photos” does not always come up on iPad pro and becomes very frustrating to work with. …dave

Would like to see a cropping feature, color selection and editing feature, add/remove objects from design, size comparison between machine and app, preview stitching, etc. Things like this would make BrotherArtspira 10x better.

I have a non wireless Brother embroidery machine. I wish BrotherArtspira had the option to export to files so I could put the file on an USB stick. Then plug it into my machine.

I would give this a 5 if I could fine tune the portrait. Still enjoying it

BrotherArtspira does the very basics, but has to up its game to justify the monthly fee. I'm a new owner of a SE-2000, so I'm giving it a chance to pr9ve BrotherArtspira adds value to the creative process.

The Disney artwork is cool, but the huge "DISNEY" text is obtrusive and detracts from the appearance of anything you might embroider. Get Disney to fix that please.

BrotherArtspira is amazing. It’s cool that I’m able to easily link my Canvas Workspace account which means I don’t have to register my machine and lose the ability to transfer via pc.

The Artspira Magazine is a great addition to BrotherArtspira as well. The only downside is you have really cute embroidery designs that I can’t use because my brother embroidery machine is not wireless lab compatible. I would love to be able to make embroidery projects using BrotherArtspira but you have no other way of transferring the files over.

This would be a welcome fix to BrotherArtspira and would definitely change my rating to five stars.

I am having trouble. I’m trying to link a NS2850D. It isn’t working.
My Scan n Cut linked up fine but not the sewing machine.

Love the free embroidery designs, editing on my iPhone, and transferring via Bluetooth. However, getting the p-900 to access my router was an exercise in patience (futility). After a week of calling (literally a week) and repeating the same identical and ineffective steps 50 times (literally 50 times), and constantly being told by the operator (I certainly wouldn’t call the people who initially answered the phone “technical support”) that someone would return my call, but didn’t, I got a very knowledge, helpful, and very knowledgeable, computer savvy tech support technician. Within 5 minutes we had the machine connected to my router (internet). We had to manually configure it on the machine. Now I’m very happy with BrotherArtspira and the machine. I was prepared to return the machine for a refund that day because repeating the stupid steps over and over with operator after operator was insanity. A week of that….!!! Seriously Brother?? Stop the madness.

I use an iPad for my main work. Please update BrotherArtspira to rotate to landscape mode for iPad users.

While I am new to embroidery I found downloading the designs quite easy. I would be nice if you would give the option of more sizes for the embroidery designs.

I love BrotherArtspira, works great with my scanncut and canvas workspace. I’m excited to see what comes out, new projects and ideas. Hee hee I gave up Pinteist and I haven’t looked back. 😁 good work Brother team keep it up you guys and gals are amazing 🎉🍾

I got this with a brother SE 2000 and have created logos on a free app, transferred them into Artspira and with adjustments made some excellent hats shirts and hoodies plus music bags for our small businesses! Things we could never have afforded and one of a kind stuff. Thanks Brother!

Researched for several months and I kept returning to the Brother sublimation printer. I love it !

Intall requires google play. Error message says google play only available on Chromebook. How do I install on windows 11???
Installed on iPhone and transferring will not subscribe unless I can install on laptop. iPhone screen too small for editing graphics!!!

I have a PE535. I just got it used and was looking for software to convert drawings to embroidery. BrotherArtspira is absolutely fantastic! It does it great, and it’s super easy to use. The problem is machine doesn’t have Bluetooth. I’m hoping one day it allows export abilities for the older machines as it truly is fantastic

Worst app ever! How come that brother makes great machines but always the worst software! Bought sdx1250 so I can sent wireless files to machine. Well guess…..you need Artspira for that. Its a nightmare wich kills your hobby. Now I read it collects my browser history? My seaching history?

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!! I plan on returning my brother SP-1 sublimation printer! I have been trying for days to download the Artspira app on my laptop. I have only been able to download on my ipad. I didn't purchase it for my ipad, I wanted to use my laptop. Trying to contact Brother support is like trying to pull teeth! I will never recommend or purchase another brother product!
