Some updates urgently needed.

Overall I find this a great 3d modeling app but just with one issue. You can set grid snaps for the angles but its limiting, You can only set it to a 15 degree angle snap or just none at all, I really think there should be the ability to customize that along with the grid snap.

BUTā€¦ The biggest issue I had with 3Dmodeling (and why Iā€™m rating it 3 stars) is that you Canā€™t change the resize snap grid!!! This means that if you want to resize all sides of the square bigger to an exact size, your gonna have to turn on shape length, and then PRECISELY adjust the size to the second decimal. Which becomes really annoying for when you let go from the screen and it changes its size due to the movement of your fingers, making it not precise at all.

I highly suggest adding this as I think it would benefit more people than just me. If this does get added, then I will happily change the 3 stars to 5 stars. Thanks!

Good, but Mostly Bad.

Just yesterday I downloaded 3Dmodeling - in hopes of designing a 3D version of a necklace Iā€™m obsessed with creating. One thatā€™s never been sold before, and yet a main character on a show wears it all the time.
The problem with that wasnā€™t the chain - I was more focused on the charm. The star (basic one. the body of the padlock thing), came out close to perfect, after hours of hard work. I then went onto the top of the lock - the curved quarter oval, as seen on most bike lock type mechanisms.
I tried the torus ( my best bet.) I edited it to be flat, but once done I couldnā€™t go back. the torus was now 2D.
Overall, there arenā€™t enough shapes to create something like the bike shown above. Youā€™d have to be very expierienced - yet Iā€™m a middle schooler, and I just wanted to have fun with it.
Then hereā€™s the real kicker - my iPad ran out of battery. 3Dmodeling sucked it right up. And the thing is - they never tell you how to save your work. So when my device restartedā€¦ my precious, half done charm was gone. Splat- dead. Forever. there isnā€™t a dashboard - at least, they donā€™t tell you about one. 3Dmodeling has a good, simple interface, but there is so much more bad than good. I do not recommend.
Merci beaucoup, 3D Modeling. (Thatā€™s sarcastic)

Amazing!

3Dmodeling has changed every thing! I just got my fist phone as a 5th grader and Iā€™ve always had a taste for 3D stuff, thatā€™s when I found 3Dmodeling! And it was game changing even though there are some stuff that could be fixed like the sculpting thing and there are some things that could be added like a shape creator to weā€™re you can create your own shape but other then that 3Dmodeling is great especially when I cainā€™t play my games when my time limit is up I can just come to this and get too work. And I do have the new iPhone 14 so I have long lasting battery so I have no battery problems. But yeah 3Dmodeling is the best so I hope they keep making updates.

By

Wow just wow

It is one of the best 3d modeling software on mobile and the interface is super intuitive 10/10 but one ā˜ļø criticism the way to extrude is not complicated but sometimes Annoying but over all please get 3Dmodeling amazing and it doesnā€™t shove adds down your throat itā€™s just an honest game if that makes sense but šŸ”Ÿ/šŸ”Ÿ go get the game now and it has a built in tutorial for all of the uses and the painting is fun

Really Good!

I really enjoy this modeling app! Its easy to get the hang of, lots of features, and itā€™s really useful. The only issue Iā€™ve been having is the ability to add models youā€™ve already made to the one you are currently working on (say you made a model of a basket and you want you add an apple model you previously made) without completely remaking it. If there is a way to do this or if a way could be added, it would be great, but the program is already very good without this. 4 stars! Very good!

By

Great app just one question

Just found 3Dmodeling and it has been going great for my, I was just wondering if I could import pictures to make the modeling process easier?

By

Why I canā€™t buy the program

I have to pay for a year and if Iā€™m working I wonā€™t have enough time to learn and create I wish the program could be for sale that way even if I donā€™t have internet I could work in any place . The program is very entertaining and can help people to cope with things in their mind from painting to creating. I wish one day it could be for sale this program even if it has adding to it

By

Pretty good! Not the easiest to follow though.

Hello! I love 3Dmodeling, I enjoy sculpting and modeling small things on here, as Iā€™m trying to practice 3D better since I enjoy it. Although, it was a bit hard to follow the tutorial, and Iā€™m still confused on quite a couple tools. Otherwise I love 3Dmodeling, I would give it a 5 if I wasnā€™t so confused on the tools, lol.

By

Missing a feature

Hi Iā€™ve used 3Dmodeling to model stuff and itā€™s been the best modeling app I've used. What 3Dmodeling needs is a live mirror mode that updates the model on both sides. There should be the option to set which axis the model is mirrored on. Thatā€™s all I have for now as a suggestion to help improve the modeling process.

By

Would love to have my money back

Even tho I only spent $5.99, I want it back. If anything just because 3Dmodeling is a total rip off and Iā€™ve been lied too by these reviews (which Iā€™m sure the developer left, thereā€™s no way people have any positive feedback about this completely unusable app) you literally cannot make anything with 3Dmodeling without previous knowledge of 3d programs. If you were hoping to LEARN this is not 3Dmodeling for you.

By

Good, but it eats up too much battery

Hi! Iā€™m Yookyung. I downloaded 3Dmodeling on a galaxy tablet s5e and 3Dmodeling is great. It doesnā€™t crash, and the shapes are really easy to move/manipulate/color. Itā€™s just that every time i use 3Dmodeling for longer than 5 minutes, at least 30% of my battery is spent.

By

Amazing modeling App

Great App, It quickly became my go to for making rough drafts before going to AutoCAD. My only critique would be not being able to import multiple models Iā€™ve made into the same file

By

Best modeling software for iphone

3Dmodeling deserves much more recognition. Based on 3Dmodeling itself i would expect it to be the first thing that pops up when looking for 3d modeling.

By

Finally a 3D modeling app with sense!

Thank you, God almighty Iā€™ve tried many and for 3D this is the one that comes closest to Blender and what Iā€™m familiar with. You Canā€™t imagine how grateful we all are.

By

Pretty solid.

Really cool, just wish I could just buy it instead of going the adobe method of subscription based. If one time purchase becomes an option, I will buy it.

By

Really great app! Needs iPad support.

I really like 3Dmodeling and what it can do. Itā€™s definitely a keeper and premium is for sure worth it. I plan on using it as a supplement to magic poser. Iā€™m waiting on an update from them that will allow imports of OBJs.

The scale of what you can create in MP is huge and I wonder how much space can I use in your app?

Could I build a huge city? Can I get isometric views of my models?

If I can get Isometric perspectives, a bigger 3D canvas and iPad support I would give this a 5 star for sure.

By

Subscription required

I wish I could just buy something and be done with it. I donā€™t want to buy the same thing over and over for a month or year at a time.
Also the xyz axis were mixed up.
Other than that seems very intuitive and could be useful.

By

Annoying but good to have

This is a strange app. Is it designed for phones? If so why? This would be so much better as a iPad app. Take advantage of the Apple Pencil and make it horizontal. The iPad needs a low poly modeling app and this could be great. Take a look at Nomad sculpt and copy the interface but for low poly.

BEST APP EVR

I just canā€™t think of another app to let out my creativity I just always play this to build funny accurate or beatifull I just love it šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©

just a new model idea

So I really like ps1 graphics and I would like if you added a ps1 character model with multiple parts to edit. just to make it a bit fun for me yeah.

By

Do not get this, please.

Let me start off with something that REALLY made me mad, itā€™s the fact that when i was done doing this tutorial, it would freeze for like 10 seconds and it crashed, i donā€™t know why this happened because iā€™m running iOS 16 (latest software right now) so there is no way this should be happening unless itā€™s 3Dmodeling itself, it could be the iPad that iā€™m running this on (iPad Air 4th generation) but iā€™m not sure if this iPad is even that old to just start crashing, plus itā€™s only when i run 3Dmodeling soo yeah, i think itā€™s definitely 3Dmodeling .
This also WAYYY to difficult to use, I donā€™t even know how to use some of the features on here even though i did the tutorial like 3 times, the only thing i could do was just making a top-hat using the cylinder tool, so if youā€™re looking for simple stuff, try something else.
The only thing i like about 3Dmodeling is the fact that i donā€™t have to sign in just to make 3D models.
Anyways, Instead of using 3Dmodeling, you should get Minima Sculptor for free, itā€™s easy to use once you get the hang of it, either that, or you get Paint 3D for Windows (i think itā€™s only available on windows 10 and 11 though), but if you donā€™t have a Windows computer, then get 3Dmodeling I mentioned before, ITā€™S WAYY BETTER. Trust me, and and trust this review.

Definitely donā€™t recommend

I tried this because I thought it might be fun I was so wrong. My first peeve was the mechanics they were so annoying because you canā€™t just normally turn the camera and with the navigation you can get lost so easily. I also didnā€™t like the fact that there was no female presets for full bodies and no male presets for just the head and i tried sticking the female head to the full body but that was impossible because of my third problem . My third problem was that the move tool while sculpting just made the and look wavy and not human in the slightest. Another thing that bothered me was the paint tool because sometimes when you try to paint one pixel another pixel will be painted at the same time and itā€™s not just the pixels right next to it itā€™s the pixel 5 pixels away
And it make it seem like the developers were too lazy to make assets for all of the pieces and they just copied some put them in other places and moved on it makes the game seem cheaply made and lazy. Anyway if you want a tool thatā€™s easy to use this is definitely not for you

By

Absolutely amazing

He second I got 3Dmodeling I already knew it was going to be amazing. And the fact that you can make models on ipad/iPhone is amazing the modeling is great especially the materials for the texture. Thereā€™s just one thing I would love to have I donā€™t know if you already have it though a bone tool where you could stretch something or do what ever and put it on the model and get as many as you want, and press some type of submit some button or something and than pose the parts of the places you put the bones. Other than that great app 5/5!

Pretty good, missing some things

So first things first Iā€™m a beginner to the 3D world, so things are naturally gonna fly over my head, but so far this is by far the best modeling app on the iPhone. Itā€™s incredibly simple and intuitive to use and navigate, especially as a newbie.

That being said, a few things i still find missing:
ā€¢ Layer manangmet.
My life would be a lot easier if I had a layer panel to manage objects and hide/unhide things.
Also object grouping *without* combining them. Itā€™s a bit of a hassle to do multi-select when you have a bunch of things going on.

ā€¢ Full on material editor panel.
The existing materials are pretty good! However I would actually like to make my own sometimes, even if only basic color and spec tuning.

ā€¢ Lighting.
Iā€™d love to have some control over the lighting positioning/color/radius.

ā€¢ Accurate measuring.
You have to try your best to guesstimate how far you want to scale/extrude/rotate etc. things around. Would be great if you had an additional UI for accurate numeral input.

(Iā€™ll probably provide more feedback and edit things on this review as I go along and figure things out)

Overall tho 3Dmodeling is great, good job guys.

Simple and functionalā€¦ mostly

I donā€™t use the paid version of 3Dmodeling since the free version has been functional enough for my needs so far.
Today, however, a weekā€™s worth of work went to waste when I accidentally deleted my 3D object and the undo function would not bring it back. I had attempted undo immediately after it happened but it was gone. All of the work I was about a day away from exporting (a function you have to pay for) just GONE in a stupid, easy mistake. Iā€™m infuriated that something as stupid as an undo button ruined my entire project.
If youā€™re going to use 3Dmodeling for important projects, especially on your phone, donā€™t let your finger slip or it might disappear into the void.

Tutorial

I really like using 3Dmodeling as a beginner because I really want to get to 3-D art and I do not have access to a computer at the time but this is doing me a lot of good but I also have a lot of problems with the tutorials and knowing how things work because as you know, Iā€™m a beginner so I need a lot of practice and I am having trouble tutorials because after I look at them one time and exit out I donā€™t seem to get them back so I was wondering is there a way to get the tutorials back or is that just not a thing?

As a person who ā™„ļøŽ modeling...

GEEZ! I love modeling, I love tiny, I love creating! This works out so well. Never crashes always saves. Easy to use and fold and bend and use. Pretty simple! One thing, everytime I insert an image like to create posters, wallpaper, flooring, bed covering ect WHATEVER. It works! My image isn't foggy, it isn't glitched, it isn't horrible it's exactly the way i took the picture. But when i exit out 3Dmodeling , reload it and come back in, the image is gone! I reload and reload and it won't pop back up! Is there a way to fix this? Because I don't want to have one simple color and not designs.

Great Light Modeling

This is really what Iā€™ve been looking for to do some light modeling. Some parts take some getting used to and some tools are tricky, but it works great and makes fairly clean models. I even transferred in and out of Maya with no problems.
Most importantly I can use reference images and they stay fixed in place unlike the critical missing feature of Forger were the reference image moves with the perspective camera.
Still havenā€™t used UV mapping or too much materials and textures yet, but seems pretty good so far.

Best 3D Modeling App on iPhone

5/5 stars. I have very few criticisms. Itā€™s very easy to use and itā€™s not required to pay for premium. The possibilities are endless for what you can make. Iā€™m looking forward to lighting being added and I hope that in the future they will add a few more shapes and preexisting models maybe even a feature to change the line color so you can see the models a little better without coloring over it. Iā€™ve spent many hours working on models and I donā€™t plan on stopping anytime soon. Amazing app :)

By

App RUINED by LACK of possibilities

I was looking for a 3d modeling app, cuz I really liked that kind of stuff, andā€¦ BOOM 3Dmodeling came up. It had a bunch of 5 star ratings, but I donā€™t see how it gets those stars. For starters, my game crashed 10 seconds after I got it, and the tutorial seemed more confusing than the DIY part. Also I expected models the game made with such as an apple, or a house, or maybe a carā€¦ BUT NO. When I tried to make something of my own, all I got was a square, and I could barely even do anything with it. And there was no way to copy an object either so that you had two squares. If 3Dmodeling doesnā€™t do something about the problems, 3Dmodelingā€™s days of 5 stars will be numbered. 3Dmodeling is building its own coffin at this point.

By

Heads

Need ability to keep reference eye sphere while modeling head around it. Lock feature tries. Everything else is great. Found navigation without a graphical gizmo works. In nomad sculpt the gizmo is great on larger iPad screens but not on iPhone. I like this is designed more for an iPhone screen. Can work out ideas while out and about. Donā€™t care for subscriptions but may pay for a month to support development. I think itā€™s nearly there as a phone tool. Adding layers, a full gizmo and other features would be nice for a tablet/computer replacement.

By

Not bad - Ive found it helpful

Iā€™ve 3Dmodeling handy for mocking up quick basic shapes - which I then import into Nomad sculpt for the rest of the work flow.

The file system is very confusing. Renaming doesnā€™t appear to work. I also can no longer find the obj file I exportedā€¦ I successfully did it with several models but now I canā€™t figure out how I did or where the files went.

Also 3Dmodeling needs a ā€œlasso selectā€ for points, lines and surfaces - individually picking is tedious (Iā€™ve used the grow to some effect, but also would be incredibly helpful.

By

Thought it would be goodā€¦

This is an overall good game, but I think it needs a few improvements. I thought this would be a good app to start creating Roblox marketplace items, but the import/export is a pro feature. Please change that. Another thing is, I looked all throughout 3Dmodeling Store and found all kinds of other apps, and this was the best one. Iā€™m disappointed in how 3Dmodeling actually works. The controls are too confusing. The things i actually need are premium. Iā€™ll probably still delete it and go the extra step to get an actual modeling program.

By

Notice before you start working!

3Dmodeling is great, I had no trouble making some pretty neat looking sunglasses and a head, and Iā€™ve never modeled anything before. HOWEVER, AND I MEAN HOWEVERRRR if youā€™re not looking to purchase anything (like myself), you should be certainly aware that you have to PAY TO EXPORT. exporting your work as a .obj (or any export, I didnā€™t try the flat image type) requires you to have premium. I think thatā€™s kinda ridiculous, considering thatā€™s a very basic necessity. Who makes a model just to let it sit in 3Dmodeling ? Most people will export it to something more professional or put it in a game.

By

Total Rip-Off! Donā€™t Buy This App.

I purchased the optional in-app purchase which was supposed to expand the functionality of 3Dmodeling . I use 3Dmodeling to sketch up basic 3 models when I am away from my rendering/modeling rig and itā€™s essential that I can use features like smoothing and dividing without limitations. However, even since I bough the in app addition, it still tells me that I have too many division/fractals/squares and they canā€™t complete the division or smoothing. What garbage. Iā€™m considering buying a Microsoft Surface Tablet or an IPad Pro (or carry around a cheap laptop) because this is not a viable option.

By

amazing potential lost

Had a thought 3Dmodeling would be pointless considering the subscription shown in the beginning stating you couldnā€™t save your creations to your device/export anywhere without it, but decided to try it out anyway. made some of my best 3D models here as a beginner, but like I initially thought it is unfortunate I have 0 use for them since the only way to use them would be to pay a subscriptionā€¦extremely disappointing. I wouldnā€™t mind ads if it meant the 3D models could be exported and used for literally anything but no. Or maybe if it was a one time purchase type app..pretending to be free is annoying..you canā€™t do anything with your 3D models except look at them i guess. :/

By

Great But itā€™s fair share of issues

I am new to 3D Modeling 3Dmodeling helped out so much. I would recommend it to any new person to 3D Modeling App. Someone who doesnā€™t know much about it but wants to get into it. This is a must for anyone in that category but has issues like I donā€™t know if you can round out like the edge of an object like a square and if you can rent out the edges but I donā€™t think you can cause I donā€™t remember anything in the tutorial that said that. And that is super annoying when Iā€™m trying to create something specific and thereā€™s one more when I try to duplicate or delete an object sometimes it wonā€™t do it. It just wonā€™t do anything which is really annoying sometimes but overall is a must for everyone who is new to 3D Modeling App

By

I love the experience of 3D modeling app!

Iā€™m delighted to share my positive experience with the 3D Modeling app. 3Dmodeling truly stands out with its exceptional capabilities, allowing users to model a wide array of objects effortlessly. The intuitive interface and powerful features make it a go-to choice for both beginners and seasoned designers. The variety of tools and customization options provide endless creative possibilities. 3Dmodeling ā€™s smooth performance and regular updates enhance the overall user experience. A definite 5-star rating for anyone looking to unleash their creativity in the world of 3D modeling!

Unusable (and probably a russian spy)

3Dmodeling is completely unusable. It has a function where you can edit the X, Y, and Z variables of a line or face, however you can only edit one of them and to try to edit the rest you have to somehow change it to make it light up in the corner. Sometimes this is completely impossible, especially with the Z axis. Another thing is the extrude tool, which will sometimes give you a result you expect, and sometimes be 0.1 off of whatever you put in. Cubes are impossible to manipulate as they never scale correctly, and when you extrude them, the new face is almost always a slightly different size, making perpendicular angles impossible to achieve at times. Putting two objects flush with each other is completely undoable. Even when you set the 2 objects to the same size and put the same Y value in for their positioning, one will always be above the other. Try it with a new object, and youā€™ll get a third height. Sometimes 3Dmodeling will randomly change languages to russian. Bad app.

I LOVE the app!!!

I just got 3Dmodeling and so far itā€™s working really cool Iā€™ve made a few sculptures so far and idk if itā€™s just me and it probably is but for where you can select a model I wish for there to be a female model more and itā€™s not too much of a problem as I can just alter the shape a bit and it looks good but it would safe a bit of time and hopefully the lighting comes soon so I can work with that! Thereā€™s no big problems and it works smoothly I would definitely recommend this for sculpting or just doing it when bored. 10/10 and I love how you can import references itā€™s a nice touch but sometimes they come upside down šŸ˜…but I can always flip it and sometimes donā€™t always show up šŸ„²

By

Super cool definitely recommend.

Thank you so much for fixing the problem where every time I save something with colors it changes back to white now that it doesnā€™t I have changed it to a five star rating super cool app.(to the people that havenā€™t downloaded 3Dmodeling)=> 3Dmodeling is definitely recommended for the people who havenā€™t downloaded 3Dmodeling it is really fun and donā€™t worry if you donā€™t know how to model it gives you a tutorial for everything 3Dmodeling is cool you Should download it but if you donā€™t want to then thatā€™s fine.

By

Truly incredible, highly capable

This ran fine on my iPhone SE 2020, and is lightning fast on my iPhone 15 Pro. 3Dmodeling is great for those of us who want to do some 3d modeling on the go. It can be learned in about 20 minutes for those of us coming from Blender or Max. It also has an enormous library of high quality stock assets.

From what I can tell this is the "killer app" for hard surface 3d modeling on iPhone/ipad.

By

So a few things need to be stated

So i got 3Dmodeling looking for a app to import things into my photos and videos and 3Dmodeling is really really advanced and hard to use but i didnā€™t see any way to import it into my actual photos and videos so im deleting 3Dmodeling but I think the developers should add a duplicate button but it seemed like a nice app so i wanted to leave a review but if you want to make a really advanced object or digital thing for friends to look at i would recommend 3Dmodeling but you need to practice for a while to get the hang of 3Dmodeling im sure. šŸ‘

Constant crashing

I use an ipad air, and when i was using this it kept crashing my ipad. When i first downloaded 3Dmodeling and tried to get on it froze the screen, the video i had on in the background kept playing and i had to shut the ipad down to get it to work again. Then i started using 3Dmodeling (thinking it was a flunk or something) which i think is pretty good some things arent as intuitive as they should be but it would be alright if it didn't crash right as i was trying to find out how to delete stuff and how to lower transparency on reference images. I also had to fully power the ipad down again to get it to work again. and i want to remind you that this isn't just 3Dmodeling kicking me out or freezing momentarily, it fully freezes and makes device unusable until i make it shut down.

By

pretty good, but theres a LOT of stuff locked behind premium

im pretty much brand new to 3d modeling, just using this to make things easier for drawing my comic. so far it works great. rotating flat objects can be a bit annoying but thats likely because again, iā€™m brand new to this. the only real problem i have is that itā€™s advertised as a free app, but when you go to add an asset, each category only allows you to use two models if you donā€™t pay for premium. to be fair itā€™s actually fairly cheap all things considered, iā€™m just kind of broke haha. but yeah other than that it seems to be pretty great so far, and i appreciate that the creators seem to look at and respond to the problems people encounter in the reviews

By

Itā€™s amazing BUT

3Dmodeling needs an export section, canā€™t seem to find mine.

One of the best apps but one issue I have is with texture overlay. It tends to make the skin texture unusable and rotated. Canā€™t seem to figure out how to fix it. The UV selection option doesnā€™t make much difference either. Might need a tutorial for overlaying a texture.

Thank you for the response and canā€™t wait to see what you guys have in stores for the future.

By

High potential high crashing

so i RARELY ever review on 3Dmodeling store, but 3Dmodeling is just so incredibly helpful and honestly simple for newbies and its just so easy when you get used to it, i couldnā€™t not leave a review. though it has itā€™s flaws of course. mainly for me, it being crashing, especially when painting or attempting to duplicate a simple model. ( which may be perhaps because of my high triangle count of 15k~) if you can somehow up the triangle count and make it crash less, (i use iphone 11) it would make it a 5 start experience and make life easier. but with that, its a good easy app to use.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP!!!

I have some little characters I made when I was really young and for so long I have been trying to explain what they might look like in 3D and 3Dmodeling is easy to make them in! I tried other apps, but nothing works as good as 3Dmodeling. Now that I have it, I enjoy using it! I would recommend 3Dmodeling to people who want to do 3D modeling (or 3D animation) because it is easy to learn and the quality is smooth with lighting and stuff. So if anyone is interested in that stuff, this may be the best choice.
