🏷️ About:
Posture Pal helps you improve your neck and shoulder posture by using the motion sensors in your headphones. Improve your neck, shoulder and back posture without having to purchase a separate tracking device.
Great animations, nice looking interface. But on a mac airpods pro 2 - it doesn't have any link to the real head position, giving absolutely random results, popping up when I sit straight, does nothing when I hunch over
Promising, but seems broken currently

PosturePal works, and it’s a wonderful idea.
Unfortunately, after subscribing to premium, I’m unable to change any settings or access themes through either of the buttons on the main screen. Hoping an update can fix this.
Super glitchy

PosturePal constantly glitches, wouldn’t push notifications or haptic feedback, and there’s no additional information regarding your posture. Wont continue using
NOT WORKING

I have gone through the interfasing and I purchased the posture pals for 4.99$ but I cannot get past that screen after I purchased them. I am not sure where I can even get a refund for my 4.99$.....
Trying to customize PosturePal , but it will not load to allow any customization.
Good concept, but buggy.

When I open PosturePal the bottom section with the timer and start button will shrink and expand non-stop. It gets completely hidden, making it difficult to use and change settings.
It’s not about posture

It won’t tell you if your slouching. All it does is tells you when your head is down…
Notifications sound

Love the idea of small developers and paying for services like this but I have no idea what I’m looking at after I track my posture. It notifies you during bad posture but I’m not exactly sure who to correct so I fidget in my chair for a minute and the giraffe head confused me when trying to line it up straight
Unique, but I’m not sure if it helps with slouching

This is a very cool app and unique in utilizing the AirPod. Here the thing. I can technically still slouch and have bad posture without PosturePal alerting me.
I sat at my table with normal posture. To look at my laptop, I naturally have to look downward. That alerted PosturePal . But if I keep my head leveled and slouch my shoulders, nothing happens.
I’m not sure how you would go about fixing or adding that functionally, but because of that I don’t think I would use PosturePal
Good app, but still has some bugs

Unfortunately there are times where I can’t start tracking my posture even though my airpods pro are connected and in my ear. The airdrop logo also turns light blue signaling I’m connected but the tracking button remains grey and unsusable
It doesn't work

I've granted the program access and also put on the AirPods, but the button "start tracking " is always grey ,I can't turn it on ,why?

I have the right AirPods, but it’s not letting me use it. It’s a great app I don’t know if it’s a bug or something wrong on my end but still
Good concept

I love PosturePal concept, and the Mac support. PosturePal works pretty well with my AirPods 3, but doesn’t work well with my AirPods Pro 2. With the Pros, I’m sitting straight up and it’s still constantly nagging me to correct my posture.

When I saw PosturePal I was so excited. But then I realized that my AirPods were too outdated, so I’m really disappointed. But I’m saving up for a new AirPods so that I can have the motion sensors because PosturePal could literally change my life. Amazing concept and adorable too, I just don’t have the right AirPods for this.
Creative, but…

Does it work? I don’t know. It’s sensitive to every little change in my head movement. If I look down to take a bite of food, bend over to pick something up, or anything else where my head is down it sends an alert.
It might be better if it didn’t notify until it has been a few seconds.
Also, as others have mentioned, I can slouch and have my shoulders up as long as my head is level. This is simply a limitation of motion tracking, but maybe there is something you can come up with to help improve this aspect.
One more thing, app is super buggy on my iPhone 14 Pro. The icons for settings and themes in the top corners do not respond when tapped, when trying to set a custom angle, the menu closes out (works again after resetting PosturePal ), and posture tracking sensitivity is grayed out (not sure if this is a bug).
I would love to see more of a professional theme added. As much as I love the cute graphics, something less cutesy might be nice at times. Different sound and vibration options could also be useful and I would love to see an Apple Watch app to easily track time and angle, receive notifications, and start/stop sessions.
Overall, it’s a fun app and I will continue to use it for a bit and see what I think in the long term.

PosturePal does a great job at what it does, which is keep track of my posture through use of AirPods. It doesn’t interfere with current audio playing and keeps me from slouching all day at my desk. The only thing on my wishlist? Please make it compatible with VisionOS (just port the existing app over) so I can correct my posture while using the Vision Pro. Thank you!
Hey - great work! Any chance to support Apple Watch?

I have an incapacitating mental illness so I rely on technology to feel accepted and valid as a human being. PosturePal has helped me so much already in various ways from reducing anxiety levels to just feeling normal again. I cannot really put this into perspective as to how much of a blessing PosturePal has been for me. I hope the developer understands how important and valuable PosturePal truly is.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you 🥹🙏
Works perfectly for Airpods Pro 1

Good to find the macOS version is available. This is more useful for me since I typically connect Airpods to Mac instead of iPhone while I am sitting at the desk.
A minor suggestion: the pals are cute, but would be great if we can add our own characters. It doesn't need to be very easy to use (creating good animation is hard, anyway), but I am interested to try out, if it's using Live2D or something similar.

It would be great if the vibration is on Apple Watch when available.
Been waiting for a Mac version of this great app!

Originally tried the iOS counterpart because I loved the idea, but since I always have my headphones connected to my Mac when working, I was really hoping for a Mac version.
Really happy to have this app on my Mac now! It's working really well with my AirPods Max and I just love the whimsical, playful UI. It gets your attention - in a friendly way - without being too distracting. Perfect 👌
This is definitely the best new app I tried in the past year. I’m not sure if AirPods API provides accelerometer’s data. Maybe you could consider those data in vertical axis to detect if users has bad posture like slouching. Anyway, PosturePal is already helpful for me.

I usually don’t write reviews for apps but PosturePal got everything for free that you’d use it for which is really sweet so no extra free costs unless u really wanna spend 5$

Love this. Works great. So simple. Wish I could change the noise as sometimes I don’t notice, because it sounds like it’s apart of the music I’m listening too.
