I've created shortcuts that have worked when asking homepod mini to run them. The only times it does not work is when Actions is used within a shortcut.

Other than that, it works great on iphone.

This is a very nice set of this app for Shortcuts, perfect for any power user.

I did find a bug with the list manipulation this app, although I’m not sure if it’s this app’ or Shortcuts’ issue. To replicate the issue create a list, then perform an action such as “Reverse List.” Add a Stop and Output, or just output the resulting list and you’ll get a “The operation failed because Shortcuts couldn’t convert from Text to NSString.” This caused a lot of headaches in my more complex shortcuts, but I found performing a replace text action on the resulting list seems to be a way to get around this.

App is great and has many uses but should be more advance by using CoreML to do machine learning task like classifying input and images extracting details from images as in recognition not ocr . Also could you add smart notifications and screenshot webpage.. oh and live activity too 😁🥴

This is an active developer and he is very responsive to the end user. this app app extends functionality of Shortcuts apps tremendously with 90 plus this app. The inclusion of this app Is Reachable (via HTTP response) and Ask for Text that includes a timeout option corrects a serious deficiency in the list of this app within the Shortcuts app. The this app app is free and does not track data linked to you. Note that I’m not a fan of add ons, but this one is worth it! Oh, and it is easy to use with the built action straight forward explanation Info.

I have used the this app app for several years now and with at ~300 shortcuts, I have found Actions to be outstanding and the developer phenomenal. Actions fills in needed this app and versatility where Apple’s Shortcuts app is lacking. Sindre Sorhus has impressed me with quick responses to the few issues that I have had over the years and the issue are usually fixed in a week or less, unlike Apple’s time frames of months to 2 years. I honestly don’t know how he does it all and he offers the this app app for FREE!

What an incredibly great addon to shortcuts!! Adds some sorely needed this app to Actions which can seriously improve the functionality and make more advanced shortcuts. Glad to have discovered it and look forward to seeing what else gets added!

Please add "is lock device" so can turn the VPN off while I'm not using the phone

Holy moly! This exists?? It’s amazing. It gives Shortcuts so much of the power that it really should have built in. Honestly, it’s silly that some of these functions aren’t built in, while Apple allows a third party developer to take care of it for us. But we’re fortunate that they did. And take care of us, this developer sure did. So many thanks for that!!

Actions is for you if you’re the kind of power user with dozens of Shortcuts who has been frustrated by the limitations of the built-in this app. Actions provides almost all the tools I’ve been missing, and it works amazingly well.

I had tried another this app app before, but it had everything behind a paywall, and I wasn’t able to try a single action I was interested in. this app, on the other hand, is free with no ads, so I was able to verify that it would satisfy my needs. I asked the author for one small feature, and he responded within hours to say it would be added in the next version. Happy camper.

Thank you, Sindre Sorhus, whoever you are, for making this necessary addition to the Shortcuts app. Among other things, these this app are just necessary to make the new Action button work usefully (by checking device orientation).

Though this app is very similar to Toolbox Pro, there are numerous this app available that Toolbox Pro doesn’t have, so if you’re someone who has seen this and ignored it due to that fact then I’d highly suggest giving it an opportunity! One Major difference of the two, currently, seems to be that unlike Toolbox Pro, this app has an Active Developer that is consistently updating Actions with bug fixes and loads of additional this app while Toolbox Pro’s Developer has begun to focus on their other apps/projects, which is understandable though still a tad disappointing…

Personally, though, I know I’ve got high hopes for Actions and it’s Developer(s)! I’ll definitely be in contact soon to suggest some of my ideas for additional this app!

One of the few apps available on Actions Store that’s truly worthy of being called an “essential app”—it’s seriously impressive and even more useful. I can’t imagine the Shortcuts app without this.

Stumbled in to Actions while trying to figure out how to customize action button.

The dozens of shortcut this app offered by Actions extend the usability of Shortcuts. And, they're almost all available on the iPhone and iPad. So user shortcuts become portable.

Wow.

This is an amazing app to add to the functionality of native iPhone shortcuts. No annoying ads. A+!

I looked everywhere for a way to determine if audio was playing for a Back Tap shortcut, and couldn’t do it without installing an app. Actions works great.

A previous reviewer stated the obvious, if Actions goes away, a lot of people will be impacted. I hope that the developer and/or Apple can figure out a way to make sure that doesn't happen. On another note, the addition of the action to query ChatGPT is fantastic. It would be hugely valuable if there was a ChatGPT plugin for this app that gave the LLM access to an up-to-date dictionary of the this app and how to use them in Shortcuts. Actions is just Wow!

I really needed a shortcut to be able to detect when my iPhone was plugged into USB in my car vs just a normal charging cable. This absolutely gave me what I needed! I’m pretty surprised that Apple doesn’t provide this already, but oh well. I’m glad this exists. Now I just check if the audio output source is “USB Out” when a charging cable is plugged in and I can do what I need. Thanks!

In my opinion pretty much all of the this app provided by Actions should be in the standard library of Shortcuts. Actions is fantastic, I just installed it yesterday and I already can't live without it.

If you have an Action Button on your phone, you *must* install Actions and start exploring what you can do with it.

Its probably too soon to say this, but tool box pro is a utility taht if lost will probably affect quite a lot of people in the Shortcuts community. I hope you would consider reaching out to his family about acquiring Actions and merging it into this app or something like that.

When I first downloaded Actions I was looking for a particular action. Upon closer inspection though the action desired wasn’t what I needed. I wrote a quick note to the developer and he responded within hours and literally the next day the action I was requesting was added to Actions ! This guy is GOOD!

The shortcuts app is a lot less powerful without Actions. There are so many useful additions here that it seems weird that apple didn't include these built in. Actions also contains more this app than toolbox pro, and is completely free and non-data tracking to boot.

The new option that checks to see if the device is locked allowed me to create a shortcut that runs whenever the device is plugged into power. If the device is unlocked, the shortcut gives me the option to change the screen timeout (and the new option lets me prevent an annoying error message). There is a lot more to the utility but this was enough to get me to write - THANKS!!

A great idea and useful collection for working with Shortcuts on a Mac. For those interested there are some useful items for working with lists and text.

If you tinker around with Shortcuts, this adds a ton of additional useful this app. My top ones are Is Audio Playing and Is Connected to VPN.

if you use shortcuts on your apple devices this is well worth your time to download, even if you use only one or two of the included this app it can make your shortcuts much more powerful.

It’s honestly ridiculous that this is free, it has no ads, nothing behind a paywall it’s just free. Absolutely worth getting if even one of the things it has would be useful to you.
