Why do I bother improving my team

First season was tough. Only won a couple of games, that’s normal. As I got used to the game and was able to build my team up, I reached a bowl game my second season, first with a rookie QB. I understood we overachieved, but despite improving at every position and upgrading my staff, 3rd season we flopped and I went 4-7. Next season hoping for a bounce back as I once again improved pretty much every position. Nope once again lost more games than I won despite having a better overall than nearly all my opponents. The plays they give you to call often force you to choose formations that don’t beat suit your team. I have 3 elite corners and haven’t been given the choice to use a nickel defense in 3 weeks. Always getting suggestions to run 4 LBs despite that being my weakest position. Now on year 5 my all conference QB as a senior is still throwing as many picks as TDs in half his games, nobody is playing better despite year over year improvement to the overall team score, each game still feels like a coin flip. I understand having randomness makes the game more interesting, and I give the game 1.5 stars because the interface of actually building the team is fun enough to keep me playing. But I will get worn out putting the effort in to make the team better and certainly won’t be spending any money on bonus stuff if it does not feel like any of it will actually lead to my team playing better

Things change

It is a fun game to play. I’ve been playing since it was in beta. I have three main issues with the game. There are glitches at times with purchases, recruiting points, scores, etc., but my biggest complaint is the game has gotten extremely hard to get recruits. I was paying for the season pass each season to get recruiting points. $5 every two days, but it is no longer worth it. It’s like the algorithm changed and it is not allowing me to recruit as well as I could before. Buying the season pass no longer helps get a good year of recruits. Second issue… Multiple times I have purchased the season pass and been charged double or triple what I should have been charged. There is no one to call to correct it. Third… it is impossible for me to get 800 receiving yards each by two different running backs. You cannot progress past the Metro USA conference without this. I am now stuck in this conference and have been for some time now so it’s stale with the issues I am having. I was paying a minimum of $15 a week to play and now refuse to spend any more because it’s overcharging me at times, there is no longer a benefit and it is not helping me to advance. I do still play, but only as a time killer at this point because there is nothing to go for and I can’t get better anymore the way the recruiting has changed.

Challenging and has potential

This game has potential to be great. It is extremely challenging which makes it fun but at the same time extremely frustrating. I am on my 4th season. I have talent now but still lose a lot. Field goals need to be fixed. I have a 3 star kicker that cant kick a 10-30 yard field goal. Thats weird. Transfer portal would be nice. Very hard to collect all your missing players in recruiting. Even if you buy the season pass. I have bought the season pass and disappointed. I wont be buying it again unless something changes. It only last one season in the game. I am not sure what plays to pick on offense or defense. Not sure if it even matters much. Would be cool to be able to have player meetings similar to the press conference. Off season workouts so players get better when they return the next season. And more trainers. I upgrades to the level 2 trainer and I actually like the level 1 better. Level 2 does not level up the qb much. Would be nice to have game time decisions. I just sit my phone down while the game goes on. Mostly pick it up to a loss haha. Game time decisions like going for the 4th down or on side kick. Maybe talk and give some encouragement to the players. The injuries are not realistic.

Update: played my 5th season. Best team by far I have had and I had the most losses in a season. 2 wins was all. This game is starting to feel like its designed for you to lose. Not playing again until there is an update which I hope there is.

Please make it easier to win games.

I think this game has great potential. The gameplay all works well but my biggest problem is it’s almost impossible to consistently be good. Obviously when I first started I lost most of my games, but I was slowly getting better. By my 6th season I had a really good roster with both my defensive and offensive rating at about 31, and I finished with a record of 10-1 and then went on to win my bowl game. I was very excited because all the time I had spent was finally paying off. I went into next season with even better ratings of about 33 on both sides, and finished with a record of 9-2 and then once again one my bowl game. I was a little surprised that I didn’t do better but I didn’t think much of it. I also had a shutout that game. Now I am more than halfway through the season with a offensive rating of 32 and a defensive rating of 36, both of which are higher than any other team. But for some reason I still am sitting at a 5-3 record. I need to more shutouts to advance conferences, which should be easy because I have by far the best defense in the league, but for some reason and can barely even win games. I think that there should be more of an impact on how high rated a team you are. A clearly better rated team should have a much higher chance of winning. Or maybe their could be an added difficulty feature. Either way this game can be really fun and has a lot of potential.

Main issues

Im in my 6th season and i think the game is good but it can be great if the fix these issues. So my team made it to 2 bowl games back to back but got 50 hung on me in both games because the comp is far superior that’s not my problem because my team is 30/30 and the other team is like 35/32 so it makes sense, I said that to say my team isn’t trash or bad before i dive into the issues. The problems with recruiting is the players that I’ve heavily invested in and get the the high 80s decline to sign more often and the ones around 40s/50s/60s sign more often and it’s frustrating because I heavily recruit the position that I desperately need and it sets me back when that happens. Another problem is special teams I recruited a good kicker and punter and got them both to above a 30 overall but my kicker proceeds to miss more kicks than he makes and my punter consistently punts 4 yards. Please add a feature to where you can skip the game I'm not trying to watch it if the coach goin call the one play that doesn’t work over and over and my kicker constantly miss kicks it’s just not interesting to look at especially if my team is way better than the competition. Please add a feature to where you can scout both offense and defense because only being able to do one is unrealistic and ties into the play calling and gameplay

Amazing Concept! I wish vs I need

This game has been so much fun. So much so that it’s gotten me in trouble with my fiancé as I have barely been able to remove my eyes from the screen. I personally love building football teams and as someone who knows the nature of the business from the inside as well as out, this has been pretty cool! Now with that being said I have a list of I wish’s, as well as needs in order to continue to be glued to this for the long haul. First of all I wish there was a way for players to transfer! It makes it more difficult and rewarding if they stay bases off a couple merits. Coaching Philosophy, winning and Playing time. I need there to be game play of some level, if not in game adjustments. It pisses me off when I’ve passed 63 times in a game and did not run it once. Also goes hand-in-hand with play calling and setting the playbook for the week. Need more diversity in the playbook. I wish there were more accurate weights and that you could redshirt more than freshmen. I wish that scouting was more customizable. I need there to be better rewards based off of seasonal performance. I should not be going into the next season with the same tools I had last season, if I’ve won a bowl. Doesn’t make any sense. I’m sure there’s more, but that’s the basics for now! Thank y’all so much for making this!

Amazing but a few problems

I just want to say that I absolutely love this game. I was looking for a game to wait for Bald. The new NCAA football game came out, so I found this I was expecting it to be cheaply, made and not very fun and just be fun for about 30 minutes. But no, this game was absolutely amazing. I’ve been playing this almost nonstop over all of my other games this game is just what I was looking for in terms of rebuilding Going onto the things that I would change number one call Momma make it so you can earn more recruiting points throughout the season like if you win a game you get recruiting points or the chess gives more recruiting points I’ve often found that I cannot for create some of my team needs occasionally because there are not enough recruiting points to go around for everyone

Number to I’d really like the game to have just appear stimulation mode and not have a play-by-play. If it would just send the whole game that would make rebuilds a lot faster.

Into my final point that I wish that this game had a little bit more of what is in the earlier stages having battles between the different teams instead of just having you try to get this one guy to recruit. I wish it was kind of a little bit more like the NCAA games where you have to fight for a player This game deserve so much more love for a mobile college game this game is simply amazing. In a few more things would make it the best football game on the platform

You’ll be hooked for a long time, room for improvement

This is hands down the best dynasty-building game for any football experience. Download now, you won’t regret it I played this game for a while, I did delete it tho but I will say it was fun while I kept it. I realized that you really either have to put money into the game, or spend A LOT of time in it. It took me about 15 seasons before I won my first bowl game in the lowest division. There are times when I should be clearly ahead of the curve in the division. Recruiting 3/5 top 5 talents, for 2-3 years in a row, with all top 2/3 star talent around them. No reason why majority of all teams are giving me a run for my money on gameday, sometimes even losing a matchup that I should clearly win. (My 39pt offense scoring less than 14 on a 24pt defense or vice versa). I even have top tier trainers & coordinators for the division. All of these things take seasons of grinding to get if you don’t want to spend money. So to put in so much time & still lose games when you should be stomping the competition is a bit annoying. I wish you could adjust plays after each qtr. that would be a huge benefit on gameday, rather than being so limited with options during halftime. That detail alone would make everything 10x better in my opinion. Overall very fun game. Super close to having me hooked to buy the full version & stick around long term

Work in progress

I have lots of good things to say about this game but we’ll skip that and go straight to the main problems. These other teams are juggernauts. My “overall” is higher than theirs after a few seasons in and still getting blown out most games. One main thing is we should be able to scout offense and defense instead of having to choose one or the other. Especially if the difficulty is this high. A lot of times the play calls don’t match up with what you scouted and it leaves me picking plays I already know won’t work, especially on offense. Echoing the trainers problem too, lots of positions get left behind because of the options given to train. Choosing scout start place would be nice as well. I’ve noticed too, some potions of desperate need are scarce on the map. I needed a couple RB and there was only one on the map and it was a 1 star. I agree kicks, punts, are a little wonky.

Gameplay overall is great. Very smooth. Easy to work and understand. I like the depth of everything too, not too much but also let’s you dive in to more than just recruit, train and play. (Off-season training would be wonderful). I take notes on players and recruits trying to field the best team based on their abilities, but the difficulty and scouting/choosing plays is holding it back a little bit. Very close to a perfect game

Good game, easy to spend a lot of time. Some room for improvement

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. I’ve spent a lot of time and candidly some money. However, there are a few recommendations I would have the first recommendation is changing the season pass for Canik to be for a set period of time in real life as opposed to a single season of the game. Unfortunately, this past almost feels necessary, when you get to higher level recruiting as every recruit needs, additional points spent to have any chance of signing them. The other thing I would recommend has to do is regarding the points you need to move to a higher ranked league. Some of the achievements that you essentially are required to complete, are difficult with a particular coach (coordinator) and their play calls. For example, in a five star league you’re required to have multiple running backs have over 800 passing yards and the highest rated offensive coordinator does not have any screenplays in the available options. So I am stuck unable to progress unless I hire a cheaper/worse coach.

Some updates that have already been made were helpful, such as the preseason and the transfer portal I’m hoping they will be continued as the game ages.

Love the game but needs some changes.

Love this game I’m in my 5th season and have noticed a few things that seem to keep my program from progressing. 1. Seniority over overall. Seniors with lower ratings start over younger players with higher ratings making it very tough to win games. For example I have a senior RB with a 14 overall starting over my sophmore rb with a 27 overall making it rudimentary to call any run plays. This happens at every position. 2. Kickers miss too many FGs. There’s no reason my kicker should miss 3 less than 30 yard field goals in a row and then make a 50+ yarder when the game is out of reach. 3. Why is it that when I scout a team that calls all run plays and I call all blitzes that the opponent can still pop off 15+ yard runs back to back every play? It’s unrealistic. 4. Too many penalties! I’ve noticed that my team will be driving down the field and then go back significantly after multiple Offensive penalties and then run on 3rd and long which makes a lot of sense right? 5. There needs to be more recruiting points or some change to the recruiting system as it is possible to recruit all positions needed but tough when it comes to having all of the points required to do so.

The Program review.

This is an entertaining sim. The recruiting aspect is overly difficult in that you can’t ever get a great recruiting class, it’s currently tuned to give just enough money to get what you need, but you have to be very strategic to get it. For example, I’m in the 3 Diamond division, I won’t look at 2 star and below. I need 8 positions filled, when it gets down to the end I always have 1 or 2 not signed, inevitably one of the two won’t sign even above 80% recruiting progress. Adding depth to your roster is difficult and usually at the expense of a need.
One thing that would make it easier if positions could move around, DE’s and DT’s could replace each other at the expense of some ratings at secondary position. Same with OL or DB’s. I would also like to see an ATH position for recruiting, based on his stats he could be assigned a position.
Too often I lose a game where my offense and defense are rated much higher. Possibly because of it being an away game, or my play selections, but based of my teams familiarity with plays (cool feature, would be awesome if D and O could improve ratings after each game), I should always win. I focus only on offense and the few plays I run are highly rated. Good game, needs a few tweaks to be great.

Punishing difficulty but eventually rewarding

I was a few games away from leaving a two-star review before it finally clicked for me and my team turned the corner after five seasons. When you start out the other teams have better players, trainers, and coaches, meaning you can do everything right early on and still lose by 40 which is obviously very frustrating. Enjoying this game requires having the patience to get annihilated for a few seasons as you learn how to counter the opposing playbook and build up your recruiting. If you stick with it things eventually pay off, but coming into it expect to spend AT LEAST six seasons in each conference before earning the right to move up. I recommend prioritizing scouting and training upgrades early on, and choosing to review the opponent’s offense. Pick a defense that counters the plays you see, e.g. if they have plays running right pick something that blitzes left since the field is reversed from the defense’s perspective. At halftime prioritize swapping your worst performing offensive play, upgrading a defensive play if it’s being used for 3+ of the opposing plays, and halftime speech. Given the brutal learning curve I wish the devs would have put in a better coaching tutorial, but overall I’ve enjoyed it.

Great Game with room for improvement

This game is amazing it has all the aspects of being a head coach of a college team. Training, play calling, staff changes, recruiting, injuries and much more. The only things I would like to see being added would be if we could customize how the player on our teams look and also customize their names, also if there was an option for your scout to not move and gain scouting points that would be amazing. If there was an option to access more than 4 trainings that would also be nice because the game repeats the same trainings every week even with an upgraded trainer. Also if we could see the training history of our players to see how they have developed that would be cool. An expansion in the graduation screen would be cool to go in depth on each senior. Another cool feature would be to watch a quick version of the draft to see exactly where your player gets pick and if players could come back and visit the school to boost the players during important games for example the last home game, last regular season game, bowl games, or when teams are having a bad season.

Don’t sleep on this!

This is a really great college football simulation, even in these early stages I’m impressed. I expected to download this and move on per usual but I’m hooked on a good way, you really don’t have to spend real money but I did after my 3rd season to support the game’s future. This is the closet thing to the last EA NCAA game way back when, salute to the developers. There are things to work out, like sim stats, player of the year had over 4000 RUSHING yards and 30 TDs before the season ended that’s pretty wild. The recruiting should show player stats before deciding to recruit them, and the games should have a option to just sim them immediately please.. if they already do I’m just not seeing this option but it would help seasons go faster. This is a really in-depth sim with great attention to detail, I get around my hometown and down to the smallest town are listed in recruits which is a cool small detail. It’s definitely a grind! Which isn’t a bad thing in building a school, I finally had a winning record with only two loses in my 3rd season but am still only the lowest prestige so this is a long haul game which I’m ok with. With future updates this will be one of the best simulations in the store, this is honestly rivaling a sim franchise leave in madden 23…. It’s Avesta time killer and fun. Can’t wait for future updates, I’ll definitely w giving my feed back for the future please keep this going and thank you.

Addicted

This game is exactly what I was looking for! I have been really into playing sport manager/coach type games lately. I wasn’t fully satisfied with any of them until I came across this one. It seems very thought out which is kind of hard to come by unless you’re playing madden or something similar on a console. The level of involvement is good; it’s not overly complicated but still takes some thought. I do wish that there was an option to sim through the games faster, but that’s not a huge issue.

My only complaint is that the season pass costs 3.99 per season! I bought it the first time thinking it was like other games where you buy it once and you have that for the rest of the time you play, but it restarts every season. 4 dollars seems pretty steep considering you only have 11 games in a season, and I can easily go through a few seasons in a day depending on how much I play. I wish the developers would address this because if there was a set rate to get an all season pass for a fair amount I would definitely be sold, but I won’t be buying any more single season passes because it’s just not worth it.

Amazing game

This is such an amazing game, both in functionality and visualization. I get lost in the game for hours at a time. Its not too hard but not too easy easy either, there is a clear progression up through conferences. I know the game is also under constant development and I am excited to see what the developers come up with. Some things I would like to see added are an offseason transfer portal (allows you to fill missing holes in recruiting class and adds challenge when some of your own players transfer, and is also more realistic) and more options for trainers and scouts, as well as being able to select your starting point on the scouting map. Sometimes you start nowhere near any positions you need and it can be tough to fill all the holes, even with a plane ticket. I would also like to see players that you recruit in later weeks have higher starting interest. If you want to recruit a player in week 8, you either have to spend hundreds of points on personal visits or take a 40%ish risk at commitment. This also ties in to the map problem because if you start in a bad location it can take several weeks to get to positions you want, which makes it too expensive to get a full recruiting class and you end up with walk-ons. But overall love the game and still giving it five-stars

Great game but some problems

This is probably the best mobile college football game. Here are some of my compliments your players can improve. Also their is a transfer portal. Next you can scout and recruit yourself. Last you can make your own team. But here’s some things that should be changed. #1 in the first conference which should be the easiest is really hard to win. I am in year 3 with many top 5 recruits from previous years but still hard to come by a win. Next players get hurt to often and it’s usually starters. And it’s so annoying when I have got a win and my star qb gets hurt. Also scouting you start with I am pretty sure 1335 scouting tokens. You may say that’s a lot but that’s what you get to recruit. Just to meet the recruit in person is 150 and usually only boost their chances of going to your college by 35%. Last thing the transfer portal you can only get one player and in real life it’s not who puts in the best player and teams pick one by one. So you should be able to pick with feeling pressured to give up a star player for a person that’s not as good as them. Please take these comments into consideration. But overall GREAT GAME. Thank you for reading this in your time.

A fun work-in-progress game

Seeing some of the unfavorable reviews, you MUST keep in mind that the game tells you from the start that this is an early access game that doesn’t have a ton of features at the moment.

Despite that, the game is really fun and addicting. I never write reviews for games, but this game, even in an unfinished, unpolished state, is a breath of fresh air from football games like madden mobile or retro bowl (retro bowl is still a great game tho). The grind of recruiting good players and training up young prospects is engaging, and winning takes a lot of planning and strategizing week-to-week based on the opponents’ tendencies in your conference (eg. one of the colleges in my conference seems to only call run plays on offense).

There are many issues with the game, like starting the game for the first time, the advance day option never popped until I restarted the game, and I thought u had to check back every day to actually play out the season. Also, training success is hard to understand and sometimes is useless. Some of the ratings don’t feel as weighted as they should be, like kick accuracy or qb accuracy; however, these issues I feel will be worked on over time, and I’m really excited to see how the developers improve this game over time

Great Game overall

Really cool game, the best mobile sports simulation game I’ve ever played. Obviously thought out and programmed with a lot of intention and incorporates all of the elements sports nerds love to see. Only suggestion is to make recruitment a little easier- then again there is a purchasing option to make that happen- recruiting is a little hard to perfect and I only really got the hang of it well into my 3rd season and by then my team was absolute trash because all of the talented juniors and seniors I had started with had all left and I had only recruited a handful of pretty bad players. The training in this game is really useful tho and can change a team and bump them up several overalls. Be prepared, however, to be frustrated by the slow progression in team performances- I only started winning the conference after like my 8th season and that was in the easiest conference... having a better overall doesn’t really mean anything because I had a much better overall than any of the other teams one season and still barely had a wining record. Really cool game tho and something I have been looking for for a long time.
