theScore Bet: Sports Betting Reviews

I signed up for TheScore, and received two $200 free bets as part of 2 promotions for betting on the Super Bowl (Bet any amount and receive a $200 free bet) and a deposit match ($200 free bet on my $200 deposit). So after the 2 promo bets were placed, I withdrew the remaining $195 from my account.

They held my withdrawal, and when I talked to support they said my account was flagged for “bonus abuse.” What abuse? I just used 2 promos, put in $5 of my own money on a bet, and then withdrew. They claimed that they “expect users to bet their own money and to keep using theScoreBet beyond the bonus.” Keep in mind I read the entire terms and conditions and that was not on there. On top of that, I asked how much of my own money do I need to bet to clear my withdrawal, and they said “no specified amount.”

They held my own money, and didn’t even tell me how much I needed to play with to clear my OWN money. I used other bookies, and NEVER encountered something like this. Don’t use theScoreBet. They didn’t even give my own money back. Imagine what they would do if you won money. Very dishonest practices.

There are barely enough actionable plays for one game. There are barely any player props. There are no alternate spreads nor totals. There are just not enough options. They’re bonuses are completely misleading. 100% deposit match bonus is FALSE ADVERTISING and can lead to gambling addiction. This is a horrible practice by ScoreBet! They make you deposit and think you’re getting a 100% but nope, you are only getting 2% per wager placed. So if you bet $100, you get a whopping $2 back to your account. Someone do the math and tell me how many wagers it would take to get your $100 “bonus” back. It’s disgusting. It makes people deposit more and it’s terrible practice. The worst part is…they give an EXPIRATION DATE to when your bonus balance can be attained. So if you deposit $1000 and lose it after one big $1000 wager, you’ve earned yourself a whopping $20. I’m absolutely sickened by this!

Their “deposit match” is a scam, they only release your funds in 5% increments with each future wager meaning it takes hundreds of dollars of bets to even get some of it back, it’s stuck in there I’ve tried every single betting app and this one is by far the worst, they have almost no withdrawal methods , and you have to provide a whole bank statement and extra documents just to do it and the other apps don’t do that, I’ve been trying to get my winnings out for a week now, they offer only simple bets or alternates or very little outside bets, every aspect is horrible, it’s a scam and should be shut down, there is no way they are even close to a 5 start I promise that the reviews have to be fake.

Overall, the ScoreBet is a very easy and user friendly app to use. The customer service is A plus and the withdrawals are among the fastest among sports books. I like notifications when you win bets; however, my issue is compared to other Sportsbook’s there are no meaningful props whatsoever. For soccer, there isn’t even a first goalscorer as an example. Bonus money is also capped at plus +300 odds which kinda makes it worthless if you only get a 5 or 10 dollar bonus.

If you fix these two things, scorebet easily competes with some of the best apps out there.

What drew me in was the $500 in free bets which they honor immediately after you place your first $50. What turns me off about theScoreBet is that most sports have their lines up days before, be it baseball, football, hockey, etc but NBA basketball doesn’t come up til the day of, where as most other books will have lines up for two-three days of games at a time. And also they seem to train all their support staff to say the same thing, which is a bit annoying as well. I will be sure to pass the feedback along. Yeah, right. Then no real options when it comes to props, and no Same Game Parlays. LOTS of room for improvement.

I love this book because the lines are usually different from the main NJ sports books, providing another great out. Cashing out, however, has proved to be a nightmare so far. In a day where PayPal payouts are instant and the norm, theScoreBet requires you to use a playplus account? To make matters worse, I’ve been trying to verify my bank account for over a week now even after they withdrew 2 “macro withdrawals”, and can’t get an answer on where I can verify my account on playplus to withdraw. This may be a playplus issue, but it’s more withdrawal options should be offered. Overall, great app but poor customer service and ease of cashout.

I’m not even going to discuss the limited betting options compared to other sports books and will focus on theScoreBet functionality. theScoreBet has serious issues with the location setting which is needed to verify I’m in my home state where it’s legal to bet. Yes, I have it set to precise location and access to always. Almost every time I use theScoreBet and it’s verified location, I still can’t place the bet until I close theScoreBet and restart. Then it works. Very annoying and makes live betting nearly impossible. This hasn’t always been the case, but has been the norm for the last couple of months at least.

Stay away. They give you plenty of options to deposit money into the account and making bets is very easy and simple but when it comes to withdrawing your money they give little options. They allow you to deposit with a MasterCard but you can’t withdraw to it? And I do have a visa but it gets declined saying “your bank does not allow betting”. This is a joke. You can’t withdraw to a PayPal until you make a deposit first which makes no sense and they want me to drive to a casino to pick up cash. I will never use theScoreBet again as they’re is plenty of other apps that allow a much smoother process.

The new user free bet promo is great. I don’t feel like they properly advertised the 5% cash back to me though. Multiple times I have logged in to bet on the NBA only to be met with a screen that says there are no bets. What a joke. No other sportsbook I’ve used has effectively been down for any of the major sports. Also they advertise boosted odds under promos but the majority of the time there are none and even when there are some clicking the promo doesn’t take you to the boosted bet, instead it open a tab where they buried the boosts at the bottom of the page.

The worst possible sports betting app, all of the other apps have easier sign ups yet still require info to verify your identity, and theScoreBet is clearly uninterested in letting you get your money after you win it, it has plenty of options that allow you to deposit cash into your account but only 2 long drawn out options in order for you to be able to withdraw, every other app I’ve used and I’ve used many, allow you to simply use PayPal for easy deposit and withdraw, I don’t see why they don’t simply allow that option so you can quickly get your winnings without jumping through countless hoops

I put this sports book at a 3.5 review. I would love to give it a five star, however the lack of player props per game is disappointing. I want to bet on any time touchdown scorers and the first touchdown scorers. Other sports books have lots of other prop bets available. Overall, this is my go to betting app though! Very easy login and very easy cash out! Looking forward to app development to be able to give it the five star I think it is capable of!

I couldn’t access any of the apps features because it continued to ask me for the same information to sign up. All information was correct and double checked before moving forward in the process. Even after reaching the final step of checking yes to all of the requirements, theScoreBet went back to the step for filling out my home address.

Clearly still in development stages. I look forward to improvements. I’ve always used the theScore’s original app for keeping track of every sport and the relatively “new” betting info feature.

If you are looking for a “Deposit Match” this is not the site. They say they match your deposit but after I didn’t realize the 3 pages of fine print, I found out that’s no the truth. If you deposit $250 they put $250 in a “bonus” and therefore you are given 5% back every $100 you wager after that, up to the amount you deposited. So if you deposit $250, you must wager $5,000 after that I order to get your “deposit match”. Also The site doesn’t have many props or other bets besides the main stream wagers. There are other sites that are much better

Really great app that I enjoy using. Does not offer as many bonuses as some larger apps but that’s nothing to be upset about. I like that I can actually get notifications of my wins, I haven’t seen that feature on any other apps.

I do wish there were more props available. Some games won’t have any props and Only have that standard ML, Spread, and Over/Under available to bet.

Set up an account after making 2 calls to support for help. Then tried to bet a game after depositing 20 into account. After many attempts I called support for the 3rd time to find out its for New Jersey residents only. Wow why did it let me open an account and accept my deposit as I live in kentucky? It should say in bold letters New Jersey residents only plus not accept account set up from other states. Plus a deposit. If you read app directions it states in small print 21 nj only. I did not read that or if had I probably would have not thought a thing about it.

They’ve recently added biometric login, which was a huge missing piece. They have also streamlined the cash out process, and it’s truly a well-designed app. The interface is very intuitive, and it’s much more aesthetically pleasing than a lot of the other apps out there. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking to collect your winnings look elsewhere. It’s now been three weeks since I filed a request to withdraw my winnings directly into my bank account, to no avail. When I deposited, the money was taken from my bank account instantly. But now that I want to withdraw my winnings there is apparently an issue. I’ve emailed, chatted, and called and just told there was a problem with the process and they would get back to me. No timeframe, nothing. In a world with many other Sportsbooks that get you your money promptly, why pick this one?

The UI is fantastic. Plenty of bets to choose from. And the best part is they are actually willing to take a bet. I have not been limited or denied a bet once, unlike these other companies (cough betrivers, DraftKings, pointsbet, betmgm, Unibet cough) that claim to be sportsbooks but are really just risk averse businesses looking for a quick buck from suckers.

Don't waste your time signing up if you're not in one of those few states where you're allowed to bet on sports. They will let you give them all your information while signing up and then tell you that you can't bet due you your location.

They are not the only site doing so. But you have given them your data and you will get email every day till you die and I don't want you having my social security if I can't use your service.

Number one thing that frustrates me, having to login every time I use theScoreBet ! It doesn’t even have the option to save login information even the email.

Number two, there is a much more limited selection available for bets. You can bet on most of the major sports for every game but you won’t find very many prop bets. It’s mostly just spread, moneyline and over/under bets. There’s also limited amount of generic future bets.

I did the $100 promo and won. Then they suspended my account when I tried to get my money out. Looks like a scam to me making it easy to lose money but not get any winnings. The staff told me they would unblock my account and it’s still blocked over 48 hrs later. App developer has asked me to contact support making it look like the issue was addressed in the reviews but issue has not been addressed. Issue was finally resolved after calling.

I find theScoreBet to be the most versatile of the sports betting apps. And I use it over all of them However, the log in is antiquated. Can we get touch /fingerprint login as many of the other apps offer?

No Face ID logs you out within 10 minutes and have to log in again every time with the long password they make you choose...and then withdrawal methods are insane...not like other apps where you e check it to your account or deposit to PayPal to echeck you need send them a voided check it’s insane..sticking to the other apps I use and deleted this one right away they are so much easier!

Downloaded theScoreBet few months ago from my experience they seem very unprofessional I had a claim with customer service I was very patient with them and the representative was extremely sarcastic and rude I wouldn’t recommend theScoreBet when their are so many more apps with a lot more of experience and detail (FanDuel,DraftKings) I’m never one to put in a complaint but was just overall bad experience

Needs an IPad version. Other then that amazing smooth and clean interface.

Not bad but I use my iPad more than phone for this sort of thing and no iPad app is a killer! In 2019 you can’t launch a mobile product without a good user experience via a tablet. It unusable until then. I’ll be back after the product is fully baked.

If you don’t live in a state where sports gambling is legal than OBVIOUSLY you won’t be able to place a bet on theScoreBet . You people are seriously the dumbest humans on earth.

I really love theScoreBet ’s design and functionality and was planning on using it a lot. But when i got to place a bet theScoreBet tells me it cannot verify my location. I’m in central florida, in the middle of a city. I’m not out in the country so im not sure why it wont cooperate. Nevertheless, theScoreBet is great but I literally cant use it.

Just signed up and theScoreBet felt seamless and easy to use. I hope to see more sports options in the future like UFC and tennis, thanks!
