At this day and age, any app developer should be aware that a phone number is, in some respects, more valuable than a social security number. Expecting users to fork over sensitive data without building any trust is outlandish and suspect at best. Apple and other OS platforms have provided methods for implementing secure account creation that also allow for anonymous account creation to obfuscate user data from collection methods. This has been in place for years, so there’s little reason for it to not be baked in to Spillt. Maybe there was no malicious intent, but after a certain point, the lack of implementation suggests use of dark pattern development.

This is a great concept. Love being able to put all the links for recipes I use in to one app. Don’t have to go to bookmarks anymore, and it’s seamless to use. Not really in to the social/sharing aspect of Spillt , but I see how it could be fun if you have multiple friends on there. For now just a great way to keep all my recipes from the internet (and not a cookbook) in one place!

Spillt completely streamlines the recipe saving experience. this app makes it incredibly quick and easy to store recipes in one place that I actually do it rather than adding yet another bookmark or screenshot to my “recipe book”.

My favorite feature is the ability to rate and add comments to the recipes you save. Now I don’t have to remember that I had to add 5 minutes to the cook time, or that I added more cinnamon to dish. ALSO, your screen stays lit the entire time you are viewing a recipe so you don’t have to constantly tap your screen while your hands are covered in the cookie dough you are making.

There are tons of other thoughtful features such as the ability to quickly see and save the ingredient list for a recipe and the “feed” to see what your friends are cooking.

Just trust me - this is the solution to all of your recipe saving problems!!

If you ever struggle to figure out what to make for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anything in between, look no further than using Spillt. With a quick search (by ingredient, recipe, meal type, etc.) you can have delicious meals in no time. You can create a shopping list, then save your favorite recipes or food bloggers to come back to for easy reference. It truly is cooking made easy! 👩🏻‍🍳 🥘 ❤️

I am absolutely loving this app! This is just Spillt we bloggers needed to help put our content out there. It’s so user friendly both when it comes to posting my own recipes and when it comes to searching for new ones I may be interested in cooking. It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited about something new!

this app solves *everything* that’s annoying about online recipes and makes me want to cook more! I always want to use recipes but never had a place to save the links… not anymore! Plus the fact the recipes stay open while cooking is brilliant. The this app team is genius for identifying and filling this gap in Spillt world!

Spillt has made the process of cooking at home so much more enjoyable! I can easily save recipes to my profile & organize them in a way that helps me quickly find them/decide what to cook.

I LOVE the grocery list feature because it helps me identify what I need to buy, and check off ingredients as I make my way through the grocery store. I used to always forget an ingredient or two as I shopped, but this makes sure that doesn’t happen.

Last, being able to keep the recipe on my phone while cooking without the screen going black has been a lifesaver. No more messily unlocking my phone again and again as I cook.

There are so many places to find good recipes from online. I love having one place to store them. this app makes it easy to add and organize recipes. It also separates the ingredients list for creating a shopping list. Then there’s the recipe sharing, photos and comments — to see what friends are trying and loving. This is genius!

Love Spillt so much. Makes recipe sharing and meal planning with housemates a breeze! Plus, the interface is so cute with a cast of cartoon food characters and a fun “dating app” like feature where you can swipe right/left to add new recipes to your collection.
It has also introduced me to new food bloggers and recipes I never would have found.
Highly recommend!

Love Spillt! For me, staying motivated to cook was tough because I didn’t know what to make! Spillt makes it really easy (and fun) to see what your friends are cooking and get different ideas and actually see what real people think about the recipe and how long it actually took etc. Love how easy it is to create a grocery list as well! Super smart and intuitive!

Spillt is a great resource for recipes across the internet, like Pinterest *used* to be, but is no longer. I often find myself with one ingredient I want to use but in need of a recipe. So, I especially love the “search by ingredient” feature. The design is also beautiful and intuitive. I wish it was more popular, the social feature has the potential to be the GoodReads of cooking.

This is such a useful and functional app, not to mention how fun it is to actually use. It makes cooking and meal prepping / planning so much easier - having recipes saved all over the interwebs was so frustrating and this app is a better solution than I could’ve hoped for. The social / engagement aspect is awesome too. I love getting ideas from friends (and strangers!) who also use this app. YUM!!

Spillt is genius. The design is simple and beautiful and the function is great! Highlights: (1) it’s SO easy to save a recipe immediately if you like it, so no more endless online searching to find “the one we made and loved that time”; (2) paper saved by not printing the recipes I want to keep; (3) getting ideas from other people on Spillt about which recipes to make and tips on what to do/not; and (4) phone stays open with recipe showing while I’m cooking. Love it!!

Spillt has changed the way I cook! It allows me to easily organize and save online recipes so that I actually test out a new meal instead of letting it fade into the ether of my memory or a scary Google doc. I also love that I can search all my recipes by a single ingredient (no more slimy herbs in this fridge). I’m fangirling over new bloggers now too because I can save my fav tahini dressing instead of googling for a new one every time 🔥🍔🥗🍝🥞

Now I can save, find, review and use recipes from the internet all in one site - this app! No more printing and filing recipes and then forgetting where I filed them. No more screen going black in the middle of making a recipe when my hands are messy and I don’t want to touch the phone screen. No more trying to remember on what site I found a recipe. Save the recipe link to this app in files you’ve set up. Easy to find and easy to use. I love this app!

this app makes it easy to share recipes and find recipes I’d never find otherwise. I can seamlessly “share “ a recipe I find on the web directly to Spillt without leaving the web page. People also post reviews of recipes they make which is helpful as well. It’s easy to organize recipes into custom “collections” I create. It’s a great app especially when I can see what my friends are saving as well.

Spillt is amazing for keeping recipes organized, creating grocery lists, and discovering new dishes! I wish there were a way to edit recipes before/after importing them into Spillt (change title, modify ingredients, etc.) so users could customize them based on their preference. Would also be great if this app used the iPhone live text feature to more easily scan and upload written recipes! Excited to see what this app does next!!!

I love that you can save and categorize recipes from any website here including all my favorite blogs. I also like that I can see what my friends have made and how they rated it. Plus, I’m able to support bloggers by leaving a rating and review on their recipes without having to leave Spillt and remember to go back to their website later. Love the “always on” screen feature too! Highly recommend if you love to cook and bake like I do.

I rarely write reviews for apps, but this is so functional and helpful, and I am telling everyone I know about it. I’m shocked this doesn’t have more users; it has the potential to be the goodreads of cooking!

I love the ability to save and categorize without leaving your web browser via the Share button, and I love how straightforward the features are - not a ton of fluff, just simple and clean and does what I want it to do.

Spillt is awesome for those of us who love to bookmark recipes online and then can never ever find them again. I just automatically save everything to this app and sort them however I want to. When I go to cook, it's so easy to see the ingredient list and the screen STAYS LIT when you're on a recipe so you don't have to wash your hands between every step to see what comes next. I can see what my friends are making too! It's so helpful and great for any home kitchen chef 💕

Spillt is amazing!! I never usually think to review apps, but I had to for this one. Previously, I had all my recipes saved in my browser, but it was so hard to navigate through those bookmarks. With Spillt, I can organize all my recipes so well, and easily sort through them because of the large photos of each recipe. Also, it makes it so easy to save my ratings, reviews, and comments on every recipe I’ve made. I love Spillt so much!
