I like the concept of designing digital books for my clients. On the other hand, the amount of time it took to add and deleting photos just to generate a different layout is beyond exhausting. I should be able to choose my entire layout for each page including adding text next to photos without loosing an entire page to just a few words.

I give up!!! It has no way to save your work. And every time I get somewhere with it, it crashes.

I selected all photos, went to the preview, and then SaalDesignApp crashed in the background, there is no state restoration, all my work is gone.

This is bad software quality, disappointed. Seems this is a common theme in the reviews.

tl;dr: Don’t use. Will swallow your data and leave you no better

SaalDesignApp is easy to navigate, but crashes constantly and doesn’t save any work. It’s extremely frustrating to use, and pointless if crashes before it ever lets you check out.

I like the design options but I don’t like that you can’t change the color. At least I wasn’t able to figure out how to if you can. Like if there’s a picture on one side and a solid color on the other it would be nice to be able to pick any color not just the 2 options.

It would also be nice to have a favorites tab or something so you can easily pick the same page design and or font for each page if you want them to look the same like I did. It was difficult trying to go in every time and find the same page design.

Never used this company before. Hoping the book is as beautiful as it looked online. Only thing I didn’t like was in the middle of my project I decided I wanted to add a page but couldn’t add where I wanted it. I could only add it to the end not the middle. There should be a button on every page where you can just add another page.

I found SaalDesignApp a bit more difficult because I used it on my iPhone to create the book. Having said that I loved where the book inserted the pebble clip art I used and I found the application for text easy to use.
It has a learning curve when switching layouts and photos. But excellent tutorials to view to assist. If you put the time in I imagine it will look great.
If the finished product is as good as I think it will be I would rate it at 5. For me it’s the quality of the photo paper that matters.

No help indication on moving photos, changing their size or format. User interface very poor. I was disappointed.

First time using app and I love it. Just made surprise book for my wife from an epic summer adventure and it is BEAUTIFUL! Check this one out if looking for pro quality and simple interface.

This is a good app for designing these items. I watched one video tutorial, but that probably wasn’t even necessary. It was easy to use, and I’m not a techy person! Was very happy with the results as they showed on SaalDesignApp . Can’t wait to see the final product!

I tried out the new Professional Line, and you all, this is a MUST have for any one interested in sharing their photos in the best most beautiful way possible. The book I received is stunning!! Like looking at a screen, the images area crystal clear!!
I highly recommend this. Simply stunning. I definitely will be using this company again!!

Just received my fantastic Photobook from the Pro line, and the quality of the reproductions is amazing.
I only wish I had taken advantage of using text. The software is user friendly; if your handy with photoshop you may create your own templates.
For a company based out of the USA the lead time from design to delivery was very short.
