Last year the SO and I were bemoaning the fact that it is so hard to try to figure out the fishing regs based on location, that he should develop an app and sell it to ADF&G. We talked about the features it should have and so on. Well, I just found out it now exists! My first challenge (after signing in twice) was that I have a permanent senior license and I couldn’t figure out how to upload it. So I poked around the “store” of tags and licenses and it is available for “sale” with a zero dollar cost. I entered my info and when the transaction was complete it reflected the original date I got my permanent ID card. Pretty slick! Especially since the physical card is pretty worn. Looks like it has the right features- time will tell when we go to use it later this year.

Just downloaded, not tested fully

Initial impression is really good. My info, licenses, location all populated easily using my existing MyAlaska ID (same as PFD). The layout of the app makes sense, navigation is intuitive. Finally we have an app! I’m interested to see how this works when out of service.

Outstanding app!

Well done! This is an easy to use and very intuitive app. I’m in my 50s and didn’t grow up with smart phones and such. This app is easy to navigate and I appreciate the content. I’m looking forward to the mapping function in fishing.
