It’s a beautiful game, of course, but a downside is that it everything runs off of ad coupons. They can be obtained through gameplay but not as much as if you jus paid the $3 for 50, which isn’t a problem for me. When you spend your ad coupons, you can redeem them for items like time tickets, new animals or chests. It offers the new animals for 7000 pearls😳 a goal I’m fully aware I will not achieving. That’s fine because for 300 pearls I can get 70x a common chest, right? WRONG! I used my ad coupons, I saved them up for chests and I was never given 70x chests. It very clearly states 70x above the common chest picture. I spent 600 pearls (60 ad coupons) trying to get chests but I still have nothing. This just isn’t how you treat someone who plays your game that solely runs on money.

2 Week Update: It hasn’t been too long since I’ve made my review and the little 70x over the common chests is gone. I was never apologized to, was never refunded, I was never given my chests and I didn’t get so much as a response from the developers.

Although the game is beautiful, I am beyond disappointed by how few animals you can get without paying. They constantly beg you to buy expansion packs, and it’s a huge let down that I can’t host my favorite animals on my islands because the game only gives you a small selection- thirteen common animals and nine rare ones. It’s a calming game for sure, I love the sound effects and the music, and I really appreciate the “enjoy nature” mode where you can listen to the sounds of nature in each island. However, the positives do little to distract from how badly this game wants to profit off of you. If the developers made the game more out of their own passion, they would allow it to be enjoyed to it’s fullest by anyone willing to download. Instead, they allow only a small look into the promise of the game, and keep the rest closed off for only a small few to experience.

While the instagram page does host events in which randomly selected people can win special upgrades, there are only around five winners for each event, and once it’s gone, there’s no way to pay for the missed upgrades in-game.

Overall, it’s a good game if you have the money to pay for more and more upgrades. The freely downloadable game is a demo, though not advertised as such. It’s shocking how little of the game’s overall features are either inaccessible to those who download free, or completely lost in past events.

🤩🦊🐰I’d like to start with how great this game is! Good job developers. I really liked the cute animals I saw and, being an animal lover and a person who loves photography, got the game. I really liked the cute animations and recommend the game to ppl who just want to chill and watch them🙂. But as I played for a few hours things started to bug me. First off, half the things I see cost 3-10 dollars. Than, comes the albums… I take about 2 minutes to get the perfect shot and I pay 50 gems to speed the printing up. 😥The picture doesn’t even go in the album😡! I’ve wasted more than 100 gems on picture to see them disappear into coins and not go in my album. Another thing is that the animations are to fast! I turn the camera to a bear standing and a few seconds later he’s in his cave where I can’t see him. A problem related to the prices: I have like, 3 animals in the water near my island saying to buy stuff or watch an add to get this. It’s annoying bcs they have the same coin icon or heart icon as the ones that show u can collect that stuff. So I always accidentally click it to find that I have to but it for like, 10 dollars. Those are all my problems. I know. U. It’s me like “Oh,i bet it’s not THAT bad!” The game isn’t bad at all, it’s just it has a few problems . Developers, please try to change these things! Thanks. The game is amazing for calming down and the animals animations are super cute, but I really want to talk about some of the glitches and bugs that really annoy me like another person. Sad whenever I try to get things in my photo album really won’t work. I spend so many gems on speeding the timer app and it still doesn’t work and I spent so many things that I’m kind of poor now on the game which is fine but I just want to be able to put things in my thing and also all the things are pretty cheap and that’s part of the game that I actually like and whenever you want to watch an ad to get some thing I don’t only put on like kind of want to add and you’ll only get an ad when you want to get an add ads don’t come on every single second and that’s what I like about the game that if you ask to have an ad to get something it will happen, but it won’t happen every single second of the gameplay anyway, I think this game is great for calming down whenever you need to go to sleep at night and I hope everyone has a good day today🥰😊

Pros: Super cute concept and art style. You can both level up/increase the number of each animal, and each animal also has a ‘rare’ variant that can be gotten by opening chests. Once you’ve sufficiently leveled up each area, you get access to a unique nature audio that you could listen to while sleeping, meditating, etc. Definitely has a lot of potential.

Cons: Ads everywhere. There’s the usual ones to triple your offline income and to get a set amount of in game money. But then there’s also ads to participate in daily events, open chests, complete goals, etc. You have no choice but to watch some number of ads to progress in this game, which is kind of lame. There’s also a lot of paid content. There’s both a battle pass and a ton of individual animals that you have to buy individually to get. The prices are generally low (a dollar for a frog, 5$ for a special bear), but those things add up quickly for consumers. There’s also this kind of unpleasant thing the devs have done with chests; when you use in game crystals (rare) to open a chest, instead of the usual accept/next/continue button, they put a button to spend more crystals on another chest and put the exit button off to the side. I have several times now accidentally/unwillingly spent crystals on additional chests I didn’t want.

One of the things I love about ForestIsland are the sounds. I can’t find soft birds singing anywhere, or waves that don’t sound like white noise. This being said, the wind sounds could be better. These do sound like white noise, very loud white noise, and drown out the other sounds. The Fox Forest claims to have the soft wind through the trees and birds. If you soften the wind and make it actually sound like a breeze rustling through leaves it would be perfect. The Bear Cave is very, very loud white noise. Make it sound like quite forest noises, a few forest birds, something simple. The Meadow is decent, just be a bit softer so you can actually hear the other sounds added. And the wolf area is perfect if you add what you would hear in open skies (like an eagle occasionally) and add the wolves that are in that area. These are my only critiques. I love ForestIsland. I listen to it almost every night. It’s easy and simple to gain credits for animals and new areas so I don’t get frustrated, and the different areas are beautiful and diverse; all in all it’s a good app, just make the noises better and it would be perfect. The oceans areas, rabbits, and ducks are so peaceful, and the other areas would be too if you just make it softer and not repetitive loud white noise.

I love this game and it is really relaxing and my little cousin and I have started to play just today and we both really like it. The thing is is that there is a lot of paid content. There should be a way to get at least a few of the paid creatures but make it, like, hard. I have read some of the reviews and they are right. There is a lot of paid content but there are also really cute animals you can get just from playing and enjoying the game. I am a young woman and my little cousin has turned 4 a couple weeks ago and we enjoy this game together. It’s kind of hard to find a game for such a big age difference that is actually fun for basically all ages because I try to find games and lots include reading but this one includes some that you have to pay attention to but I can just read it to him. I recommend this game for people who are stressed and just need a break. Although… there should be lore. Where did the strange energy at the beginning of the game come from? Where do the islands come from? How do bears and bunnies get all the way to the middle of the ocean? THE OCEAN! You should really add some lore and make it easier to make an account. I’ll leave my original review below. However, as promised, I came back to update my review! It’s amazing to see a mobile game company listening to their players and taking action. Thank you for fixing the ONLY issue anyone seemed to have with the game. I know a lot of us are happy to see our little friends whenever we want now, rather than whenever the game would actually load up. Amazing job so far, thanks again for listening and caring! Looking forward to the future this game has in store :)

This company is doing an incredible job in every aspect of this game. However, as stated in almost EVERY recent review, everyone is having trouble loading the game up without it crashing and only showing a gray screen. This is occurring for me too. Once that problem is addressed and fixed, I’ll come back and change my rating asap. Please don’t ignore the community like other mobile games! We all love the game, that’s why we hate not being able to play it!

So overall, this game is great. I’ve been playing it for about 4-7 days, and its literally great. I love everything about it! ESPECIALLY rest mode! I don’t see how this game doesn’t have all 5 stars. This game is wonderful and all but one thing that could really do it, was if maybe the animals could get names, or you could care for them! No, no, no, it’s not to the point where they starve and you stress over not being able to feed them all at once, it’s an interaction. They don’t get hungry, yet you could still feed them. Like if you clicked on it 1 or 2 times there would be a page showing stuff about the animal! And you could name it too! It would show the personality of the animal, there would be options for you to go into a single stall with the animal to pet it, feed it, clean it, and just fun interaction stuff! I know this a lot to ask for but it would be great! Just a recommendation though! ❤️

I started playing this game because of the cute graphics. I never thought I would continue playing it as much as I have; most games that focus on building towns and villages get me extremely hooked for a week until I never play it again. With Forest Island, I play for a bit each day— either a few minutes here or there, or while I’m watching TV— and it’s probably the least stressful game I have played while also being super engaging. Plus: the only time you see ads are when you want free items!

One thing that is very reassuring about Forest Island is that my islands will look exactly how I left them when I previously left the game. There isn’t stress about upkeep or being away for too long, which would ultimately make me delete a lot of games. Its very well designed, nice graphics, and the currency systems are super easy to understand (coins, hearts, gems, etc). I also like the ratio of earning coins to buying/ upgrading islands— it’s paced very well. Instead of earning a lot of coins and being able to speed through/purchase every upgrade and have nothing left to buy, prices increase nicely as I earn more and it gives the game a very steady pace. This might be the game I’ve been looking for my whole life.

Not sure if anyone will read this but this game is super refreshing and different from others in its genre, I’m super glad I stumbled across it!

I love this game I have played it for abt 1 hours and 30 mins and this is the best animal game I have ever seen!! No adds yet!! There are only adds if you want to watch one for coins or energy!! ( so far..) the animals are so cute and I love the animation! No subscription the only thing you have to buy is special pets and stuff if you wanna spend 2-10 dollars on a game! If you were thinking abt getting this game I would kinda recommend it! Now onto the bad things.. I can’t really get any cool pets bc of the prices!! The stuff costs like 2-10$! Who is gunna spend that much on pets.. second: I wish you could make it easier to sign in!! The only way is to Sign in with Apple and it will not work! But it’s kinda just sad that you can’t get any cool pets but the log in day streak.. maybe can you lower the prices down? I have reed the reviews and they are also saying the prices are to high!! But from the good and bad this game is really good!!

This is an ✨AMAZING✨ game! It is so adorable! I just downloaded it yesterday and I am already in love with it 😍. I really appreciate the graphics and I actually love how simple it is. I love the music and the sound and the looks and it is just incredible! Thank you so much creators, what an amazing game!! Especially the frog in the duck pond it’s SO cute and I’m kinda obsessed with frogs but it costs money which is a little frustrating because it is so tempting and cute. To me, this seemed like a game where the creators just let the people enjoy it and it was about to become my new favorite game until I found out how many thing cost money. Like I said, I do really appreciate the music, sound effects and animations and graphics but pls pls pls don’t make everything cost money!! Other than that, great game! Love it! Just needs a little work and then it could be one of the best games ever!!

The aesthetics are the best I’ve ever seen and the quality is I also love. I think you should have less things cost money because they’re all too cute. but really, it’s like the cutest game I’ve ever played. I love all of the graphics and the new pets that she could get I love that you could you could evolve all of your pets and get new islands like I said before I feel like you should have less things cost money and maybe have less ads I know you barely have ads in the game. Still the game is so nice and in such a unique game I love to play it. I just got it today. I haven’t started playing it. maybe add some more animals in it but really I shouldn’t be talking because I just started the game. Maybe add like more like a jungle island if you haven’t had one and have like a tiger or something or sloths or koalas or whatever more cute animals because I’m only on the bear when I just got the bear done the bear Island best game I ever played I’m not gonna stop playing it every time I get home from school yes I am a kid is that OK with you? I rated this game 5 stars because it has NO PROBLEMS, 🤩🤩🤩, and when the winter island popped up it gave me a mission I think to clean up and getting coins is sooooo easy from my little islands they just fill up a bar quickly and then pop up coin! Hearts, too, because hearts you just collect from happy animals and you don’t have to buy anything UNLESS… you want to. I unlocked 🐇, 🦊, 🦆 and spotted rabbit upgraded normal too then foxes and silver fox upgraded too. Lots of things are easygoing and cute the bunnies and foxes and ducks I just unlocked but just one question: can you get polar bears? Penguins? Arctic foxes? Cuz’ the winter island looks cold 🥶 and lonely 😔 so polar animals should be unlocked and exist, so the winter ❄️ island won’t feel so cold 🥶 and lonely 😔. Overall that was my one question, it doesn’t make me feel like “ARRRRRGH!” Or “WHYYYYYY!” If you can’t make polar animals exist on the winter island. But it’ll be a little difficult and disappointing if you can’t because then it’ll just be cold 🥶 and lonely 😔. But it’s A-ok, Developers, because this game is cool!

So i downloaded this game from ad and it looked like a interesting game so obviously i wanted to see it and i already had started and i am getting so much animals and islands and so far this is so AMAZING! it’s soothing and relaxing. ForestIsland is best relaxing game ever! It has some relaxing nature sounds my favorite sound so far is the The tree of rest, also have beautiful Background music, and the click haptic sounds beautiful too. The islands that are built are very beautiful like the tree of rest, Hallow Log Glade, and obviously more! Back to the nature sounds im gonna say this again they obviously sound so relaxing and it could help me sleep better and i almost prefer this than the other music app music to sleep in. I also have like anger issues, Anxiety, sometimes depression, And ADHD and this game really helped my issues a lot! Gotta say this is a very relaxing app that could calm you down and entertained too. ForestIsland is definitely deserves 5 stars and i have recommended this to several of my friends. keep up the good work! ☺️

This game is the first game I’ve enjoyed a lot in a long time. It’s extremely relaxing and actually pretty easy! When I’ve been having a long day I just come on here and look at the beautiful ducks or the adorable rabbits. Most games (especially the cheap ones on the Nintendo switch) that are supposed to be relaxing usually are but they copy from other games. I know a Roblox game that had amazing animations, graphics, and realistic plots etc but it’s like a loop hole sort of, like the fox in the game was literally the same one from any cheap Nintendo game with a short story/ plot that’s supposed to be relaxing. My point is you guys did a great job on this! Unlike other “relaxing” copycat games you actually took the time to make your own original graphics and designs. Again this is the first game I’ve enjoyed very much in a while and I wanted to thank you so much! (I did have some trouble unlocking the bear den like I had the required energy but it took a while to process I did and it let me unlock it but otherwise this is amazingly wonderful and fun!)

I’m on the verge of getting the last island I believe, this game is amazing, it’s everything it says it is, along with extra things I didn’t even expect to be in the game. It’s calming, relaxing, peaceful, just a good way to decompress. Now the only thing i’ve noticed that could be a little better is distinguishing the “Relax Sounds” more uniquely. Some of the relax sounds sound very similar too each-other, an idea I could give would be to add quiet sounds of each animal that accompanies that resting space. I was a little confused with the racoon island sounding very similar to crashing waves on the other islands, because one of my favorite pieces of the game is the audio and creativity brought by each discovery. I only had an issue with the ones that sounded almost exactly alike, but there’s only a handful of them :)

Even when I complete this game, i’m planning on having this game for awhile and seeing it grow, so you can always bank on someone wanting and waiting to watch the game grow :)

While most mobile game these days crank out cheap games pumped with pop up adds and more than loads of micro transactions this game is the breath of crash air ForestIsland Store needed. In this game you’ll find that 90% of what you’d expect to be behind a paywall is just a feature in this magnificent game. With the removal of pop up ads and even a lack of the new normal banner ad at the bottom Forest Islands finds a way to incorporate ads into their game in a way that’s not necessarily but still an option when in need of help and that option is one very welcomed. In a good however, there are micro transactions, but it’s not what you’d expect. The game chooses to be very Subtle and relaxed with its marketing and most of the micro transactions simply features pure cosmetic’s with added rewards for a surprisingly cheap price that actually make me want to buy them. No need to buy auto collect, it’s already in the game as a feature. Forest Islands truly was a breath of fresh air for ForestIsland Store and gives me hope that maybe things can change from its current status. I could not recommend a game more.

This is the best free game ever!! It is so fun and relaxing, and all of the animals are too cute. I love the little traits that the animals have, such as the bears enjoy sitting down, the foxes love to jump, the deer like to bury their heads in flower patches and so much more! You can progress very nicely without paying, although you have to pay to get some animals that you can’t download with new parts of the island or get from a chest. As a nature lover, I do have to say that the animals look very close to what they would actually look like in real life, (obviously cartoony). One thing is that whenever I go to take a pic of one of my animals, when I hit the button with the mountain on it, (the print button) the game kicks me off! So I can’t take pics, basically, because the game doesn’t download them in time and kicks me off too soon. Please please please fix this bc I really like taking pictures when one of my animals does something new or cute, like when my bears rub on the tree or when the rabbits come out their cave-hole. Other than that glitch, this game is awesome and I play it all the time. Highly recommend!

i downloaded this from an Instagram add saying i could take care of a raccoon. i am raccoon obsessed, so obviously i had to see what it was. the albino raccoon was gifted after 3 days of playing, and i wasn’t even mad about it because everything leading up to it, AND far beyond it has been amazing! it’s so soothing and relaxing, wholesome, and the best kind of mindless app to spend my time instead of social media. there’s birds singing, a nice background tune, and all the click haptic sounds are soothing too! they’re satisfying and aren’t harsh sounds whatsoever. it’s all in all a very comforting app. there are ‘rest modes’ of areas you build, such as Tree of Rest and Duck Pond, which are options you can click just to hear relaxing nature sounds that easily help put me to sleep. i prefer this over spotify/apple music sleep sounds. this is so much better.
for my fellow ADHD havers, this is a very nice app to have to calm you down and keep you occupied on something relaxing. 10/10, have already recommended it to several friends! love, love, love. 👍🏼🤗
