I used to love the game. Seasons 1-3 were actually really great. So when season 4 was dropping on an entirely new app I was more then willing to give it a shot but it was a huge flop. All of a sudden it seemed like your choices weren’t yours to make and no matter what route you chose you’d end up the same. (Previously seasons really allowed you to control your destiny and you could play over and over again and always get a different outcome) LoveIsland has completely taken away the best aspects of love island.

Now if you thought season 4 was bad wait until you see season 5, it’s Boring with a capital B! You have even less control over your story and they just completely force people on you that you have no interest in. You don’t even have much control over you MC’s appearance besides her hair and clothes. There are limited options for your responses and the personally is flat. I’m really upset, after waiting week after week and making no progress I’ve decided to stop playing.

I recommend playing one of the earlier seasons on the other love island app. It’s more entertaining. More versatile and just an overall better experience for what love island should be about. This one is tacky, limited, and just a waste of time. If you haven’t played seasons 1-3 then I suggest you do and if you have played them then you know exactly what I’m talking about. I wished fuse games would’ve done better but at this point I’ve lost faith that they ever will.

What happened? This game used to be my main source of entertainment. I used to be so excited to play every week, and now I find myself staring LoveIsland , and then stopping it. Because why does it matter? There is no story line, no character development whatsoever, no actual choice given. I feel like I’m reading a terribly written book and trying to make it to the end in hopes it will get better! I DONT WANT ALFIE. IM NOT A LESBIAN. I DONT WANT SURESH. Where is the romance that I WANT??!? Why am I being forced to choose between two emotionally manipulative men and one extremely offending women who doesn’t get that I am into men and not women? Nothing towards her, she’s ok I guess, but I am a straight women and feeling forced to make a decision I don’t want to make feels wrong. “NO” does not exist in this season, and it’s extremely claustrophobic and overbearing. Just a warning to any who want to try and play season 5, be prepared to literally not make a single choice that matters, be forced to be with three different people who you have rejected numerous times, and experience having a voice that literally does not matter.

This version of LoveIsland is exactly like the other love island app from fusebox. after the last update, all my progress and my purchases from the original first three seasons were erased. There was no compensation for this change, and now there are duplicate apps with the same content. We were given very little notice of this adjustment as well. Additionally, the prices for in-app purchases has skyrocketed in the last few years. Be prepared to have to buy gel bundle after gem bundle just to have a meaningful relationship with any of the love interests. Speaking of love interests, it’s clear that they have given up on writing well-written and interesting characters. Every LI is practically the same character with a difference avatar. There used to be real differences in each LI, but the way they write the romance and characters now is pathetic. If you are thinking of downloading LoveIsland, please ignore the ratings. Those are the ratings for the original three seasons. The seasons that are available now on LoveIsland (4-7), are a sharp decline in quality from the original. I’ve been playing this game since the first season, and I’ve finally gotten sick of the garbage writing LoveIsland now has. Please consider another app over this. Using your imagination would honestly be better than reading this crap.

please listen to the opinions of your demographic!!!! so many people are starting to stop playing!!!! we all comment and do surveys and it feels like you always deliver the opposite of what we asked for. last season was on the track to being a good season and getting back to love islands original quality. this season is rough. who okayed these character designs? who decided on the amount of gems for choices and for customization. speaking of customization it was literally horrible for this season? like worse than it’s ever been? the skinny body type is so unrealistic she looks sick. I just think you guys could’ve put more care and thought into the game. i’m happy we didn’t have to wait a year for a new one but i’d honestly rather wait a year than get this questionable quality. I am someone who always spends gems on this game as I have the income to do so but it’s very disheartening and makes me not want to support you guys and spend money on gems when you aren’t even improving gameplay and designs with that money or listening to your users. please do better than this, it feels like y’all are not trying.

After playing Too hot to handle, I can write this confidently saying this game is absolutely ridiculous. You’re having us SPEND money on choices that have NO repercussions. I can switch my love interest millions of times in these seasons and do whatever I want and the other characters do NOT care at all. There’s absolutely no branching, the writing is terrible, character customizations is okay but, you guys really need to up your game. It’s so hysterical how this game has literally downgraded from the previous seasons (1-3)…. I’m in shock. I wish you guys would ACTUALLY listen to the people spending HUNDREDS on your game and please just please take more time writing. I want to be able to replay the season to explore different love interest but it’s so discouraging when all the routes are the same and the ‘different’ love interests all say the same thing…..word for word. I’m surprised to say that I’ve kept playing for this long but you guys have serious competition now against a team that doesn’t use ai for writing, actually listens to their customers, doesn’t make you spend hundreds on choices that don’t even matter, and actually has a BRANCHING storyline.

The Ex season has potential. The art style of MC is pretty bad. Hate the face shape and face features. Like the piercing options. Love the body options too. Hairstyles also not poc friendly. No braids, Afro… etc. I hate how much LoveIsland tries to pander to kids instead of adults. This show is for adults. Stop trying to make this game so kid friendly its weird. SEASON 4. Wow after the finale this has been a huge disappointment of a season. Only slightly better then season 3 which was completely a friendship island. I don’t think I’ll play this again based one season 4. This is barely a Love Island game at this point. The ending was so terrible. Choices don’t matter. All LI have the same dialogue. Lesbian LI goes with a guy if you don’t pick them??? MC has a backbone only sometimes. So many recouplings, dumplings sucked. Couldn’t tell how many days passed. Way shorter than previous seasons but stretched to seem long. Terrible especially midway through to the end. Oliver gets so little time with MC. Kelly didn’t even matter but she’s advertised everywhere. Terrible game and terrible season. Don’t think I’ll be playing again, Fusebox doesn’t care about the readers or the game.

Seriously, you’re going to write in the game this gross pressure to buy outfits and private chats but force us to spend our hard earned money on this game. It’s like if I don’t spend money, my choices are made up for me. You have to spend money to change the outcome and that would be okay if there were other ways to get the coins. Like watch ads or quests like Bombshell had for Ex on the Beach. I used to enjoy this game and now I close LoveIsland halfway through a chapter because it’s annoying, I don’t want the MC to end up with either of the guys she’s being forced to chat with, I just feel like this entire game is a scam to get us to spend our money to make a difference in the outcome.

And let’s circle back to the gross pressure to buy stuff. It’s not just one time asking. I’m being asked 3 times now “are you sure you don’t want this outfit? Yours is…. Boring” “you just won’t stand out! You’ll be outshined by me” gross. Stop. We’re not doing this.

Let my choices make a difference, stop desperately begging me to spend money, give us chances to earn coins and stop with the disgusting display of “peer pressure” to buy stuff. Just let people enjoy the game even if they can’t afford to shell out money for it

I’ve already seen many reviews written out that agree with the sentiment of the title. I was devoted fan and follower of Love Island: The Game from Season 1 all the way to Season 4. S1 and S2 were my favorites. S3 wasn’t great, but at least the islanders were nice to us. S4 was pushing it but they had some good love interests. But it all comes down to whatever abomination S5 is. None of the choices you make affect anything because it’s a linear style of story (unlike previous seasons where your choices actually mattered). Spending gems on “special” scenes don’t change anything either and I was dumb enough to think it would. Almost every single islander is outright toxic, manipulative, gaslighting, and a total snake to the MC. It feels like no matter what we do, we’re always the villain. Just when you think someone is starting to go your way, you get backstabbed. It’s pretty disgusting.

Also, not very important, but the outfits for S5 are just… why? Do the writers even know what women like to wear? I kid you not, the female characters talk about ‘night makeup’ that they put on before bed. Nobody does this.

I don’t know what the new team is thinking or what made them believe that this new method of storytelling was a good idea. But I hope for their sake that they take notes of what everyone is saying and fix it if they plan on making another season. Because I sure am not supporting Fusebox anymore if it’s anything like S5.

Ex in the Villa is the worst season yet. I’m sorry, but as someone who has been actually cheated on and gave several second chances to that person. I refuse to ever waste my time on that again. But no you don’t get that option the entire time you are still pinning for them even when you don’t want to be. There is still a tone of you wanting them back. It’s stupid. Plus you have two choices this season Alfie or your ex. I don’t care for either option. All the male personalities are players, none actually genuine. The ex story doesn’t make sense as you dated for a year and than he goes on about all the Christmas’s spent together the most it could be was 2. Not only that but technically he cheated on the main character for MONTHS, before sleeping with that person. But they act like it’s not a big a deal and everyone does it/ it’s normal to flirt with another person and hide it while in a serious relationship. I’m sorry, but this season is ridiculous. Take me back so season 2 when there was actual story and decent characters.

Do yourself a favor and download the original Love Island with seasons 1-3, because seasons 4 and 5 on LoveIsland is horrible! Your choices don’t matter at all! You barely get to flirt or be with a good LI until later on in the stories when there’s only 5 episodes left! Most of the time your mc is either playing the background or getting attacked left and right from other islanders, with mc having no backbone. Mc barely gets to graft, and that’s really what’s really the problem, because Love Island is all about grafting/flirting. The stories are not great and honestly at this point, fuse box should beg the old writers to come back! It’s obvious the new writers don’t watch the actual show and really messed up a good thing. The reviews are not lying, the game is really that bad. Also not spending 50 to 70 gems on those ugly furry outfits. That’s ridiculous! Fuse box needs better artist too! The outfits, hair, and clothes for seasons 4 and 5 don’t even compare to the looks and clothes you get from seasons 1 to 3. Hire the old team back!

Just noticed how you deleted my review and apparently many others. It’s saying 69 reviews but I know there been a ton more than that. Even with you guys deleting them you still can’t get the star rating about 2 now ever since the ending was put out. Season 4 is the WORST season yet. Don’t believe me? Play it for yourself and don’t forget to leave an honest review. Customization horrible - no gender picking, no body picking.. can’t even pick face shape? My MC was so hard to make halfway decent. Story could’ve been better and challenges weren’t even challenges.. you’re set up to win and learning about other characters doesn’t really matter. No real consequences in this storyline. And not even a choice of love(split money) or money lol such a joke. I’ve got tickets and gems on the other app that will now never be used either so thanks for that. You did everyone dirty including the OG team you fired - rumored - if true.. look how great that worked out for you.

Re-downloaded LoveIsland because it said new season. Read the recent reviews and not even going to bother with it honestly. Delete.

the mc for season 5 was so freaking hideous i had to rate the game 1 star😐 i’m so serious when i say the art for the characters has gotten so bad ever since the first game (the best season being s2 ofc🙄 lol) the anatomy is inaccurate for one but even if that were a style choice, it looks just really really bad😐 it’s even worse that it’s the mc who looks the worst out of everyone. but s5 took the ugly to another level bc the artist couldn’t even get the black skin tones right in the other characters. like why are they so desaturated they literally look gray. everything about the second app is just worse than the first app, like they put no care into it. no casa amor, no dialogue that feels specific to your choices, no inside jokes or running gags, one dimensional characters. i only played most of s4 bc i rly liked bruno. that was until the very end when it seemed like he lost his personality and was just “mc’s partner” i just didnt feel like finishing it. i’m mostly mad that the mc got UGLIER like i really didn’t think it was doable i’m so upset😭😭😭😭😭 the art used to be my favorite part of the game in s1 and s2💔😔

I literally just left a review, but I’ve since been playing Season 5 and it’s awful in comparison to the others. There is nonstop drama, and I know it’s for entertainment purposes, obviously, but there’s so much sketchy stuff happening in this newest season!! You can’t really customize your character like you used to be able to do in earlier seasons. Everything costs an arm and leg!! It’s nearly impossible to just play without the constant pressure to buy gems with real money to wear certain outfits. Another thing, everybody is so mean and two faced on here! Like Suresh is bad enough all on his own, but then all of the other guys are also just really not into your character at all! No matter how you choose to play it!! I’ve tried switching from overly nice and kind and taking a more aggressive approach, no matter how you play it, it’s almost the same kind of results every-time and again, way too much hate, drama, & bullying happening!! Really disappointed as this used to be my favorite game ever! I’ve also been looking forward to the new season so much and have still been giving it a chance, even after I’ve been feeling unhappy with how it’s going. It’s just getting worse and actually stressing me out in real life! It’s supposed to be somewhat of a fantasy or relaxing kind of past time isn’t it, these games? I’m not getting that vibe at all anymore sadly. I hope there will be some changes.

I have been playing this game from the moment it came out and I was loving all the stories. I purchased so much. I easily spent $$$ worth of diamonds and tickets. I was sup to date in all the stories and waiting for the next one. Only to find out it will got wiped. All the stories I read were as if I have never read them. I even logged out and logged back in.. nothing. I reached out to their customer service where they asked me for proof through screenshots and videos. They even asked me for proof of purchase which I gave them. They told me to give them a couple of days.. I did. They never reached out so I reached out myself. Then they said “48 hours” and so I waited. Again.. nothing. So I reached out again only for them to say they didn’t find any data on my issue. WHAT!! How disappointing on my end to not only have waisted so much money but all the clothes, hair, jewelry, shoes, and extra scenes and storylines that I purchased all GONE!!!
This is so unprofessional and wrong.
I would have been happy with credit to repurchase all I had lost. I would have happily re-read the stories and repurchased my lost items and scenes. But no. Nothing. I won’t be risking any more money or time on LoveIsland unless they reach out and fix this issue and reimburse me accordingly.

Season 1 was engaging enough for me to play season 2 (which I have replayed multiple times). Season 3 was okay. Season 4 started out well but crash landed and season 5 was just boring. At the end of season 5 I didn’t care who I picked , or that Bobby from season 2 was the MC, or the speeches or dates….today’s three episodes were quite frankly just a last minute money grab. While the art was good for season 5 the story was lackluster, choices meh, opportunity to get to know other islanders and number of islanders was practically non existent. The rating could have def been rated for 12+ not 17+ and frankly I didn’t want to play a kids game. Know your audience-which you obviously no longer do. Your competition “CoupleUp” is def worth waiting for, IF fusebox comes out with a season 6 I won’t be following updates. You guys peaked at season 2 and it’s been downhill from there. It’s too bad, I really enjoyed the game for awhile and was def interested in giving each new season a chance but I’m done now. I don’t know what is going on with story writing and willingness to have the same complexity of season 2 but unfortunately I am no longer interested in the game. I’ll start off saying I really loved the first app of the love island game with the first few season, they were super fun to go through! That being said, after going through the two newer seasons, I’m not very impressed. The overall tone has shifted with this new app and seasons. The clothes for one are much uglier, and the game heavily pushes you to spend money every single chapter buying new ones which gets tiring. I feel like in these last two seasons, particularly 5, my choices did not matter whatsoever. To avoid spoilers, the entire season is spent trying to pair you up with one particular character that I found quite detestable and no matter how many times I picked the option to decline them and move on with literally any other character option offered, it always goes back to them. This factor alone quite turned me off from the game and I’m not sure I’ll play any further seasons. The character writing has become abysmal and the chapters are so much shorter than they used to be (all while the time it takes to get tickets to play the chapters takes way too long. Waiting one hour for maybe 8 minutes of game is straight up laughable to me.) Such a shame this game took quite the downturn, I would avoid.

I have been playing the love island games since season 1 was released. I have played all seasons, 1 & 2 many times because they were my favorite. Season 3 went downhill, 4 was worse and now season 5, ex in the villa is the WORST! The extreme lack of options is ridiculous. Some of the characters have distorted, weird attributes and aren’t attractive at all. Their hairstyles are awful, and some of their eyes and faces look distorted and out of proportion. Season 1 & 2 were 10-15 for most outfits. Now, the cost of gems for some outfits is between 10-70. Many of the outfits are ridiculous, over the top and hideous. Shoes are separate from the outfits, but you can’t even see them while playing. What is the point in spending gems on shoes if you can’t even see them? There is basically one route no matter what “choices” you make. They force the same characters on you whether you like them or not. There’s only a few more episodes left in the season and MC still hasn’t been in a good couple. This season has been extremely disappointing. I am hoping that the ending somehow makes up for it, sadly though I have a strong feeling it won’t. I use to buy gems on the original game. I will definitely not be buying any now.

Let’s see if they don’t delete this 4th post. Long-time LITG supporter. Had enough of being forced into one-sided relationships. Season 4 was James. Now this season is both Alfie and Suresh. It’s angering and claustrophobic. Makes me feel trapped in unwanted situations without the ability to speak up. Even having a conversation with Alfie, the only options are to kiss him or hug him?!? How about being able to tell him to stop being delusional and possessive over his imagined relationship with the MC. The MC doesn’t get any say in who she speaks with and is constantly ambushed by unwanted company. This is not an interactive game. That would mean there are actual choices and those choices matter. Also… how about calming down on the pathetic attempts to pressure us into buying outfits? Lastly, how about paying attention to the poor reviews and fixing the issues identified instead of deleting poor reviews so people don’t know what they’re getting into. These low reviews are from LITG fans who used to love the game and are angry at the rapid decline in the quality and heart of this game. For those who say these low ratings are inaccurate and if we don’t like the game we should stop playing, I’m way ahead of you. Quit mid-episode 9 when it first dropped and deleted the game from my device. I think anyone who cares about quality writing and not being put in awkward, toxic situations also should.

Season 5 of Love Island the Game is possibly one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Let’s list everything they’ve done wrong so far;

First, unlike the other seasons and Love Island the TV show, you don’t start off with 10-11 characters. You start off with 7. That already is annoying enough. Then, you don’t get to know ANYTHING about our character other than she is Suresh’s ex, that’ll continue until the current episode. We can’t choose an occupation or anything. Next, your character isn’t allowed to dress herself or pick out her own clothes, the girls have to do it for you. If you don’t wear what they say, they basically bully you. About the bullying, it’ll continue throughout the whole game. Every single person that comes in will treat your MC like dog crap. The guys aren’t interested in you, other than Suresh (which he’ll still flirt and couple up with other girls) and Alfie (who will come up to you every episode to see if you’re interested in him). If you’re interested in girls, who cares? Not Fusebox. They’ll have it so Dana gets every girl who comes in. Every episode is about who can bully MC the hardest or how she’s Suresh’s ex. It’s exhausting and not worth the download. Plus, they’re trying to charge 50 gems for outfits and A LIPSTICK. C’mon now.

Replay season 2 and get a loyal boy, have an MC with a backbone, read interesting dialogue, and there’s ACTUAL character development!

The new season (season 5) of Love Island the Game is literally just “let’s see how long we can force players to put up with being berated, gaslit, and forced into an emotionally abusive relationship before they either delete the game or literally lose their minds”. The characters are all terribly written and hateful (except for two, who will likely become terribly written and hateful within another update or two), the storylines are laughable in how much of a leap each character makes to drag MC through the mud only for everyone to forget literally the next episode and get mad at MC for daring to still be upset. LITG has been GARBAGE since FuseBox fired their old writing team and this is truly a new low. Love Island The Game is not a dating sim anymore. It is a “get abused and gaslit” sim. And Fusebox has deleted thousands of reviews and paid people to fraudulently rate it five stars to try and hide that fact. DO NOT be fooled by the 4-star rating of LoveIsland, it is NOT reflective of the quality of storytelling or even artwork that Fusebox is putting out these days. Find your interactive story fix elsewhere if you value your sanity and your ability to make choices that matter, as Fusebox would clearly rather be writing terrible movies than interactive games with branching storylines.

It’s ridiculous how the reviews were erased since the start of the new season, ‘Ex in The Villa’ thinking that players would instantly love this season, it doesn’t, if anything season five is the worst of all seasons. We barely have any choice on the matter of what our MC is thinking, her goal, & who she is as a person. In real life any normal person would leave the villa, so far the MC have been played by majority of the guys inside the villa & by her so called “friends” who are all nosy in her business with her ex. This honestly feels like our ex’s story rather than OUR story. What made Love Island the game, was picking our secrets, having reactions on what’s going on, etc. That’s all been taken away in this season & it’s very underwhelming. At least in season four, we had choices & had our own backstory rather made up by us by this developer & an ex that can be triggering for so many players own experience. Do better FuseBox or stop entirely of this madness as your consumers are blatantly tired of this. I’ll say things would get better, but after the mess of a so called Love Island S4, I seriously doubt it would get better but we can only have to wait & see.

Double Trouble is hands down the worst, right next to Ex in the Villa. Ex in the Villa had so much potential, but they won’t allow you to couple up w who you want. Suresh is beyond annoying and not even cute to look at. Double trouble takes the cake for me, Amelia literally takes everything from the MC! I coupled up w Jamal, she came n as a bombshell and stole him, they forced me onto Roberto. We get to Casa Amor and she steals Marshall…and get back to the villa and doesn’t want either of them, & wants the bombshell boy, that would literally be my only other pick…Toby. Toby immediately comes in all about Amelia, get no alone time w Jamal or Marshall. Literally forced to pick girls or guys I don’t want at all!
The idea of having the twin sister come n to take everything from the other sister instead of be a team is so crazy, and on top of that, they give you options to “air her out” about what she’s doing. Like the MC is just there, being tossed around like lettuce.
Stick or Twist was the best by far but it’s not as long as the other ones…might replay to get a different outcome. Bombshell is okay, I don’t see the MC partnering w anyone outside of James whom is not that attractive…
This game needs 100x more! The outfits the features the choices, and not charge you real money, like 29 gems for something you will eventually find out is crazy. Give us more choices and better looking characters please!

After the catastrophe that is season 4, I was hoping on some stroke of luck that season 5 would be better but god was I wrong. I want to give it the benefit of the doubt and see where it goes but at this point I’m just disappointed. The “volumes” are way too short, they never used to split days between episodes before why now; having to wait a whole week to see what happens next, makes me want to quite playing; AND THE DAY AND NIGHT CYCLE IS STILL SCREWED. The storyline had so much potential but Suresh is really giving psycho ex, I can get the point with you being stuck with him but he just can’t take no for an answer; and forcing characters onto the MC as we have said many times before WE DON’T LIKE IT. The art style could be way better, it’s as if no thought was put into the outfits and with the lack of POC hairstyles; season 4 was way more impressive. The Devs clearly don’t care anymore or just don’t listen to their players, it feels like it’s all for the money than actually making good content.

If you never fired the old team, you would actually have a game people would love again like the first couple of seasons. We would rather you take your time and create a game with a great storyline and character customization instead of the trash you continue to give us.

I like the game but come on waiting 4,5,& 8 hours for free gems is ridiculous. I can see 3 maybe 4. But 5&8 hours is crazy. We already have to pay to go play nowadays for every game to be more enjoyable but wow! I use to come back and get free gems until they slowly for almost two whole weeks for new chapters but it’s not even worth waiting to redeem free gems and saving them. You literally chose what decisions and scenes you want based on gems which I understand. But if you have for ex, say 50 gems a choice of clothing can cost like 28 or 30 and then you’re stuck with wanting to make a cool choice then your down to like 8 then have to wait a long axx time again for more gems. Y’all can at least make it more suitable with the gems and tickets. Also, why can’t y’all let us chose cute clothes rather than fancy for like 5 gems instead of ten. What if I only had 10 gems at the time? Then I have to wear the same clothes the entire story. Then after that I won’t be able to make the cool choices I want or other cool decisions due to not enough gems or run out. Sorry but the game is decent but a rip off.

SMDH so season 4 I didn’t finish I got bored and gave up hoping that season 5 will have some improvements since 4 was boring and the dialogue were not good interesting. However season 5 is a dumpster fire, I know fuse box hasn’t been doing too well since season 2 and all the drama that followed but come on now. The concept isn’t bad but the execution isn’t were it goes wrong. Having an EX in the villa is one thing but this season is so toxic!! The MC isn’t the main Interest to anyone. AND SHES THE MAIN CHARACTER! Ok not EVERYONE needs to like the MC but the only person into MC is the ex and he doesn’t take “no” for an answer. If someone tells you no it should be end of the constant pushing the ex and MC together is disgusting and at this point. I know y’all don’t like hearing too much negative and have been deleting bad comments, but honestly just take notes, take this on the chin, and try and improve. Again, season 2 was great! Season 3 felt like a summer camp but wasn’t too bad and season 1 was a trial but was pretty good as well. If you need more writers, developers or employees branch out and hire. A lot of people of the Reddit do stories themselves and many of them are AMAZING!! Some also to custom characters which are fantastic as well.

As someone who has been playing every season live since S1, I can definitively say that S5 is absolutely the worst season of Love Island The Game - it is genuinely baffling to me how far the quality has dropped. The characters are one dimensional, not swayed by your choices, and even the player character feels flat compared to other seasons. So much is behind a paywall that I feel I’m barely playing the game, but there aren’t ways to earn enough diamonds to fully participate without paying money. One scene I did pay diamonds for was not only super short but also didn’t have any effect on the game and how a character treated me, making it feel worthless. Not only that, but I’ve seen multiple typos in various dialogue or descriptions which only further reinforces my view that this season was created with a very tight deadline and quick turnaround that didn’t allow for the same quality of storytelling as previous seasons. I was already not a fan of the new app but willing to go along for the ride last season because there were fuller characters to pursue and more achievements that awarded diamonds, but this whole season feels slapdash and honestly almost insulting. I really hope Fusebox is able to come back from this but honestly after this season my hopes are not high at all.

The first & second app are crazy different but season 1&2 will always be the best. I didn’t mind spending money because of all of the serotonin I got from playing that it seemed worth it & im not the type to spend money on games, always felt futile. 2nd app is tanking & it’s tanking FAST! They no longer let you graft with everyone in the villa (where the showed a map of the villa & you can choose who you’d like to speak to), they don’t do the private questions in the hut, or even give control of the narrative to the MC really. They’re pushing their own & for that, I might as well play Chapters and/or Episodes. At least when you play those story telling apps, you can watch videos to earn more diamonds. The story doesn’t even follow the basis of the show anymore. Writers literally do their own thing without listening to it’s CONSUMER as a company should. I miss the old writers :/ Also, no one has pointed out there only being 3 girls & 4 boys. Did they get lazy? Why is that? It makes no sense….

I mostly love this game, don’t get me wrong. But y’all truly need to release more than 3 episodes a week. It’s nothing. You’re giving us scraps. This weeks content was honestly a let down and I truly can’t believe I need to wait 7 days to get back into the villa after I’ve been totally pied off by my sister. It’s crazy. I should be able to tell that girl off too. Better options and I feel like our choices should matter more. Another example, Elliot picks us no matter how we treat him so we are just taken against our will (in my case) & then everyone in casa is acting like we are married but actually I don’t give a heck about him. Just kinda takes you out of it when I rejected him at every opportunity & he chooses me anyway. It just wouldn’t happen. And if you pursue Marshall, he pies you regardless which is drama and that’s fine but the fact that we really can’t let them have it and call them out is lame.

This season is an improvement like leaps and bounds over the disaster that was ex in the villa but I still feel like small/rare releases and high gem amount choices is robbing us of a good experience. This game has potential to be 5 stars.

I really enjoy this game but the amount of diamond choices is seriously out of control. There are times when you'll get 3 diamond prompts in a row! And the dialogue for these prompts is soooooo long. Half of the game is the characters trying to convince you to spend diamonds. You miss a ton of the plot if you try to get through without spending any real world money. Not to mention, if you do the math, the diamonds are so expensive! There's no way I could justify spending $2 on a single interaction! I could see myself buying more diamonds if the options were cheaper and my money would stretch further.

The ticket system is also pretty frustrating. I'm the type of person who wants to sit down at the end of the day and play several episodes rather than play one episode every several hours. With the ticket system, especially with how long it takes to earn new ones, I'm much more likely to completely forget about the game. I'm sure I'm not the only one. And if you do buy tickets, you will not accumulate anymore until you're back to 0. Very annoying.

I really think that the game is well thought and the plot twist and storylines are quite entertaining. However, I really wish that we could reject people that we aren’t interested in and have more opportunities to go for the people we really want.

In tempting fate I desperately tried to couple up with Theo because he was the only one I liked out of the og boys but the game didn’t let me. So I coupled up with Oakley but tried to keep it casual like a friend couple and tried to graft on Theo. I have literally chosen everyone except Tyler over Oakley and was happy that he got dumped but the game annoyed me with bringing him back. After Casa I just tried to be happy with max and show everyone how into him I am but the others just weren’t focusing on their own couples. It is so annoying that the game didn’t give you the opportunity to friend zone people or tell them you aren’t interested.

I would also love to have the opportunity to be more mean to people and show them that I don’t like them but instead the character just forgets about most of the stuff. Another bad aspect is that you don’t have to opportunity to say that you aren’t interested in any of the characters yet. I would also like to have the first seasons back since they were the most entertaining ones. Overall it’s a nice game and I feel like with some improvement of the characters and the choices it would be lovely to play.

I was a huge fan of the old Love Island app which brought me to playing this one, but I found myself very dissatisfied with the major differences between the two apps. To start off, the fact that it seems like the characters are trying to push you into spending more diamonds on choices that reveal information that doesn’t really affect the story and/or are made out to seem way more spicier than they actually are at times is very off putting. It would be different if these choices weren’t so high all the time but quite literally almost every single diamond choice (clothing included) is nearly 20 diamonds, while the $5 diamond pack is only 65 diamonds, so you’ve run out again after purchasing by only making three choices. Plus, the fact that we’re forced to watch ads after every single chapter, I’d hope we’d at least be granted with more diamond deals to create a sort of balance. And the whole having to wait 4 hours just for two tickets isn’t it either, maybe 2 hours for 2 would be better, but only receiving one after so long is disappointing. It just seems that LoveIsland is less focused on the fun of the game and the storylines and more on making money. Definitely makes the game less fun. The characters are fun and interesting and the game overall would receive 5 stars from me if changes in these areas were made.

Season 2 was the best season. It had so many different outcomes that made you wanna play over and over. Season 3 was very boring. Then came Bombshell which wasn’t any better. The narrative is so forced. No matter who you chose the dialogue doesn’t change. I was so excited to see what Ex on the Beach had in store and I am utterly disappointed!!! It seems like it’s been written by a child honestly. Then it’s so freaking restricted, you basically have no freedom of choice. They’re forcing you to be with Suresh or Alfie and I really don’t get that or understand it. I’m just so infuriated because I really like Love Island but it has become trash. I also feel like they are pushing the lesbian thing in your face way too much. If I don’t like women, why keep saying she’s looking at me in certain ways. It’s so cringe. Whoever came up with the concept for season 2 need to return because this is not it for me.

The new season “Double Trouble” is so refreshing compared to the first two seasons. I really like how many more choices have been included to choose from and the diverse character creation. The only issue is the currency. It’s so clear how desperate the developers want the readers to spend real money on the diamonds/passes. You need money, I get it. We all do. But, maybe make it to where its actually worth spending money? It’s not incentive enough to spend when all you get is a lame compliment from the game characters for buying a 20 diamond swimsuit. You feel me? Some ideas I have in mind is you could offer a monthly/yearly vip subscription for unlimited passes & 5 diamonds a day? Just add anything to make the in-game purchases more reasonable. Also, a 5 hour wait to watch 1 ad for 1 diamond when things cost 10 diamonds and up is absolutely absurd. At the very least, maybe add surveys? Adding more adverts to watch for diamonds like 1 every 30 minutes will benefit LoveIsland greatly considering how low the reviews are. Just throwing ideas out there, I want nothing but success for the developers since I really do love this game! Wish you all the best and hoping you’ll consider my advice as a hardcore simulation gamer!

First three seasons on the other app were amazing but season four felt really kind of like forced as to who your friends with and stuff I love Angie but no one even asked me if I wanted her to be my best friend the game just decided. Still an enjoyable playing though just not quite as good but then season five is so much worse despite the fact that Alfie is the only guy I have zero attraction to the game has seriously forced me into being with him despite trying to do everything in my power not to be and then tried to guilt trip me for not liking him. I’m stuck with my jerk ex for the first 18 episodes and then when it finally feels like we’re getting somewhere and I’m like OK maybe I will give us another chance he goes right back to being a total jerk and then not picking me up at re-coupling which took over a third of the season to get to and I’m forced to be with either Alfie or become Bi even though I’m not this is definitely the most toxic season they’ve ever done to nobody except for Alfie and maybe Dana aren’t awful nonstop fighting nonstop drama honestly I’m like stressed out playing the game I honestly wanted to be voted off the island. I’m seeing people are liking season six so hopefully next season will be better if it’s not I think I’m done with the game.

so i’ve never played these games as majority of the comments have and are complaining, so this is an unbiased review here. i played bombshell and really enjoyed it. i’d rate that alone 4 stars :) i ended up being bruno’s girlfriend! i’m barely starting the ex in the villa. but overall i’d say there needs to be improvements in every department. i’ll admit i spent money on gems / tickets but only bc i was impatient and didn’t wanna wait a total of 4 hours for 2 tickets.

that’s problem number one for me. at least give us 4 tickets bc it’ll be 1 ticket every hour basically. 2 hours seems too long, especially since some episodes are VERY short / irrelevant (a musical really iykyk). I saw that pattern in bombshell. my second issue is customization. not a lot of free options available but i guess that’s what makes YOU purchase gems from the creators. it’s giving Episode vibes which i hate. my other complaint is there’s only 2 seasons available ? the bombshell and ex one. idk where the other seasons ppl are saying are but yeah.

I’ve been playing this game since the first season so I’ve had the pleasure of watching it evolve, watching the writing get better, the graphics get better. I’ve long preferred this game over games like Episode or Choices for one, albeit small, reason; there was no pressure to make premium choices. The other characters didn’t guilt you into spending money on time alone with them, or for picking a standard outfit, like they do in Episode. But that seems to have gone away this season and frankly I’ve found myself disappointed. It was the one thing that made this game stand out. It didn’t feel like a pay-to-win game but now…

Also just a cheeky heads up, I’m all for lesbian rights and I absolutely applaud the consistent diversity throughout the seasons, but it’s okay to show MLM relationships too!! Have two of the male islanders pair off, provide an option for the MC to be male or gender non-conforming! There’s an entire demographic you’re missing out on here lol

Just started playing season 6 and it is already better than season 5. Happy to see y’all listened to our criticism. The MC design is way better than the design y’all had before. Love the addition of the “chubbier” body type. The other characters in this season have personality and they all attractive. They are all unique in their own way. The storyline isn’t forced like it was with ex in the villa. The MC has more options to choose from now, and she isn’t limited in who she can pursue. This is the first time after season 4 and 5 that I have actually felt some kind of an attraction to the male characters. Beautifully done, especially Ryan. I love the cliffhangers, and it makes me wish this season was completed already. I’m predicting Zeph’s arrival in the future, but I hope you guys have a different story line in plan. Predictable stories aren’t that interesting.
Overall, I love it and can’t wait to see where the story goes.
But you guys have to make the diamond choices a bit cheaper or give us the option to play ads. Don’t understand why you guys won’t go down that route? You guys will end up making more money that way and the players can get more diamonds too. Like others are staying, 10 adds for 10 diamonds? Things like that. Give us that option.

I loved season one and two of love island. But Season 5 IS REALLY BAD! as I play as the main character I am always truthful and faithful yet everyone I get with cheats on me people lie and bully you and you can’t defend yourself everything is expensive and cause a ridiculous amount of gyms in this season and the storyline is just pathetic everyone tries to get with you but no one chooses you who you truly want like Finn. I can’t believe Nicholas I thought he was a good guy and then he wanted me to go along and be sneaky to stay in the game and they betrayed you and lied and manipulated making it seem like it was your idea the storyline is just horrible all around you guys have failed going forward you guys need to do way better. The last thing is you have no way of earning gems at least in all the four seasons of love island you earned gems after completing each chapter and you have to pay for everything for the 5th season 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Boring, but the outfit choices ( and I’m sorry if this sounds harsh) but they are kind of ugly and they cost a lot of gems. My character looks so awkward the way she is standing and the clothing fits awkwardly as well. I’m also a little disappointed that we are not able to earn more free gems. If I remember correctly before we were able to watch some adds and get some free gems but that option has been completely removed. Please go back to how the original stories and characters used to look like and feel !

My all time favorite season was season two with lottie and I hope they can bring it back someday and the art was phenomenal.

But I’m currently on the twin season and I absolutely enjoy it 💜 just what the doctor ordered for this lonely single girl 😉 it’s just a nice way to live vicariously and have a bit of one on one time with some characters. Sounds a bit odd maybe but well all the same I enjoy it

I have to say, I will not play any other interactive story game on the whole App Store, because they are trash! I think the stories are too sexualized I know this is but it’s based on love island the reality show and it doesn’t have any male bravado or degrading female stuff trash and garbage. Like you can actually have some real conversations. Other interactive story apps take note-you need some serious tips!!!

I can’t stand the overly “romanticized” and degrading stuff on the other apps, plus what ever happened to having the choice to not kiss or anything?!!! LoveIsland lets you have that choice, plus as I said there aren’t cringe convos over the top fakey romance, and I like that it gives the option to date someone of the same sex if you want.

Anyways sorry for the details but 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I actually LOVE this game and that’s why I’m frustrated. I’m not sure if the US version is different but online I’m seeing other versions where you get way more gem opportunities - like videos after each chapter that gives you a gem. I don’t have that. The version I have you only get between 0-2 gems for logging in each day, and then an option to watch two videos for a single gem each, once a day. And each gem storyline costs 10-29 gems. So essentially without spending a ton of money, you get a bland storyline. I know this is a typical model of these kinds of games, however with others like Chapters, Episodes, or Choices - there’s TONS of free opportunities for gems. It was more accessible and makes playing more fun. I don’t mind spending here and there but I can’t be spending 5 dollars for every single chapter it’s not sustainable. If this game had more opportunities for gems I would rate it 5/5.

I’m honestly not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I just finished season 4 of the love island game (also new to this and not sure where seasons 1, 2, and 3 are?) but it was absolutely incredible. The way it replicates with the actual show is fantastic. The characters, challenges, and recouplings, is all so much fun. I enjoyed playing this game over any other choices game similar to this. The lingo is spot on, being able to change clothes, earning gems, and just how similar the game is to the show is top tier. Kudos to the creators of this! Really hope they are working on another Love Island season because I need more more more!!
