I must have done something wrong because I didn’t see this do anything. It didn’t import contacts I had in my phone and when I deleted them it didn’t change my other contact lists. I didn’t see any functionality that made me say “this is great and I need this contacts app.” I was excited about this for like two years after I saw the marketing about it. The wait seems to have been for nothing.

I was quite interested in SunshineContacts because my contacts are always a complete mess. After setting everything up SunshineContacts uploaded all of my contacts to their servers for processing. This was a big red flag for me, but I read their privacy policy and decided to go with it. I would feel more secure if that was done on device. After processing for a few minutes I get an email saying the enhancements are complete. I open SunshineContacts and the only “enhancements” are just LinkedIn accounts added to some contacts. This is cool, but not really info I need in a contact. The best feature was showing emails from a user in their contact card. The design didn’t seem like an upgrade from Contacts or CardHop. Perhaps other people will get better “enhancements” but the ones I received left much to be desired. I ended up deleting my account for now. Will try again down the road.

(Also very nit picky but why did I have to add a picture for myself in a portrait size only for SunshineContacts to crop it to a square. It literally cut the top part of my head off in my own contact card)

I love the concept and I was really looking forward to the ability to search at a more granular level (~7000 contacts) but it appears that's not the focus of SunshineContacts .

It does as good job of suggesting merges and changes.

However, on the cleanup front, I was disappointed to learn that the cleanup functions (merge, info fill-in) don't update the contacts at their source (iphone, Google) and, instead, keep those additions at a layer above the source so I have to keep using Sunshine for everything. I want the changes sent back to the source so they're available everywhere.

I'm interested in following Marissa Mayer and curious about her new venture, though I find it amusing that she's using Google instead of Yahoo.

In my view, the contact app isn't fundamentally broken. Paying a third-party $5 a month for minimal additional functionality seems excessively expensive and unnecessary in its current form.

too easy to use. The info is presented simply and clearly so I don’t have to scroll or go far to find all that i need. Apple doesn't fair well with dense contacts and this one works like it’s nothing.

As simple as contacts are this makes it easier to manage. I’m actually very surprised how complicated contacts are.

It's a nice contact manager that cleans up some of your contacts if you like. It didn't do a whole lot for me and my 635 contacts, only 5 suggestions. It may do a lot for you if your contacts are in disarray.

Bit slow initially and I almost forgot about it but I got a notification 24 hours after install that they had completed some tasks for me

First time using an external iOS contacts app and this one impresses. Never knew I needed this great technology. Highly recommend this for anyone that wants organized, clean contacts in their phone.

My contacts have never been more organized! I love that I can archive contacts that I interact with less, and it’s cool how merging means all my extra info for a person is finally in one place.

Allows me to keep my business and personal contacts separate. Apple should really partner with this company. My contacts saved into my phone are in disarray. Will definitely recommend this to my friends and colleagues.

SunshineContacts is great for decluttering your contacts. I previously had many duplicates and SunshineContacts has merged them so my contacts are much more usable. It even creates contacts from people you email with by connecting your gmail. Amazing!

I have been an Apple user for probably 30 years and the only piece of the entire infrastructure that I’ve been completely frustrated with is the Contacts app and functionality. I’m constantly looking for another solution. I’ve tried them all I won’t even bother to list them there’s too many, when I saw the Sunshine description it sounded very much like many others I have tried However this one is the real deal

It worked the first try I didn’t lose anything it cleaned up my contacts. It syncs perfectly with iCloud and
LinkedIn and I’m about to try to sync it with Google as well so I can get all of my contacts into a single database.

Best contacts app I’ve tried so far, cleaned up my contacts far better than I’d expected and merging duplicates is weirdly addictive. Excited to see them building out more personal relationship management features, great start!

Years of contacts, and I have so many duplicates I'm often trying to figure out which one is active and which one isn't. SunshineContacts uses intelligence to solve that problem and has saved me countless hours.

I recently upgraded phones and lost tons of my contacts via Apple’s data transfer process. My heart dropped when I realized what happened.

Sometimes an idea comes around. That really makes sense. Having all your contacts in one place and be able to know as much information about each person is important. They have knocked it out of the park with organize contacts. Great job highly recommend it.

Finally finally finally. Sunshine has solved what is an ankle biting problem in the modern world. Contact organization should be easy but it’s not. And no one until now has been successful in correctly merging, De-duplicating & marking obsolete contact data. There’s hope that I’ll get Xmas cards to the right addresses next year!

My contacts have been a mess for a long time. The features provided by SunshineContacts has cleared most of the issues. It found a bunch of duplicates and was able to auto merge them. It gave me the option to change to full names for a bunch of the contacts and it even found some LinkedIns and I was able to connect to some of my friends!

I have been WAITING for an app to organize my contacts like how SunshineContacts does. It is making my life much easier, since I have to access my contacts constantly throughout the day for my job. THANK YOU SUNSHINE!!
