The unit that I purchased never worked from the time I took it out of the box. Specifically, it never tracked the action (Basketball). In addition, it constantly disconnects from Bluetooth, resulting in a bright blinking light that detracts players in the court. Instead of simply returning it for a refund, I made the mistake of working with tech-support. I uploaded many files, followed all of their requests and instructions to help them troubleshoot and improve the solution and device. I spent many hours working with them, all to the benefit of their company, but getting nothing in return. I finally said that I was going to return the unit, and support told me that they could handle the whole return and exchange on their end. I also believed that, and that was also a mistake. After several weeks of being promised, the new unit, I have not received any updates. Product functionality and support have been a major disappointment. I know this product works for a lot of people, but not for me, and they are not doing a good job of standing behind their product. I hope others have better luck than I did.

After using this for 2 seasons with my kids' two teams, I can NOT recommend this.
There are a number of issues with this while using for basketball.
- Bluetooth disconnects a LOT, I've tried with 3 different iPhones. So while I'm coaching, all the sudden it will disconnect, stop recording and then just kinda droop there sadly as it no longer tracks. Worse is that sometimes it will flash the camera light as warning. Imagine a game going on and there's a cell phone cam on a tripod w a strobing light pointed at the court/players/officials.
- Tracking is slooooow. If you're team that pushes and gets a lot of fastbreaks, you'll miss the action as it tries to catch up to the other side of the court.
- it doesn't pan over far enough. for coaching, I need to see where all the players are on the court and what they are doing. So not only is the panning slow, but a lot of players will get cropped out.
For now, I prefer to stick a camera on a tripod and place it at the end of the court w a wide angle. Then move to the other end at halftime when they change sides. I ONLY use this if there's not enough baseline space.
Unfortunately, you only realize these issues after using it for a bit and then that takes you past the return dates. I would return if I could.

I purchased the Xbot Go Chameleon for use with 11 v 11 soccer games and the unit has a hard time keeping up with the action. Too many times it falls behind the ball and is missing crucial plays when players are moving at an accelerated pace.
The unit also seems to get distracted very easily by crowds surrounding any side of field or if another soccer ball is detected in the field of view. The last game I tried using the Chameleon in, the camera kept getting stuck on a second team warming up to the right side of field. I got so frustrated I took the camera down because it was becoming a distraction for me.
It might be that other sports camera use a cropped wide angle image to follow the action where this is physically moving based on separate AI camera. I don’t know for sure but just speculating.
I had used it in a smaller scenario for Soccer practice and it seems to handle that better but for bigger tournaments or busier games I’m not sure this will be able to keep up.
I’m hoping these things can be addressed with some future firmware updates and called out specifically if or when improved, otherwise the return on investment might not be realized.
