I downloaded the game, I had a strong cellular connection and Wifi connection. No other tabs open. They game loaded very slowly and I got into the main game. As soon as I got to the part where I had to travel to the first spot everything froze. I tried to reclick the story option; nope nothing. No buttons were clickable, and no directions on how to move the Catara to the next spot. I reloaded the game three times after that and then just got a black screen with the only thing being clickable is the plain black screen and the gold ring appears and disappears (clicking animation). Overall, extremely disappointed because this game looked to have good gameplay, story, and graphics. Please fix this, I would love to play this if it worked.

I don’t usually leave reviews on apps, although this game is pretty disappointing, considering how much potential the show gives. Would love an immersive experience; I almost fell asleep playing the game. that never happens while watching the show. I would love to feel like I am the one doing the bending, and not just pressing a button to watch a bunch of actions be done for me

Typical gacha with TERRIBLE rates. Worse than Dokkan, worse than Fate, worse than BBS. The new update stops me from even opening the game after I had pulled way too many times just for the "best unit available" to be subpar. Simply not worth it, any other gacha is better. Honestly disgusting how they've ruined Avatar. I expected better from Square Enix, but after they ruined the Kingdom Hearts gacha, it makes sense they could never make a good one again.

Despite the numerous freeze glitching, I've managed to enjoy this game and have already put in over $100 into it. That is until I had a basically game ending glitch where the characters are essentially locked in limbo and I'm unable to progress the story any further.

I contacted support and none of what they told me to do worked, ie uninstall, reinstall etc.. When they realized they couldn't help any further, they basically said "oh well, hang in there" and proceeded to gift me 100 nature stones. You know what that's worth? About a dollar. It's good for nothing really, except for 1 summon in a gacha system. This after spending well over $100 on this game and continued to in good faith going this would get resolved. All for them to say "thanks for your patience, here's some trash" and close the chat.

You need to make this right

I was really excited to try out this game, and it looked great at first. Then I left, signed back in, and now all I can see is a black screen with a few symbols at the top, with music. Nothing on the black screen I click on does anything. The only way I can do anything is by signing out and starting all over. It seems like the game has crashed. I tried redownloading AvatarGenerations , closing out all other tabs, clearing out storage on my phone… nothing.

This game clearly needs some work. Maybe an updated version of the game will fix the problem.

After the introduction to the game there is a bug where it sends me to a menu that is completely dark, and all the buttons that you can see don’t do anything. This bug has prevented me from playing the game even though I love avatar! Please fix this bug so I can play!

After starting up the game I was able to play the first few missions and upgrade my characters but when backing out of Zuko’s page the game got stuck trying to load and when I restarted AvatarGenerations it said that I didn’t have enough space to play the game despite the fact that I had more than the listed amount (and had already clearly been able to play earlier), there is now no way for me to play. The game itself seemed fun but given I literally couldn’t play anything beyond the tutorial it absolutely deserves only one star.

I normally don’t leave game reviews but this one forced my hand. The way this game is built is extremely poor. You can only get Adventure coins (which you need to unlock the next zone) from redoing maps you’ve already completed and gaining any ascension items is a massive gamble. It’s severely pay to win when 99% of the game is PVE. The drop rates for new characters is ridiculously low so even after you gain 10 tickets you’re mostly pulling relics from character packs. The game has horribly balanced difficulty spikes for the amount of materials you gain. I am incredibly disappointed with how this game is set up for you to basically have to spend money if you want to make small advancements. This game needs some serious rebalancing otherwise you won’t have any players. Please fix this.

After some changes game is not bad, not as good as OUTERPLANE game that came out. Game went though some changes that made it better awhile back like watching an advertisement and getting 100 gems a day. Just save and pull on character you want and skip ones that don’t look as good from tier list.

Update, time to quit the game. They treat new players like crap on starting rewards.

So I’m overly obsessed with the anime, so my mom let me download the game but then ofc she did research and said that it’s actually 17+ instead of 12+ I didn’t even get to play it… so thats why I rated it one star. And i made my account like 45 or something because it wanted to confirm i was 12 (ofc my mom got really mad) but i just wanted to play the game.

This game clearly had no effort put into it, graphics look like it was made around 2010, the game is broken I’ve frozen on a screen once after playing for only 20 mins and the weakness UI straight up doesn’t work so I have no idea who’s weak or strong against who, the devs themselves know the game won’t succeed which is why there summon gates for a 10x is only valued at $5 which sounds nice except the gates summons materials, equipment, and characters which is a very 2010 mindset which makes me think this game was dug out of some old computer and was placed on AvatarGenerations Store seriously Nickelodeon might file a lawsuit against square Enix with how poor of a asset flip game this is. I’m uninstalling after this review because I cannot be bothered to give this game anymore of my time.

TLDR:

Tragic distortion of a beloved series. 3 different types of pull-able units. Run of the mill gameplay.

Story:

The story is very bare bones and doesn’t offer any new perspective on the Avatar Universe. The characters themselves are voice acted by new voice actors who try to sound like the original characters. The tutorial starts off like the tv show except that its very rushed through and hard to follow, and feels like they’re trying to get you as quickly as possible to the part where you give them money.

The Part Where You Give Them Money:

As soon as you finish the tutorial you’re bombarded with 3 daily login rewards, and 2 timed offers. Then there’s the gacha mechanics. Lets call it what it is, GAMBLING. The rates are subpar for SSRs. Not only that, but there’s THREE different things to pull for. Thats right, not one, or two, but three different pull-able units to gamble for. We have the main characters that you send into battle, support characters which buff your main characters, and relics which you equip to your main characters.

Gameplay:

After 30 minutes you’ll be the master of this system like most other gacha games. The battle system can be summed up as turn based, elemental, combo, BIG ATTACK.

This game was a blast. There was so much to do, true to Avatar the Last Airbender lore and building more on that. It seemed like it was well balanced with multiple objectives and activities to complete. A game that was easy to lose yourself to and you don’t have to pay a thing!

Sadly, with the most recent update, there have been ongoing bugs that seem to not be addressed. Events are rolled out that don’t show up until the event is over, therefore challenges remain incomplete or expired. Some even content is inaccessible or (due to bugs) you are not able to select from the event screen. Challenges are put in place that are not attainable as they address parts of the game that are only available at specific times (outside of the challenge window).

All in all it seems like the anticipation of so much “new” is degrading the quality of the game available to actually play. If this gets fixed, I’d be more than happy to adjust my review, but as I have reached out to CS and no update or progress has been made or even laid out, it will remain at 2 stars.

The reason this game is so bad is because they wanted to roll it out as soon as possible to catch onto the avatar hype but this is not how you do it:| people are not gonna forget so just take the much needed time:|
Im being generous with 2 stars, i love how it did have some work put into it but it seems like they had to meet a deadline instead of customer satisfaction, atleast i got a handheld Avatar game finally after years though so i appreciate the effort but i do hope future installments are in the work and given the time to be injected with hours if love.

The avatar IP deserves so much better. This seems like a game made by a first time studio, so I was willing to give it a pass as they were giving it their best. However I looked and saw it’s made by SQUARE. This is inexcusable. This would have been acceptable 5 years ago. The game is slow, half the time the systems don’t work as intended (trying to continue a stage and it says I’m out of energy.) There is a 3-5 second gap between the final blow and the enemy actually dying. They limit how much you can play the story, not thru energy, but thru adventure tokens needed to progress to the next level that only have a certain amount available per day. I’m hoping this game can improve but it needs a massive overhaul.

I couldn’t make it past what I assume was the tutorial. The game rehashed the first couple of episodes in a do-this-then-do-that format with little to no explanation of why and/or how. It was not just frustrating, it was boring.

There is an overuse of “scenes” from the show. If you try to skip the “clips”, you skip right over the actual gameplay for that segement as well. So the skip function is pretty much pointless.

The Rules or Help files (if any) weren’t evident. I’m sure there’s a fan wiki with information and/or explanations, but I’ve no interest in searching for it. I feel really disappointed in this, especially since some of the voice actors were quite enthusiastic about it.

I am a fan of the shows, and rewatch them frequently. This game just doesn’t fill the bill for me.

Seriously, you dont know how excited i was to download this game when i seen it. The turn based fighting style is terrible, the npcs attack you more then you attack them and when you finally get your special move, the battle is already over. You dont get any cool characters, only relics from tickets & like i said in the title if you arent prepared to spend real money then grinding will be boring & tiring! Please fix this game it has potential!

I should enjoy this more. Here lies the bones of a great idea poorly executed. It’s hard to tell if this was robbed of quality development or if Nickelodeon failed to put money behind this franchise yet again. Be warned - if you put money behind this project then you are sending the message that this level of quality is sufficient for an IP that I feel deserves more. A watermark has been set for games like this in the mobile market and there is little attempt to reach it. Animations are sluggish and out sync with the audio. Character animation frames vary, which I’ll concede, seems more like a limitation of the system they’ve chosen to use. Count the seconds between the final attack and the time it takes for enemies to fall unceremoniously face forward. Then log into a Marvel game or epic seven or Awaken Chaos Era or any other title that’s been developed in the last five years and measure the distance. This needs more time, more talent, and more money.

I’ve recently started playing this game, started last week no less and had been ignoring a good bit of the bugs, but now it’s to a point where I cannot even load into the game at all. When I do try to bypass everything and log in with my account, I keep getting an error stating that I don’t have a connection at all. I can’t even load into the game at all. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted apps that I don’t use, and it’s still an ongoing bug that keeps me from my content in game. The only reason this gets the rating it has now is because I did enjoy the game, but if I can’t get any help on this, then this game deserves NO STARS.

It’s great to finally have an Avatar game with great graphics, (compared to what one said 2010 graphics is a lie)! The problem is the typical problem you get with “turn based games”, computer goes fist every time & you get less turns than the computer! It’s also already geared around paying to build up your team!! Make it faster to do without paying & you got something!! Update! Still no change to the characters!! On the beginnings of the games story mode basically & you go up against level 50 opponents!! Trying to build your team is like pulling a stick from dried cement! Got one character stuck on level 30 without ascending pieces anywhere!! Have the same character skill level maxed out! To get that character to the next skill mastery, a requirement is 50,000 “strength”! The character is at 35,000 & maxed out as I said on skill!! Can’t get skill higher or even get the components to ascend past 30, how are we to get anywhere? The developers really want lower ratings than 3.4 & they want people to delete the game by not fixing these serious issues!! The developer is picking & choosing who they want to respond to!!

This game looked amazing on paper. Its got all the Characters you love, including Characters you never knew. Right out of the gate, the first few missions are fantastic, but if you can’t get your players leveled up you can forget getting anywhere in the story mode or in the arena. And all of the activities will be limited to what level you reach. This game is so heavily focused on pay to play that if you don’t, you can’t really play it and have fun. Skill coins need to be obtainable by normal game play. The game should be rewarding players with kick backs and incentives to keep going. It was also released too early. I thought the journey was going to take Young Aang and his friends from the south pole all the way to the fight against Fire Lord Ozai. Right now the game barely has the characters get to King Bumi. Oh and if your team is not at least all level 60 skills maxed out, Bumi will wipe the ground with your face. He is literally the hardest person in the game to fight. I could not beat him. If you download this game, good luck.

Once you get to a point in the adventure mode you are already going against lvl 40-50 enemies and can only hope to level up or ascend your characters to catch up. Took me around 4-5 days to get one character to be able to lvl up to lvl 30 alone. If you want to even play the game or get anything good then you better hope to have some money to spend cause the packs with decent stuff costs around $20 but I mean you could always just drop $100 for 1 five star character and more gems but nothing to lvl them up with.

Your typical run of the mill gatcha game, however this build isn’t the most stable. In my brief time playing the game, stages would often break out into masses of flashing colors. In addition after I made an account, I was unable to reload the game as it would consistently stop loading around 26%.

Edit: the day after I made this review, there was an update, and it fixed my issue, haven’t had any issues since, aside from occasionally quests not putting the party I’ve selected into the slots, making it so either part or all of the party is missing, and I have to close and re-open the game, or the quest becomes much more difficult or even unplayable in instances of a necessary character being unable to join

I love avatar and the concept of the game is nice but there a few thing holding me back from paying money. The game is extremely grindy with very long cooldowns. As is expected with most mobile games but usually within a day you will be able to grind enough to accomplish anything. With this game I’ve been playing every day multiple hours for months now and still haven’t been able to max out a single character. All of the drops from bosses or timed missions are a random draw with cooldowns of 24 hours so if you didn’t coin flip the loot you’ve needed for the past 3 weeks guess what, see you tomorrow! This game has so much potential if they would just learn to reward the dopamine addiction of idiots like me they would have made so much mor e money by now. Instead you log on every few hours check the rewards for your timed missions and cry inside

The game has a great IP and is taking steps but there are too many bugs and glitches every time they release a new update they break something else. It’s not a cash grab and the rates are decent so that you can do great even as a F2P player, but you need to be very patient to deal with the inconsistent character scaling, unexpected errors and poorly tested aspects of the game that results in some characters being unusable.

This game CAN be fun at times, but there’s so much that’s making the game worse. They want you to GRIND just to level up your characters up. Between the items themselves, the amount of items dropping and energy needed to do activities, leveling up is a lengthy process which is only made worse due to the fact that after all that work the reward feels lacking. This seems to be purposeful though to push players to spend money, which the items aren’t worth at all IN MY OPINION. There’s also a lot of bugs that need to be fixed, for example turning on Auto-repeat doesn’t really work, there’s even a game breaking bug where I got stuck traveling with all of my characters and had to completely start over because their support ideas wasn’t working and I didn’t receive any help after trying their basic ideas. Overall it’s just sad to see this property become a cash grab instead of the fun experience fans have been waiting for.

It’s nice to have new content from this world and it’s characters but if you don’t have money to spend to get the characters you want, don’t waste too much of your time. The character drop rate is abysmal, you can spend 50+USD and still not get a featured character, there is a guarantee/forgiveness system in place but even then, it takes 200 summon attempts to get to, and there’s still a chance to get a character you ALREADY HAVE.

The game is great combat, to story to getting characters, the only two problems I have is like everyone else mention is character growth should be a little bit easier like I shouldn’t have to do over 200 summons to get master bending altar skill point and 2 pvp is just horrible at matchmaking I’m a leave 270,000 power score and facing people in the 400,000 like why???

Hello. I am angry because I have been playing this game for about a month now, and it was fine to play. I do have parental controls but my parents are fully aware that i play this. this game isn’t specifically made for adults so please put the age rating down so children can play. it’s essential because a lot of your players are kids and teens.

The game is great, but it has a lot of work on the technical side. The game glitches frequently; it won’t let you load characters into matches, you’ll spend items on a boss battle just to have it freeze and lose your rewards. Besides the issues, this is a great game.

I downloaded this game this month (Jun), and am having MAJOR fomo from events past! Please game people, have them come back around please. Thanks for the fun!

The game is good in general but there is a lot of lag. Whenever I have no tabs on except this it lags for some reason and in the loading screen which takes forever to load. Please fix this graphic issue as well.

The game mechanics are very diverse while a little buggy and I imagine will be explored more as the game develops and the story and activities are good fun and add some more detail to already beloved characters the only negative is after you max out your team it feels a little easy and boring with nothing more to do but that’s likely a me problem. The one issue that I do have is the graphics during combat has a bad 3d modeling that does not look like a game that came out in 2023.

Following the scrolls that lead you to come up with your own team, travel to battle across the four nations, taking on tasks to earning rewards to level up your attacks and increase your bending elements and fight to stop fire nation ozai’s wrath.

I’ve been playing this game ever since it came out and I love it! I play it every night before I go to bed. My only gripe is the arena. I’ll face an opponent that has a a much lower power score (like 100,000 or more) than me and I’ll still get wiped out in a matter of turns. It kind of bums me out because I’d like to move up but I’m not no matter what I try.

This game is a little buggy, but over all still fun to adventure with Aang and the gang. Definitely requires grinding to level up to be able to complete the adventure tracks. Fun to play with different characters from atla and the more characters you have the more you can play on different tracks at the same time making game grinding easier.

My Rise of Kyoshi timeline story is messed up. I finished the part (SPOILERS) where you have to save Avatar Yun from the pirates at the iceberg negotiations, and it took me back to Yokoya. There was dialogue between Kyoshi and the Airbending instructor, but there are no story hubs or options. All there is for me to do is make Kyoshi do chores or fight more pirates, which I can’t because she’s too underleveled on her own. Could you please fix this because I love Kyoshi’s story?

I’m a huge ATLA fan and I have found this game ver fun and still very playable if you are trying to play for free and not do any in game purchases. The only problem I have with it is the availability of 2 star hero ascension materials. It become such a grind to level up and can really weed out a lot of players that don’t want to spend a week for one character to be able to be viable in the game still.

Other than that, I think this is a great game and has huge potential in the future for fun new stories and game play!

I like this game overall but there are quite a few bugs that make it feel more like a beta rather than a full game. Mainly the team functions are buggy. I often have to restart the game to get my team to show up correctly. I think the game is good though and will likely stay with it. I think since some of it is really idle playing, I would suggest some more ease of use features for those timed quests. I’m most excited about the other story lines!

I really enjoy the game so far as both a fan of the series and turn based rpg games but the fact that there’s a travel time between nodes is irritating, it unnecessarily slows down the game and I wish it was removed. I truly see no reason why a travel time between nodes should exist. It literally adds nothing to the game but painfully slowing it down

While I find this game amazing as a fan of the series, some casual gacha players may find some more faults than me. I find the gameplay a little sluggish, not laggy but the UI, menus, and overall just tapping around seems slow and dated. I feel that the UI could do a touch up. Maybe some new VFX, etc. Navigating around the game just seems a tad convoluted. Maybe some work could be done to simplify upgrading characters, supports and relics. Just seems very complicated for no reason. Other than those quality of life enhancements I’m really enjoying the game!

I’ve been waiting since November I’m so excited 😍 so far I’ve been a couple minutes into this game and it’s been really fun and every time I see something new I get excited like new voicelines omg especially about the characters and the rpg aspect is pretty fun and I see there’s a clothing option and I’m patiently waiting for that update??!! I’m a little disappointed there isn’t voice dubs during the story but it’s whatever but I hope that’s implemented in the future… but I love this so far and I really love new story and stuff I’m glad this game isn’t just an entire retell of the main story but also some side quests and new stuff like I said earlier!

I was skeptical at first, but I was delighted to find that the gameplay is smoother than I thought (it also helped to not jump on the bandwagon when it first came out). I can’t wait to continue to support this franchise!

you make it to difficult to progress in the game without spending money on characters and materials to upgrade. there needs to be changes to progression through the game. and the summon drop rates, horrible. stop being all about making money and just provide a goood game for the fans of avatar. also, a good update would be to be able to click on a material needed to ascend characters and be taken right to that material instead of a general area and have to play 20 times through a certain level to get that particular material. the drop rates of materials is to random which again makes it hard to progress through the game.

I started playing this game recently and am really enjoying it. It has nice humor and the graphics are appealing. I like the turn-based genshin rpg style gameplay.

I want to say that as a woman who grew up with avatar as a child, it meant a lot to me that the sexism bit from episode one was removed from the introduction to the game. Little girls (and women) shouldn’t have to hear those sort of things.

Im looking forward to continuing to play this game.

i love gameplay, graphics, various modes of play, and the lineup of characters. each character feels unique and there’s enough types of game modes to keep you entertained for hours. if you’re a fan of the avatar series, you’ll definitely enjoy the game!

the only drawback to the game that i’ve experienced is how difficult it is to obtain the characters that you want. for example, i really wanted to get azula but never managed to summon her. i wish there was an easier way to obtain my favorites. i would even pay out of pocket directly for those i like best instead of leaving it up to chance.

besides that, the game is incredible. 5/5 !!

I have loved this game since it started, however we need more updates to the game for the frequent bugs that appear. Currently there is a bug when trying to play the event boss battles during “Differences Aside”. I cannot battle stages two or three but can access stage 1 battle. I am confused how to get this bug gone with the time limit left of 19 days left on this event. UPDATE PLEASE.

First, let me start off by saying this game is a really fun game with good mechanics and is a generally good tactical strategy rpg. I’m a player who played this game early, going by GoldWalkerrr in the discord for the game (oh yeah this game has a discord, Reddit, Twitter, and more), and while it JUST launched, so it has bugs and issues, the game itself is still good, and the dev team genuinely listens to feedback and care about the game and IP, and they are very good about fixing issues and are pretty fast about it too, the game has many things planned for the future, many QoL updates, content updates, etc. and they’re also working on the discord for the game too, while creating a community to boot. This game is well worth the try, yes it is a gacha game, but it is very F2P friendly, it does have microtransactions obviously, but it’s in no way necessary to buy anything, if you buy things you support the team and get good benefits for doing so, but if you give them feedback and interact with them in the game’s discord, that’s just as important. So if you happen to read this review, I definitely recommend playing the game and joining the discord!

This game is great if you like grinding, kind of slow, but I like that. If you don’t like grinding, the game may not be for you but give it a try, who knows, maybe you’ll like it!

I’ve never considered myself a phone gamer, but I am very impressed with what the team has created with this game! Every update is making a big difference :) only 2 generations of Avatars so far but very excited for what the future holds!

I love this game and it has all the great moments from the show. I love that the developers are taking their time with this game to get things right and balance all characters our for everyone, and add content. They've improved a lot and take community feedback seriously. They do major updates. The rewards and missions are doable and give you good amount of currency.

Love the game so far! Wish the story line stuff would move along faster and that certain bosses weren’t so impossible to fight (Flopsy). You also can play this game and advance pretty far without ever needing to buy something.

We need Korra though. Like more than anything. Aang’s story has been told 10 million times at this point. I wanna see more of Korra!

Hello I just installed this game today and did the tutorial and I finished it and it takes me to the menu page and I can’t interact with anything because it shows a black canvas with a button and it says go to my objectives page but I can’t find it because it doesn’t show up. So if you can help me figure out why that is happening then that would be great. Overall I enjoy the game

This game is at the start of its long running life hopefully. I love Avatar and am looking forward for this game to get better and better. And I’m not bot, hot dog water cooking ramen, that aught to prove it. Don’t listen to the people calling the game just a cash grab, just keep making it better.

Im soo glad the game finally came out I have been waiting for it for ages. The only issue I have is after the first update yesterday I can’t seem to get into the game I updated it and even used the wifi and 4g too and losing ny two days of login because of ittt I can’t seem to reach support for some reason either

This game hits all the notes and love I have for games in general. It's a combination of Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and FarCry but in the Avatar World. Turn style fighting is so satisfying. I will be playing this until I complete it entirely 100%. However, I accidentally used my Momo to upgrade Appa because I didn't realize what was happening and now I'm grieving the loss of Momo on my team and I nEED TO KNOW IF I WILL EVER GET HIM BACK, PLEASE!

Finally, I’ve waited 15 years for new Avatar content and this is it. Not only does it stay true to the original series and other works of the creators but it adds new lore and new stories for the die hard fans. The gameplay is smooth and the plot feels like you’re playing through an episode of the shows. One problem though: there’s no audio for me.

Amazing controls, no lag, amazing story, memorable and great characters, huge opportunity to grow, expect longevity

In my experience of playing gacha games, new and young games like this have a lot of potential to grow. The game starting out basic and small creates longevity and can be fixed and improved overtime, by adding more special events, characters with possible different outfits, just gotta trust the process and be grateful that there is even an avatar game

This game is amazing for a new as it is, All of you crybaby marvel players, SWGOH players, etc are delusional with expectations way to high, comparing this to the millions and millions put into those games that have been out for over half a decade is a complete joke 😂 I hope you all come back just to read more reviews and see this, Learn to appreciate devs and games instead of being min max cringe losers who want everything perfect and etc, the game JUST DROPPED!

I read all of the negative reviews before I started playing, I played it for quite awhile and love it! I do not believe the negative reviewers have played this style of mobile game before. It is similar combat as Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Marvel’s Strike Force. This Avatar game is unique from those, due to it actually running through the story of Avatar. To the reviews of the quality of the game, it is actually very neatly done. It has great animations and U.I. I think people are hating on it because they are not used to this style of game. Great game developers! I have been unable to put it down for very long.

I love, love, love this game!! I found it a little over a month ago and have been playing it every day since. The graphics are GORGEOUS, gameplay is fun and it takes you through the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender with such accuracy that it is a delight for any fan. I adore this game, as I can’t say enough and am absolutely heartbroken that it is going to be shut down. This is the best game I have ever seen that is based off of a TV show. No Avatar fan could ask for better. I can’t see anyone being able to make a ATLA game to match this one in the future. RIP Avatar Generations💔
