Conquer The City - Takeover It Reviews

The basic premise is pretty good, but they failed on the execution. For about 10 hours it was fun, after that the maps fell into two categories: pathetically easy or flat out impossible.

The easy maps, it doesn’t matter what your enemies do, there is no way they can win unless you screw up royally.

The impossible maps, you have so few choices and are so handicapped that the only way you can win is if the computers screw up (which they don’t) or you watch ads for boosts.

From what I can tell, if you restart in the first 2 or 3 seconds, you go right into the new game. But above that 3 second limit, if you restart, you have to watch an ad. I have had 20 minute stretches trying to beat an impossible level without a boost when I spent more time watching ads than playing the map.

There is no micro-transaction, pay-to-win setup, but they compensate with 35% of your “play time” is spent on ads instead. Not worth the download.

I like how if you are struggling you can choose to freeze the opponent for a short period of time. Keep this game as it is now

This game has way too many ads. Can I play 2 or 3 levels without ads? I don’t mind the permanent ads at the bottom but playing an ad between level or when you restart a level is exaggerated.

Also there is seem to be a bug in ConquerTheCity version on level 46. Red player does not defend itself and yellow dominate the map and crushes you. I watched a video online and red player was defending itself in previous version but not anymore.

I want to rate this game higher because it is a fun time waster, but they introduced new buildings and I have no idea what makes them special. I’ve tried different approaches based on what I’ve seen in similar games, but they don’t work like I thought they did. There needs to be some explanation of the new buildings when they’re introduced so we know how to use them best.

If I had rated this game before the last update I would have given it 5 stars. This update has ruined this game for anyone who has enjoyed it for any length of time. They took away our pistol and handed us a machine gun. There wasn’t an unbearable challenge before, but there was a challenge. No challenge anymore. Boards that would take 45 seconds to a minute now take 10-20 seconds. I will update this score accordingly should they fix it another update.

The mechanics and the level design are completely ripped off of City Takeover. Literally every level is the same. However this game has additional levels once you beat all the ones they stole. So I guess that's good.

The problem is eventually the levels are impossible to beat without watching ads to get double damage and/or the freeze powerup.

I wish that we could run the people once we’ve conquered it all, rather having it pop to an ad as soon as the last building is taken. Also I hate when my lines get drawn by the computer as if I were a computer player.

There is no way the rating for this game can be correct unless the developer has 2k friends who helped him out.

I played for a minute and deleted ConquerTheCity . In that time more than half was commercials. I don’t mind commercials, I understand that is how they offer supposed free games. But this one has way to many.

I truly miss the days of actually paying for a quality product and never being bothered after that.

There are many games I like, but won’t set through the ads to play. Yes, some say pay X and remove ads, but it does not remove all of them, there are still ads on the screen. Just stops the forced watching. If I am paying, I want them all gone.

This game is fun for those who like strategy games. However, after a certain level (not sure what level though) the maps begin to repeat. This isn’t a huge problem for me, bc this is just a time killer for me. The problem for me is that as the levels gets higher AI get buffed which means u have to use ad power ups multiple times just to win

The bots are too hard. And any time I push the double strength or the freeze button. It always says “no video” even though it has an ad at the bottom of the screen or an ad will pop up immediately afterward. So y’all need to fix these things. Then your game would be better.

this is the cure of boredom but there are a lot of advertisements so when I was really close to winning boom add but very good game

Fun for about 100 levels then it's all the same. Then you get to around 300 where you can't do anything but watch the ads to win. Good for about a week then you'll uninstall

The game is very fun kind of satisfying by hearing the sound The graphics is all right but I’ll take it

Fun game but ripped off from others who had better graphics and less annoying ads. The ads also won’t work for the power up sometimes. Rushed and lazy development… deleted

This game can be addicting, but the constant barrage of advertisements and no way to remove the video ads, led me to ultimately delete the game off my phone. I’m not sure if I spent more time playing, or watching 30 second ads.

Fun game but you can tell it’s just an ad farm. Update — free version on an air plane makes you wait 5 seconds of the game progressing so it can beg you to set up a network to show you ads. It’s fun but uninstalling due to bad ownership.

I could tell from the ad this was a rip off of City Takeover but I decided to try it because I really like it but it has so few maps it should be criminal. THIS GAME HAS THE EXACT SAME MAPS!! Didn’t even try to do anything different. DON’T SUPPORT THIS THIEVERY!!

Just another game that forcefully won’t let you win levels by removing strategy from the equation and just giving boosted power to the Ai. So fun for the first few levels till the soul sucking hatred starts.

Even after purchasing remove ads, which only does banners, the video ads after levels keep playing!!! Garbage game
