Unreliable at best. Spam at worst.

As the creality box and app update, various key features break, and maybe others get fixed. This week the camera stopped working after the most recent app update. Won’t connect anymore. Very spammy and micro-transaction laden “store” with lots of thingiverse and printables rip offs you can “buy” models of with their in-app currency. A poorly developed app so they could check off another box for barely functioning or non functional features without any real development or UX effort.

Unfortunately the “box” was built into my printer, and the usb port on my printer won’t work with octoprint because of it.

Worst app ever

This app worked fine the first couple of times but then I couldn’t connect to the printer and I know it’s not my printer and when I finally got it to work it did not even print it correctly this is the worst app ever do not use or download and developers do not tel me it’s my printer my printer is fine it still works. Also the instructions mislead me they where confusing and showed a different picture than what was actually on the screen so I wil probably be deleteing CrealityCloud and selling my printer to git a better one with clear instructions and a good way of making prints.

Spam like notifications

Spam like notifications, no way to dial in notification settings. Creality sends marketing style notifications and offer nothing other than all or nothing toggle for notification settings. Do you want to know if your print failed or printer ran out of filament you’re gonna get advertisements as well… not only do CrealityCloud makers need to step up the options on their own, but Apple needs to put up requirements that all apps allow opt out for all pop up notifications, and each type of notification opt in or out for each. The push notifications on my device or not your company’s personal billboard.

Used to work

I paid for the annual subscription so I could easily use the cloud slicer and upload to my halot one plus sla printer.
It used to work wonderfully. I could do everything from my phone and was happy to pay for that ability.

This latest update has broken everything.

I can’t upload my own stl files to slice, I get an error no matter what I try.
My already sliced files I can’t use the preview feature or it crashes CrealityCloud .
When I try to send one to my printer, it just hangs there and nothing happens. I left it like that overnight once just to be sure I was waiting long enough.

I can still print files I slice on my computer and the printer shows as active on my network, so the printer isn’t the issue.

If they can’t fix these issues, I won’t be renewing for another year.
I’d highly recommend holding off on paying for the subscription if you’re considering it until you’re sure these issues have been fixed.

Lots of bugs

Raspberry Pi 4 with octoprint connected to an Ender 3v2.
I like the ability to slice on my iPad but Once supports is turned on, you can’t turn them off.
Once you start printing, everything breaks but the printer still starts the print. You can’t see any info in regards to the print status (ie. Temp print head location, print layer, etc) I have about 10 prints that say they are CURRENTLY in progress in my “print history” tab but they all freeze at 1 min remaining and still say it’s in progress. The web cam feature never works. And CrealityCloud says the printer is offline 99% of the time. I have to turn the printer on and look it up in CrealityCloud with in 30sec of the print coming online or else CrealityCloud will say it’s offline. But my octoprint system never has a connection issue even when the creality cloud says the printer is offline. The 2 prints I have been able to start via the creality cloud app actually turned out extremely high quality which is a shame that it is an extremely difficult chore to use any function of CrealityCloud . It would be awesome to be able to slice a model and be able to download the .gcode file so I could upload it to my octoprint server and allow octoprint to handle the rest. At least until the rest of the bugs are worked out.

Limited functionality

Pros:
It is nice that you can find free files and go directly into slicing the model. The cloud slicing and launching the print remotely is very handy.
There is a community section where you can ask questions or get help from other users.
Being able to watch the print live is nice for peace of mind and the time lapses (they work almost every time) are cool and help spot parts of your print that may need adjusting.

Cons:
The cloud slicing is a little clunky. It’s odd that the slicer only includes two material profiles for the K1C and they appear to be identical. There’s not an easy way to import or create a profile but if you do use an existing profile changing any single setting is a chore. If you change anything as simple as adding a raft you then either have to save that as a new change to the profile or save that as a new profile. It does allow you to monitor the camera while printing, however, the feed frequently cuts out and you either have to close the camera and reopen it or something force close and restart CrealityCloud to launch the camera again.
I’ve also run into issue of models failing to upload or slices failing but it just tells you it failed. It would be helpful if there was any description of why the process failed.

I don’t find value in the coin/reward system. It’s more cumbersome and clutter than it is a benefit.

Buggy

CrealityCloud is great conceptually but in using it i find CrealityCloud to be a bit frustrating and “buggy.” I have used it to successfully slice and print on my ender 3 s1 pro connected to internet via Creality box and or Ethernet cable. One of the main things i would like them to fix is for using an iPad .. it doesnt seem to allow landscape mode so if you have a Magic Keyboard that is a bit irritating having to rotate the iPad and not use the keyboard/track pad.

Broken

Since a month ago you can not view anyone’s profile and see the files they have uploaded you just get a white screen. I’ve been using a Creality Halot one about a year now I have never been able to upload any of my own files or import files from other sources I get a error abnormal files removed. I have been in contact quite often trying to resolve issues with live support with no cure. Pretty stressful and just brought the fun to a stop.

Great app, needs a few quality fixes

CrealityCloud is great. I love being able to change the setting, slice, and start a print from my phone. I can even download stl files from my phone to CrealityCloud . Works pretty solid.

Now the problem. CrealityCloud doesn’t like to work more then half the time. It takes forever to load everything, if at all. It gets very frustrating just wanting to start a print but CrealityCloud shows nothing in it. That’s really the only problem but other then that it’s pretty good.
PLEASE fix CrealityCloud, Creality.

Audio on live stream

I mainly use CrealityCloud for viewing my printing progress when I’m away. I’m usually listening to music or a podcast when checking in and the audio pauses whatever is playing and cuts to the printer doing its normal printing noises. Is it possible to change the default audio from being enabled to disabled? I don’t think the sound of the printer head moving around is very useful anyway. Good to have but not extremely important.

Good but could be amazing with a few tweaks to it

The Creality Print App offers a user-friendly interface and seamless connectivity with Creality 3D printers. Its intuitive design simplifies the printing process, allowing users to easily upload and manage their 3D models.

CrealityCloud 's slicing capabilities are commendable, providing precise control over print settings. Additionally, the remote monitoring feature lets users keep an eye on their prints from anywhere.

However, occasional connectivity issues and limited model customization options could be improved for a more comprehensive user experience. For example being able to group items in the sliver so you can copy and move as a group like in cura.

Overall, the Creality Print App is a solid companion for Creality 3D printer users, offering convenience and efficiency in managing their printing projects.

Love this but

I am obsessed with CrealityCloud BUT they make it so difficult to track down codes you have downloaded
I spent my morning downloading codes to print off and they’ve completely disappeared! I can’t find them anywhere and that’s frustrating!
Otherwise I love this and the ease of finding models and downloading them itself is easy it’s just finding them post download that’s an issue for me.
and I also wish it was simpler to send codes to print on the printer. For us I’m having to continuously run to the basement and up because we have to use an SD card and the computer is in the basement

One Stop for your 3D Printing Needs

Creality Cloud is a great one-stop shop to post your models, download new models, a supportive community and lots of other features you need to check out for yourself. Native support for iPad would be an enhancement I welcome and I’m waiting for.

Continued giveaways and incentives keeps the site engaging and the community uploading models keeps the content fresh!

Did I mention you must support iPad natively 😅

Pretty Nice But Has Flaws

The terminate print option is only available when I unplugged the control screen.
The tip on CrealityCloud is that you can’t access the options with the touch screen; but an unwise user won’t know how to solve that issue, i would recommend adding the instructions to unplug the physical control panel rather than just say that’s why it’s not allowing you to use it.

Only getting better.

CrealityCloud has made huge strides from when I first logged in and since has improved so much. They offered a firmware update for my Halot one and it all seems to work so perfectly now I have a hard time considering a printer from another company. If you had previously tried there slicing software and CrealityCloud and ran away wondering if you made the right choice well the answer is you did and should give it another try. The social community and your feedback is essential to the future of this program. Also the software rewards you in coins for basic things that you’ll all ready be doing on a daily basis while you learn about your printer and how to become successful at printing. You can even sell your scans and other ideas through CrealityCloud. In my experience you can’t get much closer to a complete ecosystem of images cloud storage, slicing and printing from any other company. You can even trade your coins for a new printer or printing supplies. How about a new home pod to listen to your favorite music while you print. Well that’s all possible with CrealityCloud. Oh yeah, I love my Halot one printer too. This company is really great and I didn’t get a coin for saying this either. 🫶

Good app with easy selection for young beginners

Being an adult jumping in, my friends sent me to Cura and Thingiverse, but my young teen son found Creality's App. I liked it, tried it as well. He made a profile, wants to put creations on there. Two suggestions. They need to stil to STL files for uploads. He got a gcode file that just locked the printer up without printing anything. On two different elements he downloaded.

Maybe our fault, but the Creality Ender 3 V2 pair that we purchased for father/son model making light sabers and fun show off stuff works great on stl files sliced on Cura, just not from .gcode straight from Creality's app or anyone. .gcode is horrible anyways, can't resize (that we can figure out) or modify).

It does need a bigger community of hobbiests with better lists, more pickers of the prints when complete, etc.

It's a good start, though. Draws the kids in, but when the printer locks up... sorry, have to move my kids over to another site when he can't get stl files every time. 4 stars for actually making a quality app and quality site with real editting tools on them though. That's awesome! Just please, stl. Have I mentioned mandatory stl files?

Nice, but could improve.

Well, I like CrealityCloud in general, but I don’t really understand the concept of cuvacoins. The fact that they only last a year confuses me because if you want like, 20,000 to get a new printer, you need to basically be addicted to CrealityCloud and not get out to your real life. But otherwise, I like that CrealityCloud has a built in slicer and it makes things so much easier to use. I also like that it’s not just about files and ideas, but there’s a community and it’s interactive and there are just so many ways to get productive content from people or reinforcement. I like the fact that there’s categories that let you choose what you want and definitely like the idea of the 3d photoscan. It does need some work, because my scans sometimes turn into shapeless lumps. In conclusion, it’s a good app that has room for growth and improvement and provides a positive environment in the 3Dd printing community.

Why was I logged out…

So a couple of days ago i was logged out. Before everything was fine, but I was just logged out for no reason. I didn’t even know I was logged out. So when I came into the Creality app, it brought me to the login place. And then I knew it, I was logged out. I don’t remember logging out AT ALL. Please fix this so this review can edited to 5 ⭐️
EDIT: I have successfully logged back in but if this happenes in the future I hope it’s fixed.

Creality Cloud

I am getting the hang of 3 d printing slowly but surely. Creality Cloud is a great app on my phone, I have an I-phone and it works great, for a while my laptop and phone were in sync with each other but not since I updated my Creality Cloud App on the phone, now I have 2 separate accounts but will not be paying the premium on the laptop. Wish I could get the I-phone and the laptop on the same account but I will continue to use my Creality Cloud on my I-phone.

Easiest way to print

Idk what id do without CrealityCloud. Im a total noob at 3d printing absolutely 0 experience with designing things or slicing or gcode but with CrealityCloud it isnt needed. I connected my phone to my wifi box, chose a model slice it and press print. Thats it. The hardest part is waiting for the print to finish. Just dont forget to choose your model printer before slicing or you will have to slice 2x. CrealityCloud will warn you if you havent chosen your printer. Ive never had any issues unless my wifi starts acting up.

Nothing else like it at the moment.

Great app for searching printable files, but the slicer and Lithophane maker are by far the best features. The slicer works great and is convenient. It's also nice to have the free cloud storage space for files and slices to keep everything in one place. The search function could work a bit more smoothly, but is still useable and could use a system for saving and organizing favorites to print later. App works great with the creality box for remote printing as well.

So glad I chose Creality

This is my first 3D printer and I must say it has done quiet a job at impressing me. I knew zilch r/t 3D printing and this fabulous little Neo has withstood my mess ups. Now that I have more education under my belt r/t this new hobby, I am even more impressed. After, you get over tramming issues, which is a feat for all printers from what I have learned, and you print your first perfect to you model, then you start seeing what an awesome freaking machine you lucked up on for such a little amount of money. Thank you!!!!!!

Results are All I Care About

It is annoying that Creality has decided to make their slicer a profit center. I might even want to participate
from time to time. But really, all I want is to do my slicer biz. The workflow of uploading an stl or 3mf is straightforward and pretty much idiot proof. It’s easy to customize slicer settings then hit print and go out to dinner expecting a good result. I can’t believe the people who made my entry printer, Ender 3, also make the K1. If you are wanting to start out in 3d printing, get a K1. Stop shopping. Get the K1 and become productive from the very first print. Or get an Ender 3 and spend months tinkering, fiddling, to get that truly nice print. Rejoice at your success. Then watch as the next print fails. My K1 makes me feel like I’m cheating.

Creality Cloud is Amazing!

I have been printing for about three years now, and I am up to three printers currently. All three are, of course the Creality brand. I find that they have the best support and more options for upgrades. Just like the Creality Wi-Fi Box that I just installed. It makes life wonderful, and the Creality Cloud app makes slicing, and printing remotely super simple! And it runs flawlessly. I am so impressed but it that I am buying two more boxes for my other printers. If you are using a Creality printer you have to get one of these and use Creality Cloud!

Casual user

I’m a hobbyist printer that wanted to be able to transfer gcodes to my ender3v2 wirelessly. I found that the creality Wi-Fi box was one the cheapest and simplest ways. They came along way since it first came out and the first reviews of it that had a lot of failures. I’ve been running it over 2months now and haven’t had a failure from the box. I use cura to do all my slicing and love the add-in to upload directly to the cloud. There still are issues with the gcode settings that it shows when looking at slices uploaded but these do not transfer into the prints, so what you upload prints as uploaded. Things I would like to see added or fixed would be the following: 1. The pause function when set in gcode to actually pause. As of now it runs through the pause command and then resumes immediately after the offset of the nozzle has been achieved. 2. When the print finishes it cycles the print to the front then to the back before it stops so the print sets at the back instead of the front.

Great way to maximize use

I’ve been using CrealityCloud since I first got my printer about a year ago. I love it and it allows me to be able to keep track of my prints upload them share with others and interact and learn every day a little bit more about this field CrealityCloud maximizes, my ability to print from any location, especially if I randomly find an STL that I really enjoy. Recommend CrealityCloud .

Painless Entry to 3D Printing

I purchased a Creality K1 Max with some extremely limited exposure to 3D printing long ago…meaning it was the early days of printing when 90% of “making” consisted of trying to get the 3D printer to do anything.

Fast forward to now, and I brought home the printer, downloaded the Creality Cloud app, signed up for the free account, plugged the printer in, and ran it through its auto setup. The next thing I know, I’m printing!

Are there still things to learn? Yep! Are there things I don’t know how to do on the Creality slicer? You betcha!

But the combination of the Creality printer and the Creality Cloud enables me to ensure my prints aren’t self-destructing because of bad adhesion, and it keeps me up to date with projects’ progress.

I may not know enough yet to identify the weaknesses, but I can see its strengths!

Amazing prints!

I can’t believe that the printer just keeps getting better every day! really excited to see the progress in the future.

I give this printer a five star review because price point and Prints!

Don’t get me wrong I’ve had all kinds of issues… nothing I couldn’t fix though. some of them could’ve been my fault. i’ve only had the printer for a few days, and it is amazing! Huge build plate🎉 great price! amazing AI !!
