I really like LearnJapanese. It starts out teaching you grammar from the very beginning and builds up the sentences so you quickly can understand even long (simple) sentences. I feel like I've learned more with it in a few days than the months I spent on vocabulary alone. Also, you can choose your difficulty and you can choose what shows (romaji which I turned off, kanji and katakana).

The only reason I rated this 4 stars is because there's a few bugs.
1. Sometimes the voice is wrong. One question started with それ (so-re) but it said su-ri and I was so confused I had to listen to it a few times. Thankfully, it was written so I knew it had messed up. (Only one I remember it happened with) and 鳥 the last writing stroke is wrong.
2. Once in a while です just shows as で (and is higher than the rest of the line)
3. On build the sentence questions, if there are too many choices I can't see some of them (I only see the top of the box the choice is in) and there's no scroll option so I have to choose it to see if it's the right thing. Luckily there haven't been any with so many choices that the choices can't be grabbed, yet.

Its a good learning tool and I think its fun, but there are bugs that prevent me from getting past the first lesson.

Can you update script which swapping day because if you don’t reload, your app is just stay on day before this

On Daily life two unit 6 Review everytime it ask me to put whether it is Vietnamese or English it kicks me out and restarts LearnJapanese I can’t go past that question without it kicking me out of LearnJapanese

We tried to restart the device, update LearnJapanese and it still shut down .

i love using LearnJapanese, as its teaching methods are very helpful to me. the lessons make me feel like i have progressed, and i have! i’m so happy with the progress i’ve made with HeyJapan.

LearnJapanese teaches you everything, it teaches you how to write in Japanese and it teaches you so much. I love LearnJapanese

The vocalization is well pronounced. I’m not Japanese but I trust this dialect and accent.

The speed of LearnJapanese is smooth and crisp.

I turned romanization off, adjusted the size of the font and I’m well on my way.

It’s weird not having a head ache while learning Japanese, unlike using the duo-lingo app. There will be an adjustment period.

It’s actually a really good app, I use it along with the infamous Duolingo. You can move much faster here and and Hey Japan has helped me a lot with kanji, pronunciation, sentence structures, and more. Love it

I just started practicing on LearnJapanese but one small problem, every time I do basic 1 it crashes and I lose my progress. to be honest I don’t know what to do.

I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for a couple of years now, but every time I have a habit set in motion it all just breaks down. I found LearnJapanese really satisfying because it goes through the basics fairly quickly and jumps right in using kanji, it also allows me to remove the romaji and even the furigana. Most apps make beginners feel kinda dumb, but I’ve had a very good experience with LearnJapanese these past 2 weeks.

I really like LearnJapanese. I have tried several apps for learning and this is by far the best. I paid for the full version and I have learned more in one week than months of using other apps. Highly recommended. 🇯🇵

WAAAY better than duolingo, I don’t feel rushed or forced nor do I have to wait several hours just to get hearts which is relieving. I can study in peace with LearnJapanese and I don’t have competition that makes me feel like giving up. I love LearnJapanese so much!

There are way less adds than most apps I’ve used and has a better real world track than apps like Duolingo. I definitely recommend this for learning actual speech and writing of the language and sentace structure

After college, me and the boys are going to Japan, so we need to learn there language. First I was on duolingo, which still do, but the premium is pay monthly, I want to do full payment for life time, then I found Hey Japan. Don't cause commotion with Duolingo, Hey Japan and Duolingo are great, (Hey Japan is better, in my opinion) Five stars, keep doing what your doing. 👋

Function reminds me of DuoLingo but the is waaaaaay better! I have been studying for the JLPT N5 using Genki and video lessons for months. But I have gotten further in just a few days with little Chibi. Great corrections, wonderful kanji incorporations, and…. Being able to turn off romaji is awesome! Highly recommended for Japanese learning.

I have had LearnJapanese for a couple of days and love it! My only issue is that occasionally, especially during review, questions will not have the right answers under them. Mostly it happens with sentence construction, where a word won’t be available to choose but will be required for the answer…
Hopefully this gets fixed!!

Usually when you use language learning apps, they want to teach you how to read and write the language more than they want you to actually understand it. LearnJapanese lets you speak and language and break the sentences down instead of just making you learn useless words and skipping actual important steps in the process of learning a language.

I’ve been using LearnJapanese for awhile now. It’s honestly the best way to learn Japanese, especially with the writing and the speaking parts. However, I recently got a new phone and cannot sign in to my account as there is no way to use google as a login since that’s what I did before. There’s no way to reset a password either. It’s still a great app, way better than Duolingo.

I love LearnJapanese keeps your attention focused on it and helps you learn Japanese fast!
