They force you to download the app to obtain the ticket QR code. During the login process in the App, they redirect you to the web again and display the ticket in Safari/Browser. Additionally, a new account, different from the registration, must be created. You’ll need to use a different password, and you’ll have to fill in the same data as during the registration process once again.

What was the purpose of the app?
Why not provide ticket via Apple Wallet?
