Smart TV Remote Control Plus Reviews

I used the arrow buttons to scroll through the apps on my Samsung TV and within minutes of using the buttons it’s asking me to pay to connect to the TV. That’s completely ridiculous just to use a remote to change channels it costs a fee! Be ware of FEES to use SmartTVRemoteControlPlus! I would have given it 5 stars until it asked for money and won’t let me scroll through SmartTVRemoteControlPlus unless I pay their fees.

On my brand new iPad, for Fire TV or Apple TV it’s impossible to scrub forward or backward in streaming content. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus only allows skipping in 10 second increments. It will not recognize my Smart TV at all. Other apps I tried on this iPad earlier today do both, and more, just fine. I’m feeling like I wasted my money. The user interface has a lot of promise, and the developer seems responsive to reviews, but that’s all worth zero if these bare basics listed above aren’t in place. The point of these apps is to ditch a bunch of separate remotes. As things stand, you can’t do that.

In the first few minutes it was fine and everything was working great but then EVERY SINGLE time I clicked something it asked me if I want to have the stupid pro access which I don’t so I clocked out every time and even restarted my device for it to work and it does it every time so in short it’s just not worth it, I heard it has happend to other people too, my friend uses SmartTVRemoteControlPlus and she hates it as well so don’t waste your time on this dumb app that doesn’t even work

I got SmartTVRemoteControlPlus because I lost my tv remote and needed a new one and once I got SmartTVRemoteControlPlus everything was fine and it connected to my tv but then I tried to press ANYTHING and it would show me an ad so I couldn’t do anything at all and I’m not paying premium if your app is going to be annoying so you better fix that or no one is gonna get your app like I can’t even press anything without a premium subscription coming up in my way it’s actually so annoying and stupid and I would actually get premium if your app wasn’t so obnoxious so fix that.

I downloaded SmartTVRemoteControlPlus one night bc i was tired of having to keep track on my remotes. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus works great for the first night but then as soon as i wake up and open SmartTVRemoteControlPlus to put in the news, it wouldn’t connect to my tv! My tv is a samsung that is only a year old, and not only would SmartTVRemoteControlPlus not connect, but it kept showing a pop up ad for me to purchase the premium version of SmartTVRemoteControlPlus . this is very annoying to me and i definitely won’t be using SmartTVRemoteControlPlus until it gets fixed.

It will work for the first few seconds after that the ad pops up to get to buy the premium or pay for their service, and will not work, it’ll say reconnecting each time you exit the ad and then the remote will not work and then the ad pops up again to get u to buy the service, over and over again

I’m not about to pay for a remote especially per month. I thought this was free smh. I’ll just get another remote atp‼️

Free apps are much better than this paid app. Extremely disappointed and my money wasted

Right when i scanned my tv it didnt even let me do anything it just kept asking to buy the subscription

All TVs and the phone are on the same wireless network and continually will not find any of the devices… This was a total waste of money save your money!

I have an Xgimi Halo+. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus worked during the trial period, but once it was over and I purchased a subscription it stopped connecting to my projector. The Google home app works just fine.

The description said that it works on apple TV. It doesn't even detect that remote. You don't have the option to get the trial service. It didn't even work right on my TV. Really don't bother.

SmartTVRemoteControlPlus is good temporarily, but sometimes it won’t connect to the tv even if it says connected and there’s no way to refresh or remove a device so you can re add it if necessary which is a pretty basic feature for a app like this which drops its rating significantly basically you will be frustrated more times than not dealing with SmartTVRemoteControlPlus so my best advice is not to get it and definitely DONT PAY it works for like 5 min and then they make you pay

SmartTVRemoteControlPlus was supposed to have a 1 week trial period, with a subscription, I was charged IMMEDIATELY but NO trial. Can’t get this to connect to the TV, has a display that I have fire TV, which I don’t. At this point I would give 0 stars or negative stars, but don’t see a way to do that. If by chance this were to change I will change this review.

I was aggravated I couldn't find my Apple TV remote… now i’m more aggravated I spent money on a subscription to an app remote that ensures compatibility, when clearly not compatible. My Apple TV is most definitely on my network. I was airdropping just an hour ago.
How sad you're not offered a free trial before learning of false promises.

I think all the amazing reviews must be paid for. I connected SmartTVRemoteControlPlus , and scrolled around for about 5 seconds before it asked me to pay for premium. I click the “x”… hit any single button and the pay for premium pops up again. Literally unusable.

Obviously the goal is for you to make some kind of purchase; it allows you to connect to your tv and appears at first to work but then won’t allow you to do anything without the “subscribe to premium” ad screen popping up. Literally any time you try to click anything. Cheap and disappointing; not to mention all of the 5 stars reviews here are in gibberish. I’d happily pay if it seemed legitimate.

SmartTVRemoteControlPlus was working for a day or two, but then it suddenly stopped working. The pin that showed up on the TV was entered, yet SmartTVRemoteControlPlus said it was wrong. The TV said successfully paired. maybe it’s a glitch that needs to be updated.

Do yourResearch I purchased a yearly subscription after three months they wanted me toUpgrade to the pro version every time I would login it would go straight to the pro version with no options not to purchase after numerous attempts I finally gave up.I have already sent emails with no response twice there are no options to cancel subscription either not to mention the remote control itself is not very well thought outControls are very limited there seem to be multiple glitches on this remote I highly advise you stay away from SmartTVRemoteControlPlus

I just downloaded and paid the $6.99 a month just to get in to set it up and it doesn’t even connect to my tv!
Then I go to cancel it then shows you a lot lower rates. So I try to contact them. Typed the message and there is no send button. So now I come on here and you have to rate them before you can give a review and it gives them self 5 stars and you can change it after many tries.
There needs to be a better option out out there.

I’ve been using SmartTVRemoteControlPlus for a few weeks now because our dog chewed up the tv remote and I’ve paid for the subscription and I’m only having problems. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus is repeatedly telling me “error try again” even though I’ve done everything it’s asked me to. I swiped out of it and restarted, turned my tv on and off, reset my phone, etc. but nothing is seeming to work. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus is more or less turning out to be very terrible seeing as though it’s just taking my money and still not working at all.

Little better than worthless. Wish we bought a Roku TV to replace our old one, because the remote apps we had to choose from with our new Google tv are trash. The Roku app was free and efficient. Sometimes this remote will connect, but it never powers the TV off. Currently keeps giving me a pin to put in to connect the remote to the tv but keeps saying I’m entering the wrong pin. Trash!

Because it’s impossible to use without Paying For It. I only needed for a few days but FREE IS A JOKE. It better be easy to cancel…

I received a developer response. In spite of the fact I DID PAY FOR THIS CRAP, I was unable to turn off my TV for the 2 days I waited for my physical remote control.

It works right away, and FAST. Buuut, it requires a subscription, otherwise, you lose control after 15 minutes of use. I found another remote app on SmartTVRemoteControlPlus Store that was also quick and functions just fine for free

Ever since the last update the remote continuously loses connection after only a few seconds. Before the update it went OK It got the job done but ever since in this new update it’s just been trash I hope they fix it soon.

Yes, this works on Apple TV devices, Google TV devices, and Samsung TVs. However, once I sign into a device, SmartTVRemoteControlPlus should remember it for at least that session. If I switch from one device to another and then back to the first, I shouldn’t have to renter a pin. Heck, once I sign into a device, it should remember it forever!

My mom accidentally threw my remote in the dump while she was cleaning the house. I got SmartTVRemoteControlPlus because of all the great reviews on it. It might work great, but i’ll never know. If you have a fire TV, it instructs you to go into the settings on your TV, and toggle a few things first before you will be able to connect your TV to SmartTVRemoteControlPlus . One problem tho… How am I supposed to change the settings on my TV without the remote… 😪

You can’t use it for free with adds but it is still a pretty good app otherwise it gets a 2 * because it rarely works well

Doesn’t work with Apple TV I assume it works with Samsung quite well though

As soon as I got it I loved SmartTVRemoteControlPlus but when I got the tv connected I accidentally pressed the scan button and now I am stuck in that screen

Update: Customer Service contacted me via email to provide possible solutions. Which tells me 1) they read the reviews and 2) they care enough to try to help. I gave them a fourth star based on customer service. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus still doesn't control volume, but I greatly appreciate the help offered.

Original Review: App turns TV and AppleTV+ device on and off. It can access my various streaming services. What it cannot do is adjust the volume. My television is on a very low setting and we can barely hear it. And I paid the $3.99 for premium just to find out if doesn't work.

SmartTVRemoteControlPlus provides all the necessary commands you would expect from a remote, like volume control, channel switching, power off, etc. It also automatically detected my TV.

When selecting down volume, volume actually goes up.

This was only happening one day. It is working great now. I will continue using SmartTVRemoteControlPlus . Thank you for the follow up. It must have been some type of corrupted SW on my phone. Nothing was changed hardware wise. Please remove my written review if possible.

My fiancée and I have been trying to find a good app for our LG tv. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus works best ,not only for our LG ,but our Samsung and Roku tvs as well. I would recommend if you lose a remote and need a quick fix.

Ok so anyways I lost my remote so I searched for an app and all apps I tried were asking for a subscription and I went further down and I found and I didn’t think it would work again so I downloaded it I was surprised it didn’t asked me to subscribe then it got straight to the proses and I started using it

First two or 3 apps listed tricked me into downloading with the LIE of being free. Within seconds of downloading and attempting to use, they demanded money. I got the 5-10 bucks, but that’s not the point. SmartTVRemoteControlPlus is standard and basic, but works on my 2022 Hisense 75”. 15 min now and no strong arm tactics. Lol. Now to uninstall some desperate apps.

Only worked once then was asking for an update and didn’t work after

I accidentally broke my remote and I’ve been waiting for it to come in the mail, SmartTVRemoteControlPlus has helped me since I go to sleep with a tv on, I know I’m still a little kid in the inside. So thank you!

It connects easy and fast to various TVs and more.

Different TV OSs work and support different features so it may seem like a button doesn't do anything but it's likely that the OS/TV doesn't support that feature or it's under another option.

What a great discovery. We, will always know where our phones are making it way to easy to turn off the by at bedtime, for the kids. As well as, to get our hands on the remote without searching all over the house. Beautiful. A match made in heaven

I literally went through 10 different Rimmel app and they didn’t work but then I finally found one that did work and it’s this one so if you’re like me and couldn’t find a remote app, this one works!!!!!! Please let my family out.

I had lost my remote for 3 days and I had been trying to get a universal remote and this was the one it has so many quick and easy buttons to make things fast. I REALLY recommend SmartTVRemoteControlPlus if you need a universal remote!

Works so well, was doubtful at first but it took less then a minute to connect and so much easier then looking all around for a missing remote.
