This is my first Sonos speaker. I was able to set it up although I found the process a little complicated. I seem to be able to stream just fine using airplay. I’m at a loss as to why I need Sono, what value does it gives me and why am I’m supposed to pay for it?

At a cabin in the middle of the woods. Owner has this speaker. The system requires you to purchase or the free app music your songs, not album or artist together without giving you control.

Can’t seem to install - very difficult to install into my apple play (I have a 3200 plus song library) or SiriusXM. It’s a shame.
