This is ridiculous. LienePhoto does not allow photo size adjustment. This is an app that’s made by a Chinese developer, and this Chinese developer decided it’s a good idea to not bother with Chinese visa photo size. What do you have against your own country?

Doesn’t connect to the printer

The directions say that the password to the printer wifi can be changed in LienePhoto . There is not an option to do this. This is a huge security risk. Also to use the printer you must use it as a wifi hotspot to print and then you have to change your wifi back to your home network to be able to go to settings and stuff on LienePhoto . Totally ridiculous. The options for photo editing are super basic. I failed to be able to edit them when you set up multiple pictures to print in a queue.
Finally, it’s advertised that you can use your computer with the Liene printer. However, there are no drivers for macs, only PCs.

This is so frustrating! The wifi light is on but still says offline! This is so frustrating!!! I barely received it this morning but if i’m going to have trouble over and over i’ll just return it!!!

LienePhoto does not connect to the printer AT ALL. I’ve trie d multiple times, removing adding, disconnecting, reset. NOTHING works. Great printer quality but I need to connect to LienePhoto ! Some of my photos are cut off on the edge and I can’t do anything about it without being able to connect to LienePhoto . Contacted Liene email… they told me to take a video of what’s going on. How can I? If I’m using my phone to connect to the printer. I don’t know how much more straight forward I can get, that it does not connect. Pretty frustrating on such a great printer. Wish they’ll update LienePhoto before doing any further new product upgrades.

I have been trying for over a week to get this connected from the printer to my phone so I can print, I paid $142 for this printer, and it doesn’t work. When you print from your phone directly to the printer, it cuts off the print, and you can’t even turn the print on your phone because it’ll only print one way horizontal. save your money go different route

I’ve tried all suggestions in the reviews, but after getting a new iPhone I can no longer connect the printer to LienePhoto . Printer works amazing, but app is useless.

This is the worst software I have use so far. One I selected a photo I can’t delete it, I have to print it for it to disappear in the list, unacceptable.

Liene is clearly the best 4x6 printer but the biggest shortcoming is in the connectivity. In the absence of Bluetooth, they’ve opted to usurp your Wi-Fi and make you connect through a hotspot in the printer. Ok, I was willing to compromise for the quality but that’s not it… I kept getting an issue saying the printer was offline despite me being clearly connected. I realized you MUST turn it on airplane mode, rendering your phone entirely useless. This is absolutely unforgivable with the tech we have nowadays. They should be embarrassed with themselves

Was able to connect and print great photos thru app but trying to add additional photos into app is a mystery Makes it inconvenient to drag out my laptop just to have to print extra photos.

Using this print app is ridiculously difficult, and having to use the printer as a WiFi connection is completely idiotic. There isn’t any way to scale the photos in LienePhoto so you have to adjust the photo in another app.

With that said, the prints are pretty good when you finally figure out how to get them from your iPhone/ipad to the print que. IMHO not worth the trouble or cost.

As I try to enhance photo it goes back to the restored version, wish that could be fixed a bit. Otherwise I just love the idea of printing photos from home.

I was connected to printer for a little bit and now every time I go to LienePhoto it says printer is disconnected even though blue WiFi is on. Also adding multiple users has been a challenge as well. Please fix LienePhoto this printer would be one best on the market if you can get LienePhoto to work well.

DID NOT CONNECT ON IPHONE 12 PRO MAX. But luckily it connected on my iPad. It needs to work on LienePhoto for the iphone. Please fix. Thank you. Good photo quality but rated two stars because the purpose is to be able to use via phone.

Wish you didn’t have to reset LienePhoto and Wi-Fi every time you want to load a new photo from your phone.
Makes it complicated to use and things like Photo Booth

Thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned it. LienePhoto will not work when you have cellular data! You have to switch to airplane mode and then connect to the printer via wifi. Moving forward I’ll just use my iPad to print, as I don’t have a cellular iPad so it works just fine.

I wrote a really nasty review just a little bit ago only to find out that the answer to literally everyone’s question on how to make it appear online is to make sure that you’re cellular service is turned off while you’re using the Wi-Fi to the device. You should not be able to access the Internet while you’re using the device. Hope this helps people.

Great printer -always exciting to use- however LienePhoto allows use to use features- but when printing the picture didn’t really print with the updates- workaround- edit pictures somewhere else before opening in Liene

LienePhoto works, however the instructions are much to be desired.
To clear the photo queue I needed to delete LienePhoto and reload it.

LienePhoto won’t connect to your printer unless you turn off cellular on your phone. It kept telling me my printer was offline when it was not. As soon as I turned off cellular it finally said standby instead of offline and I was able to use LienePhoto to print.

Have to turn off cellular when connect to the printer. The user manual doesn’t mention this step.

LienePhoto is ok on phone, but it really needs an iPad app. When editing photos to print, I do most of my work on the iPad. It would be useful to have a full size app.

I cant connect to the printer if my phone’s cellular data is on. No issues though when connecting using my ipad. Once connected, app has decent editing tools.

If you had a collage option within LienePhoto . It’s a pain to have to use a separate collage app and then save what you’ve made to then be able to print it.
I LOVE the quality of the photos when printed. The colors are amazing. But I like to make them smaller to use in my journal and I don’t much care for the zink printers.
Please update app to include a collage feature!

I love this printer and the quality of prints it produces, but I have to go back thru LienePhoto Store and open LienePhoto every time I want to print pictures. It will not completely download an app to my home screen it just stays open in the store over and over. That is a major pain!!!
I have had no problems w/ printer or printing- just having my very own app to use!!!!!

I’m blown away that you can get a dye sub printer for under $150!! In a past life I paid $12,000 for a Kodak dyesub which was the best you could buy. 23 years ago. As for LienePhoto , you don’t need it, just connect to Wi-Fi , select
The printer and print from photos. Easy and connects immediately. Kind of old school I’ll agree with no Bluetooth but I’ll forgive that for the incredible quality of dyesub printing for $150. Now I will burn through paper and print photos from the phone which never are seen after intake them. Nothing like holding an instant photo in your hand.

Like most of the reviewers on here, the offline is super frustrating. In order for the printer to be online. Power on the printer, select the printer name as the hot spot, and turn on your airplane mode. This should solve your issue. Works like a charm now. Although I dislike the fact that it’s not Bluetooth and kicks you off but the quality of the pictures are worth it.

I would love to see some updates to LienePhoto to enable multiple prints per page, perhaps thumbnail reviews. Otherwise it runs smoothly and I’m happy I got this printer.

I really don’t know why people are complaining about LienePhoto. It works exactly as it should on my Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Everything functions the way it should. I’m able to print with no issues, changed the password really easily, and the UI is really clean and simple to follow. I love it

I bought the photo printer which is amazing and LienePhoto works perfectly every time! No issues and I’m able to crop the image in different ways, add filters and edit the photo.
