I should’ve looked at that 3.1 rating. Shadowmap is worthless. Someone else noted, it doesn’t have ground objects like trees. And also completely misrepresents the shadow cast by buildings. to suggest that it could be used for solar planning is a complete fallacy.
App keeps crashing. Hope you get this fixed.
1. When I search for a location, it doesn’t move to that
2. Can’t play 24h simulation
3. When I try to switch to high Res mod, it crashes
Basically unusable.
I signed up for the 7 day free trial for the Pro version. The feature I wanted to try before purchasing was not available. I’m a gardener planning raised beds at home and community gardens. I need to know the shadows from buildings and trees throughout the growing season. The trial version does not allow me to check the accuracy, therefore I will not be purchasing the Pro or Lite versions. I’ve deleted the application from my device.

I am an architectural photographer and I have many apps on my phone, which help me with the sun. I found Shadowmap today and it is a Game changer. To be able to know the ex act time that the sun is hitting the building is huge. No more guessing or getting out to the location at the wrong time. Plus, this is the only app I’ve ever had the CEO of the company write me back so fast. I give this easily a 5 out of 5…
