Just downloaded PGEReportIt , won’t let me scroll down to acknowledge it’s a concern, but not an emergency.
What’s wrong with PG&E?
My neighbor’s oak tree dropped a limb and knocked out power to over 6,000 customers last Sunday. PG&E wouldn’t allow them to hire an arborist (too close to their lines) and they have been aware of the problem for months. Poor neighbors had no options, how expensive is it to do an emergency repair to the power lines and all the other utility lines???
What a waste

Upon my first use of PGEReportIt , I could not complete past my first screen because “PG & E could not recognize my email address, and offered me to get on a waiting list” Get on a waiting list to report a hazard? What a waste of time

PGEReportIt does not function and is useless—can’t make any progress beyond entering my email address.
It’s 2022… you monitor your grid via Satellites, unmanned drones, and various wireless technologies, almost all the power meters are “SMART” and have the ability to share all sorts of data and statistics (in real time) that would be of great benefit to your customers (and their family members) that go UNDER UTILIZED….HOWEVER, you still do not have your own APP for your customers to manage their accounts or communicate with your team of customer service representatives!
You have taken the time, man power, and money to develop this glorified Google Map Safety app, but it’s not really finished, not fully deployed and you tell us it’s by “invitation only” Like it’s some sort of special club….ohhhhh! Awwww! There are only 40 reviews, probably from the 40 customers who have now deleted it from their phone because its of no use to them unless they were “invited” into your special club. And what’s with that 3.3 out of 5.0 stars? Apparently your Club members have turned on you!
Come on guys and gals… this is 2022, this is the great state of California, your headquarters are surrounded by companies whose entire existence is based on their APP (UBER, TWITTER, VRBO)… and this is the best you can do for us? I have resided in homes powered by PG&E my entire life (59 years worth), I want you to be the best there is in this Power Generation and Delivery game… I want to be able to tell my friends living in other states that my Power Company is BETTER than your power company!
But in the meantime, I will follow the link out of PGEReportIt over to some horse and buggy technology called the Internet, and add my EMAIL address (who still does this?) to your special list hoping that one day I’ll be Invited into your group… I’m thinking that it might be faster if I dig out my old TIN CANS and STRINGand “call” someone over there! But I’m pretty sure I recycled them already… this is California after all!
Does not work

After being led here by the PG&E website, I was hoping that this might be a way to report very dangerous looking poles on the property that I just purchased. However, after several attempts just simply enter my address, I get a message saying “Daily Limit Lookup Error. Please try again later.” Pretty useless if an app designed to allow you to report dangerous power poles prevents you from reporting those poles. This is crap.
What the heck is the point of this app!???

I don’t know why PGEReportIt is even available. You can’t get access to it because it says you must be invited but how do you get invited???? Super silly. I thought this could be used to check on PSP events or other power outages but no. Waste of time.
Needs upgrades

It started, then just hangs on the map. I have to close it to get out. Needs tech help.
Kind of a sad statement of PG&E overall. I received their large flashy introduction to a new app. Saying this is part of their new and improved safety toolkit.
I downloaded it, launched PGEReportIt , it brings up a map and places me on the map. Then immediately flashes you a message say there is an “error cannot connect to the server, try again later wIth an OK button”
If this is part of a safety toolkit (their words) for report and view critical problems then you would think they would make sure PGEReportIt was bulletproof.

PGEReportIt gets stuck when I try to submit a report. I can’t progress past where I enter my email and what describes me (utility worker, general public, etc).
Does someone test this app ?

This is a valuable application in this current drought era. We can all do our part now to help PGE keep their power lines safe.
