4.7 out of 5
Unreliable

Been trying to get a ride for 30 minutes and still nothing, it’s about a 1/10 chance you actually get a ride and if you do it’s about a 1/5 that they actually pick you up. Just bring back the bus

Such a bummer

When they took away our summit park bus stop and replaced it with High Valley, it was a great learning experience for my teens to truly understand how important it is that we support mass transit systems.
Can’t rely on this for work like we did the bus - we’ve tried every weekday morning at the same time for a month and a half and have not once been able to get a ride.

Plan extra time

I consistently wait 25-50 minutes for a bus to arrive, so I have to go out to the bus at 9:30 to make sure I’m at work on time at 11:30. Plan extra time for trips because you don’t know how long you’ll be waiting. How this has a three star rating is beyond me.

So much potential

Imagine this: you order your ride, wait anywhere from half an hour to a full hour, finally get in and start going only to realize that the driver is dropping 3+ people off at THIER destination before you. All the sudden you’re an hour late. Kudos.

Trash app

most of the time you can’t even order a ride. and when you can it takes over 45 minutes for your driver to pick you up. And then you’re in little van full of people and it takes sometimes OVER a HOUR to get somewhere thats 15 MINUTES AWAY!

Said it would be more convenient

My entire experience with HighValleyTransit has been awful you can almost never get a seat and since you cut my bus route I cannot go anywhere. Bring back the trailside route. This is a terrible design. Park city transit has gotten worse even though they get more money to improve every year.

Awful routing and drivers

On multiple occasions I have been picked up by the micro drivers and they go in the complete opposite direction of where I’m headed. The drivers are terrifying to ride with again on multiple occasions the drivers have driven on the completely wrong side of the road, swerved in and out of their lanes and are extremely timid when entering traffic. The pickup/dropoff locations are super inconsistent and the car is often a 5 minute walk from where you tell them in HighValleyTransit . Other than the fact that these rides are free the whole situation is a disaster

I can’t get a ride

Completely useless. I’m a 15 minute drive from my house in Silver Creek, but never able to book a ride to park city. Keep getting a no ride available message, or we’re busy. Never works for me. So I have to drive my single occupancy vehicle there. If it would work, it would take me over one hour to go less than 10 miles

Super unreliable for commuting

The 101 bus routinely fails to show up leaving riders, literally, out in the cold. The drivers also pack the bus with way too many people and then complain to us, the riders, when the doors don’t close.

And don’t bother going to late night events at the Sundance Film Festival if you have to rely on public transit to bring you home. The buses stop running before the midnight screenings start.

Lastly, I didn’t give High Valley Transit one star because the buses are free. If you can, just Uber everywhere.

Convenient and free service, broken app

We didn’t experience any of the problems people described in the reviews.
The routes are convenient, the buses are on schedule. And - free to use!! Amazing.
HighValleyTransit is absolutely horrendous however. Please hire a good UX specialist and one good iOS developer, they will be able to fix it within 4-6 months.

Take people to Provo

The high valley transportation is very convenient and helpful but I think they should start taking people to Provo from Heber specifically for people that have disabilities that can’t drive on freeways or highways and for people that don’t have cars to get to Provo. If they can take people to park city from heber then they can take people to Provo.

Great service but the map could be better

You set a location and the map and HighValleyTransit send the driver to another, they have to update that issue.

Bad quality

Yo I need to schedule earlier to get what you wanted to go. If not, it takes forever for them to come get you and sometimes they’re too full so you have to schedule again in a few minutes then when you do it again it still won’t work.(it might just be my problem, but it’s kind of annoying.)

It’s alright.

The cars have much space and most of the drivers are very nice and easy on the turns. Sometimes in the afternoon it can be very hard to get a ride because everyone is using it for work but other than that it’s still pretty easy to get a ride. Also shout out to Jorge.

The good things about transit

I’ve taken transit about 10 to 15 times now and every single time I’m happy with the results! For example, the transit I took today had a very friendly driver, I accidentally put in the wrong address, but he was able to drive me to the right place either way!!! he went out of his way to make sure I got home safely. And I’m very grateful. I’m extremely appreciative to all the hard work that they put in every day. It really means a lot to be able to get where you need to go with only a few buttons! PS thank you so much!!

Such an amazing service

Wow. Thank you so much. Please keep expanding and being so kind. I’ve used many times and the drivers are amazing.

Service

Outstanding local service!!

App issues aside, a free ride is worth a little inconveniences.

Love almost everything about this service. App issues caused many missed rides.
