None of the filters are working. All you get is the original picture in a purple hue

I just upgraded from a MacAIR running ios 10.14 (Catalina) to a new MacPRO running ios 12.4 (Monterey). Voila pops up as expected and allows me to outline the section I want to record and print, but once I press the camera button Voila disappears and I cannot print what I supposedly recorded. . .
