Asking me to rate multiple times a day

Edit: I am dropping my rating from 3 stars to 1. App is still asking me to rate it every time I open it. They have added some emojis to the pop up instead of getting rid of it. Incredibly annoying.

I have the paid version and like a lot of things about MyTummy. It’s very simple and very intuitive. I wish there was a way to change MyTummy icon and the font. Recently MyTummy is also asking me to rate it almost every time I input a food which is way over the top. I have rated it twice and it still keeps asking every time. 🙄 With a few tweaks it could be way better.

Most Welcoming Food Diary

I just got MyTummy after religiously using MyFitnessPal for YEARS. I’ve always suffered from a horrible relationship with my food whether it be restriction or binging. Currently, I’m struggling with binge eating and felt that MyFitnessPal was not helping me achieve my goal of having a healthier relationship with food. MyTummy seemed a lot more simple and a lot more welcoming than most food diary apps do. Usually, it feels like when I open a new food logging app I’m BOMBARDED with a million different options, subscriptions, buttons, and things I don’t understand. MyTummy is so simple and I truly feel like it’s going to help me look at food in a better way. I love the ability to turn off “Healthy/Unhealthy” labels and I love the friendly atmosphere of MyTummy itself. Currently, the lifetime subscription is only $5 which is a steal compared to any other food tracking apps usual $8/month scheme. I wouldn’t be surprised if this eventually became a subscription app as it gains more popularity, but as of now anyone who buys the $5 lifetime subscription will keep it despite changes MyTummy may go through in the future! Overall, love the simplicity and wholesome vibe of MyTummy and I’m excited to continue my journey with it.

Almost perfect!

I'm loving MyTummy! It's the best daily food log I have tried out of many in comparison. It’s simple, quick, and effective! The UI is easy on the eyes too. There is a timer bug that I contacted the dev about and a suggestion to add iCloud backup. Aside from that, this is nearly perfect!

You slowly create your own database with your pictures, but if you forgot to take one, it’s not necessary because you can update the picture later! Or choose one from an online search if you prefer. It puts no pressure on the user whatsoever, as everything should be.

I might come up with more suggestions in the future, but for now, I’m very happy with MyTummy! Thank you! :D

Update:
A suggestion I have would be the ability to rearrange the order of foods you’ve already logged. If I forgot something or just put it in backwards, there isn’t an easy way to adjust the order. I have to delete all the entries and re-enter them in the order I’d like.

Thank you

Literally want to cry lol. MyTummy and the simplicity of it is helping me beat my binging addiction. I never thought I’d be able to. Being able to see the foods laid out that I ate for the day (even if it was a lot) without judgement and all the red flagging other apps give is amazing. The “before you begin” tab was so sweetly written with inspiring words and insight to help begin this journey for me. The food collection is very limited so it does take an extra second to take a picture of the foods you are eating and label what they are but once they’re labeled, you don’t have to do it again. I love that I’m able to decide if a food is healthy or unhealthy for me. The wording that’s used throughout MyTummy is just so encouraging and I could go on and on about how much I love it!

Changed my life

MyTummy is everything I was looking for. I didn’t want to count calories, but I wanted to increase my mindfulness and appreciation for food, and this is a beautiful, introspective, and compassionate app that REALLY helps. My life has completely changed since using MyTummy, and I enjoy food so much more without bingeing, stressing, or overthinking food. Thank you to the developer. Please never discontinue MyTummy. ♥️

Less is More

I think this might be the first review I’ve ever left, but MyTummy is wonderful. So simple to use, doesn’t take much time to log, and encourages intuitive eating (following your body’s signals.) This is not a calorie counting app. I have tried those and they only made me think about food more often! I liked MyTummy so much in the trial that I paid the $4.99 to keep full access; something else I very rarely do.

Just what I was looking for!

I was looking for a food journal that I could keep up with and simply get a sense of the types of foods I was eating on a daily basis.

I like that keeping track of my meals on here is as simple as taking a picture. I’ve been using it for the last four months and overtime my eating habits have improved and for the first time I don’t eat as mindless less as I used to.

Even when I do eat unhealthy foods, I don’t feel as out of control as I used to because I know that each new day, is a fresh start.

If you’re looking to find a way to keep track of what you eat without counting calories and ounces etc look no further. MyTummy truly helped me with my eating habits and relationship with food! Thank you to the creator of MyTummy!

love this app

MyTummy is so simple and easy to use, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I've been getting really bad stomach aches so I wanted something to track what I'm eating in a day to see what foods are the cause of the stomach aches. I like how MyTummy doesn't make me feel horrible about myself with calorie tracking and things like that. It even has positive affirmations and you can write what you're looking forward to each day.

Great for ppl w/ food issues

MyTummy doesn’t label things as healthy and unhealthy and doesn’t say anything about calories(u can get a calorie tracker app if you are looking to loose weight)it has a counter for how long you should weight until eating again which has helped my binge eating and let’s you take notes so you can say why you are eating this or anything you want and the developer actually listens to what people think unlike other apps

Eating emotional support buddy

This is the only food tracking app that as soon as I opened it and read their starting message I teared up from something positive. They understand that for some people it’s a tough topic, but so so necessary for health.

MyTummy is extremely kind and simple. It does exactly what I want: to track my food in a mindful way that isn’t calorie driven.

It’s free of bombarding adds, and I feel supported in a genuine positive way that I’ve never experienced from a food logging app before 😂

Excellent customer service

I had a wonderful experience with MyTummy developer. I am recovering from an eating disorder and using an intuitive eating approach. Labeling food as healthy or unhealthy is not helpful to my recovery because I have been very sick with anorexia, bulimia and orthorexia and those kind of food labels would make me restrict a tremendous amount of food because labeling certain foods as unhealthy made me afraid of them and led to more and more foods being on my forbidden/restrict list. I asked MyTummy developer if we could disable those food labels so that I can continue to use MyTummy and MyTummy developer was extremely nice and immediately got to work on this as a new update. Thank you so much for listening to your customers. I purchased a premium account immediately to show you support. You genuinely listened and cared to my needs and that means so much.

Mindful Eating <3

My goal was mindful eating rather than calorie counting and MyTummy is perfect. I love that you can customize it so much - picking fun photos from Pinterest for the foods and drinks you’re logging, making your own tags for the foods, and YOU decide if something is “healthy”, “neutral” or “unhealthy”. I am someone who is susceptible to EDs and have to be very careful - MyTummy has simply helped me decide “is eating that worth logging in MyTummy ?” and I am able to evaluate and see real numbers of what I am putting in my body. LOVE MyTummy.

So helpful

MyTummy is exactly what I was looking for. Journaling is one of the most important tools for me in my intuitive eating journey (my thoughts, hunger cues, how I feel after a meal or before a meal, etc) and I love how I can journal all day long as well as simply list the food I’ve eaten without calories tied to it. I personally like the food labels but I love that the developer has an option to turn that off because that can be so super triggering.

Anyway if you’re looking for a great supplement in your journey to a healthy relationship with food, this is it!

Best Food Journal App

Honestly, I don’t ever leave a review on an app unless it’s necessary. I absolutely love MyTummy and especially the “Tummy Timer” feature. It lets you know that the human stomach takes 4 hours to digest food, while also letting you know when your next empty tummy would be. I love seeing that feature because it lets me know that my food still hasn’t digested/ it’s helped me notice when I’m eating out of boredom. Don’t get me wrong, if I’m super super hungry/craving something specifically, then I will eat what I want regardless of the timer. Honestly, you get from MyTummy what you put in.

Excellent for both recovery and ADHD reasons

First: MyTummy is very kind. It is clear that the developer working on it carries a great deal of love for those who might seek it out.

Second: as someone recovering from disordered eating, I am at the point where calorie trackers of any kind are a major trigger for me. But I like taking pics of what I eat! It makes me a take a second to pause and check in with my body to see how hungry I am, a skill I am slowly starting to build.

Third: as a person with ADHD, an additional struggle when it comes to eating is that I will fully forget when I last ate. Did I have breakfast yet? Did I already have my lunch? To that end, I find the Tummy Timer VERY useful for keeping a record of *when* I last ate something.

It seems the developer is actively working on MyTummy and reads the reviews as they come in, so I just want to say: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. The fact that you took the time to make MyTummy and to display so much care for those who use it means the world to me.

Perfect App!

I love MyTummy so much! It remembers the food you eat (even the tags) and as someone recovering from an eating disorder I love that it’s optional to have the healthy/neutral/unhealthy option and also that you get to assign it yourself based on your own goals! The only flaw I thought there was was if you forgot to add something you ate until later you couldn’t change the time…BUT you can! Just click the food in the tummy timer and you can change it! Not to mention the kind inspirational words that the creator puts in. They feel really genuine, unlike many apps with “motivational” messages. I will be recommending to everyone I know.

If you’re going through some disordered eating

This is a great app—I get obsessive with Macros, Calories, Percentage, weight, etc. If I don’t hit them or go over, I tend to feel worthless, like I did something wrong. Unrealistic expectations….Then I spiral…if you’re looking at this, you probably understand.

Over the past several years I have been feeling the effects of perimenopause/menopause & over these past few years have gained 20 lbs that absolutely won’t budge, despite exercise and changing diet . This also complicates my mindset.

I like MyTummy because I will track down what I’ve eaten when and helping me accountable for that, but not getting caught up in all the numbers that caused me to spin. And helping me think about whether my stomach is actually empty. Plus I haven’t over eaten/binged since starting this. I have lost a few pounds over the past few weeks as I’ve started, slow and steady. While I am weighing myself, I am also giving myself some grace.

The little daily messages help me with that too.

Definitely recommend!

Gentle, Intuitive Food Tracking App!

Hi there! I’d just like to tell you how amazing I think your app is…I was looking for a simple way to log my food in a gentle, human looking way and MyTummy is it 😊 I love that I can enter pics of my own food. I have been creating my own database of the foods I eat, and this process has actually slowed me down and help me avoid a couple of binges 😊 I also love the Tummy Timer…it’s a gentle way of helping me wait sometimes before I eat again 😊 I also really love the daily messages! I save them in my phone and re-read them for nice little reminders 😊 I really appreciate the care that you’ve put into MyTummy, and the gentle, friendly nature of it…many thanks! 😊💜😊

Great app, don’t be fooled by these reviews

If you are looking for an app to help you lose weight, choose any of the other calorie counting or weight loss apps out there. But if you need a food diary app, especially if you are dealing with or have had issues in the past with eating disorders, this is a great way to keep track of the food you eat without looking at calories, portion sizes, nutritional levels, etc. It’s a free app that lets you take pictures of what you ate in a day that includes a categorizing system of healthy, neutral, or unhealthy option. There’s no overthinking it, there’s even a timer to show when your tummy should be empty after what you’ve eaten. It’s so motivating and supportive to anyone looking for a way to keep track of just eating and taking a step towards food accountability.

Loving it! Already paid for the premium!

I started the free trial, and already determined MyTummy is SO worth $5. I’ve used other food trackers to help me be more mindful, but this is just what I need. It’s simple, but very helpful. I’ve already been so much more mindful! I love the timer feature and the progress tracker

Suggestions: more of a library of images, more tags (eg why fruit but not veggie)
