When I hit the “count” button, CountThis immediately crashes.

With the good reviews I’ve seen, I’m hoping this is just temporary and that a fix is coming soon. Would love to try it out for real.

Laid out 5 spoons perfectly on a table. They were exactly the same and all arranged the same way. First time CountThis counted 2 and the second time it counted 6. I would never trust CountThis to count anything important and would also double check the result…which defeats the whole point.

I came onto CountThis Store for something else and I thought wow I can use it at my job but unfortunately it’s unable to count anything that’s not obvious. Literally meaning stuff that I can count myself it would be so much quicker to do by myself then it would be to pull my phone out and take a picture and do all that stuff. Do you self a favor and count it yourself be a lot quicker you should be driving down the road hold your phone up to lumber you can count that by yourself. This world is gotten too lazy half the people don’t even work it’s sad nobody's counting think about 20 years ago all we did was count

I had about 40 green Hershey Kisses on a gray counter. EXTREMELY contrasted and should have been easy. First try say 11 missing a ton. Second attempt showed 76! It counted multiple of them several times each.

I gave it the easiest job ever and it failed….

A coworker mentioned CountThis for helping count meds in our pharmacy at our vet office- you know just as a recheck. Sounded good since sometimes you have tiny little pills that like to slide everywhere. I tried something out simple - I needed 13 white round pills, aspirin size. I precounted them, laid them out on a plain brown counter top, evenly spaced and tried CountThis . It counted 14…there was nothing else in the picture for it to miss count. The “14th” pill was marked in a plain empty brown spot of the counter.

I can’t stand apps like this that use a subscription model for no reason other than to make money. No matter how bad I need to count things I’m not going to pay a subscription to do so.

What free features? You can’t even get to use CountThis without some sort of transaction. Let me use it for free a couple times then ask for a subscription!

I thought this might be some cool AI/Machine learning tech that I could use for other things…but it actually just doesn’t do anything worthwhile. I tried to stage simple photos and none of them counted anywhere close to correctly. Please fix it and make it better.

CountThis is absolutely garbage. I was attempting to scan multiple objects at once and CountThis only scanned one of the items. I would not recommend installing CountThis it also hides everything behind a pay wall and you get add every time you try to scan something without the subscription. Would give 0 stars but 1 is the lowest. DO NOT INSTALL CountThis!!!!!

Good reviews are mostly fake really. First off. It’s starts with two lies: in app purchases and the fact that it’s simple. The in app purchases are 25 bucks per year for CountThis to work. Second. In the limited trial is isn’t that simple and after use it’s about 50% in accurate. Deleted already.

I got CountThis figuring it would work well at work because I am in charge of the fiber laser department and need to have an accurate could of the metal we cut. Well let’s just say it isn’t point your phone at it and it counts it and 99% of the time it’s off a lot. Please fix and I’ll review it again

Tried the subscription. Really hoped it would work out of box but it failed miserably. It can’t even recognize the same objects in the image. It should be very simple and straightforward to detect boundaries and count things using latest computer vision algo like grad-cam or saliency map. Yet, it does seem to execute poorly. It’s more like experimental toy app to show friends around than a tool. It should be a free app. Not worth a penny in my standard.

Love the idea for CountThis. I’m the production administrator at a manufacturing company and am also in charge of inventory. CountThis would be an awesome advancement for the company. I got the 3 day free trial to test the waters, but every time I hit the “count” button, CountThis would crash. It never did work for me. I have an iPhone 12 Pro. Please let me know if you ever get CountThis to work correctly. I’d love to try again and use it!

A counting app that makes you subscribe?
Really? My opinion is that if it worked they wouldn’t ask for a subscription. They are trying to do a money grab before you find out it’s not useful to most of us.

For me, I never could get it to work properly. I tried to count pieces of cereal in a bowl, it made me zoom in so close that I was easily able to see, 6… 6 pieces of cereal. It counted everything, even things that were not there. It doesn’t count small things unless you zoom in close enough that you can easily see how many there are at a glance. I guess I’ve never had a need to count the logs on the back of a truck (for a subscription price) while driving.

It may be useful for some, maybe those that count things for a living, line a stick boy or someone that takes inventory for a grocery store. I don’t know but personally I don’t see the point if it doesn’t SEEM to work well.

Not able to import an image from photos (only counts by taking the photo). The box that you position and resize to select the one object first, isn’t flexible and sizeable enough to grab only one object. App bugs out and kicks me out of CountThis . I was not able to count.

It cost $25/yr or $4/week for an app that can barely count objects. I’m sure someone could find it useful, but at the price I can just count the stuff myself and it would be more accurate. Overall though it’s a cool idea.

Would be good if you could upload photos instead of only live pictures. We have a refrigerated warehouse and counting is always a nightmare. If we can take a bunch of pics then count, it’d be a lot easier.

Counting is not my little daughter’s strong side. I couldn’t find a way to make her sit still and train it. Then I came across CountThis and downloaded it. Now she puts her favorite cubes in front of her, counts them, then we take a photo of them, and CountThis simply counts the cubes for her to check whether she was right or wrong. We both are happy! Thx!

I’m elder individual and I used to have so much trouble counting my medicine but with CountThis life is just been easier when it comes to the medicine I’m so grateful for the developers

Great idea but CountThis doesn’t work at all. I take the picture and then have to highlight the items individually because CountThis fails to recognize the item. I can do that for free with my camera and the markup editing tool. I want my money back.
