ComposerPro is missing many composing features (no 8va, no dual treble for a few measures, no way to write chords where you hold a single note for longer with different time value other than using dual voices), is filled with bugs and poor interface (it’s so time consuming to change notes or time values after input, dragging the note to change it plays back in the wrong octave, saving and importing file is is broken even though it says feature exists) plus there is no email, no useful website, and no tutorials. Not to mention they want you to pay $364/yr for this crap?!
I don’t want to pay $7 A WEEK for an app. The free version has absolutely no features; you can’t change key signatures, written tempo, you can’t even change the instrument name that is shown, and not to mention the adds and the constant begging for you to buy the premium version. Don’t waste your time with this, find something better.
Does much of what I’d like it to… What I can’t find is a way to adjust the tempo or number of measures in a score. I am trying everything to try and find a hidden toolbar or settings menu in the score that would have this functionality. In that hunt I thought of changing the background color to see if anything sticks out. The functionality of changing the background color is blocked unless I give a 5-star review of ComposerPro . Not gonna happen.
So, ComposerPro is… well… something. It’s great, and gets the job done, but god fix this things:
1. To just change the time or key signature, or at least have another instrument, you need to pay a subscription, it’s like they’re forcing you to!
2. Too many adds, please fix.
Hi, I’m only giving this a three star rating at the moment because I literally just downloaded it a few minutes ago and haven’t gotten to check out all the features yet, but I had a question.
A song that I am trying to compose sheet music for by ear is in treble/treble, not the standard treble/bass, and I was wondering if there was a way to alter that as well, like how you’re able to change the different tempo, time signature, key signature, and such according to your needs.
This seemed like the best app for me to be able to do what I wanted to do, but I can’t do it without having double clefs.
Thank you!
ComposerPro was ok got my first pice of music composed and all down but didn’t like a not so I tried to go back and change it, but when I tried to just redo one note almost 20 measures of my piece got deleted. The delete button was locked and even when pushing the back button it didn’t restore the piece. Overall it’s ok.
Way too many ads, you have to watch two just to exit and open a different notation. The ads also play when you are in the middle of a SONG why so many ads?
Looks like a nice app but I can’t figure out how to set a key signature. Tapping the # or b (sharp or flat) buttons don’t seem to work on IPad the way Notation Pad does.
So I got ComposerPro and made a couple songs on same page. But then I left and it took me to premuim page. I can’t get off it and still haven’t been able to. Plz fix this
ComposerPro is good and all, but it could use some expression words for how to start playing a piece and a setting that lets you change the clefs half way through a piece. That would be nice.
Pair this with a tuner to whichever instrument and soon you’ll be playing your favorite songs. Just sing the words into the tuner and put the notes the tuner says and you’ll be playing in no time. Overall an amazing app!
I really love ComposerPro, it allows me to make music! There is a drawback to the limited mode, only being able to use a piano, and I don’t want to pay to use a violin or viola to make it more like what I’m in.
Tempo can not be changed and key Signatures can not be added at the place near the Clefs unless in premium which is $6.00 weekly! There are other music writer apps by this company? I wonder can a written score of mine be transferred onto another one of their song writer app?
ComposerPro is good even if you don’t pay, though the adds are annoying. I’m not saying pay though. If you pay ComposerPro is really good. However, if you don’t you can’t really do much. My advice unless it’s something casual don’t download unless your prepared to pay. Also don’t worry the adds only come up when you turn it on not as you write music
If you don’t know you should get ComposerPro, maybe your a starter or you just want to create pieces to show people, ComposerPro is PERFECT, 5stars easy
I was trying to get something down, and I usually use noteflight for all my composing stuff. However, I only had my phone, and it wasn’t working. I downloaded this and I got the hand of it really quickly! It’s really user friendly, and simple to use for quick composing. Definitely gonna be my on-the-go tool for when I’m not around my laptop!
It really sounds great I love to create not just listen. But lots of other apps that I like to listen to other's creations makes me use a laptop to create…. But this one doesn’t.
CREATE HAVE FUN SHARE WITH THE FAM AND FRIENDS OR JUST U!
Not gonna lie I wrote this review because I could get a different colored background if I gave it five stars. A good app so far as it works. I recommend.
Well. I like it because it’s super simple to use. No complaints.
It’s a very good app for making songs on piano but also has some little problems.
