Rude service

Lady made accusations that just because i didn't report issue with my bike earlier that i was faking it, i don't know if i will ever purchase anything from them again. The day i got the bike the brakes squeal and don't stop right, this company is kind of a sketchy company ,wouldn't recommend if they keep acting this way. Not my fault they cant make a bike properly. The bike has decided to freaking launch me into traffic the error message went away and the motor would not stop i was at a very dangerous intersection……..

Great e-bike, not a great app…

I love my new Aventure 2, just wish they’d work on Aventon to improve its many faults. Needs a way to keep the screen always on, rides aren’t syncing as they should and don’t consistently show up in the rankings section. Calories reported burned isn’t accurate with limited personal info gathered, etc, etc… Please work on bringing the quality of Aventon up to par with the quality of your e-bikes. All your customers would greatly appreciate it. Don’t let the quality of your app scare folks away.

New version does not sync with Level 1.0

Not at all pleased with this version. Tracking my distance is the only feature I use and it’s completely broken. Aventon worked flawlessly last year until this app stealth patched my display’s firmware with a “fix” to the overclock “bug”. Since then, every consecutive version of Aventon has gotten worse with respect to connecting and tracking my rides. What’s the point in using it if it won’t track something as simple as distance travelled? Maybe there’s something else out there that does a better job…

Love my this app bike, hate Aventon!!!

Bike is AMAZING. App falls flat

TLDR; 2 stars because Aventon is hyped in advertising and it doesn’t perform well. It feels like it is still in beta. Love my this app bike. Not a fan of Aventon .

I can’t say enough great things about my this app Pace 500. The bike is AMAZING. I love riding it. This review is specifically for Aventon . Two stars because it is functional and most of the major parts of Aventon work (just not well). First, it pairs easily with my bike’s display. On a couple of occasions it has logged out and I have to login in and connect Aventon to the bike. No biggie, except I don’t realize it until I’m pedaling away. That’s on me, I should check it before mounting my bike. The gps function tracking my rides works mostly well. It tracks and keeps stats (mph, odometer, avg speed, etc) accurately. My gripe is that it stays zoomed out to show my entire route I’ve ridden during my current session. If I try zooming in or hitting the “center on me” button, it immediately zooms back out to show the entire ride again. Not a huge problem unless you don’t know the area well. Zoomed out, it is difficult for my 50 y/o eyes to see all the streets. Aventon has some gamification built in to compare your distance against other this app owners. It ranks by day, week, month, and all time. This feature doesn’t stay current. For me, not a big deal. I mention it because it’s on Aventon and doesn’t track accurately. Finally, the overall build of Aventon is a tad clunky and glitchy.

Basic function, always disconnects

Aventon performs the basic function of recording a ride - usually - but persistently disconnects from my bike if I pause riding to look at something on the trail, even in areas with great WiFi signal. Nearly every time I ride, at the end of the ride I find Aventon has disconnected & I have to turn my phone & bike off & on to get them to reconnect so I can save the ride. On my last ride, it recorded a 9.6 mile ride rather than the 13.6 miles my bike showed I did, probably because of disconnection problems. I love my Level 2 but I hate Aventon so much it makes me want to get a Trek. My spouse NEVER has these problems with his app. We have the same phone.

Unstable for tracking rides and just generally buggy

Aventon looks good and connects to the bike consistently, but the tracking of rides feature has crash 3 times in the past week. I also noticed that the leaderboard is somehow not in sync with the current days rides. Occasionally when I am in Aventon in settings, additional features appear, like setting the pow for each pedal assist level. I tried to modify the setting but they wouldn’t save. No consistency as to when these features appear or not. Overall Aventon is a big disappointment, given the hype it gets when you purchase the bike. The bike (soltera) is great but Aventon is not ready for public use. I see from other responses from the developers that their team is small, but that means nothing to me when I spent $1300 for a bike AND an app. Way too must hype around Aventon on the website for it to be of such poor quality. Please fix it.

I can provided details and specific examples to your development team if that helps

So far it’s ok

It’s kinda Strava like with some different data metrics. It would be nice if it had a pause button. Since this is replacing my car I run errands and I have to leave Aventon “on” with the bike off when I go into Target. Also the calories burned is a useless metric if you know nothing about me (weight, age etc.) like my other apps and devices know. Apple Watch linking would be cool too but not a have to have.

Decent app that could use more features

Aventon seems to work well enough for the information it collects. It would be nice to be able to export the recorded rides out to a GPX or offering some integration with Strava. Also, some integration with then Health app to record the rides as a workout. Lastly, as others have mentioned, I’m not sure how it’s calculating calories burned without getting some info from the rider.

Freezes up, fails to record trips

Aventon has a function where you press “go” to start recording your trip details. Once your done with your ride, you press “stop” which ends the trip recording and is supposed to log the trip. Aventon locks up while recording so that you cannot stop the trip recording thus you lose all of your trip data, it’s log that you even took the trip. I’d say about 50% if my trips are missing because it locks up when recording a trip.

The Level 2 is awesome! The app not so much

Getting an this app Level 2 is turning out to be a great decision. Covid and cancer pretty much destroyed my ability to take on hills that I used to do on a regular basis. Now I’m back out on the road and loving it with a little help from my bike. Aventon on the other hand needs a little work. It doesn’t like to sync with my bike or record rides. Aventon is a great concept that needs a little work to live up to its potential. That’s ok with me because really it’s all about the bike which is awesome!

Great bike, weak app

I have an this app Level.2 and while the bike is great, Aventon for this app is not great at all. First off it doesn’t record my entire for me to share. I mean sure it auto records but not when I hit the go button, it’ll work for about 10 to 15 minutes. Thank God for my Apple Watch and the fitness which gives a more accurate description of my rides. Aventon needs some major improvement, luckily the bike performance makes up for it.

Edit- well since this never got sent I’ve decided to change my mind and say yea vast improvements, especially on recording my rides. I know now it doesn’t put ghost peddling or coasting into consideration but that’s fair.

Not bad really

Because the color screen on my Aventure.2 is dim in direct sunlight and I wear sunglasses, I rely on the controls on the iPhone a lot. This is very helpful, having it mounted on my e-bike and using Aventon is great for things like controlling the lights, looking at total trip distance, etc. The actual ride tracking is not great comparing to the outside bike workout my Apple Watch does though. It’s annoying to have to run both to get my exercise rings, and credit in the this app app. Other bike apps don’t make you do this. Also, I highly question the metrics Aventon gives you when you’re done. How does it say I burned 100 cals when I was riding a whole hour on eco mode and my watch says 900 cals? If this app can tighten up the results and work better with the eco system here instead of working against it, it would be better. So much potential here though and I’m here for it.

Handles well on gravel so far!

I haven’t been comfortable or very confident riding a bike on gravel roads for many years because of an accident in my youth. Thus far, my new Adventure 2.0 e-bike handles gravel really well and my confidence while riding on gravel is building! I look forward to taking it out for a spin when we’ve got some snow this winter as well❄️🚲 and most definitely in the spring!

I love my Adventure.2 but…

There are some things that should be updated with a patch. The black screen on the controller is terrible for riding in the sun with sunglasses. It makes it impossible to see most of the information. I haven’t gotten a phone mount yet, but I shouldn’t have to. Why can’t I select the color I want my screen to be? Black at night would be perfect, white during the day perfect. Maybe they switch as I turn my head light on.. cmon guys, for the price of these bikes we can sort these things out. There’s not much to Aventon . The “reward” system is lacking. It works with the settings on properly though.

Good but buggy

I really love the experience of Aventon. The UI is beautifully designed. Sadly it’s a bit buggy. It has a hard time connecting to my bike. Sometimes it disconnects and doesn’t track my ride. I love the community aspect. It’s a nice way to connect with other riders and get help if you have questions. Nice job this app design team!

Pace 500 E-Bike

Just purchased a Pace 500 and absolutely love it! Great looking, is easy to ride and has so much power. I rode 22.3 miles yesterday and still had 67% battery life to use even after going up several steep hills. I love pedal assistance and throttle capability. I could easily go 40 miles on one charge. My friend Sandy was so impressed, she purchased one immediately. Best performance and price!

Works As Advertised

I see no problems with Aventon, especially when used as a supplement to, and not a replacement for, the built in color screen of the this app Aventure E Bike.

I like that you can see the bike stats and control the lights remotely from Aventon . I wish it offered some security lock out of the electric motor, but other than that Aventon performs as expected abs includes the features I would expect. The UI looks very clean and well put together, so thank you for not going cheap on an app developer!

Overall Aventon could include a few more features to make the bike smarter, but I think it is a quality companion app for the this app E Bikes.

Sharing bug/typo

Hey guys! Love Aventon . Quick thing I noticed: After you tap the share icon it shows Max Speed twice rather than Max Speed then Avg Speed. The numbers are correct you just need to edit the second Max Speed to read/represent Avg Speed. Hope this makes sense.

2 years with Aventure - bike is a beast

I generally don’t complain about mundane things like app sync and the like.
What’s important to me is performance, stability, reliability, and quality.
My 2022 Aventure has all of that. I’m an aggressive rider and have had to ditch or risk getting injured or ran over by a car. This bike has taken a beating and I mean that. It won’t quit; even with a uneven battery position, it still fires up every time. The ONLY thing I have an issue with is the brake performance. I could do with an upgrade to the hydraulic braking system. The name eludes me at the moment. Other than that; I would buy this bike anytime, anywhere. For what $1800 I think it is now; no brainer.

Love life riding into the sunset

I just turned 68 retire sanitation department worker. I love biking it’s truly keeping me alive. I have no plans of sitting around waiting to die. Many people shake there heads, as they ride by on none powered e-bike. There’s plenty of road to share with everyone. Much love and respect all people. Living life one day at a time.
