The GoGuardian App Reviews

I, a teacher of 27 years, previously used go guardian for a class of 14, and experienced a lot off difficulties. TheGoGuardianApp often went unresponsive and crashes. While attempting to access the big ideas math program my students ended up having to reset their computers due to it not unblocking. Upon restarting there computers 3 of my students Google account’s were deleted, five of there’s saved passwords were deleted, and the other 6 were still blocked from the platform. Upon deleting TheGoGuardianApp the problem was not solved.

Overall I would never recommend TheGoGuardianApp to anyone.

This is just used for violating people’s privacy as you can install it on loved ones or work devises and see every thing from windows to search history as well as block sites. Just disgusting

To be honest, go guardian is the worst thing ever to download, so do not download TheGoGuardianApp. It will not help you. It will only cause chaos with you and your student do not download TheGoGuardianApp at all.

You can’t even open it because it crashes right away.

Go Guardian is one of the stupidest apps ever created I think that go guardian should be banned some kids might have private stuff and my friend was seen changing because of the stupid go guardian app. I vote go guardian GO’s!!!!

Why do people waste thier time making stupid $h*t like this my whole school hates it and they block literally everything and it tracks your location which is against the law

TheGoGuardianApp should never be used in any circumstance. It has less navigation abilities than a blind grandma with Alzheimer’s on her death bed. It will kill your device. No privacy, absolutely 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽🚽. The perfect app to write a one star review.

It looks like this has been the issue for 6 months worth of reviews…6 months!!! Who doesn’t fix something this major after even 6 months!?!?

When I click TheGoGuardianApp icon it crashes immediately and won’t open. Guess I’ll stick to the computer website, but it’s convenient when I’m on the go to have an app. Didn’t even get to try it yet!

You wanna keep spying on us? You wanna keep trying to gain some semblance of control from your pointless little piece of glitchy spyware? Go ahead we’ll tank your reviews, we’ll bring you down as many stars as we can. This is the resistance.

I guess it’s pretty obvious why. Many people say it’s an invasion to their privacy, which is obviously true. I hate TheGoGuardianApp with all my soul. Honestly what psychopath creates such a horrible app that spy’s on kids secretly? Teachers use it, a lot. And it’s horrible. TheGoGuardianApp shouldn’t even have been thought about.
It’s horrible, teachers be strict, kicking, blocking, removing, spying on kids who are minding their business. Honestly remove TheGoGuardianApp.
I don’t care if it makes money off teachers using TheGoGuardianApp daily to spy on children. It shouldn’t be allowed.

TheGoGuardianApp is great and all but, whenever I turn in gogaurdian for my students, it malfunctions and turns off my computer!! AND it shuts my students computers off aswell. I don’t want to write every small detail about it but overall I wish I could do zero stars.

I would rate a 0 if I could! it was so bad I couldn’t even see what my students were doing on they’re chrome books it was so pixelated and laggy. And one of my students showed that it would mix up students names and show different screens. do not use for your district/school.

TheGoGuardianApp is disgusting. It spyed on my device and it locked my device. I had to wipe my hard drive just so I could gain control over my device again. 0/10. I am so sorry to the students who have to live with this garbage watching them everyday.

my school uses this and we can’t even look up images because they are restricted. TheGoGuardianApp is way too controlling especially when our school already has filters and blocked websites. should be removed from TheGoGuardianApp store. it is so bad, i wanna give you a zero, BUT THATS NOT POSSIBLE, so i gave you a one <3

It does do the job of keeping students from being on inappropriate websites, it’s an invasion of privacy if you needed to do something else, if I needed to use a website but there is a presentation, I can’t click off when I need to, and if I were a teacher, it would be hard to see the screens of the students over my device because of how blurry it is.

im a student whos teachers use TheGoGuardianApp, and in particular i would not recommend this to anyone, especially since my teachers use goguardian 24/7, even after school. i would like my privacy by suggesting others who do have TheGoGuardianApp to disable their goguardian class after school. TheGoGuardianApp feels like if a serial killer was waiting for the perfect moment to lunge at you while stabbing you in the heart. besides, i absolutely hate it when im finding sound effects for my scratch games and the teachers have pixabay blocked. i know the purpose of TheGoGuardianApp is to ensure your students to stay safe on the internet, but this exceeds this goal in a bad way. id like it if TheGoGuardianApp put a little less restrictions or deleted entirely. thanks.

Absolute garbage, slows down the internet at our school, blocks like half of the apps we need to use for school, and makes it a nightmare to do anything.

Does TheGoGuardianApp show your screen to see what your child is doing

I am a teacher. And I have tried to get TheGoGuardianApp so I can monitor and control my students computers but it requires a school email which I don’t have. And I can’t get access to make an account to monitor my students. So please can it just require a regular email? Because I’m always catching my students on games or not doing what their supposed to be doing and I can’t do anything about it.
