The more I mess with HackerX, the more I realize it’s sus. The rating section in HackerX doesn’t work, there is no way to contact anyone or any help or support section, and worst of all is that it doesn’t even work for Mac OS! Why is this available in HackerX Store if it isn’t compatible? And the fact that it’s not mentioned until you get into the premium version. That’s scandalous as heck. I want a refund and will contest the charge if it isn’t fixed soon. Not HackerX , either. My refund, please and thank you. I’m not waiting for the Mac OS/tablet compatible version to be released.

I want to give HackerX a good review, but it does not sync progress between multiple devices. The bigger issue at hand is that it cannot allow a user to take test.

I am completely unable to select an answer in tests before the certificates. It will exit out of the tests indicating the screen is just fine, even after a system restart, confirming network connection, and deleting HackerX and reinstalling it will not work.

A beautiful potential, tragically squandered.

It seems strange that despite claiming to offer certifications, they don't list any. I thought they might have them on their website, but when I clicked on 'Support,' I was redirected to a link tree-like website. After clicking on the 'this app' link on their Zaap site, I was taken back to their uninformative site. Their app has no support email, and neither does their site. I'm writing this review in the hope that a developer responds because that seems to be the best way to contact them. If I'm missing something due to my own oversight, please correct me.

Ok the UI is pleasant and attractive. The content is very beginner focused and relies heavily on the user to go forth and use tools/websites not within HackerX . A beginner will get lost trying to navigate those tools with the minimal instructions provided.

Let’s talk about the “pro” membership. They advertise it as a 95% off “Black Friday” sale which has been going on a very long time and probably will indefinitely. Here’s the deal… HackerX and training was never worth the original price, this is just a technique to make the user experience FOMO (Fear of missing out) and boost sales. The training itself is arguably worth what they are asking now, but in my opinion it isn’t worth the bites it’s downloaded on. I refuse to support a developer that enacts such spineless marketing strategies.

So unless you plan to spend $25, I would recommend you not download HackerX because the vast majority of the content is locked behind a pay wall. The quality is not there, The developer is shady at best, and there are much better resources out there (TryHackMe for example).

Every time I try to click on an answer it is not registering. I can pull the question down with 3 fingers, a blackish grey box then takes up space and then I am able to answer the first question. When I try to do the same for the others I have 0 luck. Please review & fix this glitch. I am only able to answer 1 question on the first test. I hope I don’t have trouble with others *fingers crossed*

I downloaded HackerX because I wanted to learn while on the go and had spare time but I noticed that it required access to a computer while the coarse is giving an overview of Linux. How does this make any sense to be on a mobile and a computer at the same time. Many people like myself use HackerX while I’m away from the computer. Why why why

So I went through everything until I got to the the purple scratch thing. So I scratched it and got a 95%. After that it said, “upgrade to pro” and then I couldn’t get off the screen unless I pressed the “home button “ I pressed HackerX again and it went back to the purple certificate thing that you scratch and I did it and I got a 95% again and after that I got stuck on the upgrade to pro screen so I couldn’t continue.

Hello I have really enjoyed the bite size content for when I’m traveling around through out the day I just started and came across and issue for the very first test. The issue seems to be when you start the test and try to click the buttons it does not respond.

I absolutely love HackerX, combined with hack the box… learning more with these than I learned Googles Cybersecurity Professional certificate Program. Maybe we could have a monthly subscription option too tho? Just a thought.

Edit: HackerX won’t connect anymore for me. Stays on the loading screen

The developer is really dedicated to helping you learn. I just wish I had more time to sit and learn everything. I’m gonna have to take a break for now, but I will be back in a few months. So that I can learn everything that the developer is willing to offer. HackerX is wonderful and I think the price is excellent.

It’s important to know how to protect yourself online, especially nowadays. Of course I’m called the millennial and this generation everyone talks to lay about is my generation. But I look forward to being part of the solution, and not the problem. I learning how to protect myself, not just physically, but against all threats is important in this course, not only will help me learn how to do that but it’s also a way to have options as far as income stream goes, and so far I’m enjoying it enough to think maybe I might take this up part time and see where it goes!

I like HackerX because it is very user friendly. I was just able to hop on and start learning right away. When HackerX teaches you how to do stuff, it also teaches you how to prevent it from happening to you. I love that it goes really in depth but in a way that people who just started ethical hacking, weather as a career or just a personals skill HackerX is really good, 5 stars.

Won a lifetime subscription awhile back, and just recently really got into using it regularly and i LOVE it. It keeps everything super user friendly and works well for beginners or even advanced users. I also love that it quizs you on each section, helps to make sure you’re really focusing

I’m only on the second section, but HackerX is so easy to use and I feel like anybody could understand the material the way it is set up. I will probably buy the lifetime service but I am trying to use it a little longer before I do so. If anything changes I will come back and edit this, but for newbies like me this is HackerX to download Forsure!!!! One time payment is amazing compared so all the other services that want monthly subscriptions! Well done!

Love this all, it’s a bit more detailed than others would love to see it progress to go further. Also a link section that lists the links included in the courses and also other user resources would be great!

They need to explain how to download and set up the dvwa and xampp. They do a horrible job I was never even able to get passed this point so I’m rating it a 1. It’s incredibly frustrating. Now I’m never using this again. I’m moving onto another app that is better than this

What a great app. I did try to contact directhacker00 and he tried to do reconnaissance on me and get access to my data and yes I know spoofing and all that but I’m not using banks and all that and I know much more than a little bit. Ha, what a funny dude. People, I’m curious to know who has a cert in this, I’m in progress.

Have restarted app on 2 phones with different accounts even paid for the lifetime premium and still can’t take the tests it won’t allow me to click on any options. Please help me fix this. It’s a good app helps me out but would like full access.

Easy to use, places lessons in order and quizzes you as you go. This is the same as taking this course in college with the Linux foundation and I’m surprised they are not hand in hand here. Is very simple unlike other apps that just throw you into something this one tells you exactly what you must have to train with this one. Personally can’t find my live copy of Kali at the moment but I’ve been doing the same thing running Ubuntu even though Ubuntu is not my favorite Os.

Most apps make you pay the subscription. I’ve never been fond of the subscription idea, just a once and done payment is what I prefer especially on education so if I want to access it again later for any reason, I have that option without having to pay again.
this app allowed this when I purchased it. On top of that, its divided into multiple sections, and interactive questions as you go. It’s definitely helped in the learning curve as I come from a medical and construction background trying my hand at a new career.
It will give you tips on practice, and it has everything in small snack size bites allowing you to build a nice foundation in the fudementals before jumping and getting deeper into hacking.
I appreciate the logic and the thinking behind this application, granted it’s not a replacement for comptia certifications, but it’s a good place to start when you don’t have any other experience or know where to start.
