This game is one of my favorite games. Although it has some issues. The first issue is that we’ve had a lot of repeating questions. We’ve had a question that has been a question 6 times and I’ve only started playing it since 2 weeks ago. Second, fix up grammar and other errors. I’ve counted a lot of misspellings and etc. lastly, some questions should be in different categories. I got a math problem in science and nature. I got a movie question in back to school. Also, there are some questions that are too easy for adults and too hard for children. Great game, but clean it up.

The game just arrived today and I’m playing (against myself) to figure it out before playing it with the family. I noticed that anytime an image is needed to answer the question, it either never pops up or pops up when I only have a few seconds left. I see in the reviews that this has been an issue for a couple of years. I would have hoped this problem would be fixed by now, especially with how heavily this game is being marketed for the Christmas season. Please get some more American trivia writers on staff, as well :) When the image lagging issue is resolved, I will increase to five stars!

This game is very fun to play with family and friends and I would highly recommend this game on family gatherings,play dates and other things. Though I don’t like how you have to pay for a lot of the topics it’s still somewhat educational and worth the purchase but, still it needs more free better topics to play on. Good job to the devoplers!

My wife and I absolutely love the game but there’s a ton of issues with Outsmarted . We just bought the new 00’s category and it stayed in our library for the session and then disappeared and I can’t get a refund from apple for it. There’s tons of questions that require you to look at a picture but they didn’t put the picture in there. Lots of misspellings as well. Really hope they keep releasing categories but I’d also like a lot of these bugs fixed at which point I’ll definitely increase my score to a 5

Our family really enjoys this game! However, one annoying thing about it is sometimes the questions repeat even though we haven’t seen 100% of the questions in the category yet. Especially in the animated films categories. Also, when purchasing new categories, some of the categories only have a small number of questions while other categories have a lot of questions but they all cost the same amount.

Hey I like playing this game…when I can that is. I was playing the other day with some friends and Outsmarted just up and quit on me. We then tried closing Outsmarted and reopening it. They even gave us a new password and we still couldn’t log back into our game to continue. Outsmarted even said everything was updated. So, I don’t know what went wrong but it’s just disappointing to have the game suddenly end like that. Does anyone know how to fix this? I hope Outsmarted developers can help with this?? My rating would be higher if the game worked. It’s a great game when it works.

We love this game! Highly recommended! Perfect for a family game night. Perfect for a date game night. Perfect for a group game night. The remote player option is also brilliant. Everything about the game: packaging, pieces, content, production is on point. Don’t hesitate to pick this one up!

The UI needs some TLC. The adding of your points and wait screens take a while. There’s also no way to check the score when you want to. you have to wait for it to show up. The adult setting still includes some really easy universal knowledge questions and the game is littered with type-os. Fun idea though as long as they keep adding to it and keeping things current.

this app is a fun experience for me and my sister. I am 9 right now and my sister is 12. We love playing this game together on my iPad. Thank you so much for creating this game! I am always Da Vinci because I LOVE HIS HAT!!!!!!! (Sorry, please ignore that.) I love playing online games but I also love board games, so in the contrary this is the PERFECT game!

We didn’t finish the first game we started. Then when we played again, about half the questions were ones we had seen in the first game we played. I will be very angry if that’s how this works. The game is cool but there can’t be a ton of questions you’ve already had. Will change this if it doesn’t continue.

A few of the categories are glitchy and don’t work on every phone. With a few bug fixes, this will be a great game! We had 6 people ranging from 7-30 and we all had categories we could answer easily and others that were a bit more difficult.

My 6 & 8 played with us adults and we all are able to answer and have fun. There is a bad lag on the images that are needed to answer some of the questions. Also wish the instructions were easier to jump back to during game play. Fun! A few bugs to work out.

We liked it. I’m sending it to college with the kids and, using the remote feature, we are going to have family game night occasionally!

Aside from constant crashing, freezing and remote users getting repeatedly bounced, there just aren’t enough questions in each category. If you play this for a couple hours in one night, you’ll be seeing questions repeated ad-nauseum. We actually had to make a rule for when a question comes up that has already come up many times. Not worth it.

If I could give zero stars I would. The first time we tried to use Outsmarted , once the question category was selected it would just repeat the opening sequence and never gives a question. Now Outsmarted can’t even get past the warning that starting a new game will overwrite the previous, it just freezes there. Reached out to support, no response. Don’t waste your money on this game.

Our kids live playing, and it’s hard to find a game we all can agree on. We wish there weren’t quite so many that revolve around Great Britain. We have a hard time answering those!

We have been looking for a game the whole family can play and really enjoy! We have not figured it all out yet but have the basics down. Once we can cast to the tv that will be great.

This is a great trivia game that can be played with people not in the same room. It’s a great idea and super fun for trivia and board game folks. Outsmarted is good for a first version and with a few updates I’m sure will be perfected.

Kept freezing during play; multiple crashes during play and having g to restart. Seemed worse with more players. UI is improved and game is fun; very much like the graded questions based on age; we definitely will keep playing but PLEASE fix the crashing!

Me and my family have played this game multiple times now and I can confirm Outsmarted is poorly made, not only did we all have to close Outsmarted and reopen it multiple times for it to function properly just in one game. but after we bought a category apparently we reused it too much so now we don’t get to play that category we already bought….

This game is pretty fun and simple. The lack of physical pieces is a bit of a letdown, it’s VERY dependent on the online component. There are 0 physical instructions, and sometimes the disconnect between the board and Outsmarted made things difficult to understand. The instructions in Outsmarted are extremely minimal once you are playing the game. We had to look up instructions on a different device as to not cancel the game we were playing. Even a cheat sheet would have been helpful as a link in Outsmarted or a slip of paper in the game. Questions were a good mix of tough and simple, with a lot of range in between.

Well I love trivia so when I heard of this game I was like I need to get this! So me my brother and teacher where all playing. But it took us like thirty minutes to just get started. I also think they should come with paper cards to. So you do not always have to be on a device. Because some can afford a game just no phone or anything like that. So they could not play the game at all. And spent twenty dollars on something they could not play, and could of spent the money on food. But over all this is a good game! Try I!

At first I loved this game - we played several times a week with the family. But it’s plagued with bugs which pretty much ruins the game:

1) The virtual board (on mobile devices) is extremely difficult to accurately move your piece and often becomes non-responsive. They need to make the board pinch/zoomable (duh). So frustrating sometimes I want to throw my phone.

2) Even though the category progress bar has not gotten to 100%, we routinely get the same questions OVER AND OVER even during the same game.

There are other annoying bugs, but those are the two biggest. What a great idea for a game but the developers really need to fix these issues.

My only issues are:
Sometimes the pictures make the answer too obvious.
It’d be nice if the question pack you pay for had fun intros like the base game.

Would love an AppleTV version of Outsmarted .

We have been playing this game for about 9 months now. At the beginning there were a few issues but in the last 7-8 months we haven’t had any problems. When we email customer service we get a response very quickly. They are really nice people and only want us all to have fun so they welcome your feedback. We play with remote players a lot and it’s a blast. We absolutely love this game and are looking forward to the upgrade and the new question packs to come out.

I liked it. It was fun. It was enjoyable. It is entertaining. It was good. Fun time was had by all. It is interesting. It was thrilling. It was exciting. It was amusing. It was gleeful. It was satisfactory. I was wonderful. It was superb. It was great. It was excellent. It was wonderful. It was fantastic.

Just when I have 1 min left the loading screen takes to long the kids version is way to easy everyone said I was cheating but teen is to hard by the way I’m ten but it’s amazing it’s my fav game I got it for. Xmas and eversense then I played it everyday lol just kinda takes forever and we need more questions in each category because I played it for 4 days and new every answer so we had to BUY more so yea my dad did not like buying them but I memorized the answers normally I do so yeah and even my brother did he never memorized everything before so have a fantastic day thanks for reading oh and the you win or lose thing is kinda rigged like everyone gets “GO TO ANY RING” when they have 1 ring left till the final round

It’s not bad just needs a bit of a fix

I got this for Christmas and my family and I have all loved playing it. It's like Trivial Pursuit but I think it's even better because it eliminates the need to have another player read the questions to you, resulting in a much faster game. Something strange did happen once where one player won the game by answering the third "final round" question correctly but the game announced a different player as the winner. Also, a minor detail, but when one chooses to skip a question, it would be nice for the game to tell us what the answer is before moving on. Often I'll skip a question because I don’t want to risk getting it wrong but I'd still like to know what the right answer is.

Keep developing. A lot of it makes no sense. We all get the question on our phones but only one person has the chance to answer? Why not have everyone answer and see who all gets it right? You can win assists but they are shared with all players? Using an assist removes it from everyone’s phone? It’s like we are all on the same team but not. What’s the point of even having a board? You should have some reward for making it around the board or something. I like that you’re trying to get people to interact in person but it could be so much better.

Really enjoying this game with my grown kids. Just a few minor things… the colors on the board (three versions of yellow, orange, red are too close and don’t match the game exactly, making it hard to identify them. Also, the control machine (especially when using an iPad) would be really be nice if it showed a score and some other form of status instead of just mimicking what all of the players are looking at. Keep up the great work with keeping questions current.

Outsmarted leaves a lot to be desired:

1) The host cannot use the virtual game board. So the person who likely knows the rules the best can’t visually show the other players how to play.

2) Remote players are allowed to select categories without rolling or moving around the game board. It leads to outright cheating as remote players can choose only the categories they like or go even further and only select Ring Questions to win the game in 6 questions or so.

The game should automatically move their game piece around the board and select the corresponding category for the players to avoid this obvious flaw. It made the game unusable unless the players are physically present.

3) The voice chat function doesn’t work.

4) More playing pieces would be nice. My family is African American so we all want the one black token piece to choose but we all can’t be George Washington Carver.

This is works as fantastic entertainment to indulge in with one’s comrades. Tata. However, the fact that they gave animated films it’s own category instead of literature is a absolutely garbage decision. Don’t go to the lowest common denominator you illiterate swine.

We bought this game two months ago, and played it right away. Although we had questions that seemed very UK centric (we selected US as our country), our sound worked fine, and it was pretty fun!

However, second time playing tonight and no matter what we do, the sound won’t work. We’ve checked volumes on our phones, sound on our TV, switched devices, uninstalled/reinstalled the game - nothing. So, when the question “What song is this?” comes up, it’s a little challenging! Hopefully it’s an update issue that’ll be fixed soon?!?!

The concept is fun and all and while the questions range from extremely difficult and precise to generally easy, the power up distribution is completely flawed and promotes an unfair advantage. For example, one of my opponents skipped a question and was somehow rewarded with +3 power ups for seemingly no reason. Additionally, several times during the game my opponents will receive power ups without even answering a question first. The power ups need fixing and it will be better in the long run.

This game is super fun and has a lot of add on’s but my only issue is is with the “answer 3 questions in a minute” on the final round. It isn’t truly answering them in one minute. You get one right and it stays if you get another wrong. It’s just answer 3 questions correct to win but not in a timely fashion like how it should be. This isn’t a huge issue but fixing that would make the game 10x better:)

The people are cute. But, the play takes too much time. Before each question you watch 3-5 seconds of nothing. You have to pay money for extra trivia questions. My 22 year old son didn’t like it and I didn’t like it enough to leave a 1 star review. There are better trivia games out there.

I got this game for my husband for Christmas and we have loved it. The standard question categories are great and we have purchased several more. We have noticed that the last three games we have played the game incorrectly noted the winner. When I win, it indicates he is the winner and vice versa. I’m not sure what’s wrong and I’m hoping the developers of Outsmarted will address this soon
