You can’t manually enter your macros

You can only add individual ingredients like 4oz chicken, 1/2 cup rice, etc. you cannot just type in a meals macros if you decide to make a recipe. You would have to calculate how much of each ingredient per meal and simply add 1tsp olive oil, 1/16 cup spinach, etc if your entry is part of a recipe.

Can’t add the info of a food

I have the label and can’t actually enter the food item. It has a barcode and OpenPlate goes can’t find it lets search. But nothing matches. Why am I not allowed to add food?

The app doesn’t work well

It’s not ok that you taking money and OpenPlate not working. Every food I looked up it’s take very long time until it’s find it and then you can’t add it . It’s not working! I want my 10$ back please

Would be perfect if you could make your own foods with macros and everything.

Lovely looking and good tips and everything but i deleted for the only reason of the fact that you cant create your own foods, wish they had that oh well.

frustrated already

OpenPlate is colorful and easy follow. however, just trying to log my second meal has me frustrated with details. i only ate 1/4 of a medium potato but i have to log the entire thing?
couldn't find a place to ask for help. now i'm doing my own math to quarter the total carbs for a full potato. is this what i she to look forward to?

Food Database is wack

Tried logging my first meal of first day using OpenPlate . I typed in Egglands best eggs and my search results were for tangy best Buffalo chicken tenders and Seattle’s best coffee. I’m not sure how eggs brought up these options. Needless to say I didn’t hesitate and deleted OpenPlate and trial.
Now I am craving fried chicken wings for lunch.

Good but could be better

The application is good but could be better if they had a better database. I have put in plenty of restaurants, which are not found when other apps have this data. I will update my rating once they add these.

Thanks but no

Sorry OpenPlate isn’t bad but the big thing is I don’t eat whole portions and it won’t let me down size.

Great app for tracking your water, fats, carbs, proteins

Enjoying OpenPlate . Simple and clean design. It’s been really helpful in tracking my water consumption and my fats, carbs + protein. Really wish I could see an overview of a few items outside of macros because I need to track my daily sugar and fiber intake. Also would love if there was a feature to export my food log to provide my doctor/nutritionist.

Great tool

Except burned calories are way out of real numbers

If you take data, show data (Updated)

Update: developers pointed out that the weight graphs are under my profile! Which apparently I did not check even though I could have sworn I scoured OpenPlate , lol. I think I expected it to be under trends, which still makes more sense?? I still don’t love OpenPlate but it is a relief that they do allow you to see weight changes over time. And I appreciate the quick and kind response to my review.

Original: OpenPlate asks you to log weight and then has no charts or graphs of weight fluctuation over time. I was drawn to OpenPlate because of the noom-like tracking of the calorie density of food, and there are some good features, but I’m frustrated I’ve spent the past couple months logging my weight and I can’t SEE it.

They withdrew a whole years worth (50$) from my bank even though all I did was sign in with my apple ID. I never agreed to any sort of trial period. I am beyond furious.
