I am trying to register in order to use Hilokal ; however, after completing the name/gender page and tapping next, I get a message to restart Hilokal . 왜요????

Can’t even get past the first screen where you put your native language, language you wanna learn, etc. Even tried deleting Hilokal completely and redownloading it and nothing.

If you’re Black or gay or both. Prepare to be harassed by dozens of Middle eastern men who beg you for nudes and call you every single slur on the voice chat if you don’t comply! Don’t bother reporting it, they don’t moderate the voice tables so you’ll be left in the audience while some guy in Algeria berates you for either your race or sexuality before hoping in yet another unmoderated DM to berate you some more.

I decided to download Hilokal after it was recommended to me, however I can’t even get past the sign up because it says my email—which has always worked just fine before—is invalid. It’s a shame because I thought that perhaps this could be a very nice app to study languages.

Content creator studywithgya got banned from Hilokal for “racism” even though she never has said anything and experienced racism herself!! She even has the proof but they did not believe her or her friends and got her banned FIX YOUR APP!!

The moderators on Hilokal have a serious problem. They ban people who haven’t done anything wrong but people who are serious offenders who are highly sexist and racist don’t get banned. The bot that tells you your account has a warning doesn’t say why you are warned or what you did. But today it banned me for no reason at all. I couldn’t even read the message as to what happened. I want to know why there is no contact support for this to get the banning over ruled

Want let me continue. I get to where it has name and gender but doesn’t let me click on anything, then box that says this app VIP and something about go to premium on 3rd page that you can scroll to. Stuck there can’t move forward.

I’ve been using Hilokal on and off for months now and I’ve had almost no bad experiences with any of the people except for today. I was talking to two great people and then another person comes in calling us stupid Americans and literally just yelling about how they hate Americans. As soon as they left a Korean person came in yelling “black American black American” and then left. How am I supposed to report them while in the call I they leave so quickly???? How am I supposed to give proof???? The worst part is after the call you can see the table history and after I reported one account I tried to report another but the table history was gone. (Not that reporting it would do a nothing anyways) but I wasn’t able to even block the two people who thought discrimination was funny. Hilokal was doing so well until I saw how they handle those type of people and now I’m pretty frustrated with this app smh. Do better.

I’ve been using it for few days now And I fell in love with it❤️ I give 4 stars coz there is still room for improvement and Hilokal could go much better than now.

I have few suggestions:
- firstly please add an option for us to be able to choose more that one language for the practice language option, I’m personally using it to practice 3 languages. Would be great if you let us add more to the list.

- please add Kurdish in the native language section, There are more than 40 millions of nativeKurdish speakers now, not only me I’ve also met quite few Kurdish speakers in Hilokal.
Now I don’t know what to choose for my native language in Hilokal coz my only native language is kurdish.

Andd if you add Kurdish language, I would definitely become a tutor in your app as well. I’m myself a Kurdish tutor.😄

Hilokal is so good im learning korean better

There are so many good teachers on Hilokal that can help you learn the language you want to improve on. I had my doubts when I downloaded it but I was surprised to find out that this really helps because there are not only Foreign Trainers, but Native Trainers as well. I recommend to anyone who really wants to learn and is dedicated toward their goal. This will help you get there faster.

A very creative app for language exchange! It’s a cross between language exchange and taking classes! You can be a teacher or a student on Hilokal with group up to 6 while others can just listen in! Multiple features and more to come!

I have been using Hilokal for a while today bew update came out and as Hilokal suggested me to update i did but after that Hilokal would kick me out by itself like it won’t let me in Hilokal at all... this is really disappointing. Im not able to use Hilokal anymore. Can you guys please look into it and fix this issue.
