The words they offer everyday are no tougher than “the.”

Simple words, bloated with ads and I can't find WordoftheDay on my phone to uninstall it. It's such an insult to my intelligence I'm tempted to factory reset my phone just to get rid of it.

All of the words so far have been boring, eggshell, litter, submarine. Give us words that aren’t usually used daily or are common

I was thinking this would give me new unknown interesting words. Instead it’s a vocabulary spelling list fir a second grader. “Rinse” and “kidnap” were the latest ones, seriously?? Update - new exotic 2nd grader word of day - drumroll ... “toothbrush” x(

Up until now, the words have been really simple, words that no one would need a definition for (ie. DOWNTOWN)… today’s word is not even a word: INDITE 🙄😞

Seriously? The daily words are commonplace and I think that most ten year olds would be familiar. Anchor, really?

Today’s word of the day was licence. That should be all you need to know right there. The specific example was “a gun licence” the definition is absolutely AI generated. Deleting app now, it’s garbage.

Most of the words are every day, easy words that anyone would know. I’d prefer to learn words that aren’t as basic

I don’t like how your word stays literally for the whole day. You can’t swipe. Most of the words I already know so I’m not learning anything new

Words are every day words. I did this to expand my vocabulary. I’m getting stranded, symbolic and trace. I can’t change the setting so WordoftheDay is pointless

I downloaded WordoftheDay to improve my vocabulary, but I’m getting words from my third grade spelling test. Three days into it and I have gotten words like “transit” and “exactly”.

WordoftheDay offers very basic words of the day so far (myth, drum), it has not been great for expanding vocabulary. I have not seen an option to change difficulty level.

You all can really do w/o the ads; you don’t even get to look at the word before an ad comes on! And you have to go to google to even hear the pronunciation. Like I said, waste of space

I already new almost all of these words, you would think that someone intelligent enough to install an app on their device, would know words like: snack , sailor, and exam. I have a pretty large vocabulary already, but these are words almost anyone should know.

First “word of the day”: shortage
Shortage.

Who takes the valuable time and energy to seek out a word of the day app and download it, and finds themselves satisfied with that?!

Perhaps there is no shortage of more challenging words in WordoftheDay , and the only shortage here is one of mine own patience. On that note, I add one star to the single star it may have been, an act of my own self-cognizance. Feel free to use that freebie.

The vocabulary words shared are too basic. I open WordoftheDay every morning to words that I already know. Please start introducing higher level words

Good concept for a widget. Pronunciation tool does not work..

all the words are pretty simple

No personalizing, no questions, no tricks. It’s a straight up word of the day and even gives you the link to the oxford dictionary and to look it up or translate on google! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!
